<p>A new update with firmware version <strong>A426BXXU1BUB7 </strong>is rolling out to the users of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a42-5g/">Galaxy A42 5G</a> in the Netherlands. This update brings the latest <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/one-ui-3.1">One UI 3.1</a> based on Android 11. Also, this is a direct jump from the One UI 2.5. Samsung initially started its Android 11 <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/03/one-ui-3-0-stable-rollout-for-samsung-galaxy-s20-series/">rollout process</a> with One UI 3.0 on top.</p>
<p>However, it switched tracks to One UI 3.1 after the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/s21">Galaxy S21</a> launch. Anyway, the update brings <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/09/android-11-stable-update-arrives-with-chat-bubbles-screen-recording-and-more/">Android 11 features</a> and the latest One UI 3.1 improvements like revamped UI, improved stock apps, One-time permissions and Permissions auto-reset, Dedicated Media Player widget(in Quick settings), and more.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-366596 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Samsung-Galaxy-M31-Ocean-Blue-Featured.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="4000" height="2250" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Samsung-Galaxy-M31-Ocean-Blue-Featured.jpg 4000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Samsung-Galaxy-M31-Ocean-Blue-Featured-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Samsung-Galaxy-M31-Ocean-Blue-Featured-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Samsung-Galaxy-M31-Ocean-Blue-Featured-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Samsung-Galaxy-M31-Ocean-Blue-Featured-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Samsung-Galaxy-M31-Ocean-Blue-Featured-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Samsung-Galaxy-M31-Ocean-Blue-Featured-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Samsung-Galaxy-M31-Ocean-Blue-Featured-1920x1080.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 4000px) 100vw, 4000px" /></p>
<p>Parallelly, the Samsung Galaxy M31 is getting the incremental <a href="http://www.gizmochian.com/tag/one-ui-core-3.1">One UI Core 3.1</a>. Earlier, the company had rolled out the <a href="http://www.gizmochian.com/tag/one-ui-core-3.0">One UI Core 3.0</a> along with the Android 11 update to the budget device.</p>
<p>An OTA update with firmware version <strong>M315FXXU2BUC1 </strong>weighing about 1.193GB in size is now rolling out to the users of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-m31/">Galaxy M31</a> in India. The changelog says improvements to camera, performance, and security. However, as the UI is now incremented, it should get features <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/10/376329-samsung-galaxy-m31s-android-11-update-one-ui-3-1-india/">like the Galaxy M31s</a>.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that the updates for both these devices include the latest March 2021 security patch. If you are someone living in either of these regions, do sure to check for the OTA(Over The Air) update by navigating to <strong>Settings &gt; Software update &gt; Download and install</strong>.</p>
<p>Considering <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> is in another league when it comes to updating its older devices, this update should expand to other regions in no time.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Unlike many Samsung budget smartphones, the Galaxy M51 did not receive the One UI Core 2.5 update. It also did not get the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/One-UI-3-0/"><span style="font-weight: 400">One UI Core 3.0</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> (Android 11) update. <p><span style="font-weight: 400">In other words, the Galaxy M51 is the first Galaxy M series smartphone to get the One UI 3.1 Core update based on Android 11.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">According to </span><a href="https://www.sammobile.com/news/galaxy-m51-owners-can-experience-one-ui-3-1-after-latest-update/"><i><span style="font-weight: 400">SamMobile</span></i></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, the update for this device is currently live in Russia with firmware version </span><b>M515FXXU2CUB7</b><span style="font-weight: 400">. <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Right now, the software build is being pushed in batches, and therefore, it may take time to reach every unit in the country. Also, we can expect </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Samsung/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Samsung</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> to extend the availability of this update to more regions in the coming days.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Anyway, if you happen to own this handset, then head over to <em>Settings &gt; Software update &gt; Download and install</em> to check whether your phone has received the OTA update yet.</span></p>

Right after the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/06/samsung-announces-android-11-based-one-ui-3-developer-beta-for-galaxy-s20-series/">initial developer beta</a>, it powered through the beta program for present and yesteryear flagships to reach the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/03/one-ui-3-0-stable-rollout-for-samsung-galaxy-s20-series/">stable update stage this month</a>. And now, it has come down to the budget M series of devices.</p>
<p>As Sammobile reports, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> has finally announced the beta program for the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-m31">Galaxy M31</a> in India. To get things out of the way, for the Beta program, you need to enroll via the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung-members-app">Samsung Members App</a>. After opening the app, you will see a <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/one-ui">One UI</a> banner. Click on that to complete the registration process.</p>
<p>Anyway, the first <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/one-ui-core-3.0-beta">One UI Core 3.0 Beta</a> carrying the firmware version <strong>M315FDDU2ZTLF </strong>will <a href="https://www.sammobile.com/news/galaxy-m31-samsung-first-mid-range-phone-android-11-one-ui-3-0-beta/">rollout</a> to the registered devices. It brings the new <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-11">Android 11</a> OS upgrade and December 2020 security patch along with it. That said, we advise you to be wary of the initial Beta build as there is a possibility of bugs.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-361676" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/galaxy-m31-one-ui-core-3-beta.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="719" height="687" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/galaxy-m31-one-ui-core-3-beta.jpg 719w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/galaxy-m31-one-ui-core-3-beta-300x287.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/galaxy-m31-one-ui-core-3-beta-696x665.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/galaxy-m31-one-ui-core-3-beta-440x420.jpg 440w" sizes="(max-width: 719px) 100vw, 719px" /></p>
<h6 class="related" style="text-align: center"><strong>EDITOR&#8217;S PICK: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/03/one-ui-3-1-in-works-could-debut-with-galaxy-s21/">One UI 3.1 already in the works; likely to debut at the Samsung Galaxy S21 series event</a></strong></h6>
<p>Apart from the Android 11 features like chat bubbles, revamped notifications you should also see <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/10/31/samsung-one-ui-3-0-features-teaser/">new features of One UI 3.0</a> in the update. However, since this is a budget device, Samsung might limit certain features of the One UI Core. In case you don&#8217;t know, Samsung uses <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/one-ui-core">One UI Core</a> instead of full-fledged One UI for budget devices like the M-series.</p>
<p>Nevertheless, the early Beta signals a stable update sooner than the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/08/samsung-one-ui-3-0-android-11-update-timeline-schedule-roadmap-india/">scheduled timeline</a>(March 2021) for the device. If you are living in India, you can check for the first Beta(after registering) by navigating to Settings-&gt;Software Update-&gt; Download and Install.</p>
<p>Samsung announced the One UI 3.0 back in August. It has already updated the flagships like the Galaxy S20 series(incl S20 FE), Note 20 series, Galaxy S10 Lite, and Z Flip 5G.</p>
<h6 class="related" style="text-align: center"><strong>UP NEXT: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/23/samsung-galaxy-s21-series-detailed-pricing-leak-for-european-markets-appear/">Samsung Galaxy S21 series detailed pricing leak for European markets appear</a></strong></h6>
