Following its first R&D Center, OnePlus has launched its World’s largest Experience Store in Hyderabad today. On the occasion, the company has also announced that it plans to invest ₹100 crores to expand its offline business. Launched virtually, OnePlus says it is the “first-ever, fan-controlled store reveal” on Twitter Live.

OnePlus, in a Press release, says that the new building spans across 16,000 sq ft. Named OnePlus Nigam Palace, the new Store is located at Himayat Nagar, Hyderabad. And, the naming looks like a conscious decision to match the cultural heritage of the city. Talking about the design, the store has an outer Aluminium Facade at the front, And a Red Brick wall beneath.

OnePlus also says that the newly launched OnePlus 8T 5G will be available at Nizam Palace Store starting tomorrow(November 5).

Additionally, OnePlus says it has followed all stringent norms including safety and hygiene to honour the Government’s protocol. Accordingly, it follows social distancing, sanitation of premises, and temperature check of staff members. Also, OnePlus’ new Store is in-line with its omnichannel strategy to expand offline. Previously, the company opened its first offline partner store in Mumbai back in 2018. And an Experience Store in Bengaluru in 2017.

After a lot of expansion strategies, it now has over 5,000 stores including partners. And OnePlus says the offline expansion will continue with a new ₹100 crores investment. It aims to take the premium store experience deep into interior regions of the country beyond Metro cities via new retail alliances. Not to mention its commitment to cover 100 cities through the service center network will be covered by next year(2021).

Riding on the success of the OnePlus 8 series models that were released earlier this year, OnePlus has officially announced the OnePlus 8T 5G in a virtual event held today. The premium flagship model promises a host of topnotch features but less improvement compared to previous models in the T series.

First, the model wasn’t upgraded to the Snapdragon 865+ chipset as used to be the case but retains the Snapdragon 865 chipset just like we earlier reported. The Snapdragon 865 is the same chipset utilised on the OnePlus 8 and it teams up with a Snapdragon X55 5G Modem-RF System, which enables staggering multi-gigabit 5G connectivity, professional-quality photography at Gigapixel speeds, desktop-level gaming with ultra-realistic graphics, and intuitive AI experiences. The processor also brings support for dual-mode NSA + SA 5G and Wi-Fi 6 enabling faster, more reliable data speeds.

The processor is paired with 8GB / 12GB RAM while there are 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage options.

Next, we take a look at the OnePlus 8T 5G display. A real-life image of OnePlus’ upcoming smartphone, the OnePlus 8T has been leaked ahead of October 14 launch(tomorrow). The leaked image that is on Slashleaks, shows the device in Aquamarine Green color. Also, it has been shared by tipster like Ishan Agarwal citing an unknown source on Twitter.

The rear image of the OnePlus 8T that has gone viral(via GSMArena) on the internet seems to have been caught by someone named “Harsha Gogineni”. The captured live shot shows OnePlus 8T and it’s supposed retail box packaging. Interestingly, the device is seen covered with a TPU case on it. And, the rear looks exactly like the official renders shared by the company. We have a rectangular layout with four cameras along with what is likely a light temperature sensor, and LED flash.

Further, an “OnePlus Logo” with Golden accents sits in the middle whereas “OnePlus” branding is at the bottom. Additionally, the live shot confirms the placement of buttons. We have power and alert slider to the right, and volume buttons to the left. However, the retail packaging has a big “8T” written only at the top and not on the sides. While it’s hard to tell how thick the device would be just by looking at the rear image, we can expect it to have a thickness of 8.4mm which is a bit higher than the predecessor, 7T.

That said, we do know what the device will offer. It will feature a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz, Snapdragon 865 SoC. The rear camera layout on the leaked live shot will likely have four sensors– 48MP Sony IMX 586, 16MP ultra-wide, 5MP Macro, and 2MP b/w sensor. For selfies, it is said to have a 16MP Sony IMX 471 sensor tucked inside the punch-hole. The device will most likely be backed by a 4,500mAh battery and have 65W Warp charging support. The company has confirmed that a virtual pop-up event of OnePlus 8T will take place on October 14 at 8:20 PM IST on its 3D virtual reality platform OnePlus World. Furthermore, a new leak reveals the camera details of OnePlus 8T. As per Mukul Sharma(Twitter: @stufflistings), OnePlus 8T will have a 48MP Sony IMX586, 16MP wide-angle, 5MP Macro, and a 2MP black&white sensor on the back. On the front, it will have a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor for selfies. And regarding the price, tipster Ishan Agarwal has leaked the sale date(October 17), and the prices of OnePlus 8T as below:

OnePlus’ next flagship, the OnePlus 8T is just around the corner. Ahead of its launch, let us look at the already confirmed and other expected specifications along with the price for the device.

OnePlus began teasing the 8T a few weeks ago. The device will debut in India on October 14 at 7:30 PM IST and October 15 in China. The event will be streamed live via its official website. In terms of design, the device adopts a flatter display like the OnePlus 7T. This is understandable considering there isn’t an 8T Pro this time and the 8T will likely succeed the 7T and equate OnePlus 8 in features.

OnePlus 8T Design, colors

Design-wise, it will likely to have a sandwich of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 6 to be on the display and rear-panel with a metal frame inside. We can expect it to be structurally sound and water-resistant with an IP68 rating. The display will be flat and host a single punch-hole at the top left. The power button and OnePlus slider will be on the Right, and volume buttons to the left. Also, it will mostly have a thickness of 8.4mm without a camera and a whopping 9.3mm thanks to the bulging rear-camera cut-out that is flaunted in official renders.

The official render shows a rectangular camera layout on the back 4 cameras and LED flash. While this shape looks like its borrowed from Samsung, the rounded edges make it more subtle. And, for the color variants, it will come in Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver options thanks to tipster Ishan Agarwal.

OnePlus 8T Specifications

Starting with display, OnePlus has confirmed that the device will have a 120Hz refresh rate screen. The device will feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass. Its peak brightness will be 1,100 nits, covers 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 0.3 JNCD(color difference), and a screen-body ratio of 91.9%. Powering the device will most likely be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

As for the optics, leaks say that OnePlus will sport the 48MP f/1.8 Sony IMX 586 sensor with OIS, EIS. Moving on, OnePlus has recently shared ultra-wide samples on the rear-camera confirming the presence. The samples show that the wide-angle lens can show its prowess in Night light too. That said, the other sensors probably are 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide with 116˚ FOV, 5MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. Sadly, it will drop the Telephoto lens from the 7T. For selfies, OnePlus has already confirmed that the device will have a wide-angle lens for selfies. And, if reports are true it will have a 16MP sensor. We can expect camera features like Nightscape, PDAF, steady-video, 4K recording, and more.

Other specifications include a 4,500mAh battery with 65W Warp Charging probably with a Type-C to Type-C connectivity, in-display fingerprint scanner, and 45W PD charging. The device will also come with OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 out-of-the-box.

Expected Price, and Availability

The OnePlus 8T is expected to be priced at $599 for 8/128GB and $699 for 12/256GB variants. However, OnePlus can vary it across regions as it usually does. That said, the device will be officially sold via OnePlus’ website, Amazon, and its offline stores. However, Let’s wait for the official details on availability until next Wednesday.

OnePlus 8T is due for launch on October 14. Apart from the official teasers, leaks keep pouring in for the device to reveal more features. And now, the latest leaks by tipsters reveals camera sensors and dimensions of the 8T. If reports are true, the device will be slightly taller and thicker than its predecessor, and OnePlus 8.

The new Leaks come from tipsters Steve(@Onleaks) and Yogesh(@heyitsyogesh) on Twitter. According to Steve, OnePlus 8T will have a rough dimension of 162.8×75.5×8.4mm. This means the thickness of the device would be around 8.4mm. Also, Steve says that the thickness will increase to 9.3mm when you add the rear-camera bump into the equation. That’s almost an mm increase in thickness and you can imagine how the bump would look like.

Having said that, the Oneplus 8T seems a bit thicker than OnePlus 8‘s 8.0mm and its predecessor, the OnePlus 7T‘s 8.13mm. In fact, if reports are true, its thickness is quite similar to the OnePlus 8 Pro. This is understandable considering its battery will most likely be 4,500mAh battery and similar to the 8 Pro.

Moving on, another leak by Yogesh suggests that the Oneplus 8T will have a 48MP Sony’s IMX 586 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture including OIS, EIS similar to the 7T. It will reportedly have a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide with 116˚ FOV(Field of View) sensor. However, it looks like 8T will ditch the Telephoto lens found on the 7T and instead have 5MP f/2.4 macro and 2MP f/2.4 depth sensors to complete the setup.

That said, the company is yet to officially confirm these specifications. Besides, the device is said to retain the 16MP Sony’s IMX 471 from the 7T for selfies. It will be interesting to see how OnePlus defends the image quality with optimization considering the main sensors are pretty much the same. By now, we are familiar with the possible Specifications of the OnePlus 8T. It will have a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 865 SoC, 4,500mAh battery with 65W charging, RAM up to 12GB, and 128/256GB storage.

It is official. OnePlus has sent us a press release confirming that its next flagship called the Oneplus 8T 5G will launch on October 14.

OnePlus says the new phone “will feature a range of new and improved technologies that will elevate the OnePlus experience to new heights”. The launch will begin at 7:30 PM IST and will be live-streamed on the OnePlus India official website.

The event page includes a teaser video that gives us a glimpse of the phone and its flat display. This confirms that OnePlus has indeed dropped the curved display of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.

The image also shows the phone will come in a silver colorway.

The OnePlus 8T 5G has been reported to have an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There is a punch hole in the screen for a camera said to be a 32MP sensor just like the main selfie camera on the OnePlus Nord.
