After months of waiting, OnePlus will officially unveil the new OnePlus 3 flagship globally via the company’s Loop VR app. Like last year, OnePlus is continuing with the tradition of announcing the device in virtual reality, but this time, instead of the OnePlus office, the company is going to release the new device at its Loop Virtual Space Station.

Less than 12 hours are remaining for the event, and the company even has a dedicated Loop page with a countdown timer for the start of the event. You can check out the page from here. Also, in case you are wondering, check out the table below to see the exact time when the Loop VR event kicks off in your local time. Make sure you download and install the Loop app from OnePlus before the event. While the company recommends using a VR headset for watching the event, it’s not necessary to have a headset. OnePlus has ditched the invite system for their upcoming phone, the OnePlus 3. Though they announced that fans will be able to purchase units from Loop VR, news reaching us says there’ll be pop-up events in cities worldwide where people can purchase units too.

The company states on its website that there’ll be no need for people to sign up. The cities and dates are as follows:

• New York: June 15, 2016.

          7pm – 10 pm

          Special Attendee: Carl Pei

• Paris: June 15, 2016.

          11 am

• London: June 15, 2016.

          7pm – 10 pm

• Berlin: June 15, 2016.

          7pm – 10 pm

• Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bangalore: TBC

From the info above, we can see that there are 3 event venues in India. The reasons are not far-fetched: India has a very large OnePlus fanbase and OnePlus is trying to grab as much as they can of the Indian market.

OnePlus 3 is going to sell its upcoming OnePlus 3 flagship even before its official launch. The company has just revealed that a few limited units (1000) will be up for sale on June 6. So, you could very well be one of the first users to get hold of the device in China. The company has priced the device at 2999 Yuan (around $455). OnePlus adds that this is not the official price tag of the product, instead, this price is for the early adopters. It’s likely that the OnePlus 3 flagship starts at a much lower figure than this, as revealed by earlier rumors.

So, why would you even consider paying $455 for the new device? Well, if you want to be one of the first ones to experience the OnePlus 3, then this is a good opportunity. Further, the company is said to give out a few extra presents to the early adopters. What makes this sale interesting is that the price you pay will be matched by the official price tag announced on June 15 in China. So, if the official price is greater than 2999 Yuan, you will have to shell out more to compensate for the difference. If the price is less than this figure, OnePlus will refund the difference back to you. Further, you have 7 days to cancel the order — till June 14 6PM Beijing time, i.e. if you change your mind.

As for the shipments, the OnePlus 3 will be shipped on the same day as the announcement, i.e. June 15. So, your OnePlus 3 should arrive at least a couple of days before the regular orders.
