We were hoping that the company would make up for that with a new OnePlus 10 Ultra. However, according to a new report, there is going to be no “Ultra”. OnePlus will instead launch a new “T” series smartphone, dubbed OnePlus 10T 5G.

According to a tweet by Max Jambor, OnePlus is working on a “OnePlus 10T” flagship and it is going to be the last flagship coming from the brand this year. Furthermore, in the comments of the same tweet, Jambor replied, shattering our hopes, that there will be no OnePlus 10 Ultra.

Final name of the next and only flagship phone coming this year: OnePlus 10T 5G

— Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) June 1, 2022

Jambor confirmed that the OnePlus 10T is in fact the rumored Vanilla OnePlus 10 and Ultra. Multiple sources have already stated that the OnePlus 10 lineup includes an “Ultra” model so it is possible that the OnePlus 10T 5G could be a rebranded version of the smartphone shown in earlier leaks.

If the OnePlus 10T 5G is indeed the long-rumored OnePlus 10 Ultra, then we can expect it to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip and 150W wired fast charging support. It could also sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ panel, 50MP primary camera on the back, and a 4,800mAh battery. Not to mention Hasselblad Cameras.

You can also expect the smartphone to feature LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage. It will most likely be made of metal and glass. These are all speculations and we do not have any official information regarding the smartphone. We’ll let you know as soon as we have more details.

Let us know in the comments what you think about this new Smartphone!

The company recently unveiled the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite and OnePlus 10R. Now a fresh leak by a reliable tipster reveals that the OnePlus 10 ultra is getting into the testing phase. The smartphone is speculated to focus on the camera and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC.

Tipster Yogesh Brar through a tweet revealed that the OnePlus 10 Ultra is getting into the testing phase. This means a launch could be expected in the coming months. According to the tipster, OnePlus intends to improve the camera experience of the OnePlus 10 Pro with its upcoming Ultra model.

OnePlus 10 Pro was not much appreciated by the users. The phone came with a downgraded camera system, so the company definitely has some big shoes to fill in.

Brar confirmed that the Ultra flagship will feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset, built on TSMC’s 4nm process. He further revealed that the Ultra model may feature a periscope camera, rivaling directly with the Galaxy S22 Ultras of the world. According to Brar, the OnePlus 10 ultra will be launched in August or September.

The tipster also revealed that the Vanilla OnePlus 10 may arrive with Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, depending on the market. The phone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ panel, 50MP primary camera on the back, and a 4,800mAh battery with 150W wired fast charging.

OnePlus 10 Ultra specification (rumored)

The 6.7-inch phone is expected to feature an AMOLED display providing a resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels. The device is said to be fueled with a non-removable Li-Po 5000mAh battery. It is expected to carry 80W fast charging, 50W fast wireless charging, and a reverse wireless charging support. It is expected to be equipped with the OxygenOS 12 operating system.

OnePlus 10 Ultra features a 48 MP (wide) + 8 MP (telephoto) + 50 MP (ultrawide) rear camera setup on the back and a 32 MP (wide) sensor on the front.

First spotted by MySmartPrice, the listing reveals that the device has the model number PGKM10 and is a 5G mobile phone device. The information is somewhat confusing as up until now, the PGKM10 model number has been related to the upcoming OnePlus tablet, dubbed the OnePlus Pad. However, it is hard to imagine OnePlus debuting a tablet with that high fast charging capacity while Oppo’s tablet, which debuted just a couple of weeks ago, comes with 33W fast charging.

There are a few candidates that can come with this 160W SuperVOOC fast charge. The device could be a OnePlus 10 series variant. A recent leak revealed that OnePlus is working on a device that has a Dimensity 8100 SoC, a 6.7-inch OLED display, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera. The other candidate for this charging rate could be the rumored OnePlus 10 Ultra, which was first exposed through OnePlus design patents.

For now, the information available is too scarce, so we would prefer to wait for more details to surface before making any further assumptions.

The front of the device looks similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro with a rounded display and narrow narrow edges. The display has a punch-hole cutout present on the top left corner for the selfie camera. The volume rocker is located on the left spine while, the right side houses the power button along with the signature OnePlus alert slider.

The back panel houses a rectangular camera island which extends to the side of the device, similar to the one found on the OnePlus 10 Pro. However, the camera setup has some notable changes. It will presumably come with a 48MP wide-angle camera and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera for the top two lenses. The device is expected to come with the MariSilicon X NUP which was unveiled back in December by the OnePlus parent company, OPPO. The OnePlus 10 Ultra is expected to come with a phrase like “powered by MariSilicon” printed on the camera island, which was also observed in a recent OPPO Find X5 render leaks.

The rectangular shaped cutout is expected to hold a zoom camera which might be the same as the OnePlus 10 Pro with 3.3x zoom capabilities or a superior lens capable of greater zoom.

The device will most likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset or can even featured the improved Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ which is expected to launch later in 2022. The OS offered on the system will likely be the OxygenOS 12 skin which recently got its codebase merged to with OPPO’s ColorOS 12.

We may have just spotted a sketch of the 10 Ultra via a recent patent which the Chinese company secured in September 2021. The device bears a close semblance with the OnePlus 10 Pro but the camera layout is noticeably different.

OnePlus Technology did patent this Design in September 2021. This Phone looks a lot like the OnePlus 10 Pro, but the Camera Layout is different. pic.twitter.com/cS3qyhk6rX

— TechInsider (@TechInsiderBlog) January 28, 2022

The patent image which was spotted by tipster @TechInsider shows a rectangular camera that indicates a mirror-aided periscope camera. This will be a first in the OnePlus lineup if it pans out as the patent suggests. That is because the company had only used telephoto lenses on previous models but since its merger with OPPO, we expect such radical changes. It was recently rumored that the company was planning to merge the OxygenOS and HydrogenOS custom ROM to one known as H2OOS.

The OnePls 10 Ultra is also expected to come with a few other changes from the 10 Pro, one of which could be an in-house MariSilicon NPU that will further improve the imaging capabilities of the phone’s camera.

The 10 Ultra is tipped to arrive in the second half of the year which is still a long time away. Thus, we expect further details to emerge before then.

On January 27, popular Indian tech influencer Mukul Sharma tweeted that the unified operating system of OPPO and OnePlus could be called H₂OOS. Since his claim is based on a trademark filing by OnePlus, he could be wrong.

OnePlus 10 Pro

Anyway, the H₂OOS (Water OS) trademark is interesting as it combines the names of OxygenOS (O₂) and the discontinued HydrogenOS (H₂OS). The name has no mention of ColorOS, which the software will be actually based on.

Furthermore, a couple of days before this tweet, a tipster stated that the OnePlus 10 Ultra could debut in H2 2022 as the brand’s first superphone or ultra-premium smartphone. The device is said to house OPPO’s MariSilicon NPU.

There are obviously some shoes remaining to be filled here, and according to a new report, OnePlus is now working on a new flagship model. Our guess is that it could be called OnePlus 10 Ultra, which would be a first for a company whose top offering has always been a Pro model.

Tipster Yogesh Brar through a tweet today revealed that an “ultra flagship” from OnePlus is rumored to be in the EVT phase right now, meaning a launch could be expected in the coming months. EVT stands for Engineering Verification Testing and is a test performed on prototype products during their early alpha stages. It is followed by Design Verification Testing and then Product Verification Testing, after which the product is declared ready for release.

Technology sharing between OnePlus & Oppo is in Full swing, Find X5 series gets Hasselblad treatment and I'm hearing that MariSilicon will be seen on a OnePlus Flagship in the 2nd Half of this year.

There are rumours of an Ultra flagship from OnePlus in the EVT phase right now.

— Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) January 25, 2022

The tweet further talks about the growing OnePlus x OPPO integration, saying that technology sharing between the duo is currently in full swing. The OPPO Find X5 series has already gotten the Hasselblad treatment — something that has mostly remained a OnePlus exclusive thing to date. And in return, OPPO’s self-developed imaging MariSilicon NPU might be seen on a OnePlus flagship in the second half of 2022.

The cutting-edge, dedicated NPU allows much faster image processing on devices equipped with it, along with bringing about significant quality improvements in both photos and videos.

It is unclear at the moment if the rumored OnePlus 10 Ultra will be sporting the MariSilicon, although it isn’t unlikely. Regardless, we should be seeing more leaks and rumors about the alleged upcoming device if the tip indeed holds true, so stay tuned.
