Users can easily identify the update by checking for the firmware version G990B2XXU5FWK3/G990B2ODM5FWK3/G990B2XXU5FWK3. However, it’s worth noting that this update comes with a substantial 2GB download size.

In addition to upgrading the operating system to Android 14, the update also ups the security to the Android security patch November 2023 level. While the official update changelog from the brand is yet to be released through official channels, users will have the opportunity to review new features before proceeding with the update. Samsung has started rolling out the much-anticipated Android 14 update in Europe for its Galaxy Tab 8 series. The Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra are now set to undergo a transformation with the latest One UI 6.0 upgrade.

Owners of the Tab S8 series can expect a firmware update per variant: X706BXXU5CWK7 for the vanilla S8, X806BXXU5CWK7 for the Plus model, and X906BXXU5CWK7 for the Ultra flagship. Alongside these updates, the tablets will also receive the November 2023 security patch, which gets rid of 37 vulnerabilities.
