If you are an avid reader of our website, you probably know everything about the upcoming OnePlus 8T by now. And, to top it off, a new port by XDA member linuxct allows you to download and use it’s live wallpapers a couple of days before the launch.

The new OnePlus 8T live wallpapers are seemingly tested on Sony Xperia XZ Premium running on Android 9 Pie. Also, they are forced to run at 4K resolution that is supported by the Sony smartphone. That said, the report says, the wallpaper will work on devices running Android 8.0 and above. The XDA member has extracted three wallpapers in total- OxygenOS 11, and two OnePlus 8T’s live wallpapers. While the OxygenOS 11 wallpaper has purple accents, the 8T’s wallpapers have a mix of Green, and Silver on their own.

As you can see from the thread above, the wallpapers rotate horizontally responding to the swipe. And, on locking and unlocking the device, the arc shades inside the wallpaper close and open accordingly. This is a cool new addition and the transitions look great. Further, the wallpapers also have colors that can change dynamically according to the time of the day.

That said, the live wallpapers are identical to the static ones that were available almost a week before. Additionally, the wallpapers are reportedly rendered using OpenGL. For the unware, OpenGL® is a cross-platform graphics API(Application Programming Interface). Hence, the live wallpapers might work well only on devices with good OpenGL performance.

Nevertheless, if you are eager to try it out, you can download the APK from APKMirror. After installing the APK, you can head over to your device’s wallpaper settings or use the Google Wallpapers app to find and select them. OnePlus will unveil the OnePlus 8T on October 14. The device will have a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 865, 4,500mAh battery, 65W charging, and more.

OnePlus is gearing up for launching the OnePlus 8T on October 14. Ahead of this, we almost know everything about the device, including its renders and specifications. And now, thanks to a member of XDA, we have new wallpapers of OnePlus. And, it could possibly debut with the OnePlus 8T.

One of XDA’s Senior member has found out a new version (v. 2.0.1.200916023912) of OnePlus’ wallpaper resources. And folks at XDA believe that these new wallpapers will debut with the OnePlus 8T. This is because the names of the wallpapers have a “k” at the end and the JSON config files “kebab”. Previous rumors suggest that OnePlus 8T’s internal codename could be “kebab”. Also, for the unware, the JSON config file is the configuration details that are defined to deploy the version of an app with Admin API.

Besides, OnePlus reportedly appends the file-names of wallpapers with device codenames, and hence, these are most likely the ones that will debut with the device.
