OnePlus has already officially unveiled the OnePlus 7T in India and the premium flagship device is available in just two colours – Glacier Blue and Frosted Silver. The OnePlus 7T series is expected to be launched in Europe on October 10. We expect the company to unveil a surprise by launching the OnePlus 7T Pro alongside the 7T. We are not 100% sure of that but another twist is that the company might add a third finish to the two colour options the 7T comes with.

According to a tip by the popular tipster, Ishan Agarwal OnePlus was working on an Olive Green variant of the OnePlus 7T. The new colour variant was supposed to have been released and will be available in 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage combo. However, the variant wasn’t released in India but may be released in Europe or China. It is also possible that OnePlus decided to scarp the variant.

If OnePlus eventually released an Olive Green variant for the OnePlus flagship OP 7T, it will be the first time for a phone but not the first OnePlus device to get the Olive Green paint job. Earlier this year, the company launched the OnePlus Bullets Wireless headset with an Olive Green colour.

Chinese tech giant OnePlus is all set to unveil the OnePlus 7T in India tomorrow. It is our expectation that the company will also launch the OnePlus 7T Pro. The launch event will go live at 19:00 IST (GMT+5:30). You can stream the event live from anywhere around the world from OnePlus YouTube channel.

The OnePlus 7T is expected to come with a fluid AMOLED display which has been confirmed to enable an impressive 90GHz refresh rate and have 2K resolution. The flagship will also pride itself among the smartphones that drop running Google’s latest Android 10 of course with OnePlus’ custom Oxygen OS out of the box. OnePlus CEO Carl Pei recently shared what is said to be the new retail box for the OP 7T and it is a “red affair”. At the heart of the device will be a Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset which will likely be paired with 8GB of RAM on both models. However, while the OnePlus 7T model will reportedly ship with 128GB, the OP 7T Pro may have a base storage of 256GB. The OP 7T is also been revealed to come with a spectacular circular camera module at the back. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau is known for his essays explaining the design of its upcoming smartphones but that is usually restricted to sketches. However, the CEO took a rare step today by unveiling renders of the OnePlus 7T first on the OnePlus community.

The design looks familiar and that is because it has popped online as far back as December 2018, leaked by teenage tipster Ishan Agarwal back in December 2018. The sketch was also shared by Twitter leakster Evan Blass a few weeks back. What makes it stand out is the circular camera module at the middle.

Pete Lau took us down memory lane, highlighting the design progression right from the OnePlus One to the OnePlus 7. He also gave us an insight into the design language of the OP 7T and why the company adopted such a design. He noted that the camera housing is completely reimagined and they expect it to make a bold visual statement. The camera is also designed to flow naturally with the overall design for a seamless appearance.

The circular housing holds a triple camera setup with the three sensors making a perfect symmetry when viewed from any direction. The CEO hinted that the design was selected after perusing over fifty design iterations. The rear panel is made from the 4th generation matte-frosted glass.

The front design wasn’t featured in Pete Lau’s essay so we can’t say for sure the type of notch the OP7T will have or even if it will have one or not. However, leaked 3D renders point to a waterdrop notch design to be on the OnePlus 7T display.

Since the release of the OnePlus 3T in November 2016, OnePlus has in subsequent years released a slightly upgraded variant of its flagship bearing the “T” suffix. From the OnePlus 5T right to the OnePlus 6T, the models have all lived up to expectations and usually reignite sales of the brand’s flagship models. The OnePlus 7 isn’t likely going to be an exception as the renders of what is touted to be the OnePlus 7T has emerged online.

The renders which were leaked by the renowned tipster Evan Bass, avail us the opportunity to have a look at the rear design.  What is interesting about the rear design is the round camera module in the middle. However, there is no indication as to the number of sensors that would be onboard or how they will be arranged.  It doesn’t even have any feature that points to it being a camera module except that it is located where the rear camera is supposed to sit. What we can promise you is that the design is going to be a spectacular one, OnePlus style.

Also worthy of note is that the design looks similar to the leaked image of a OnePlus model leaked by teenage tipster Ishan Agarwal back in December 2018. The image showed the device in prototype/designing stage with a similar circular rear camera module. However, there were rumours that the design ever left the prototype stage. But right now, @evleaks tips this to be the design of the OnePlus 7T. We’ll have to wait for more details to emerge. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 7T is rumoured to get an early September 26 launch date. That may not be correct but going by precedence, the device is expected to drop in October or November this year.
