Like promised, the company has taken the wraps off the device a couple of hours ago in China. The device starts at a price tag of 2399 Yuan ($364), which tells us that the company is targeting the upper mid-range segment with this device.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-02.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-70178" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-02.jpg?x10805" alt="nubia prague s 02" width="690" height="461" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-02.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-02-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-02-600x401.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-02-629x420.jpg 629w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-02-537x360.jpg 537w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-02-640x428.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-02-681x455.jpg 681w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>Like the beautiful My Prague model launched last year, the company has paid special attention on the overall design of the new Prague S. The phone is thin and comes with 2.5D glass on both the sides, along with a metal frame. So, the overall design of the phone looks quite attractive. Plus, you get two color options to choose from, namely white and gold.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-01.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-70179" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-01.jpg?x10805" alt="nubia prague s 01" width="1436" height="960" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-01.jpg 1436w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-01-300x201.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-01-1024x685.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-01-600x401.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-01-628x420.jpg 628w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-01-537x360.jpg 537w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-01-640x428.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-01-681x455.jpg 681w" sizes="(max-width: 1436px) 100vw, 1436px" /></a></p>
<p>As for the hardware specs, the Prague S model comes with the mid-range Snapdragon 615 chipset under the hood. Unfortunately, this is not a chip that we expected to be inside a $364 smartphone, but then if you are not a power user, the chip should suffice just fine. However, in the memory department, the company does not disappoint. You can choose between two storage options, 3GB + 64GB or 4GB + 64GB. It&#8217;s good to see that both versions feature large 64GB internal storage. As for the display, you get a compact 5.2-inch FHD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution Super AMOLED display.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-03.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-70177" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-03.jpg?x10805" alt="nubia prague s 03" width="690" height="461" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-03.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-03-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-03-600x401.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-03-629x420.jpg 629w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-03-537x360.jpg 537w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-03-640x428.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-03-681x455.jpg 681w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>Nubia smartphones are known for their cameras, and this particular device does not disappoint, at least in terms of specs. The Prague S comes with a 13MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor with 5P Lens and fast 0.2s focus. Further, you have the company&#8217;s popular NeoVision 5.2 software which will enhance the camera experience on the device. Up front, you have a powerful 8MP selfie camera with special features such as manual whitening, face lift etc. Further, the dedicated camera button on the left will make sure that your selfies come out perfect.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-04.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-70176" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-04.jpg?x10805" alt="nubia prague s 04" width="690" height="461" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-04.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-04-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-04-600x401.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-04-629x420.jpg 629w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-04-537x360.jpg 537w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-04-640x428.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/nubia-prague-s-04-681x455.jpg 681w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>As for the connectivity features, you have the usual stuff like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, along with Hi-Fi audio. The battery is decent, with a capacity of 2200mAh. It helps that the phone supports fast charge. The company claims that 10 minutes of charging will give you 25% of charge.</p>
<p>Other highlighted features of the device include support for the company&#8217;s FiT touch technology (Frame interactive tech), which was found initially on the Nubia Z9 and Eye recognition. So, no fingerprint sensor on board. The phone supports dual SIM dual standby with 4G LTE.</p>
<p>Considering its 2.5D glass body and the specs, we might think that the OnePlus X turns out to be a good competitor for the device. So, for the addition of Eye Recognition, Hi-Fi and some other features, do you think the Prague S is worth paying $364?</p>

One was the rumored<a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/01/12/nubia-z11-renders-surface-reveals-a-dual-camera-setup-fingerprint-sensor/"> Nubia Z11</a>, the successor to the Z9 and the other was the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/01/07/nubia-x8-leaked-metal-body-gold-fingerprint-id/">new Nubia X8</a> flagship. While we expected the company to announce either of the two products at the January 18 event next week, it looks like Nubia will release the Prague S model at the event.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Nubia-Prague-S-teaser.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-69778" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Nubia-Prague-S-teaser.jpg?x10805" alt="Nubia Prague S teaser" width="610" height="1082" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Nubia-Prague-S-teaser.jpg 610w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Nubia-Prague-S-teaser-169x300.jpg 169w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Nubia-Prague-S-teaser-577x1024.jpg 577w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Nubia-Prague-S-teaser-600x1064.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Nubia-Prague-S-teaser-237x420.jpg 237w" sizes="(max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px" /></a></p>
<p>Earlier today, the company released a new teaser poster via its official Weibo account, where it revealed that it will announce the Nubia Prague S model next week. In this regard, the company also noted that there were just five days left for the launch. So, it looks like we may not see any of above two flagships at this event.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, we haven&#8217;t heard anything about the new Prague S in terms of leaks or renders. All our focus has been on the Nubia X8 and the Z11 till now, so it would be interesting to see what the upcoming device brings to the table.</p>
<p>Prague is not Nubia&#8217;s high-end smartphone series, so we can expect something mid-range from the Prague S. To give you some perspective, the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/07/15/nubia-officially-launches-my-prague-smartphone-globally/" target="_blank">Nubia My Prague</a> came with 5.2-inch FHD 2.5D glass display, Snapdragon 615 with 2GB/ 3GB RAM and 16GB/ 32GB storage options, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, 2200mAh battery (with fast charge) and a super slim &#8211; 5.5mm thin metal body.</p>
<p>At this moment, we have very little information about the device. But since the company has said that it will release the device in five days, we can expect more information pretty soon.</p>
