OnePlus has begun rolling out new OxygenOS updates for the OnePlus 11R and the OnePlus 10T 5G. The updates are being released in batches, with the 11R getting version 15.0.0.850 in India and the 10T 5G getting version 15.0.0.1201 in North America.

OnePlus 11R – OxygenOS 15.0.0.850

The update improves animations when opening, resizing, and repositioning floating windows. Private Safe now allows users to share images and videos, customize album covers, sort and view files by time, and add files under the “Other files” category.

Recent task management has been upgraded. Users can now lock or unlock apps by swiping down on them in the recent tasks view. Split View is no longer limited to fixed ratios and can be freely adjusted. When two apps are displayed in landscape mode, the divider can be dragged to set their relative sizes.

Notifications in landscape mode have been refined. All notifications now appear as simplified banners. Swiping down on a banner opens the app in a floating window, while tapping a button in the banner also opens the app in a floating window instead of full screen. The banner position has also been adjusted to reduce distractions.

The update also adds BeaconLink, which lets users send text, image, and voice messages to nearby devices without internet access. This can be enabled from “Settings – Mobile network – BeaconLink.” The August 2025 Android security patch has been integrated as well.

This new update can be identified by build number IN: CPH2413_14.0.0.700(EX01) for India and EU/GLO: CPH2415_14.0.0.701(EX01) for EU/Global region.

The first feature onboard this update (OxygenOS 14.0.0.700/14.0.0.701) is the ability to take a “Partial screenshot” using the Smart Sidebar. Additionally, the Photos app now supports creating collages without frames, offering more flexibility in image editing.

Another appreciated quality-of-life change is the added ability to adjust the volume for individual apps. This means that if you want to play your music while playing a game or doing some other task, you can adjust both of the volume levels separately.

This update also introduces a new shortcut for turning on the flashlight. All you need to do is press and hold the volume down button when your screen is off. Users can now also unlock their devices with fingerprint unlocking without waking up the screen.

OnePlus just launched its brand new flagship: the OnePlus 11. After 24 hours from the beginning of the pre sales, it is already a success and it broke the presale record of the brand in just two hours. On January 9, it will officially go on sale and we expect a huge success. But there is another recent phone in the market with better street prices which may represent a better choice for several people: the predecessor OnePlus 10T. Is it better to go for the most recent flagship or you would better save some money for the older one? You will find it out after reading this comparison between the main specifications of the OnePlus 11 and the OnePlus 10T.

OnePlus 11 vs OnePlus 10T

Design

The OnePlus 11 comes with a brand new design sporting a totally different camera module from its predecessor. It has a round camera module instead of a square-shaped one, with a thinner body too, as well as a glass back. These two phones are not the best out there in terms of design, but they can not be considered bad. The OnePlus 10T, as already mentioned, comes with a square-shaped camera module, and it has a glass back just like its internal rival, protected by Gorilla Glass 5. However, the frame is made of plastic. I personally prefer the OnePlus 11 in terms of design.

The OnePlus 11 is equipped with a way better display if compared to the OnePlus 10T. Note that the new flagship won’t come in a Pro variant, so this is a lot more advanced than the 10T even in terms of display. It is equipped with an AMOLED panel similar to the one found on the 10 Pro. It has a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, HDR10+ certification, and an in-display fingerprint reader. With the OnePlus 10T, you get an inferior AMOLED display with one billion colors, a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+.

Specs & Software

The OnePlus 11 is equipped with a better processor: the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, currently the best SoC by Qualcomm. It is built with a 4 nm production process and it has an octa-core architecture with a max frequency of 3.2 GHz and an Adreno 740 GPU. Both phones feature up to 16 GB of RAM, but the OnePlus 11 has more storage: up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 native storage instead of just 256 GB with the UFS 3.1 technology. Last but not least, the 11 ships with Android 13, while the 10T is still based on Android 12, even though it is customized by OxygenOS 13.

Camera

There is no challenge here, the OnePlus 11 beats the 10T very easily if we talk about the cameras. It even comes with better cameras than the 10 Pro. On the rear side, it sports a triple camera setup including a 50 MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with OIS, a 32 MP telephoto lens for portraits with 2x optical zoom, and a 48 MP ultrawide shooter. With the OnePlus 10T you get a Sony IMX766 main camera with a resolution of 50 MP, an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2 MP macro lens. Both phones are equipped with a 16 MP selfie shooter.

Battery

Last but not leat, the OnePlus 11 packs a bigger battery, with a capacity of 5000 mAh. So it will last longer on a single charge. But the OnePlus 10T is able to charge quicker thanks to 150W fast charging, while the 11 stops at just 100W.

Price

The starting price tag of the OnePlus 11 in China roughly translates into $579/€550 at the actual change, while you need about €428/$450 to purchase the OnePlus 10T. The 11 is a much better phone thanks to a better display and better cameras, as well as a bigger battery: it wins the comparison.

OnePlus has scheduled a product announcement in China for December 17. Ahead of that, the brand is teasing a special edition of its existing phone.

The company has partnered with Disney for a Marvel-themed smartphone. The product is officially called OnePlus 10T Marvel Edition Box.

OnePlus India says that more information about this special edition OnePlus 10T will be revealed via Red Cable Club between December 17 and 19. However, Shop Disney India has already listed the product on its online store revealing everything about it.

As per the listing, the OnePlus 10T Marvel Edition Box will include the following items.

• OnePlus 10T Retail Box
• Captain America Pop-Socket
• Black Panther Stand
• Iron Man Case

The package will include the 16GB + 256GB variant of the OnePlus 10T in Moonstone Black color with a pre-applied screen protector. It will ship with the regular box contents, such as a 160W SuperVOOC charger, a USB Type-C cable, a protective case, and a SIM tray ejector.

The OnePlus 10T Marvel Edition Box is listed at ₹55,999 (~$680) on Shop Disney India. For the unaware, the regular retail variant costs the same.

Hence, we believe the Marvel-themed package will be either a limited run or will be only available for Red Cable Club members as part of some competition. This could be the reason why OnePlus will be making the announcement via its club rather than traditional channels.

Also, we don’t think it will be made available in other markets. Both OnePlus and its parent company Oppo are known to restrict special edition phones to a single market. For instance, the latter just released an India-exclusive Oppo Reno 8 Pro House of the Dragon Limited Edition Set.

Both phones come with stereo speakers too. So, if you are trying to evaluate these two devices, focus on the other specifications.

At first glance, the hardware departments of these phones look the same. They are both powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform by Qualcomm built with a 4 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X2 CPU, three Cortex A710 CPUs, four Cortex A510 CPUs, and an Adreno 730 GPU. In their most expensive configurations, there are 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 native storage. The difference is the clock frequency of the processor: the OPPO Reno9 Pro Plus has an underclocked CPU, with a max frequency of 3 GHz, while the OnePlus Ace Pro has the standard frequency of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, so 3.19 GHz. This means you should get slightly better performance with the OnePlus Ace Pro. On the other hand, the OPPO Reno9 Pro Plus ships with Android 13 out of the box instead of Android 12, and we think this detail is more important.

Camera

The camera setup of the OPPO Reno9 Pro Plus is superior. Even though the resolutions are the same, the main sensors are different. The OPPO Reno9 Pro+ is equipped with the new Sony IMX890 50 MP sensor with OIS, while the OnePlus Ace Pro still uses the Sony IMX766. Further, Reno is supported by the MariSilicon X proprietary NPU, while its rival is not.

OnePlus is currently testing the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 build for the OnePlus 10T. The device is still a few weeks away from getting the stable Android 13 build, as it has recently entered the open beta phase. For those users who are on the stable Android 12 operating system on their OnePlus 10T, the company has released a new update that comes with some bug fixes and optimization changes.

In India, the OnePlus 10T 5G OxygenOS 12 A.12 upgrade with the Android security patch for November 2022 is currently rolling out. The update comes with firmware version CPH2413_11_A.12.

The update includes the November security patch, which enhances the stability and security of the system while maintaining the user experience. Furthermore, this update resolves issues and provides a smooth performance by decreasing system issues such as crashing, freezing, lagging, and more. A significant fix included in this update is the resolution to the problem that fails to set a fingerprint in some scenarios. The multi-finger touch experience is also improved in this update. OnePlus recently shared its Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 beta rollout roadmap. The most recent devices that have got an open beta build are the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, 8T, and 9RT. Now, the brand has begun rolling out the OxygenOS 13 open beta update for the OnePlus 10T, which indicates that it will soon be getting the stable Android 13 update.

The update includes the new aquamorphic design, new personalization features, and privacy and security-related changes. Users of the OnePlus 10T in India who have firmware versions A.08 or A.10 installed on their devices may flash OxygenOS 13 Open Beta on them. The update will need to be manually downloaded and moved to the phone’s internal storage (download link). Before installing the update on their device, the company urges customers to make sure that their battery is at least 30% charged and that they have at least 5.5GB of free storage.

Readers should be aware that the installation process involves manual flashing, therefore developer mode must be activated before to beginning. To activate the developer mode, navigate to Settings > About device > Version > Developer mode. Make seven clicks on the Build number, then type the password.

Following the download of the OxygenOS 13 Open Beta firmware and the activation of developer options, OnePlus 10T users can navigate to Settings > About device > Up to date > Click the top right button > Local install > Select the rollback package > Extract > Upgrade to install OxygenOS 13 Open Beta on their device.

Beta builds can be unstable and have some bugs in them, therefore we advise our users to not try them out on their daily driver smartphone. It is also advisable to make a backup of your data as rolling back from the OxygenOS 13 beta build to OxygenOS 12 could wipe your data.

Its amazing value for money is the reason why we are actually comparing it to a lot of flagship killers out there, especially the ones equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, for obvious reasons. Today, it is the turn of another very interesting flagship killer: the OnePlus 10T. Note that this device is a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace Pro and it has exactly the same specifications. The iQOO Neo7 has an AMOLED panel able to show up to one billion colors with a diagonal of 6.78 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ certification, as well as an in-display fingerprint reader. The OnePlus 10T has an AMOLED display with one billion colors, a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and an in-display fingerprint reader. The very important difference is in the audio, as the OnePlus is the only one packing stereo speakers, so its audio is definitely more powerful.

The OnePlus 10T has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform built with a 4 nm production process and with an octa-core architecture including a Cortex X2 CPU with a max frequency of 3.19 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.75 GHz, four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 730 GPU. While the two processors have similar performance, the OnePlus 10T has higher multi-tasking capabilities thanks to the presence of 16 GB of RAM, but it only reaches 256 GB of native storage. However, the RAM is the component accounting for better performance. On the other hand, the iQOO Neo7 runs Android 13 out of the box, while the OnePlus 10T has Android 12.

Camera

If we consider the cameras, it is essentially a draw because these handsets have exactly the same camera department.

The OnePlus 10T was unveiled a couple of months ago, and since its launch, the handset has been receiving back-to-back updates. In the span of two months, the company has released three software updates for the smartphone. And today, the OnePlus handset has received its fourth OTA update, which is claimed to bring a number of improvements to the camera, performance improvements, and bug fixes. Here are the details.

As announced by the company on its forums, the latest update for the OnePlus 10T comes with version number A.08. It is currently being rolled out in India. However, the update is being released in a phased manner, so only a small number of users will receive it today. OnePlus says the broader rollout will begin soon.

As mentioned, the update brings a number of improvements. It is claimed to optimize the display effect of Dark Mode in low brightness scenarios and also enhance the touch experience. Occasional issues of notification delay and the appearance of dark stripes when taking photos have also been addressed. In addition, the update improves the Wi-Fi stability and improves the network experience.

OnePlus has announced a new gift box in collaboration with Razer.  This China-exclusive gift box is for the brand’s latest smartphone — OnePlus Ace Pro (aka OnePlus 10T). Priced at ¥4,299 ($620), the box is up for reservations. It will go on sale at 10 AM on September 9.

The new OnePlus gift box is officially called ‘OnePlus Ace Pro x Razer Ace Player Gift Box.’ It contains the following items.

• OnePlus 18W Freezing Point Cooling Back Clip

OnePlus 10T recently received its first-ever software update that improved its overall performance and fixed some pesky bugs. Today, the smartphone has received a new OTA update that brings a number of improvements to the camera, UI, performance improvements, and bug fixes. Let’s have a look at all the details.

As announced by the company on its forums, the latest update for the OnePlus 10T comes with version number A.06. The update is released for both Indian and the Global market. However, it is being rolled out in a phased manner, so only a small number of users will receive it today. OnePlus says the broader rollout will begin in a few days.

As mentioned, the update brings several improvements. It enhances the shooting effect of the portrait mode and optimizes the ultra-wide lens. AI retouch issues in the front camera have also been addressed. In addition, the fingerprint unlocking algorithm has been improved. Some additional enhancements to system stability are included are also included.

OnePlus 10T & Redmi K50 Ultra

3 months ago, we did a full comparison of the Realme GT Neo 3 and the Redmi K50, and they were probably the best Android phones with great value for money to buy in the first half of the year. Today, we’ll find out the best phones to buy under $500 in 2022 with a matchup, and now let’s give a passionate welcome to today’s two cowboys: the Redmi K50 Ultra and the Oneplus ACE Pro, the latter of which is available outside China as the OnePlus 10T.

Design

The design of both phones obviously comes from their flagship products, and if you have already had a Xiaomi 12 or OnePlus 10, you will definitely feel familiar. So both of them didn’t really work on their appearance design.

But if have to say something, I slightly prefer the design of the OnePlus model, which has a new texture on the back cover, providing a unique touch and greatly preventing fingerprints.

In terms of available color variants, Oneplus offers two different styles to choose from, I think most Oneplus fans will still go for the black version because it has a really cool surface texture, while Redmi offers richer options. The AMG co-branded model really looks different, but the other variants are pretty boring actually since we’ve seen enough Xiaomi 12 and 12s. As claimed, they’ll release a White variant later this year, but I think it won’t change anything.

They are very similar in size and weight, but when you hold them in your hands, you’ll immediately notice that the ACE Pro feels better in your hands and your fingers won’t snag while playing games because there is a smoother curved transition between the camera module and the back cover.

Another detail I want to point out is that OnePlus has placed the volume buttons and the power button on each side of the phone, so it is easier to achieve some operations by using a combination of buttons with one hand, such as taking a screenshot with them.

Display

The screen upgrade is a major selling point of the K50 Ultra. And they called it in a super strange way, the new 1.5K-resolution display.

This sounds really confusing and doesn’t really make sense, but actually all you need to know is that it’s a resolution a little lower than QHD but a little higher than FHD, which is not exactly an innovation for smartphone displays. Actually, we’ve seen that the Huawei P50 Pro also uses a similar resolution, but never heard of the word ‘1.5K’.

so why can’t Xiaomi just call it FHD+ Display? Make it look like the Apple Style for advertisement? Anyway, compared to the ACE Pro, the K50 Ultra looks slightly sharper when displaying small text, and it also has a higher screen brightness. so leave the strange 1.5K alone, and the K50 Ultra indeed offers a better display here no matter for indoor or outdoor uses.

But what I must say is that the higher resolution and brightness are not the most important thing, what really deserves your attention is that the K50 Ultra supports high-frequency PWM dimming, which means it can effectively avoid damaging flicker issues at low screen brightness.

The fact is that you can’t see these flickers with the naked eye, but they are real and some of you might easily feel them. so at least in terms of the screen, I can say that the K50 Ultra completely beats the ACE Pro.

Performance & Gaming

The power and efficiency of Snapdragon 8+ are undeniable, but since we’ve tested more and more phones with the Snapdragon 8+ platform, we’ve discovered that even though Qualcomm has returned to the arms of TSMC, if you want to build a phone that can play any mobile game without worry, you still have to put some effort into the thermal design.

From these gaming tests, we can see that the framerates are very close, and it is clear that current mobile games are no longer a threat to the Snapdragon 8+. The real difference lies in the phone’s temperature. perhaps due to the larger VC Vapor Chamber inside, the ACE Pro’s surface temperature during gaming is significantly lower than that of the K50 Ultra.

Now let’s go back and look at the benchmark, I was expecting they would perform closely on benchmarks. And yes they are, as you can see they both achieved very close results to each other, and other Snapdragon 8+ phones as well.

Stability

But when I ran the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme test on the K50 Ultra, the test was terminated due to overheating and the phone closed all background applications. Not just once, but three times I tried, and the K50 Ultra just couldn’t complete the test, either in balanced or performance mode with the latest software version.

This means that if there are future mobile games that require higher performance, this K50 Ultra may be easier to knock out by heated issues. Also in this hottest summer, the ACE Pro can provide a more stable experience. I don’t know if Xiaomi will be able to fix this in a future software update, but at least for today, I would vote for the ACE Pro.

Cameras

Now let’s talk about the camera, for these two budget phones we only need to focus on their main camera, trust me you really won’t use the other two lenses on both of them, especially their 2 MP macro lenses. but luckily at least their main lenses are still good.

The 108MP CMOS on the K50 Ultra looks stronger than the 50MP CMOS on the ACE Pro, but in reality, you can hardly tell which is better in terms of detail from the samples we shot here.

What’s even more embarrassing is that when you turn on full pixel mode in the K50 Ultra, you’ll find that the photos are still not as sharp as the ACE Pro, even though it has only half the pixels of the K50 Ultra. Considering that one of the longest things Apple has stuck with over the years is using Sony’s sensors, it’s probably not hard to understand such a result here.

When it comes at night, the ACE Pro takes even more impressive photos and we can see better dynamic range and colors. No one knows exactly how many IMX766 the OPPO Group purchased from Sony, but as the saying goes, what goes around comes around, and in terms of photographing, they really beat competitors at the budget level with this sensor.

Battery & Charging

The ACE Pro supports greater charging power than the K50 Ultra, and as a compromise, it has a smaller battery, but from using it these days, I found that both the performance of their battery life and charging speed are very close, with the ACE Pro being faster in the first ten minutes of charging. Considering that they don’t support wireless charging either, you really don’t need to get too tangled up in the power solution.

Conclusion

In my opinion, the ACE Pro finally wins the trophy. And at the $500 pricing, OnePlus made the better choice, with the better design, better main camera, insane cooling solution, and most importantly, up to 16GB of RAM storage for options, which makes the ACE Pro really a new flagship killer.

It can stay with you for a long time. As for the K50 Ultra, until the end of this video, I still can’t figure out why Xiaomi didn’t bring them on the 12S, no matter the 2K screen on the K50 or the 1.5K screen on this Ultra version. For the Redmi K series, they really should have spent the money on the camera and cooling solution as it should have been a flagship killer.

OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 10T in the global market, and as per usual, the device was put through popular Youtuber JerryRigEverything‘s durability test. As we already know, the device failed the bend test and snapped in half, just like the OnePlus 10 Pro.

We could imagine this has been quite a PR nightmare for OnePlus as the test has questioned the device’s structural durability. Now, the brand has finally put out a statement addressing the issue.

OnePlus said, “The OnePlus 10T meets or exceeds all of OnePlus’ extensive durability testing procedures, this includes a pressure test where the device is suspended while weight is applied to its center on both its front and back. The OnePlus 10T has an enhanced structure engineering design and can bear over 45kg of external force in this test at OnePlus’ lab.”

“When designing, engineering, and manufacturing OnePlus devices, we ensure they not only offer a design that is beautiful and burdenless but is also durable so they can withstand everyday usage,” the Chinese brand added.

Going by these statements, it appears that OnePlus is still not ready to admit any flaw in the new camera design which has been at the epicenter of these breaks. It is worth pointing out that JerryRigEverything’s bend test is meant to demonstrate extreme conditions and the daily user will likely not be bending their smartphones with such force.

However, it is quite clear that OnePlus is behind its competitors when it comes to structural durability. Hopefully, the brand fixes these issues with its next flagship series of smartphones. Till then, we advise OnePlus 10T and 10 Pro users to use their devices with a back cover on.

Earlier this year, the OnePlus 10 Pro went through a disastrous durability test where it snapped in two during the bend test. So naturally, one would assume that the company’s second flagship model of this year, the OnePlus 10T, would arrive with improvements in design. Well, you might be disappointed.

The popular tech YouTuber JerryRigEverything shared a new video in which he put the OnePlus 10T model to the durability test. In the video, he put the smartphone through the usual durability tests like scratches, flames, bend, and even a bend test. Unfortunately for the Chinese smartphone maker, its first flagship of this year failed the bend test and had snapped in two.

The YouTuber pointed out that the cause for this is likely structural point of failure beneath the camera module. So, one would naturally assume that the company made changes to this design to improve its structural integrity. However, this scene was almost perfectly mirrored with the OnePlus 10T model as well. The smartphone’s display did survive the level 6 of the Moh’s hardness scale on the front and back, and the flame tests did not leave any permanent mark on the OLED display either.

However, the disappointment surfaced during the bend test. Here, the 10T model snapped in the exact same way as the previous 10 Pro. The frame cracked right under the camera module under pressure. The video showed that Zach was able to completely tear down the smartphone apart from his bare hands. He managed to separate the display from the chasis and even remove the cameras from the device as well. In other words, an impromptu tear down video during a durability test.

On the other hand, it was announced that the 16GB + 256GB model will be available at a later date. Now, the Chinese smartphone maker has announced the launch date for this top end model. Earlier today (11th August 2022), the company confirmed that this model will go on sale in India on August 16.

Apart from the high memory, the other internal specifications of the 16GB model is identical to the other two variants. The OnePlus 10T is the company’s flagship for the second half of the year. Despite being a non-Pro model, the phone is likely to be the company’s top-end phone for the next few months. Notably, the OnePlus 10 Pro, which was announced earlier this year, will also be sold in the market, placed at a much more premium price segment. So the 10T will exist in between the OnePlus 10R and the OnePlus 10 Pro. 

Given that OnePlus has a flagship in a new price segment, let’s take a look at how the OnePlus 10T compares to the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer edition, which was launched a few weeks ago. 

Please note that since the Realme flagship has a pretty long name, throughout this comparison, we’ll just call it the Realme GT 2 Master. 

OnePlus 10T vs Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition

Design

The OnePlus 10T is a flagship by all means and OnePlus has made sure to make this point by reusing a similar design as its Pro model. The device comes with a slab design with rounded corners and a large camera housing on the top left section of the back. In fact, the only major difference between the OnePlus Pro and the OnePlus 10T at the back is the placement of the LED ring flash. On the Pro model, the flash is near the bottom right camera sensor while on the 10T, it is located on the top right corner. There are two colors available – Moonstone Black, and Jade Green. 

Unlike the rounded design profile of the OnePlus 10T, the Realme GT 2 Master utilizes a flatter approach. It comes with a flat-screen up front as well as a flat back. Like most flagships of 2022, the GT 2 Master also comes with a pretty large camera setup at the back. Notably, one of the GT 2 ME models features a plain leather material with a metal casing, making the design pretty unique. There are three colors available for the Realme flagship – Gray, White, and Gold. 

In the design department, the Realme GT 2 Master should have an advantage, especially if you opt for the Leather Gold variant. Master editions have always been popular for their standout design, and the leather variant allows you to have a unique design in this monotonous-looking smartphone market. 

Display

The two phones have similar OLED displays with similar sizes and resolutions. They come with a 6.7-inch panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. However, there’s one big difference in their panels. The Realme GT 2 Master edition model comes with a flat display with super thin bezels while the OnePlus 10T features a curved display. 

Your choice between these two smartphones would boil down to your preference for a flat or a curved display. 

Specs & Software

Another similarity between these two models is the chipset that powers them. Both the OnePlus 10T and the Realme GT 2 Master edition models come with one of the fastest chipsets in the market today, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. In fact, the OnePlus 10T takes things up a notch by offering a 16GB RAM model, unlike the Realme flagship which tops out at 12GB of RAM. 

Clearly, gaming and performance-intensive tasks will not be an issue on both the models, so they are pretty much tied in this department. But note that the Realme flagship also features two pressure-sensitive buttons on the side, giving it an edge in the gaming department.

The OnePlus 10T runs on the Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.1. On the other hand, the Realme GT 2 Master edition comes with the Android 12-based RealmeUI 3.0. 

Camera

The OnePlus 10T comes with a 50MP primary shooter with OIS, another 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and finally, a 2MP macro camera. The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer model comes with a 50MP primary camera, another 50MP Ultra wide-angle camera, and a 40x 3MP macro camera. In our review, we found the GT 2 to have a pretty impressive camera setup and we expect similar performance from the OnePlus 10T as well. However, the Realme model will have an edge in the ultra-wide angle shots, given its powerful 50MP shooter as compared to OnePlus 10T’s 8MP shooter. Finally, the 3MP macro camera on the Realme model is also capable of capturing pretty good closeup shots, even better than the OnePlus 10T. 

Both the phones have similar 16MP selfie cameras on the front. 

Battery

The OnePlus 10T features a 4800mAh battery capacity with a super-fast 150W charging support. On the other hand, the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition has a 5000mAh battery with up to 100W fast charging. 

So it’s clear that these two phones have very fast charging speeds and will offer pretty good battery life too. Unless you want the best charging speed in this segment, both phones should be good enough in this department. Unfortunately, they don’t support wireless charging, which is a bit of a disappointment considering their pricing. 

Price

The OnePlus 10T starts at ₹44,999/$649/£629/€699. On the other hand, the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition retails for around the same price at $649/$543. 

You can’t really go wrong with either device. Personally, we feel the design and display would be the biggest differentiating factor between these two phones, and your purchase decision would lean towards your preference for a flat or a curved display. Go for the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer edition if you want a leatherback device with a more elegant design profile, powerful performance, and great cameras. Or else, opt for the OnePlus 10T, if you want a familiar OnePlus design profile with maxed-out charging and performance speeds (with up to 16GB of RAM).

So OnePlus 10T hitten the shelves all around the world. Unlike the 10 series composed of at least two models in the global market, this device is alone and it comes with the typical specifications of flagship killers. So you get the max performance but a few compromises when it comes to the display and the cameras, in order to obtain a competitive price. Before this deivce, OnePlus released a top-tier premium flagship: the OnePlus 10 Pro. Given that it is older, the new 10T has a few advantages over the predecessor, but the Pro variant remains a top-tier flagship. So which one to buy and which offers the highest value for money? We will try to answer this question appropriately by giving you this comparison between the main specifications of the OnePlus 10T and the OnePlus 10 Pro.

OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10 Pro

Design

At first glance, the OnePlus 10T and the OnePlus 10 Pro have the same look. But there are a few important differences you should consider. First of all, there is no doubt about the fact that the OnePlus 10 Pro is the winner of the design comparison. It offers two main advantages: the presence of a curved screen at the sides, and the presence of an aluminum frame, as well as a rear glass protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The OnePlus 10T comes with a glass back as well, but it is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and the frame is made of plastic. Further, the phone is thicker, even though it has a smaller battery. So the Pro variant is definitely better in terms of aesthetics. Note that the U.S. version of the OnePlus 10 Pro comes with the IP68 certification making it dustproof and waterproof, while the 10T and the other global variants of the 10 Pro do not offer a certification against water and dust.

Display

One of the most important advantages of the OnePlus 10 Pro over the OnePlus 10T is the display. First of all, it comes with a higher Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels. Further, it has the LTPO 2.0 enabling an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. The 10T has a lower Full HD+ resolution and it lacks the LTPO technology. For the rest, the two AMOLED panels are not so different. They are able to show up to one billion colors and they support the HDR10+ certification, as well as an in-display fingerprint reader. These phones also come with good stereo speakers for an improved audio experience. Note that the display of the Pro variant is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus just like the glass back, while the 10T has the weaker Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Specs & Software

When it comes to the hardware, the OnePlus 10T is the winner of this comparison. Indeed, it has a more powerful chipset: the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 found on the 10T is actually an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 found on the OnePlus 10 Pro. It is a chipset built with a 4 nm production process sporting an octa-core architecture. It is composed of a Cortex X2 CPU running at a max frequency of 3.19 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.85 GHz, and four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, as well as an Adreno 730 GPU. The chipset is paired with up to 16 GB of RAM, while the max amount of RAM found on the Pro version is 12 GB. The software is the same and there is not any change: Android 12 customized by OxygenOS 12.1.

Camera

The camera setup of the OnePlus 10 Pro is actually more advanced than the one found on the 10T. It is composed of a 48 MP main camera with OIS and laser autofocus, an 8 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50 MP ultrawide camera with a FOV of 150 degrees, all with the Hasselblad Camera for Mobile features such as realistic color calibration and XPan mode. The cameras of the OnePlus 10T are not co-engineered with Hasselblad and, while the main sensor is a more interesting 50 MP Sony IMX766 camera, the secondary sensor are way inferior with their 8 + 2 MP resoultion. The OnePlus 10T loses even when it comes to the selfie camera, with a 16 MP snapper instead of a 32 MP one.

Battery

The OnePlus 10 Pro provides a longer battery life thanks to its bigger 5000 mAh battery, but the 10T charges faster thanks to 150W fast charging. However, the 10T lacks the 50W wireless charging technology found on the Pro variant.

Price

The OnePlus 10T is priced at €720/$720 in its base variant (prices vary depending on the market, while the OnePlus 10 Pro can currently be found at about €800/$800 thanks to online street prices. Now you know the differences: which one would you pick?

OnePlus 10T is all set to go on sale in India today. The new OnePlus smartphone was launched in the country earlier this week. It comes packed with a powerful chipset, immersive display, and a decent camera setup. The smartphone is probably the best choice under Rs. 50,000 but it’s also the most “generic” OnePlus flagship ever. It neither has the company’s iconic alert slider, nor the Hasselblad tuned cameras or wireless charging. Let’s take a look at its specifications, pricing, and other details.

OnePlus 10T Specifications

OnePlus 10T flaunts a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and 10-bit color depth. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and also houses an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone draws power from Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 Soc paired with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

For photography, the OnePlus 10T features the tried and tested 50-megapixel Sony IMX769 primary camera sensor which is also found on the Nothing Phone (1), Asus Zenfone 9, and a slew of other phones. The main sensor is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, the device gets a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. The handset is backed by a decent 4,800mAh battery that supports 150W fast charging because why not?

On the software front, the OnePlus 10T runs Android 12-based OxygenOS 12. The OS is basically ColorOS 12 with a few (unnecessary) tweaks.

OnePlus 10T Price in India, Availability

OnePlus 10T price in India is set at Rs. Rs 49,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The phone also comes in a 12GB + 256GB model at Rs. Rs 54,999 and the 16GB + 256GB option at Rs 55,999. It comes in Jade Green and Moonstone Black finishes.

Both of these devices are amazing phones for gamers and for all of those people who seek awesome performance with a pretty low budget if compared to the most expensive phones in the market. That is exactly the reason why we decided to publish this comparison between the specifications of the OnePlus 10T and the iQOO 9T. This will surely be a very interesting comparison for gamers and power users out there.

OnePlus 10T vs Vivo iQOO 9T

Design

The design of the iQOO 9T is more original than the one of the OnePlus 10T, even though it is a bigger phone in terms of overall dimensions. Its rear side is made of two different textures and it is also bi-color. Further, it is made with premium materials: aluminum for the frame and glass for the rear side, with a front glass protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Last but not least, it has the IP52 certification protecting the body against dust and water. The OnePlus 10T comes with a glass back, a front glass protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and a plastic frame. It does not have any certification against dust and water, but it is a more compact phone thanks to the presence of a smaller display. Its design is reminiscent of the one of the OnePlus 10 Pro, with a big camera module and a 2×2 matrix of sensors.

Display

The display of the iQOO 9T is slightly wider with a diagonal of 6.78 inches, but these two panels have the same specifications. They come with the AMOLED technology guaranteeing brilliant colors and deep blacks, as well as a Full HD+ resolution of 1080p. They have a 120 Hz max refresh rate and the HDR10+ certification, as well as a very high peak brightness and an in-display fingerprint reader. The iQOO 9T adds an important technology for gaming: the Monster Touch, allowing the touch screen to be pressure sensitive. Both the handsets come with a very advanced cooling system and Android 12 out of the box, as well as highly customized user interfaces on top.

Camera

If you are searching for the most advanced camera phone, you should opt for the iQOO 9T without thinking twice. It is equipped with a triple camera setup including a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main sensor supporting OIS, a 12 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 13 MP ultrawide camera with a FOV of 120 degrees. The OnePlus 10T has exactly the same main camera (and even the same 16 MP selfie shooter), but the secondary sensors are inferior: an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a useless 2 MP macro lens.

The OnePlus 10T has a slightly bigger battery with a capacity of 4800 mAh and it should last a bit more on a single charge, due to similar hardware components. It also features a faster charging technology, with a power of 150W. The iQOO 9T has a smaller 4700 mAh battery with 120W fast charging.

Price

The iQOO 9T carries a $630 or Rs. 49,999 starting price in the Indian market, and you need at least $630 or Rs. 49,999 even to purchase the OnePlus 10T in India (for the base configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage). The iQOO 9T looks a bit more interesting because of its premium design, Monster Touch, and better cameras, but the OnePlus 10T has more RAM, a bigger battery, and faster charging.

OnePlus has finally released its flagship for the second half of the year, and it’s none other than the OnePlus 10T. The phone comes with better performance and faster charging than the OnePlus 10 Pro, but an inferior set of cameras, without the Hasselblad branding.

However, today, we’ll compare this newly announced smartphone with another device in the OnePlus lineup, the OnePlus 10R. This upper mid-range device is placed below the OnePlus 10T but shares a number of features with the new model. So, let’s take a closer look at how the 10R compares in front of the OnePlus 10T. 

OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10R

Design

The OnePlus 10T adopts the same design philosophy as its more expensive sibling, the OnePlus 10 Pro. The phone features a slab design with rounded corners and a camera housing that curves into the left side. In fact, you would have had a hard time distinguishing the two models if not for the placement of the LED flash in the camera housing. The OnePlus Pro features the LED ring flash near the bottom right corner of the housing while the OnePlus 10T shifts it to the top right corner. 

As for the OnePlus 10R, the phone features a different design philosophy than its more expensive siblings, coming with a flatter and half-textured back. The design is different from what you see on OnePlus devices, so it stands out. The 10R is also slimmer and lighter than the 10T at 8.2mm (vs 8.8mm) and 182 grams (206g). 

Notably, both the OnePlus 10T and the 10R skip the iconic alert slider usually found on OnePlus smartphones. They also do not feature any IP certification. 

In the design department, it all boils down to individual preferences. The 10T’s design feels more premium with its curvier profile, but some people may prefer the 10R’s flatter and unique design.

Display

Surprisingly, both the phones have the exact same displays. 

The 10T and 10R models come with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with HDR10+ certification. The displays are protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 and have a 120Hz refresh rate. 

Since the two phones have the same displays, there’s no point in picking a winner in this department. Your buying decision will be influenced by the other departments in the comparison, especially the next one – performance. 

Specs & Software

While smartphone processors, especially in the mid-range segment have evolved significantly over the past few years, smartphones with the fastest performance are still valued in the market. And that’s why the OnePlus 10T has a significant edge in this comparison. It’s one of the fastest smartphones in the market today, all thanks to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor inside with up to 16GB of RAM. Notably, even the OnePlus 10 Pro, which is costlier than the 10T comes with an older processor. 

On the other hand, the OnePlus 10R features the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max. The processor is pretty good in the mid-range segment, but will definitely lag behind the 10T in terms of performance and speed. 

For gaming and resource-intensive tasks, there is no doubt that the OnePlus 10T would outperform the 10R. 

Being two phones from the OnePlus stable, both the models run on Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.1 and will have a similar software experience. 

Camera

Like the display department, the camera setup is also exactly the same in both models. 

The two phones feature a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, and finally, a 2MP macro camera. Even the selfie cameras are exactly the same – a 16MP punch hole shooter. 

Despite having the exact same camera setups, the OnePlus 10T is likely to have an advantage. With the fastest and the latest Qualcomm processor inside, the image processing is also expected to get an upgrade, meaning the 10T could output slightly better images than the 10R. 

However, we’ll have to wait and see a real-life camera comparison between the two models to make the final call. 

Battery

Both have similar battery capacities. The OnePlus 10T comes with a slightly larger 4800mAh battery on board with an ultra-fast 150W charging support. On the other hand, the OnePlus 10R (top-end model) features a 4500mAh battery with the same ultra-fast 150W charging technology. 

These are the two of the fastest charging smartphones in the world right now, and you won’t go wrong getting either of them.

Price

The OnePlus 10T starts at ₹44,999/$649/£629/€699. On the other hand, the OnePlus 10R is available for a slightly cheaper price tag in India at ₹39,999. 

The final purchase decision will boil down to two main areas – performance and budget. If you want a smartphone with the best performance on the market, the OnePlus 10T, even at its slightly higher price tag, will be a no-brainer for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for a phone that’s cheaper, performs like a mid-ranger, and charges extremely fast, it makes sense to get the 150W version of the OnePlus 10R.

OnePlus 10T just made its debut in the global market alongside the OxygenOS 13, while the launch of the rebranded version OnePlus Ace Pro was postponed after the tensions between China and Taiwan following Nancy Pelosi’s visit to the island. The OnePlus 10T offers the best hardware you can expect in 2022 and amazing performance, but its price is all but excessive, even in the European markets. But there is another handset that will debut soon in these markets after being launched in India: the global version of the OPPO Reno8 Pro. This is a comparison between the main specifications of the OnePlus 10T and the OPPO Reno8 Pro Global. Note that the Global version of the Reno is different from the Chinese one: consider it as a rebrand of the device known in China as the Reno8 Pro Plus.

OnePlus 10T vs OPPO Reno8 Pro Global

Design

The most refined design belongs to the OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G, at least in my opinion. First of all, it has narrower bezels around the display, with the screen covering more than 90 percent of the front panel. It is made with premium materials: the rear side is made of glass, while the frame is aluminum, while the OnePlus 10T has a glass back and a plastic frame. The front glass of the Reno is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, one of the most advanced protection by Corning, and the same is for the rear glass and the front glass of the 10T. The Reno has a thinner and lighter design: it weighs just 183 grams and is 7.3 mm thick, while the OnePlus weighs more than 200 grams and is 8.8 mm thick. In my opinion, there is no challenge here: OPPO made a better device in terms of design.

Display

The displays of the OnePlus 10T and the OPPO Reno8 Pro Global should be exactly the same panel because the specifications are the same. They come with an AMOLED display sporting a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and the HDR10+ certification. These displays are able to show up to one billion colors with great accuracy and they include an in-display fingerprint reader. We are not talking about the most advanced panels in the market, but they are definitely among the most advanced ones. Both the handsets come with stereo speakers, but they have no audio jack. As already mentioned above, the displays are protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and they have very narrow bezels, but the bezels are narrower on the Reno. The displays come with punch holes placed in the central part.

Specs & Software

The best and most powerful hardware department belongs to the OnePlus 10T. It is fueled by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform: currently the best processor by Qualcomm. It is an SoC built at 4 nm with an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X2 CPU running at a max frequency of 3.19 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.75 GHz, four Cortex A710 CPUs running at a frequency of 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 730 GPU. The chipset is paired with a very advanced cooling system, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 native storage. There are also configurations with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of native storage. The OPPO Reno8 Pro is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max mobile platform built at 5 nm and running at a max frequency of 2.85 GHz: it is comparable to the Snapdragon 888 by Qualcomm and it is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Both the phones run Android 12 out of the box and they have similar user interfaces: ColorOS 12.1 and OxygenOS 12.

The OnePlus 10T launch event is edging closer, with the event being just over an hour away. It is the second flagship smartphone model from the company in 2022, but, it will be skipping an iconic part of the brand’s phone design.

For those unaware, the new smartphone will not feature the Alert Slider that many of the company’s loyal customers have come to love. This offered users a way to directly put their phones on silent or vibrate when needs be through a physical slider rather than through the UI. However, this will be the Chinese smartphone maker’s first flagship handset that skips this iconic OnePlus phone design feature.

Previously, we had reported on a tweet from a known tipster that claimed that the brand will only launch a few smartphones with the Alert Slider in the future. The tipster further added that the design feature will only be offered on flagship level Pro models. But you might be wondering, the OnePlus 10T is a flagship grade handset. So why does it not feature the Alert Slider? Well, the answer is simple. The brand decided that it had to sacrifice this feature in exchange for more room on the inside of the chassis.

Basically, the Alert Slider was removed to make way for several new upgrades, which includes a high wattage charging, a large battery capacity, and even a better antenna signal. All three of these were the major reasons for the Alert Slider missing from the upcoming premium grade smartphone.

An unboxing video of the OnePlus 10T has surfaced ahead of its August 3 launch. The video featured a reviewer’s kit having accessories for testing the device while the retail package is a red box. The unboxing video reveals a Moonstone Black variant of the smartphone in addition to a 160W adapter and USB-C cables.

The OnePlus 10T is also available in Jade Green color and has been confirmed to support 150W charging. This monster charging support is for regions with 220V electricity supply while this is reduced for countries with 110V mains electricity. The phone has a 4,800mAh battery but with a faster-charging speed than the OnePlus 10 Pro. The unboxing video also included a size comparison with the iPhone 13 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra, and the Nothing Phone (1). The video also showed that the 10T will not support wireless charging, unlike the 10 Pro.

The OnePlus 10T will run on Android 13 out of the box and has up to 16GB of RAM. The phone’s maximum internal storage option is 256GB. The camera setup of the 10T includes a 50MP primary camera and 8MP and 2MP sensors. The unboxing video also showed a couple of cases that are available for the OnePlus 10T, one of which had a distinctive design. The unboxing video has ramped up expectations ahead of the official unveiling of the OnePlus flagship offering. The launch event will take place on August 3.
