Earlier this month, OnePlus launched its flagship smartphone — OnePlus 6 and also announced OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition smartphone in India. Now, the limited edition variant will be available for purchase today in India through online stores.

It will go on sale through Amazon as well as OnePlus’ official online store in India, OnePlus.in. The company has said that the phone will be available in limited quantities only. The smartphone will also be available offline from OnePlus Experience Store in Bengaluru, authorized stores, or Croma retail stores starting June 3.

The OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition is priced at Rs. 44,999 (approximately $664), making it the most expensive smartphone from OnePlus thus far. All the standard launch offers apply to this model also. Users will get no-cost EMIs up to 3 months, a 12-month accidental damage insurance from Servify, and Celartrip benefits worth up to Rs. 25,000 on flight and hotel bookings, among others.

The OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition smartphone comes with the Avengers’ insignia on the back, a carbon fiber texture on the back panel, and golden-colored accents. The Alert Slider is in golden color as well as the OnePlus logo on the back.

Further, the smartphone comes with five customized Avengers wallpapers while the box has also been custom designed to reflect the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition model’s superhero heritage. The smartphone also comes bundled with Iron Man-themed back cover and one of the six pieces of Infinity Medal.

The phone’s specifications are almost same as the standard model. It comes with a 6.28-inch notched AMOLED display with screen resolution of  2280 x 1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor.

The regular model of  OnePlus 6 comes in different memory configuration — 6GB and 8GB RAM along with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB internal storage option. However, this Avengers Limited Edition smartphone comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

On the back side, there’s a dual camera setup, sporting a 16MP primary Sony IMX519 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 1.22um pixels, and OIS, and a 20MP Sony IMX376K secondary camera sensor, mainly for depth information. On the front side, there’s a 16MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The device is running the company’s own OxygenOS, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. However, the OnePlus is already a part of Android P Beta program and thus, users can also try out the upcoming Android P. After announcing its “flagship killer” OnePlus 6 smartphone in London yesterday, OnePlus launched its OnePlus 6 smartphone in India today. Along with that, the company also launched a special variant of the phone — OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition.

Before announcing this limited edition device in the Indian market, the phone was first announced in China today. It comes with a custom 3D Kevlar-textured glass back with Corning Gorilla 5 protection, features 6 layers of optical coating.

On the back panel, there’s an Avengers logo in gold color, in addition to OnePlus branding which is also in gold color. The alert slider on the side of the phone also comes covered in a golden hue. Further, the smartphone comes with 5 custom Avengers wallpapers.

Along with this specially designed smartphone, the company is also bundling Iron Man protective case in the box as well as one of the six Avenger superhero medals in each box (Hulk, Black Widow, Black Panther, Iron Man, Captain America and Thor).

Yesterday, OnePlus took the curtains off its latest flagship smartphone — OnePlus 6. Despite launching the new smartphone at a launch event in London, the company has yet another device up its sleeve.

China-based OnePlus has already confirmed that it’ll be launching the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition smartphone, continuing its partnership with Marvel to launch special edition devices. While the phone is set to launch today, the official press renders of the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition has already surfaced online.

The smartphone comes in a carbon black textured back panel with gold-colored accents. There’s an Avengers logo placed on the bottom of the back panel in golden color. Further, the OnePlus branding on the back panel is also in gold color. Also, the three-stage slider switch (alert slider) has been covered in gold color.

It also comes with a customized Avengers wallpaper. Continuing the Avengers-themed customizations, the company is also offering Iron Man themed protective back cover for the OnePlus 6 smartphone. The protective back panel shell has Iron Man’s mask embossed on it.

As of the internals, everything in this OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition is expected to remain same as the standard OnePlus 6. It features a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with 2280 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and a tall 19:9 aspect ratio.

While the display features a notch on top, there’s an option to get rid of the notch through the software, but that means you’ll be putting a black bar on the sides of the notch, wasting the available screen space.

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm‘s flagship Snapdragon 845 processor along with 6GB / 8GB RAM and 64GB/ 128GB/ 256GB internal storage options. There’s dual SIM card slots and support for 40 bands across Europe and Americas.

Coming to the camera department, the smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 1.22um pixels, and OIS. There’s a 20-megapixel secondary camera for depth sensing. The phone supports 4K videos at 60 fps which put it in the same ranks as Galaxy S9 and iPhone X. On the front side, it features a 16-megapixel snapper.

It runs on OxygenOS based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box and users can test out the latest Android P Beta version as well. The phone is powered by a 3,300mAh battery and comes with the company’s own Dash Charge 2.0 fast charging technology.

In the last week, OnePlus confirmed that it will be launching a special edition Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 smartphone. Today, the company has released a new teaser of the phone which not only confirms its moniker as OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition, but also reveals its design.

The new commercial not only shows the trailer of the movie, but also gives a glimpse of the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition in between. The rear side of the special edition phone has a textured appeal and the frontside features a notched screen. The Alert Slider that now sits on the right side of the device is also highlighted in the new teaser.

Last year, OnePlus had partnered with Disney to give 10,000 tickets for Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie. This time around, OnePlus is giving away 6,000 tickets for the next Avengers movie to the buyers of OnePlus phone. The tickets can be redeemed through Paytm through cities like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. The tickets belong for the movie April 27, 28 and A9.

Readers can visit the website of OnePlus India to claim the movie tickets. It requires users to provide details like the IMEI number of OnePlus phone and city name. After hitting the “Get it” button, a coupon code will be generated for the movie ticket. Users can then access Paytm and select the desired show from the list of following theaters:

Both the smartphones are expected to feature the same specs, but the special edition variant is expected to feature an avenger theme and may come in special package. The above teaser suggests that China too will be receiving the limited-edition Avengers-themed OnePlus 6. It will be also heading to the U.K. As of this writing, there is no information available on the pricing of this special model of OP6.
