This isn’t our first look at the Nubia Red Magic gaming phone but you’ll agree the device comes with a design that is just so good looking. It is a bit disappointing that the Nubia Red Magic gaming phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 835 chipset which already has a successor in the more efficient Snapdragon 845. Other than that, the Red Magic has a magical touch on the design aspect which is indicative that Nubia deserves some accolades for this one.

The Nubia Red Magic gaming smartphone features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with an edge-to-edge 2.5D NEG T2X-1 screen, 18:9 aspect ratio and 1500:1 contrast ratio. The smartphone body is made from aluminium with an ergonomic design that is friendly for prolonged gameplay. The body design is crafted using advanced thermal modelling techniques.

On the internal design, the device is also touted to be the first smartphone to use an all-new air convection cooling system. The cooling system is designed in a way that it dissipates heat effectively across its diamond-cut design without compromising on performance. To make it stand out from the competition, the phone is branded with a distinctive RGB LED strip. Other features of the Red Magic gaming phone includes an 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, DTS Technology and Smart Amplifier system for an immersive sound experience. There is also a 6GB RAM + 64GB storage version. In addition, the smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box and is powered by a 3,800mAh battery which can provide up to 7 hours of gameplay on a single charge.

The Nubia gaming phone has already been revealed to go by the name Nubia Red Magic phone and already press invites to the launch have started rolling out. Just a couple of days to go, we have now spotted the real photo of the Nubia Red Magic phone showing both the front and back designs. 

The Nubia Red Magic Gaming Phone is expected to come with a powerful hardware configuration and a unique design. The design is said to include cool lighting effects with a super run-class design. The device is also expected to come with four cooling fans to provide some level of cooling. The design will also include some cooling features such as air cooling, near black body, carbon nano-material and a three-dimensional wind tunnel section structure. Although the photo isn’t very clear, we can guess the presence of a dual camera setup on the device as well as a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Gaming phones are the new trend in the market and the Chinese are making sure that they are on top of this trend. After the launch of the Xiaomi backed Black Shark gaming smartphone, another Chinese company, Nubia, is all set to unveil its own gaming smartphone — the Nubia Red Magic Phone. The launch is on April 19 and the company has started sending out invites to the media. What’s interesting about these invites is how they look.

The Nubia Red Magic Gaming phone invite comes in the form of a supply crate from the popular game Rules of Survival: Battle Royale. If you haven’t played this game before, then know that during gameplay, multiple supply crates drop in from the sky that helps users gather ammo and other gadgets in order to increase their chances of survival. The supply crates in the game look like the invite above.

Once you open the invite, you’d find a scroll with the code: 0008,4767,7621,0008,2052,3172. Chinese media has already decoded it and it says, “No Red Magic Survive”. Don’t go by its literal meaning as it kind of means ‘Be the Best’. So, this is a way to keep the media interested in the April 19 event.

The company has already started teasing the phone and we have also got a first glimpse of the handset thanks to a image shared by one of its executives. Expect powerful hardware, next-gen cooling technology, and features that ensure high frame rate during gameplay on the new Red Magic Phone.

ZTE’s Nubia today held a conference in Beijing where the full-screen Nubia V18 was launched. During the event, Nubia CEO Ni Fei revealed the logic behind the naming of the V-series. He hinted that the series is targeted at young users and the main driving force is the pricing. Subsequent V-series models will be named in the format of V+year. Thus, next year’s model will be V19.

Ni Fei also spoke on the Nubia gaming phone which is expected to hit the market in April. The CEO disclosed that the smartphone will be launched simultaneously in China and Europe. Nubia hopes to use the smartphone to enhance its international presence and after that, the company will also target the India market.

It has now been revealed that the Nubia gaming phone is expected to be released in April.

The details of the device are still sketchy but since it is a gaming phone, we expect the device to come with a powerful hardware configuration. The design is said to include cool lighting effects with a super run-class design. The device is also expected to come with four cooling fans to provide some level of cooling. The design will also include some cooling features such as air cooling, near black body, carbon nano-material and a three-dimensional wind tunnel section structure. We can’t say for sure if these renders are actually those of the Nubia phone. The two renders are sistincty different in design.

Nubia is no newcomer when it comes t0 8GB RAM phones as the Z17 and Z17s both have 8GB RAM versions. Nubia CEO Ni Fei has already confirmed the company is working on a gaming smartphone so, we hope to meet with the device next month. The exact launch date is still evasive.

Nubia is present at MWC 2018 and the company has used the big event to announce its first gaming smartphone concept. The announcement doesn’t come as a surprise, as the company had already teased its upcoming phone a few days before MWC.

After the decent success of the Razer Phone, smartphone companies seem to be eager to tap into the growing mobile gaming market. Despite the high-end hardware packed inside the top flagships of recent years, it’s still not optimised for a smooth gaming experience. When it comes to gaming, enthusiasts are often left wanting for more out of their smartphones and this is where companies like Razer and even Nubia are hoping to deliver.

Unlike the Razer Phone, Nubia’s Gaming smartphone is still a concept. But the company’s GM, Ni Fei has confirmed that the phone will be launching in China sometime in the coming months. So, it shouldn’t be long until you see the phone hit the Chinese market

Nubia has always been known for its beautifully designed smartphones and this year, the company is tapping into its strongest department to attract customers. We still don’t know what the phone is going to be called, but we know what it looks like in concept. The phone seems to be inspired right out of a super car design. Unlike traditional smartphones which feature a flat or slightly curved back, this Nubia gaming concept phone has several cuts like a super car. The cameras and the other sensors are vertically arranged along the center line. Further, there are orange highlights along the top and bottom lines, further mimicking the design of a super car.

The top and bottom sides of the phone also feature a different coloured highlight, making it stand out. The front seems to be like a traditional premium smartphone, but we can’t say anything about its screen to body ratio as the render is completely black up front.

The Nubia gaming smartphone concept is said to feature some very high-end stuff like carbon nano-material for its body and air cooled design to keep the temperature low even during heavy game play. The company seems to be using an innovative cooling technology for this phone, but exact details are not available at the moment. We expect a lot of other high-end features on the phone, but at this moment, hardware details are scarce. Considering its placement as a premium gaming phone, expect nothing less than SD845 and 8GB RAM on the device. There could be gaming centric features as well like 120Hz screen refresh rate among other things but for that, we’ll have to wait for more details.
