Considering how 6GB RAM went mainstream only this year, it remains to be seen whether OnePlus will upgrade the RAM further to 8GB this year itself. While we are unsure of this, what we can say with certainty is that the phone will feature the faster Snapdragon 821 chipset. Qualcomm already confirmed this in an earlier tweet, but rest of the features of the device are still unknown.

If you have been waiting for the soft gold color version of the OnePlus 3, your wait might extend for a month. The company had said that it would make this color available soon, but didn’t give an exact time frame. However, thanks to a tweet by the OnePlus 3 CEO, we now have a brief idea about its release.

According to a recent reply by OnePlus CEO to one of the tweets asking the availability of this color, he replied that OnePlus 3 soft gold version should be available sometime in the latter part of July. So, it looks like for about a month, you will be stuck with the currently available graphite color version.

It looks like OnePlus is really limiting the number of options for the buyers. At present, there is literally just ONE variant of the OnePlus 3, and that comes in graphite gray color. You get no memory or storage versions, and just the 6GB RAM model is available for purchase to potential customers. Even in July, you will have just one additional choice, soft gold color. The company has confirmed that there won’t be a 4GB RAM model, at least, not in the near future.

OnePlus made the new OnePlus 3 official yesterday and the company seems to have taken a safe route this time, giving users almost everything that they would expect on a new flagship phone without any surprises. However, there were some questions that we needed answers like what exactly is an Optic AMOLED display and why did the company decide to do away with the memory card slot on the device. Today, at the Reddit AMA, OnePlus’s CEO Carl Pei and a bunch of other staff answered these questions, which gives us a good idea about a few decisions taken by the company regarding the new OnePlus 3.

Why reduce the battery capacity on the OnePlus 3?

OnePlus is of the opinion that 3000mAh will get you throughout the day and dash charge comes in handy. Further, the use of Optic AMOLED panel and the efficient Snapdragon 820 will ensure that the OnePlus 3 will last throughout the day.

What is this Optic AMOLED Display?

OnePlus has used current gen. Super AMOLED panels and added their take on contrast and color temperature making it or at least trying to make it true to life. Carl says this also works well outdoors, in bright conditions.

Why stick with 1080p resolution on the OP3?

Because anything over 1080p is only beneficial for VR, and you spend more than 95% of your time outside of VR. Plus, having a resolution more than 1080p has many drawbacks.

Will rooting OnePlus 3 void warranty?

OnePlus 3 is official, and the company, like always, has given us yet another affordable powerful flagship. The pricing for the 6GB RAM version is just $399, which is amazing, especially considering that this is the final price you have to pay, unlike other Chinese 6GB RAM smartphones which most of you will have to buy via third party resellers.

Chinese companies have given us a few affordable 6GB RAM smartphones but OnePlus 3 is probably going to be the phone which makes 6GB RAM mainstream among smartphone users. The phone is already available for purchase internationally, and despite its Loop VR launch, which I personally didn’t enjoy much, the phone on paper is a beast! And since the company has promised immediate sale, it looks like OnePlus has made plenty of right decisions for the new OnePlus 3.

Anyway, as mentioned above, there are a few affordable 6GB RAM phones announced recently, so let’s take a look at how OnePlus 3 stands in comparison with the other phones in the market. Since they are the top flagships in the market right now, they get the top specs as well. Apart from the Xiaomi Mi5, all the three smartphones have 6GB of RAM in the top-end variant. Then there’s 64GB of storage on OnePlus 3 and Le Max 2 and 128GB ROM inside Xiaomi Mi5 and ZUK Z2 Pro. What’s really the highlight here is that all four feature UFS 2.0 storage standard. And guess what, with this much storage, all three models don’t feature a MicroSD card slot.

Moving on to the camera department, the OnePlus 3 comes with a Sony IMX298 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, OIS and EIS with manual controls. On the other hand, the ZUK Z2 Pro features a Samsung ISOCELL 13MP shooter at the back with f/1.8 aperture with once again OIS and EIS along with PDAF. As for the Xiaomi Mi5, it comes with a 16MP f/2.0 lens at the back with 4-axis OIS and PDAF. Finally, the Le Max 2 comes with a 21MP sensor at the back with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and OIS. Well, ZUK Z2 Pro can do a bit more in the slo-motion video recording, capturing at 960fps. Coming to the front, all phones, except for Mi5 have 8MP shooters at the back. As for the Xiaomi Mi5, it comes with a 4MP Ultrapixel shooter.

The OnePlus 3 and Xiaomi Mi5 come with 3000mAh batteries, while the Le Max 2 and ZUK Z2 Pro have a slightly larger 3100mAh battery. All phones except for OnePlus 3 feature Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. As for the OP3, it comes with the company’s new Dash charge which is reportedly cooler than competition, charging to 60% in 30 minutes. The Xiaomi Mi5, OnePlus 3 and the ZUK Z2 Pro feature front facing physical home buttons with fingerprint sensors. The Le Max 2 is a bit different because it features an ultrasonic sensor located at the back. Another interesting thing is that the Z2 Pro’s sensor also works with wet hands.

As for connectivity, all models except for ZUK Z2 Pro feature NFC connectivity with fingerpint payments. Other features are standard on all devices like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual SIM dual standby, 4G LTE support, and USB Type-C. The Le Max 2 and the Xiaomi Mi5 have an additional infrared port as well.

Now coming to some model specific features. The ZUK Z2 Pro comes with over 10 different professional sensors including a blood oxygen sensor, UV sensor etc to set it apart from the other devices listed here. On the other hand, the ZUK Z2 Pro’s price comes to around $416, but its limited to China. The Xiaomi Mi5 is also priced the same for the 4GB RAM model i.e. $416. The Le Max 2’s 6GB RAM model is actually the cheapest, costing around $386.

However, if you want to purchase these phones (except OP3), you will have to shell out a premium, which takes their prices to a much higher level. So, at this moment, the OnePlus 3 with 6GB RAM on board is really what most would pick among these four devices.

OnePlus has just officially announced the new OnePlus 3 flagship via the company Loop VR app. This was kind of a formality given that a few hours back, we got to know most of the specifications of the smartphone, thanks to the Amazon listing in India. But anyway, the phone is official and what we now know for sure is that the OnePlus 3 is available to purchase immediately globally without any invites. Also, OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 3 6GB RAM edition will be available at $399 internationally which is a great price for a phone with such powerful specs.

Before we actually take a look at the specs in detail, let’s take a look at the variants of the phone. That’s where it’s really surprising, given that OnePlus has currently announced just one version of the new OnePlus 3 flagship. Right now, it looks like you can get only the 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM version of the device and there’s no mention of a 4GB RAM version. But for $399 (or INR 27,999 in India) for the top-end model, I am sure not many would complain. So it looks like, OnePlus 3 is going to be the first smartphone with 6GB of RAM to be available officially in a number of countries worldwide.

We already know all the specs of the device, thanks to the previous listing. But since OnePlus has made everything official, let’s take a look at the specs once again.

First of all, the OnePlus 3 will be coming in an anodised aluminum body to make the phone look much more premium and sophisticated. The phone features a fingerprint sensor up front embedded into its oval home button. For display, the OnePlus 3 comes with an Optic AMOLED panel measuring 5.5-inches with Gorilla Glass 3 on top. There will be 6GB of RAM on board and the phone comes with the Snapdragon 820 chipset with Adreno 530 GPU. Interestingly, SD820 is usually clocked at 2.15GHz, but here, the company claims that the chip can be clocked up to 2.2GHz. There will be 64GB UFS 2.0 ROM inside and this is the only storage variant that was announced today. No MicroSD slot on board.

At the back, the OnePlus 3 features a Sony IMX298 16MP f/2.0 rear camera with OIS, EIS and PDAF, while up front, the phone comes with an 8MP shooter. You can capture 4K videos at 30fps and slow motion videos at 720p @ 120 fps. Up front, you get a f/2.0 8MP shooter with EIS. As for the battery, the phone comes with a 3000mAh capacity one inside the 7.35mm body with the company’s DASH Charge. This technology is reportedly much cooler than the competition, charging the device up to 60 percent in just 30 minutes. Other features of the OnePlus 3 include NFC, Wi-Fi ac, RGB notification light, alert slider, dual SIM cards, 4G LTE Cat. 6 support, Dirac HD sound, bottom facing speakers and dual microphones with noise cancellation. The phone is running on Android Marshmallow (doesn’t mention the exact version) with OxygenOS on top.

There will be two colors available, Graphite and Soft Gold. Graphite version goes on sale immediately worldwide for $399, while we still don’t know when the Soft Gold version will be available.

It looks like someone over at Amazon India was just fed up of the hundreds of OnePlus 3 leaks that we have been seeing online as the dedicated page for the OnePlus 3 is already live on the online retailer, revealing practically everything about the smartphone including the rumored Dash Charging tech, a few hours before the official global launch.

First of all, the listing confirms that the OnePlus 3 features a unibody design, carved out of a single slab of aluminum. The company is also calling it ultra-thin as it measures just 7.35mm. In fact, we have the full measurements, 152.7 x 74.7 x 7.35mm. The phone will weigh 158 grams, which is pretty good, considering its metal built. You get bottom facing speakers and dual noise cancellation microphones.

As for the display, the OnePlus 3 will sport a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p Optic AMOLED display and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Under the hood, like expected, the OnePlus 3 comes with a quad-core Snapdragon 820 chipset with 6GB of RAM on board. We haven’t seen the listing for the 4GB RAM version, but we expect most of the details to be the same as this version. There will be 64GB of internal storage which is going to be fast, since its UFS 2.0. There doesn’t seem to be a MicroSD card slot on board.

At the back, the OnePlus 3 will come with a 16MP camera with two image stabilizations, namely OIS and EIS to make sure that the photos and videos come out blur free. This is a Sony IMX298 sensor with 1.12um pixel size and f/2.0 aperture lens. The phone supports PDAF and can take 4K videos at 30 fps and slo-mo videos at 720p @ 120fps. Further, the phone also supports RAW images and manual controls. Up front, it will feature a f/2.0 8MP camera.

We had talked about the fast charging feature of the OnePlus 3 in our previous articles. Now, we know that the OnePlus 3 will come with Dash Charge which the company claims is faster, safer and cooler way of charging the 3000mAh battery inside. The listing states that the phone will charge to 60% in just 30 minutes at a maximum wattage of 5V 4A.

Another important feature, that seems to make a comeback in this device is the NFC. So, unlike previous rumors, the phone does come with NFC enabled. Further, you get Cat. 6 4G LTE networks, Bluetooth 4.2, dual band Wi-Fi ac, GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou. Other additional features include a fingerprint sensor embedded into the front facing home button, RGB LED notification light and an alert slider located on the left side of the device. You also get USB Type-C port as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. As for the software, the OnePlus 3 runs on OxygenOS based on Android 6.1. There also seems to be some enhancements in the music department, as the listing reveals something about OnePlus Music and Dirac technology.

Finally, there will be three models available for the OnePlus 3 — North American, Chinese and Europe/ Asia with different LTE band support. As for the pricing, we know that the OnePlus 3 6GB RAM model will be priced at INR 27,999 in India ($416).

So, there are only a few things left to know about the handset right now like the pricing of the 4GB model in India as well as the pricing of both the variants internationally as well as in China.

OnePlus 3 is coming and the launch is today! It is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2016, and we have been hearing about this particular flagship for the past few months. In fact, as the launch is coming near, we have a very good idea as to what to expect from the new flagship, thanks to the various leaked renders, real life images and TENAA listings. So, let’s take a look at the expected features, specs, pricing and other details of the upcoming OnePlus 3.

OnePlus 3 Design:

OnePlus One was a pretty good looking device and so was the OnePlus 2. Then late last year, the company released the OnePlus X with glass body and premium design for the mid-range market, taking the design to a new level. So, the company has pretty big shoes to fill with the OnePlus 3. Everyone is expecting a new design and something that will look premium and will be good to hold.

And from the renders we have seen lately, the company seems to have followed the same route as most other smartphone makers, using an all metal body on the new OnePlus 3. From the front, the design has a very similar appearance as the OnePlus 2, which is not really a bad thing since we loved OP2’s design. However, at the back, the OnePlus 3 seems to have taken inspiration from HTC One M9. Now, for most, this is a pretty good design, with visible antenna lines and a large sensor. But in my personal opinion, OnePlus could have done much better, as this design will always remind us of the good old HTC flagship. Nevertheless, the design looks polished and if you are able to get over the HTC feel, the overall design is good enough for a premium flagship smartphone.

OnePlus 3 Specs:

We have heard about the specs of the OnePlus 3 from so many sources in the past few months. Luckily, most of them, paint a very similar picture. The flagship phone will come with the mighty Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset inside, which shouldn’t be surprising that most of the powerful flagships of 2016 are currently powered by this Qualcomm chip. As for the display, you should find a 5.5-inch 1080p panel on the device.

Coming to the memory, our own sources have revealed that the OnePlus 3 will come in two variants, one with 4GB RAM + 32GB of storage and another with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. But we believe there could be two other variants, namely 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB + 128GB storage. So, in all, there could be four different variants of the device. Recent rumors also seem to conform to these specs, so it’s likely that we will see these four variants at launch.

From the reports we have seen in the past as well as the phone’s TENAA listing, the OnePlus 3 should come with a 16MP sensor at the back. Unfortunately, we didn’t see a laser focus in the renders before, so we aren’t sure whether it will make it to the device this year. Also, details about the sensor inside have been scarce till now.

But don’t be disappointed, we have seen a lot of camera samples from the OnePlus 3 in the past one month, to give us a good idea of the sensor’s capability. And from what we can see, the phone has managed to capture some pretty good images. Low light photos also have been decent. All the camera samples from the OnePlus 3 are added below.

We also have seen a couple of samples from the phone’s front camera. It should be an 8MP shooter. You can check out those images from down below.

As for the software, the OnePlus 3 international model should come with OxygenOS 3.0 based on Android Marshmallow while the Chinese variant should feature HydrogenOS based on the same Android version. The phone’s battery is said to be 3000mAh which is decent, but we should either see Quick Charge 3.0 or OPPO’s VOOC fast charging tech inside, which should speed up the process of charging the phone to 100%. There have been rumors about the company’s own Dash charge tech as well, but nothing is confirmed so far.

Like the OnePlus 2, the new OnePlus 3 handset should come with a fingerprint sensor incorporated in the home button placed right up front. We hope the company has improved the sensor inside, as there were a few reports about fingerprint sensor related issues with the previous generation OP2.

The phone should get standard connectivity features such as dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE support, dual-SIM card slots, and even NFC. However, there was a new report which said that OP3 won’t feature NFC, but we can’t be sure of that.

Our sources have revealed that the OnePlus 3 should start at 1999 Yuan which is just $306. This will be for the 4GB RAM version, and the 6GB RAM version should retail somewhere around $380. While we are yet to confirm these figures, earlier today, an advertisement, which was most likely posted by mistake in a daily newspaper in India kind of confirmed the 6GB RAM pricing of the OnePlus 3, at least in India. The phone will retail for 27999 INR which comes to $416. So, we expect the official price for the 6GB RAM model should be more or less around this figure, which would be great. Now, some of you may argue that there’s the 6GB RAM smartphone, Le Max 2 that retail for less than $400. But considering that OnePlus is sold internationally in almost all major markets, if the pricing is anywhere close to the above-mentioned figure, it would be great.

This time around, OnePlus has decided to ditch the boring old invite system. So, fans can purchase the device from the moment of announcement. In fact, the company has even revealed when the OnePlus 3 will go on sale in different time zones. Here’s the list.

OnePlus is officially going to announce the new OnePlus 3 flagship later today internationally via the Loop VR app. While we all are excitedly waiting for the new handset to be unveiled, more images of the OnePlus 3 flagship have just been leaked out on Weibo. OnePlus is all set to announce the new OnePlus 3 flagship tomorrow internationally and in China on June 15. The phone is one of the most anticipated flagships of 2016, expected to take on rivals such as Xiaomi Mi5, ZUK Z2 Pro and Le Max 2. Now, two new images of the OnePlus 3 have just been spotted in the wild, giving us a final look at the new flagship before its launch tomorrow.

These images conform to the images that we saw earlier. So, the phone has the Meizu like oval home button and 2.5D glass front. As for the back, you get an HTC like design with a square camera sensor. The phone comes in an all metal built, just like predicted earlier. In fact these images doesn’t add much information, as we already knew these details from the previous leaks. But it does give us a good look at the phone in real life.

The OnePlus 3 will come with the Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood with 4GB / 6GB RAM options and 32GB /64GB ROM options. The combination of the RAM and ROM variants should take the total number of variants of the device at least up to 4. As for the display, the phone is said to feature a 5.5-inch 1080p panel. At the back, the OnePlus 3 will reportedly come with a 16MP sensor, while up front, there should be an 8MP camera. The battery should also be decent, of 3000mAh, but according to previous rumors, it should feature VOOC fast charging technology from OPPO.

OnePlus has a tradition of hyping its flagship device before launch. This year is no exception, with the company promoting the upcoming OnePlus 3 in full spirit. We know that the OnePlus 3 will have several pop-up events in major cities around the world wherein you can purchase the device. We also know that the phone went for sale in limited quantities in China (shipping on June 15) for $450. Well, hardly anyone got hold of the unit in China since it was reportedly sold out in a second.

We also have seen a few camera samples taken by the company CEO. But now, OnePlus’s official twitter account has shared some wonderful images taken from the OnePlus 3. From the images, it looks like the phone’s been travelling, which is good, because we get to see some great shots from the device. Unfortunately, they aren’t full size, so we can’t judge the real quality until we get the original samples. However, from what we can see, the pictures have very good amount of detail and the color reproduction is good as well. The phone is expected to come with a 16MP sensor at the back and an 8MP shooter up front. Not much details about the device’s camera are available yet, but the official announcement on June 14 should confirm additional details about the sensor inside.

OnePlus doesn’t want you to stop thinking about the upcoming OnePlus 3, so they’ve been regularly dropping bits and pieces about it. And I’m sure we are going to keep getting them till the 15th of June.

This time around what we have for you are live images of the OnePlus 3 (OP3) . The version in the picture is grey and appears to be wearing a transparent case compared to the black version spotted last month. We can also see that the OnePlus logo is missing, so this is most likely one of the prototypes running around. Thinking about it now, it’s possible for people to have seen the phone in public but not know it’s the OP3 since it’s not wearing their trademark logo. Plus, the design looks quite familiar, so you might not have taken it for a new OnePlus device. 

The OnePlus 3 will be sporting a 5.5″ AMOLED FHD screen, Snapdragon 820, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 3000mAh battery, and a fingerprint scanner. It will also bring back NFC support which was removed on the OP2 and ditching the invite system.

Pricing is still not known yet but OnePlus offered 1000 units for sale today at 2999 Yuan ($450) per unit. However, if the final price turns out to be less, buyers should expect a refund. More details on the sale here.

OnePlus 3 is going to sell its upcoming OnePlus 3 flagship even before its official launch. The company has just revealed that a few limited units (1000) will be up for sale on June 6. So, you could very well be one of the first users to get hold of the device in China. The company has priced the device at 2999 Yuan (around $455). OnePlus adds that this is not the official price tag of the product, instead, this price is for the early adopters. It’s likely that the OnePlus 3 flagship starts at a much lower figure than this, as revealed by earlier rumors.

So, why would you even consider paying $455 for the new device? Well, if you want to be one of the first ones to experience the OnePlus 3, then this is a good opportunity. Further, the company is said to give out a few extra presents to the early adopters. What makes this sale interesting is that the price you pay will be matched by the official price tag announced on June 15 in China. So, if the official price is greater than 2999 Yuan, you will have to shell out more to compensate for the difference. If the price is less than this figure, OnePlus will refund the difference back to you. Further, you have 7 days to cancel the order — till June 14 6PM Beijing time, i.e. if you change your mind.

Its been a rather long wait for the new OnePlus 3 to be announced in the market. The company has finally confirmed that it will release the handset on June 14, which is still a couple of weeks away. But in case you are wondering why OnePlus decided to delay the release to mid-June, here’s one possible explanation. According to the industry insider, Mocha RQ, OnePlus reportedly is stocking nearly 1 million units of the OnePlus 3 flagship for sale. The company has been stocking up the new flagship recently, which also makes it possible for it to make the phone available for sale, the very next day.

Apart from this information, the pricing details of the OnePlus 3 were also leaked today. Unlike previous rumors which said that the phone would start at 1999 Yuan ($308), this new rumor states that there will be four different versions of the new handset. Because of the increased cost of mass producing the all-metal OnePlus 3, as compared to the plastic and glass Mi5, the OnePlus 3’s base variant will start at a similar price as Xiaomi Mi5’s high-end version, i.e. 2299 Yuan. The second variant will compete with the Le Max 2 model, the third will compete with the ZUK Z2 Pro top-end model and finally, the fourth variant will compete with the Huawei Honor V8. If this four variant strategy is indeed true, then we can expect the prices to be at 2299 Yuan ($349), 2499 Yuan ($379), 2699 Yuan ($410) and 2799 Yuan ($425).

These variants could differ in terms of memory, back material, and other features. This is the first time we are hearing about a four variant strategy by OnePlus, so we don’t have much information about these models. But if this is true, then expect a lot more details in the next few days.

All this while, we have been waiting patiently for OnePlus to reveal a final release date for its new OnePlus 3 flagship. Now, the company has made the date official, as OnePlus revealed via its official weibo page that the OnePlus 3 flagship will be announced on June 15. So, it looks like the rumored June 14 release date wasn’t too far off.

What’s even more interesting is that the company will start selling the new flagship a day after the announcement. So, you can purchase the new phone starting June 16. This is surprising given that OnePlus’s Peer Review Program kicks off from June 13 and continue till June 20, which means the regular customers will be able to purchase the device when this review program is going on.

Design and specs wise, we know almost everything about the new device. The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 820 with 4GB / 6GB RAM options and 64GB of internal storage. Under the hood, you have a 3000mAh battery  with fast charging. It is said that we could see OPPO’s super fast VOOC fast charging on board the new device, but this feature is yet to be officially confirmed. As for the design, for the first time, the OnePlus 3 will feature an all metal build. OnePlus 3 specs have almost been confirmed thanks to the certifications in China as well as US. However, up till now, we only saw a 4GB RAM version of the phone. Now, the 6GB OnePlus 3 version has finally made it to the TENAA certification website, which confirms the existence of this large RAM model. We had exclusively reported a while back that the phone will come in two variants, 4GB RAM + 32GB and 6GB RAM + 64GB, so this news shouldn’t come as a surprise.

As for the overall design, it seems to be exactly like the ones we have seen before. This would be quite competitive, taking on both the Xiaomi Mi 5 and the ZUK Z2 model which was announced today. However, the Z2 is actually cheaper, costing just 1799 Yuan ($273) for the 4GB RAM version, which is impressive.

Evleaks gave us a first good look at the OnePlus 3 flagship smartphone a few days back. To be honest, it looked like the design was inspired by HTC. Now, OnePlus 3 has just passed through the Chinese TENAA certification website and guess what, the design we saw back then is almost confirmed today. TENAA reveals that the new OnePlus flagship will be going with the market trend by using an all metal design, a first for the company. Up front, the phone will feature 2.5D glass.

Design wise, the OnePlus 3 has a bit of an HTC feel, but overall the looks are not bad at all. You have a large camera sensor on the top center of the back panel, which for your information is protruding. Then, there’s a single LED flash and no laser focus, which is really surprising given that the OnePlus 2 had this tech. The black antenna bars are a significant part of the design and lies on top as well as near the bottom of the metal back panel.

OnePlus 3 will soon meet us, probably at the start of June. But that doesn’t stop the numerous leaks that crop up online. The latest information about the OnePlus flagship comes via the noted leaker, Evan Blass, who revealed a screenshot of the upcoming device along with a few specs details as well.

According to the new screenshot, the OnePlus 3 is seen running on an Android N preview build. The model number is RAIN A3000, the same model that we saw on the benchmarks a few weeks back. The phone seems to be running on the Oxygen version 3.1.0 along with the kernel version 3.10.84. This is clearly a preview build running on the new handset, but expect the Android Marshmallow version out of the box when the phone is released. You will probably get to play around with Android N after it’s released and the phone is updated via OTA.

While evleaks is known to release credible information about upcoming smartphones, some users at XDA claim that the kernel version should be updated, as well as the Oxygen OS version. We aren’t sure whether this is fake or not but the info seems to match with the earlier leaks. He added that the phone will come with Snapdragon 820 with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 64GB storage, 16MP rear camera and for some, the most important feature — NFC.

The screen resolution of 1080p might be great for the battery, but when it comes to things like VR, it falls short of the requirement. We have time and again seen that 2K is the minimum resolution to enjoy VR in good clarity, and when OnePlus is so focused on VR, we wonder whether the new flagship will be limited to Full HD resolution.

Well, there are two variants reported, one with 4GB RAM and another with 6GB RAM. Maybe one of the variants would come with 2K display. We can’t be sure of that at the moment, but let’s wait for more details.

The picture is taken from the front camera of the phone, which should be an 8MP sensor. While we can’t be sure of the lighting conditions when the photo was taken, it looks like the camera has done a decent job of capturing even the dark areas. But we would have liked the image to be clearer.

The company seems to have adopted a new sales strategy this year. For example, the OnePlus 3 launch will include the world’s first VR shopping experience, which allows viewers to purchase the device before anyone else when in virtual reality. So, it looks like OnePlus is finally ditching the invite system for good. The company also gave away 30,000 Loop VR headsets to its fans worldwide yesterday which can be used to watch the event. But the event can be viewed with any standard VR headset.

Despite no official confirmation from the company yet, we seem to be inching closer to the launch of the new flagship model from OnePlus, which should most likely be called as the OnePlus 3. We have already seen renders of the new flagship before, and the company seems to have taken inspiration from both Meizu for the front home button and HTC for the back’s design. But all those renders looked ugly and they weren’t something that we would have liked the new OP3 to look like.

Now, Evan Blass aka evleaks has revealed a new promo image of the upcoming OnePlus 3 flagship and turns out, the phone isn’t as bad looking as we thought earlier. But there is definitely a familiarity in the phone’s design. The back looks like its inspired from HTC’s design philosophy, while the front has a feel of the OnePlus 2 with a physical home button that’s inspired from Meizu’s Blue Charm series. To be honest, in this render, the all metal back and the sleek body looks quite good. In fact, this makes us want to see more of the device, which hopefully we will, in the coming days.

Similar to the previous renders, this particular image confirms a toggle switch on the left side along with the volume keys. The power button is located on the right. All the ports seem to be at the bottom, including USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack along with the speakers and microphone openings.

Well, evleaks not only revealed this new promo image, but also stated that the upcoming phone was going to come with AMOLED display and a 3000mAh battery. This contradicts earlier rumours which said that the phone would come with a 3500mAh battery with fast charging.

OnePlus 3 has been making the headlines for the past couple of days, and we have seen some clear renders of the device. Up till now, the renders revealed that OnePlus could be taking some inspiration from other smartphone makers like HTC and Meizu. But now, alleged official renders of the device have been spotted online, revealing a slightly different design.

It is said that the images that were spotted on an online games website, but were soon replaced. So, it looks like the website posted those pictures by mistake. The device in the new images look much better than the previous renders, and this time around it looks the device has taken inspiration from Sony. The phone features a solid rectangular design, which looks a lot like Sony’s Xperia range.

The new renders reveal a glossy metallic frame and a dedicated button which should be for the camera, in addition to the power button and volume buttons. What we can see further is an oval physical home button, similar to the ones we have seen on Meizu’s smartphones. The bezels seem to be super thin as well, but that’s usually the case with all renders, so better wait for some real life images. Unfortunately, these new images do not reveal the back of the device, so we can’t confirm whether it’s similar to HTC’s back.

Also, according to the latest information, the phone will have a 128GB storage variant as well. It is said that the phone will be announced on May 28 and will be released early June. The 4GB RAM version of the phone will reportedly go on sale for 1999 yuan ($308), while the 6GB RAM version is said to retail for 2499 Yuan ($382).

As for the specs, the OnePlus 3 is expected to come with Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset, 5.5-inch Super AMOLED 1080p display, Android 6.0.1 and 3500mAh battery, possibly with OPPO’s low voltage fast charging technology. Read more about the phone’s specs from here.

OnePlus 3 is rumored to be announced around May 18 of this month and released sometime early June. However, as of now, the Chinese smartphone maker has not yet revealed any details of an official event around the above-mentioned date. Now, several alleged pictures of the OnePlus 3 have surfaced online, giving us a first good look at the device.

From the front, the OnePlus 3 seems to have retained the basic shape as the OnePlus 2. However, when you come to the part below the display, things look too familiar. The fingerprint sensor embedded (most likely) home button looks like it’s taken directly from Meizu. Don’t agree with us? Check out the image of the Pro 6’s home button down below and you would notice the similarity.

Coming to the back, the top design looks like inspired by HTC’s earlier One series models. The lines on the top and the bottom are  similar to the ones on the HTC One M9. So, overall, the OnePlus 3 leaked today looks like a combination of HTC and Meizu.

As for the specs, the OnePlus 3 is expected to come with the Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset in two memory variants, 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM and 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM. At the back, the phone is expected to come with 16MP rear camera and up front, an 8MP selfie shooter. The camera is supposed to take excellent bokeh effect images, an example of which we saw via the company CEO recently. Other possible specs of the phone include 3500mAh battery, OPPO’s 5V 4A low voltage fast charge, and Android 6.0 with Hydrogen OS 2.0.

Given that most manufacturers have already announced their flagship phones for 2016, our attention is now towards the Chinese manufacturer OnePlus who is reportedly preparing the launch of its new generation flagship model, the OnePlus 3 sometime around May 18. The smartphone market is nothing like when OnePlus entered back in 2014, with the competition intensifying with the entry of more Chinese handset makers into the international market. So, there is no doubt that the company will have to step up its game this year.

Thanks to a leak from a popular user on Weibo, KJuma, we now have a lot more details about the OnePlus 3 flagship. From what we can see, the phone will offer tremendous value for the money you put in, starting at just $310. In fact, the pricing and the memory details are in line with what we had leaked exclusively a few days back. So, let’s look at what the OnePlus 3 would most likely offer.

Every year, OnePlus makes sure that their flagship phone comes with the best chipset in the market. This year too, the company is said to continue the tradition, using Snapdragon 820 inside the OnePlus 3. The new leak reveals two memory variants. The standard version will come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the high-end variant should come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. At this point, we don’t know whether the storage will be expandable or not.  As for the display, it should have a 5.5-inch panel with 1080p resolution.

As for the camera, the phone should come with a 16MP rear sensor with a large aperture which reportedly takes amazing bokeh effect photos. Well, we did see a camera sample from the OnePlus 3 revealed directly by the company CEO and it looked good. Up front, you can expect an 8MP shooter. Inside, there will be a 3500mAh battery and for software, Android 6.0 based Hydrogen OS 2.0. There was no mention of fast charging tech in this new leak, but earlier today, we saw a new OnePlus A3000 phone certified with OPPO’s low voltage 5V 4A charging support, which should end up on the OP3.

Now, coming to the pricing, the OnePlus 3 will start at 1999 yuan ($310) says the leak for the 4GB RAM + 32GB version. The high-end 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant will retail for 2499 Yuan ($384). If true, these are some aggressive prices for the specs the phone comes with. To recap, one of the best value for money handsets in the market right now, the Xiaomi Mi 5 also starts at $310, but it comes with 3GB RAM and an underclocked CPU.

We haven’t really seen the new OnePlus 3 handset in real life, so we don’t know how the phone will end up looking. But we can expect the company to cook up a great design for their most important smartphone of this year.

We all know that the OnePlus 3 flagship will be coming real soon. In fact, just recently we saw the first possible camera sample from the device, shared directly by CEO, Pete Lau. Now, we have received exclusive information about the upcoming flagship, thanks to an employee within the company.

One of the most important details leaked today is the pricing. Our source tells us that the OnePlus 3 will be priced at 1999 Yuan or $310. This price should be for the base variant of the device, and would make it cheaper than the OnePlus 2’s price at launch ($329).

The source also reveals that the OnePlus 3 will come in two variants, a standard one which will feature Snapdragon 820, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. In addition to this, there would be a high-end variant as well, featuring the same Snapdragon 820 chip but with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The second version would naturally be priced higher than the standard version, but at present, we have no information about the same.

OnePlus has been blazing away to glory after the success of its three devices in markets across many countries. Now, the company is the expected to launch the Oneplus 3 flagship this June. The OnePlus 3 is expected to launch “at the end of the second quarter,” said Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, in an
exclusive interview given to CNET.

He also said the new phone will feature a “new design,” which implies a departure from the traditional design from its predecessor, the OnePlus 2 .

The leak suggests the phone would be utilising an enhanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, which will offer much faster multi-tasking capabilities and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

OnePlus 3 concept looks very slim and comes with a large speaker grille on the top above the front camera. Renders also show that the OnePlus 3 gets USB Type-C and a power/lock slider button. It is rumored that the OnePlus will get a FullHD 5.5-inches screen, 4GB RAM, and a 20MP rear camera. Also, a dedicated camera button is seen at the edge.
