Recently, OnePlus changed the launch event date from October 30 to October 29 due to date collision with Apple’s event. There are a lot of leaks and reports that are surfacing just before the launch of OnePlus 6T. Today, a Swedish retailer, Webhallen has listed the OnePlus 6T ‘Ultimate Limited Edition’ on the website with a stock of up to 100 units. The listing is giving us a first look at the new packaging box of OnePlus 6T. The package also includes a tagline of “OnePlus 6T as well as a host of secret things.”

The OnePlus 6T ‘Ultimate Limited Edtion’ box at first gives a promising official look but upon retailer’s denial of any explanation makes it feel like a fake product listing. We are not denying any possibility of OnePlus 6T Ultimate Edition as OnePlus has launched limited edition devices earlier also. In the past, OnePlus 5T received a Star Wars edition while OnePlus 6 had an Avengers limited edition. So, the overall possibility of the special edition OnePlus 6T can’t be denied.

OnePlus 6T special variant is expected to host high-end specs of 8GB RAM with 256 GB storage along with some OnePlus accessories like cases, screen protectors, etc. Additionally, OnePlus 6T will carry Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with a waterdrop display having an on-screen fingeprint sensors. It will be OnePlus’s first device to launch without a headphone Jack. OnePlus 6T is expected to come with the Android 9.0 Pie.

The phone is launching in the UK on O2, Vodafone and via other offline retailers. While users in the US can get it via T-Mobile.

Our folks at MySmartPrice has managed to get some new pictures of the OnePlus 6T cases along with their pricing details. There are total six cases that OnePlus will be offering for their latest upcoming flagship. As seen in the images above we can see OnePlus 6T Karbon bumper Case priced for Rs 1990 (~$26). There’s another Black Flip cover with the pricing of Rs 1290(~$17) along with the Nylon bumper case. OnePlus has added a lot of variety this time as they have debuted Red Silicone Protective case and Sandstone Protective case at the price of Rs 1290 (~$17) and Rs 990(~$13). Overall there are three bumper cases (Nylon, Ebony Wood, Carbon) and two protective cases (Sandstone and Carbon).

These are the same cases that the Chinese company has made available for OnePlus 6. We expect some new type of cases for OnePlus 6T to match its waterdrop display and in screen fingerprint camera.

OnePlus 6T Specs

Additionally, OnePlus 6T will get some internal upgrades like a new waterdrop display with an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner. There will be a USB-C type port without 3.5 mm audio jack. This time company will sell USB Type-C Bullets separately for the OnePlus 6T. It will be bundled with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and 6/8 RAM configuration.

Recently, Carl Pei, Co-Founder of OnePlus took to Twitter to formally announce the OnePlus 6T availability in the UK. In a recent tweet and from a forum post on the OnePlus community, it is clear that OnePlus 6T is going to be the most widely available device of OnePlus in the UK. It will be available for purchase from different carriers like O2, EE and Vodafone. Even, users can directly buy the device from retailers such as Carphone Warehouse and John Lewis.

Further, in the same forum post, OnePlus revealed that the upcoming flagship device will be made available for purchase by November 6th. OnePlus has already started stocking up the device for the respective retail and network carrier partners.

OnePlus motive is to provide an ultimate experience of their products even before the customer buys a device. The Chinese company wants to provide various solutions to experience their devices at different stores across the UK. So, you can expect the device for show-off at multiple retailers stores who have partnered with OnePlus. It will be an essential milestone for OnePlus if they launch OnePlus 6T successfully in the UK.

Additionally, OnePlus 6T is expected to carry Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (2.8 GHz, Quad core, Kryo 385 + 1.8 GHz, Quad core, Kryo 385) coupled with Adreno 630. It will feature a 6.41 inch AMOLED display having a resolution of  1080 x 2340 pixels. It will host an improved dual camera on teh rear side of the device with a 16-megapixel camera on the front.

It will be made available in two different RAM variants of 6/8GB. OnePlus 6T will come on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. In connectivity, there will be an NFC, USB Type-C, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS. In sensors, OnePlus 6T will carry Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass and Gyroscope.

OnePlus 6T is ready for launch on October 30, with some major changes than the typical T-series phones form OnePlus. This time some more significant changes have made it more interesting. As per the leaks and rumours, OnePlus 6T will come with a waterdrop display and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. Further, there will be a new packaging for the OnePlus 6T and “a whole new UI” with improved gestures and functions coming with the OnePlus 6T.

This week, OnePlus made it available for pre-booking via Amazon India where it received huge takers. Due to its popularity and some offers, OnePlus managed to rake up a business of 400 crores in just 36 hours.

Today, as per the resident software expert and user experience lead at OnePlus forums revealed some new aspects about OnePlus 6T User Interface. He started by saying that it will bring a whole new UI with new OxygenOS. It will be “a fast, smooth & burden-less experience with no gimmicks”. It will host “the most distinct and intuitive version of OxygenOS yet.” The UI expert, Szymon K revealed the goal “to express the OnePlus design language” in the new UI.

There will be new gestures like swiping up from bottom to right side would open a last used app. In the new iteration of the OnePlus 6, 6T will bring a gesture to open Google Assistant by holding the home button for 0.5 seconds. OnePlus has tested the new gestures around 1000 times to make motion feels natural. There will be no navigation bar, and everything will be based on gestures.

OnePlus has also focused on to improve its camera, so there’s no harm if you are expecting more better pictures from the OnePlus 6T camera. There will be deep AI integration which will help your device to learn the sleeping pattern and ultimately helps in reducing the power usage. There’s also an “advanced Do Not Disturb mode” based on the similar AI analysis.

Additionally, OnePlus 6T will carry Snapdragon 845 SoC with 6/8GB RAM option. It will come in three different variants of 64/128/256 GB of internal storage. Users will get a waterdrop display having more than 90% body-to-screen rate with an Optical in-screen fingerprint sensor. The increased overall size will help OnePlus to adjust a little bigger battery of 3700 mAh.

In a recent leak, it is believed that the OnePlus 6T will carry an Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

OnePlus 6T is just a few days away from the official launch on October 30th. Ahead of its official launch, OnePlus is revealing some new information about its in-screen fingerprint sensor. The Chinese company took to Weibo to announce some details about the OnePlus 6T’s fingerprint sensor. The new device will feature an optical in-display fingerprint reader which brings higher accuracy and faster response times than the sonic based sensors.

Rather than just confirming about the in-screen fingerprint on OnePlus 6T, the Chinese firm has also provided some information about its fingerprint module. The optical sensor functions in a much better way than the sonic sensors but currently it’s new and is not adopted by various manufacturers. Vivo has used a similar optical-based sensor on Nex S, but it has not received excellent reviews. So, it would be interesting to see how OnePlus uses the same technology to get better results.

Despite being under the same parent company – BBK International, Vivo and OnePlus operate on a very different philosophy and aims. So, we can’t compare the Vivo Nex S performance or features with the upcoming OnePlus 6T. There can be different software optimizations or tweaked fingerprint reader on OnePlus 6T which can result in improved accuracy and faster response times.
