<p>With the launch of the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R, OnePlus offers two compelling options catering to different audiences. While the OnePlus 13 aims to redefine the flagship experience, the 13R targets users seeking premium features at a more accessible price. This comparison highlights the key differences, upgrades, and unique features to help you decide which device aligns better with your needs and budget.</p>

<h3><strong>Design and Display</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="594" height="681" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-178.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-670936" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-178.png 594w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-178-262x300.png 262w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-178-366x420.png 366w" sizes="(max-width: 594px) 100vw, 594px" /><figcaption>OnePlus 13</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The OnePlus 13 sports a premium design with a Ceramic Guard glass front and back, or an eco-leather option, paired with an aluminum frame. It boasts an IP68/IP69 rating for superior water and dust resistance, making it highly durable. Its 6.82-inch LTPO 4.1 AMOLED display offers a crisp 1440 x 3168 resolution with a peak brightness of 4500 nits. In contrast, the OnePlus 13R uses Gorilla Glass 7i, also paired with an aluminum frame and rated IP65 for basic dust and water resistance. Its slightly smaller 6.78-inch AMOLED display has a lower 1264 x 2780 resolution, but still delivers excellent visuals with the same peak brightness.</p>

<p>The OnePlus 13 feels more premium, thanks to its better build quality, superior water resistance, and higher-resolution display, making it ideal for users who value flagship aesthetics and performance.</p>

<h3><strong>Specifications&nbsp;</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="701" height="763" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-180.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-671023" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-180.png 701w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-180-276x300.png 276w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-180-696x758.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-180-386x420.png 386w" sizes="(max-width: 701px) 100vw, 701px" /><figcaption>OnePlus 13R</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The OnePlus 13 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (3 nm) chipset, paired with up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage and 24GB of RAM. Its 6000mAh battery supports 100W wired charging, reaching 100% in just 36 minutes, alongside 50W wireless and reverse wireless charging. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 13R runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (4 nm), with a maximum configuration of 512GB and 16GB RAM. Its battery offers the same capacity but charges slower, with 80W wired charging and no wireless support.</p>

<p>The OnePlus 13&#8217;s faster charging options and higher configuration choices make it the better pick for power users who demand speed and versatility.</p>

<h3><strong>Camera</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="767" height="666" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-181.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-671024" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-181.png 767w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-181-300x260.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-181-696x604.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-181-484x420.png 484w" sizes="(max-width: 767px) 100vw, 767px" /><figcaption>OnePlus 13</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The OnePlus 13 features a versatile triple-camera setup with three 50MP lenses (wide, telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and ultrawide), Hasselblad Color Calibration, and 8K video recording. The 13R, while capable, offers a similar setup with less advanced sensors, 50MP wide, 50MP telephoto with only 2x zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The 13R&#8217;s selfie camera is also less advanced, at 16MP compared to the 32MP shooter on the 13.</p>

<p>The OnePlus 13 outshines its sibling with superior camera hardware and advanced Hasselblad tuning, making it the go-to choice for photography enthusiasts.</p>

<h3><strong>Pricing</strong></h3>

<p>The OnePlus 13 is priced at <a href="https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0DPS7FB4J?tag=disconatio-21&amp;linkCode=ogi&amp;th=1&amp;psc=1" rel="nofollow">₹69,998</a> , while the OnePlus 13R is available at<a href="https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0DQ8S38R8?tag=disconatio-21&amp;linkCode=ogi&amp;th=1&amp;psc=1" rel="nofollow"> ₹42,998</a>. The significant price gap reflects their target audiences—premium flagship seekers versus those looking for a mid-tier device with solid features.</p>

<p>While the 13R is more affordable, the 13 justifies its price with top-tier specs, making it worth the investment for users seeking the best experience.</p>

<h3><strong>Conclusion</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="666" height="720" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-182.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-671025" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-182.png 666w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-182-278x300.png 278w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-182-389x420.png 389w" sizes="(max-width: 666px) 100vw, 666px" /><figcaption>OnePlus 13 R</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The OnePlus 13&#8217;s standout features include IP68/IP69 water resistance, Hasselblad-enhanced cameras, 8K video recording, and 50W wireless charging. On the other hand, the 13R excels in affordability while still offering robust specs like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and excellent AMOLED display.</p>

<p>The OnePlus 13 is the obvious choice for those seeking cutting-edge technology, but the 13R offers remarkable value for those on a budget.</p>

<p>A recent Weibo post by the prominent leaker <em><a href="https://m.weibo.cn/status/5081019365720940" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Digital Chat Station</a></em> has shed light on the gaming prowess of the upcoming<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-16-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> iPhone 16 Pro </a>series. In a series of Genshin Impact tests, the iPhone&#8217;s A18 Pro chipset was pitted against the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9300+.</p>

<p>The results, while preliminary, suggest that Apple&#8217;s A18 Pro offers superior efficiency. All three chipsets were able to maintain a consistent 60fps frame rate during the game, but the A18 Pro achieved this while consuming significantly less power. The A18 Pro used 4.05 watts, compared to 5.81 watts for the 8 Gen 3 and 5.61 watts for the 9300+.</p>

<p>However, the story doesn&#8217;t end there. The post also includes thermal imaging shots that reveal a surprising detail: the iPhone 16 Pro&#8217;s rivals appear to be prototypes. Their camera modules are blurred out, suggesting these are the phones that are yet to be officially announced.&nbsp;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="450" height="600" data-id="651298" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/OnePlus-13R-compared-with-iPhone-16-Pro1.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-651298" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/OnePlus-13R-compared-with-iPhone-16-Pro1.jpg 450w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/OnePlus-13R-compared-with-iPhone-16-Pro1-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/OnePlus-13R-compared-with-iPhone-16-Pro1-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="450" height="600" data-id="651299" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/OnePlus-13R-compared-with-iPhone-16-Pro.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-651299" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/OnePlus-13R-compared-with-iPhone-16-Pro.jpg 450w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/OnePlus-13R-compared-with-iPhone-16-Pro-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/OnePlus-13R-compared-with-iPhone-16-Pro-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px" /></figure>

<p>Despite the blurred camera modules, we can still glean some information from the images. The camera housing design of one of the prototypes resembles the iQOO Z9 Turbo, hinting at the possibility of an upcoming Turbo+ model which will be powered by the Dimensity 9300+.</p>

<p>The other prototype features a round camera module similar to the OnePlus 12 or its Ace 3 Pro variant. However, there’s a bit of a tweak in the design here. It doesn’t have frame side accents in the camera module like recent OnePlus flagships.&nbsp;</p>

<p>So this could be the highly anticipated Ace 5, a smartphone rumored to debut with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and be rebranded as the 13R for global markets. The display of the Ace 5 also seems to be flat, aligning with previous rumors about the 13R&#8217;s design.&nbsp;</p>

<p>That’s a guess we made based on rumors, so we suggest you to take these details with a pinch of salt.</p>
