<p>Chinese tech giant and BBK subsidiary OnePlus <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/13/oneplus-ace-2v-sale-china/">officially launched</a> the Ace 2V smartphone in China in March this year. The<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-2v/"> OnePlus Ace 2V</a> is a premium mid-range mobile phone with a sleek design and a powerful specs lineup. The phone breaks off from speculations that it will be a oned-down variant of the regular <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-2/">OnePlus Ace 2</a>, to carve a unique name for itself. It seems <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus">OnePlus</a> isn&#8217;t ready to end the uniqueness of the device as it has now announced a new storage version for the phone. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/oneplus-ace-2v-2-1024x475.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus Ace 2V" class="wp-image-538689" width="949" height="440" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/oneplus-ace-2v-2-1024x475.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/oneplus-ace-2v-2-300x139.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/oneplus-ace-2v-2-768x357.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/oneplus-ace-2v-2-696x323.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/oneplus-ace-2v-2-1068x496.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/oneplus-ace-2v-2-905x420.jpg 905w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/oneplus-ace-2v-2.jpg 1120w" sizes="(max-width: 949px) 100vw, 949px" /></figure>

<p>The OnePlus Ace 2V has now gotten a new variant with 1TB of storage paired with 16GB RAM. The model is even pocket-friendly, bearing a price tag of 2999 yuan ($426). The new variant is expected to go on sale at 20:00 on May 31st in China. OnePlus is yet to release details of its global rollout. The phone will get a 200 yuan discount for 618, bring down the price to 2,799 yuan ($398).</p>

<p>The OnePlus Ace 2V was originally launched in three memory configurations &#8211; 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, and 16GB + 512GB storage. Interestingly, the 1TB version will sell for same price as the 512GB version during the 618 sales next month.</p>

<p>Competition is heating up in the mid-range smartphone space in 2023 as today, Xiaomi has finally unveiled the company’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/28/redmi-note-12-turbo-with-snapdragon-7-gen-2-120hz-display-launched/">highly anticipated Redmi Note 12 Turbo</a> in China today to challenge the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/07/oneplus-ace-2v-launch-price-specs/">OnePlus Ace 2V</a>. Priced competitively against the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus/">OnePlus</a>, Xiaomi even announced in the launch event that the company is waging a price war against its competitors in China for 2023.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="690" height="460" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Xiaomi-Group-President-War-with-OnePlus.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-525783" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Xiaomi-Group-President-War-with-OnePlus.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Xiaomi-Group-President-War-with-OnePlus-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Xiaomi-Group-President-War-with-OnePlus-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /><figcaption>“If it&#8217;s a war you want, then let the smartphone price wars begin.” presented by Xiaomi Group President, Gizmochina: Leo Wong DQ</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The announcement comes from <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a> Group President and Redmi brand General Manager, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/26/flagship-smartphone-experience-redmi-note-12-turbo/">Lu Weibing</a> at the launch event in China today. The translated version of the “price war declaration” by the Xiaomi Group President was that “If it&#8217;s a war you want, then let the smartphone price wars begin.” Xiaomi welcomes its competitors in China, to undercut its Redmi Note 12 Turbo with better performance at more affordable prices. The brand believes that healthy competition is needed to advance smartphone innovation in the industry.</p>

<p>Launched today, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/28/redmi-note-12-turbo-with-snapdragon-7-gen-2-120hz-display-launched/">the Redmi Note 12 Turbo</a> packs the latest <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/17/qualcomm-snapdragon-7-gen-2-announced-confirmed-to-power-redmi-note-12-turbo-and-realme-gt-neo-5-se/">Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 </a>chipset from Qualcomm, on par with the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC found in the Realme GT Neo 5 and better than the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 found on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus/">OnePlus</a> Ace 2V. It sports up to 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB UFS 3.1 storage. <p>Recent statistics show that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/13/xiaomi-inventory-levels-signal-trouble-android-market/">current smartphone sales are going on a downtrend</a> as of 2023, and one of the reasons why is that smartphone upgrades were not as attractive as they used to be. So is it because smartphone manufacturers are not offering what the smartphone market demands? Recent sentiments among smartphone users say that there are 3 things we wish all smartphones will improve in the next 5 years – longer battery life, bigger storage space and better durability.</p>

<ol><li><strong>Longer battery life</strong></li></ol>

<p>First on the list is longer battery life. With the increasing demands on our smartphones – from streaming videos to playing video games to using GPS – it’s no surprise that smartphone battery life is a top concern. Users want to be able to use their phones all day without worrying about running out of juice. Manufacturers have responded with larger batteries and more efficient processors like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-gen-2/">Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2</a>, but there’s still room for more improvement in the coming years, considering that companies like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/07/xiaomi-solid-state-battery/">Xiaomi have successfully developed solid-state batteries</a> for more battery capacity.</p>

<ol start="2"><li><strong>Bigger storage space</strong></li></ol>

<p>Next up is bigger storage space. As we take more photos and videos and download more apps and music, our phones’ storage fills up quickly, especially if your device comes with lower than 256GB nowadays. Users want to be able to store all their content without having to constantly delete files or move them to the cloud. <a href="https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&amp;&amp;p=e1e8ceef95f5111bJmltdHM9MTY3ODY2NTYwMCZpZ3VpZD0wMzg0YTUyYS01MjZhLTZhZWMtMjk2Zi1iNzk3NTNjMzZiMWImaW5zaWQ9NTE2Ng&amp;ptn=3&amp;hsh=3&amp;fclid=0384a52a-526a-6aec-296f-b79753c36b1b&amp;psq=redmi+gizmochina+archives&amp;u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2l6bW9jaGluYS5jb20vY2F0ZWdvcnkvcmVkbWkv&amp;ntb=1">Some manufacturers</a> offer phones with expandable storage options or large built-in storage capacities for their base models, but many users still find themselves running out of space.</p>

<ol start="3"><li><strong>Better Durability</strong></li></ol>

<p>Finally, users want better durability. Smartphones are expensive investments purchased and users want them to last. They want phones that can withstand drops and spills without breaking or malfunctioning. Manufacturers have responded with tougher materials like metal frames, strengthened drop-resistant <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/redmi/">Corning Gorilla Victus Glass Protection</a> and water-resistant IP68-rated designs. Although accidents still happen, users would have better peace of mind if their device is better protected against accidents.</p>

<p>These three features – longer battery life, bigger storage space and better durability – are at the top of smartphone users’ wishlists. It’s clear that users want more from their devices and manufacturers would do well to listen to increase their sales.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="667" height="636" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Screenshot-2023-03-09-000159.png?x44794" alt="OnePlus Ace 2V" class="wp-image-521028" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Screenshot-2023-03-09-000159.png 667w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Screenshot-2023-03-09-000159-300x286.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Screenshot-2023-03-09-000159-440x420.png 440w" sizes="(max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px" /><figcaption>OnePlus Ace 2V</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Speaking of these features, OnePlus recently released their latest affordable mid-ranger, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/07/oneplus-ace-2v-launch-price-specs/">OnePlus Ace 2V </a>in China, with a large 5000 mAh battery, MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9000 SoC, a flagship-grade metal frame, and a 120Hz AMOLED display. It is available with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.</p>

<p>If you are interested in the OnePlus Ace 2V, you can pre-order one yourself today at <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/08/oneplus-ace-2v-is-available-for-pre-order-on-giztop/">Giztop starting from only 399 USD</a> for the 256GB storage option.</p>

<p>Although 5G was only <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/05/13/qualcomm-says-first-5g-smartphones-may-come-in-2018/">introduced less than 5 years ago</a>, implementation has only really started picking up steam recently in countries such as the United States, Europe and India. The race for <a href="https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&amp;&amp;p=887ec9664ff40fa3JmltdHM9MTY3ODQ5MjgwMCZpZ3VpZD0wMzg0YTUyYS01MjZhLTZhZWMtMjk2Zi1iNzk3NTNjMzZiMWImaW5zaWQ9NTE4NA&amp;ptn=3&amp;hsh=3&amp;fclid=0384a52a-526a-6aec-296f-b79753c36b1b&amp;psq=5g+archives+gizmochina&amp;u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2l6bW9jaGluYS5jb20vdGFnLzVnLw&amp;ntb=1">5G technology</a> is on and with it comes a new era of innovation and transformation in the smartphone industry. So these are the 3 ways 5G will transform the smartphone market in the next 5 years.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="724" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/5g-technology-smartphone-1024x724.webp?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-521847" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/5g-technology-smartphone-1024x724.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/5g-technology-smartphone-300x212.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/5g-technology-smartphone-768x543.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/5g-technology-smartphone-1536x1086.webp 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/5g-technology-smartphone-2048x1448.webp 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/5g-technology-smartphone-696x492.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/5g-technology-smartphone-1068x755.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/5g-technology-smartphone-1920x1358.webp 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/5g-technology-smartphone-594x420.webp 594w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/5g-technology-smartphone-100x70.webp 100w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption> 5G Graphic, Source: Vecteezy</figcaption></figure></div>

<ol><li><strong>Better Smartphone Technology</strong></li></ol>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/5g/">5G technology</a> will usher in a new era of smartphone technology. The low latency properties of 5G networks and improved download and upload data speeds will likely result in the mass adoption of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/vr/">virtual reality (VR)</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/07/nubia-neovision-glass-launch/">mixed reality (XR)</a> and augmented reality (AR) applications. These technologies have been around for some time but have been limited by the capabilities of current mobile networks. With 5G, users can expect to see more immersive and interactive experiences on their smartphones.</p>

<ol start="2"><li><strong>Larger 5G coverage&nbsp;</strong></li></ol>

<p>5G will start to make an impact on the telecoms industry. Nearly all commercial <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/5g/">5G deployments</a> to date have relied on non-standalone 5G (NSA 5G), which uses new radio technologies but still relies on existing network infrastructure. This means that telecom giants can deploy 5G today by leveraging the ecosystem and models in place for mobile broadband and enhanced mobile broadband while extending with more powerful cellular network connectivity. In turn, there will be larger and wider 5G coverage, meaning smartphones will not only be able to faster internet but stay on faster Internet for longer as well.</p>

<ol start="3"><li><strong>Smartphone Affordability</strong></li></ol>

<p>With prices for premium <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/5g/">5G smartphones</a> expected to be up to 1000 USD for millions of customers, this applies significant pressure on telcos’ balance sheets. Up to 10 per cent of it can be tied up in receivables for smartphone-related affordability options. This could result in telcos offering more attractive financing options for customers looking to upgrade to a new 5G smartphone. And likewise, to appease telco companies, smartphone companies will be releasing more affordable 5G smartphones to the public as well.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="667" height="636" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Screenshot-2023-03-09-000159.png?x44794" alt="OnePlus Ace 2V" class="wp-image-521028" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Screenshot-2023-03-09-000159.png 667w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Screenshot-2023-03-09-000159-300x286.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Screenshot-2023-03-09-000159-440x420.png 440w" sizes="(max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px" /><figcaption>OnePlus Ace 2V</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>OnePlus, recently <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/07/oneplus-ace-2v-launch-price-specs/">announced the OnePlus Ace 2V</a>, an relatively affordable 5G lower mid-range smartphone that features MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9000 SoC, a metal frame, and a 120Hz AMOLED display. <p>But for now, let’s check out what the first model in the lineup <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/04/oneplus-ace-2v-specs-roundup/">has to offer</a>.</p>

<p>As <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mwc-2023/">Mobile World Congress 2023</a> has ended, smartphone launches should ideally slow down for a while. But that’s not happening. Three brands have confirmed to unveil new devices in the next few days.</p>

<p>All of these companies are Chinese and two of the launches will take place in their home market. The brands we are talking about are <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/Realme/">Realme</a>, Nubia, and OnePlus.</p>

<p>Realme will debut a budget smartphone in Indonesia. Whereas, in China, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/Nubia/">Nubia</a> will announce its flagship smartphone and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/OnePlus/">OnePlus </a>will take wraps of an upper mid-range smartphone.</p>

<p>With that out of the way, let’s take a look at these handsets one by one.</p>

<h2><strong>Upcoming Smartphones Next Week</strong></h2>

<h3><strong>Realme C55</strong></h3>

<p>The Realme C55 <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/01/realme-c55-debut-indonesia-march-7/">will launch</a> in Indonesia on March 7. It will be announced in a live stream at 1 PM WIB. The device will be even available for purchase on the next day (March 8) via a flash sale at 12 PM WIB.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Realme-C55-Front-and-Back-e1677835455803-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="Realme C55" class="wp-image-519404" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Realme-C55-Front-and-Back-e1677835455803-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Realme-C55-Front-and-Back-e1677835455803-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Realme-C55-Front-and-Back-e1677835455803-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Realme-C55-Front-and-Back-e1677835455803-1536x863.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Realme-C55-Front-and-Back-e1677835455803-696x391.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Realme-C55-Front-and-Back-e1677835455803-1068x600.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Realme-C55-Front-and-Back-e1677835455803-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Realme-C55-Front-and-Back-e1677835455803.png 1555w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus</a> is set to unveil its latest smartphone, the OnePlus Ace 2V, on March 7 in China. The company has been teasing its features on Weibo, including the new &#8220;Game Cloud Computing Private Network Technology&#8221; which was first introduced in the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-11/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus 11</a>. This technology will solve network-related problems while playing games and reduce high latency times by almost 44% in weak network environments and 75% in congested online games.</p>

<p>The technology is powered by eight major cloud computing centers around the world and more than 100,000 self-owned servers. The game data runs on a nanosecond level to complete all relative tasks, such as data identification, calculation, fusion, transmission, and more. This requires a powerful cloud computing structure to effectively complete these tasks.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="576" height="1024" data-id="519488" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/OnePlus-Ace-2V-League-of-Legends-576x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus Ace 2V gaming feature" class="wp-image-519488" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/OnePlus-Ace-2V-League-of-Legends-576x1024.jpg 576w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/OnePlus-Ace-2V-League-of-Legends-169x300.jpg 169w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/OnePlus-Ace-2V-League-of-Legends-236x420.jpg 236w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/OnePlus-Ace-2V-League-of-Legends.jpg 690w" sizes="(max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="576" height="1024" data-id="519489" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/OnePlus-Ace-2V-cloud-computing-network-576x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus Ace 2V gaming feature" class="wp-image-519489" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/OnePlus-Ace-2V-cloud-computing-network-576x1024.jpg 576w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/OnePlus-Ace-2V-cloud-computing-network-169x300.jpg 169w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/OnePlus-Ace-2V-cloud-computing-network-236x420.jpg 236w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/OnePlus-Ace-2V-cloud-computing-network.jpg 690w" sizes="(max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px" /></figure>
</figure>

<p>OnePlus teased that the device supports 120 frames in the popular mobile game, &#8220;League of Legends,&#8221; with an average of 119.14 frames per hour without sacrificing brightness. This means that gamers can enjoy a near-full frame stable and high frame experience, enhancing their gameplay and overall user experience.</p>

<p>According to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/02/oneplus-ace-2v-configurations-revealed-lpddr5x-ram-ufs-3-1-storage-confirmed/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">reports</a>, the Ace 2V equips <a href="https://www.gimzochina.com/tag/dimensity-9000" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Dimensity 9000 chipset</a>, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. Its base variant will come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the highest configuration will have 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.</p>

<p>The phone will have a 6.74-inch OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging, and a 16-megapixel front camera and OIS-enabled 64-megapixel triple rear cameras. The device will ship with OxygenOS 13-based Android 13 OS.</p>

<p>It is speculated that the base model of the Ace 2V could be priced at CNY 2,399 ($349). While the global market will not be getting the Ace 2V, recent <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/28/oneplus-nord-3-launch-timeline-unveiled/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">leaks</a> suggest that the phone will be rebranded as the OnePlus Nord 3 for the global market and will be announced in July.</p>

<p>Overall, the OnePlus Ace 2V promises to deliver a standard gaming experience to its users over its predecessors. With its powerful cloud computing structure and network-dedicated line, it aims to provide a smooth and uninterrupted gaming experience, even in weak network environments.</p>

To keep its audience intrigued, the company has been using its Weibo account to confirm the phone&#8217;s significant features. The company has already confirmed that the Ace 2V has the Dimensity 9000 chipset and large heat dissipation. In a Weibo poster, the company confirmed that it has LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Li Jie Louis, the president of OnePlus China, also shared a poster that showed the Ace 2V&#8217;s basic and best configurations (via. <em><a href="https://www.techgoing.com/oneplus-ace-2v-base-and-highest-configurations-revealed/">TechGoing</a>)</em>.</p>

<p>In contrast to other mid-range phones in the market, the OnePlus Ace 2V&#8217;s base variant will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and the company has confirmed that it will not be offering an 8GB+128GB configuration. This information was released by the company on its Weibo account. Additionally, the highest configuration of the phone will have 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is unclear whether the Ace 2V will be offered in other configurations.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gimzochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-2">OnePlus Ace 2</a>, which was launched in China in February and is powered by <a href="https://www.gimzochina.com/tag/snadpragon-8-plus-gen-1">Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1</a>, also comes in 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 256GB configurations.</p>

<p>It is likely that the Ace 2V with the <a href="https://www.gimzochina.com/tag/dimensity-9000">Dimensity 9000</a> chipset will be positioned lower than the Ace 2. The Ace 2’s base model is priced at 2,799 Yuan (~$407). This has sparked speculation that the base model of the Ace 2V could be priced at CNY 2,399 (~$349).</p>

<p>Reports have revealed that the OnePlus Ace 2V has a 6.74-inch OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will have a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging. The Ace 2V will also come with a 16-megapixel front camera and OIS-enabled 64-megapixel triple rear cameras. The device will ship with OxygenOS 13-based Android 13 OS.</p>

<p>It seems that the global market will not be getting the Ace 2V. Instead, the phone will be rebranded as the OnePlus Nord 3 for the global market, according to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/28/oneplus-nord-3-launch-timeline-unveiled/">recent leaks</a>. The Nord 3 is rumored to be announced in July.</p>

<p>For those unaware, the Dimensity 9000 chipset was launched by MediaTek in 2021 to butt heads against the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It provided flagship-grade performance and excellent efficiency. The Ace 2V smartphone was recently spotted on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/27/oneplus-ace-2-dimensity-edition-antutu-performance/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">AnTuTu benchmark</a> revealing its performance. We compared it to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-clad OnePlus Ace 2 and found out that the device was 9% behind in overall performance. The CPU performance is almost similar, however, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is 12% better when it comes to GPU performance.</p>

<p>In addition to that, the company has revealed that the device will feature a new heat dissipation system made from &#8220;<em>ultra-high-performance graphite</em>&#8221; that covers an area of 4129mm².</p>

<p>Thanks to recent teasers, we already know what the device looks like. The upcoming OnePlus Ace 2V is expected to showcase the in-fashion boxy design with high-quality aluminum edges, typically seen in flagship models. Additionally, it will reintroduce the well-known alert slider, which has been absent in the recent mid-range offerings from the brand.</p>

<p>According to rumors, the OnePlus Ace 2V is expected to boast a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will be powered by the Dimensity 9000 chipset, coupled with 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone will also have a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.</p>

<p>In terms of camera, the device is said to feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a triple camera setup on the back, consisting of a 64-megapixel primary lens with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The OnePlus Ace 2V is expected to run on Android 13 OS with ColorOS 13 out-of-the-box. Some reports suggest that it will be rebranded as the Nord 3 for the global market.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus/">OnePlus</a> posted on its <a href="https://weibo.com/3871046669/Mv6eYk0aN">official Chinese Weibo</a> account today stating that it looks to forever change the mid-range smartphone market, as the upcoming OnePlus Ace 2V will be the brand’s first-ever mid-ranger to feature flagship-grade flat aluminium side-rails.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to OnePlus, the OnePlus Ace 2V features a metal and glass unibody design that will have flat flagship-grade aluminium side rails, along with a premium glass back to boot, similar to the style that Apple employs in its <a href="https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&amp;&amp;p=d3a019fcd719a3b1JmltdHM9MTY3NzU0MjQwMCZpZ3VpZD0wMzg0YTUyYS01MjZhLTZhZWMtMjk2Zi1iNzk3NTNjMzZiMWImaW5zaWQ9NTE4MA&amp;ptn=3&amp;hsh=3&amp;fclid=0384a52a-526a-6aec-296f-b79753c36b1b&amp;psq=iphone+14+gizmochina&amp;u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2l6bW9jaGluYS5jb20vcHJvZHVjdC9hcHBsZS1pcGhvbmUtMTQv&amp;ntb=1">iPhone 14</a> series. The brand exclaims that current flagship killers in the smartphone space, always feature polycarbonate plastic rails that made the overall ergonomics of the smartphone worse, clearly implying that cost-cutting was done in the durability department. And the OnePlus Ace 2V aims to be the first premium-feeling flagship killer with flagship-grade materials to boot.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Bezels-674x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-519095" width="674" height="1024" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Bezels-674x1024.jpg 674w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Bezels-198x300.jpg 198w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Bezels-277x420.jpg 277w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Bezels.jpg 690w" sizes="(max-width: 674px) 100vw, 674px" /><figcaption>Thin bezels on the OnePlus Ace 2V</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Besides feeling good in the hands, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus/">OnePlus</a> Ace 2V is also advertised to be looking beautiful to the eyes, because of its narrow bezel. Louis Lee, CEO of OnePlus China, has shared a photo that the OnePlus Ace 2V will have side bezels as thin as 1.46mm, and a bottom chin bezel as thin as 2.31mm, for context that is comparable to flagships such as the <a href="https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&amp;&amp;p=f5c324456a70c1a8JmltdHM9MTY3NzU0MjQwMCZpZ3VpZD0wMzg0YTUyYS01MjZhLTZhZWMtMjk2Zi1iNzk3NTNjMzZiMWImaW5zaWQ9NTE3OA&amp;ptn=3&amp;hsh=3&amp;fclid=0384a52a-526a-6aec-296f-b79753c36b1b&amp;psq=xiaomi+13+product++gizmochina&amp;u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2l6bW9jaGluYS5jb20vcHJvZHVjdC94aWFvbWktMTMv&amp;ntb=1">Xiaomi 13</a>, <a href="https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&amp;&amp;p=d3a019fcd719a3b1JmltdHM9MTY3NzU0MjQwMCZpZ3VpZD0wMzg0YTUyYS01MjZhLTZhZWMtMjk2Zi1iNzk3NTNjMzZiMWImaW5zaWQ9NTE4MA&amp;ptn=3&amp;hsh=3&amp;fclid=0384a52a-526a-6aec-296f-b79753c36b1b&amp;psq=iphone+14+gizmochina&amp;u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2l6bW9jaGluYS5jb20vcHJvZHVjdC9hcHBsZS1pcGhvbmUtMTQv&amp;ntb=1">iPhone 14</a>, and Samsung Galaxy S23.</p>

<p>Louis also shared more details of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/28/oneplus-ace-2v-official-renders-video-showcase-design-color-variants/">OnePlus Ace 2V colour options</a>, the Mint Green option will feature a premium glossy green glass black similar to the Oppo Find X5 Pro, and the Charcoal Black option will feature a frosted matte black finish on the back, found on its flagships such as the OnePlus 10 Pro.</p>

<p>Lastly, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus/">OnePlus</a> announced that moving forward all of its future OnePlus Ace devices will be using flagship-grade aluminium for its side rails as well because it wants to set a high standard for durability and ergonomics in the flagship killer mid-range space.</p>

<p>According to reports, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus/">OnePlus</a> Ace 2V will have a 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will feature the Dimensity 9000 chipset, 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging support. It is also reported previously to be launching in the global markets as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/23/oneplus-nord-3-specs-leak-launch-by-july/">OnePlus Nord 3 in July 2023</a>.</p>

<p>After <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/27/oneplus-ace-2v-teaser-official/">confirmation that OnePlus’ next device</a> will indeed be called the OnePlus Ace 2V, a new image reveals how the upcoming device will look.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="885" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Renders-885x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-518835" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Renders-885x1024.jpg 885w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Renders-259x300.jpg 259w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Renders-768x889.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Renders-696x805.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Renders-363x420.jpg 363w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Renders.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 885px) 100vw, 885px" /><figcaption>OnePlus Ace 2V</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The official images give us a clear look at the upcoming smartphone’s design, as it features the iconic <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus/">OnePlus</a> alert slider, as well as a large design departure from the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-2/">OnePlus Ace 2</a> that was announced this month.</p>

<p>The OnePlus Ace 2V shares design similarities to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-nord-2t/">OnePlus Nord 2T</a> last year. It will be featuring a flat 120Hz AMOLED display with a centred punch-hole cutout in the middle, along with flat sides for a better grip in hand. The back of the OnePlus Ace 2V will be featuring a triple camera setup that is accompanied by a dual flash module, supposedly for better flash photography.</p>

<p>The official image also confirms that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus/">OnePlus</a> Ace 2V will be arriving in at least 2 colours, the glossy Jade Green as shown in the image, and a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/25/oneplus-ace-2-dimensity-editon-leaks/">black colour design as leaked earlier by Digital Chat Station.</a> </p>

<p>The launch timeline of the OnePlus Ace 2V in China was also leaked as well, as the device will be officially launching in China on March 7 at 2:30pm GMT+8. In addition, a pre-reservation of the device is expected to go live tomorrow at February 28 10:00am GMT +8 in the country.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="333" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Launch-Timeline.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-518819" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Launch-Timeline.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Launch-Timeline-300x98.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Launch-Timeline-768x250.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-Launch-Timeline-696x226.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Pre-reservation and launch date in China</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The OnePlus Ace 2V is rumoured to be rebranded to arrive to global markets as OnePlus Nord 3. However, a global launch date for the OnePlus Nord 3 is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/23/oneplus-nord-3-specs-leak-launch-by-july/">previously rumoured to be in July 2023</a>.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/27/oneplus-ace-2v-teaser-official/">As of previous leaks on Antutu</a>, the OnePlus Ace 2V will come with a flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, LPDDR5 / 5x RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and Android 13 on board.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus</a> is gearing up to launch its third smartphone of the year in China, the OnePlus Ace 2V. The OnePlus president has teased the device, and also confirmed the official name on Weibo.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="576" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-teaser-576x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus Ace 2V teaser" class="wp-image-518731" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-teaser-576x1024.jpg 576w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-teaser-169x300.jpg 169w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-teaser-236x420.jpg 236w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OnePlus-Ace-2V-teaser.jpg 690w" sizes="(max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px" /></figure></div>

<p>This latest device is being touted as a performance winner that will “disrupt industry conventions and popularize the flagship experience”. The device has already appeared on AnTuTu and TENAA with the model number PHP110 and has revealed some of its key specifications.</p>

<p>According to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/27/oneplus-ace-2-dimensity-edition-antutu-performance/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">AnTuTu listing</a>, the OnePlus Ace 2V will come with a 120Hz display, a Dimensity 9000 chipset, LPDDR5 / 5x RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and Android 13 OS. The device has achieved a total score of 1,050,512 on the AnTuTu benchmarks, with impressive scores in the CPU, GPU, memory, and UX tests.</p>

<p>Rumors have suggested that the OnePlus Ace 2V will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED 1.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will pack a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W charging, and it will have a triple-camera setup on the back, including a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro snapper. The device will also have a 16-megapixel front camera.</p>

<p>OnePlus is set to launch the Ace 2V in China on March 7, and it is expected to be rebranded as the OnePlus Nord 3 in the global market.</p>

<p>The OnePlus Ace 2V will feature a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mediatek/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MediaTek chipset</a>, which is likely to be the Dimensity 9000 or the 9000+ version. The device will have a totally different design compared to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ace 2</a> with a Qualcomm processor, featuring a renewed back cover and a triple camera setup inserted in a double rear module. It will also have a large display with a central punch hole and an almost square perimeter frame with slightly rounded corners. The Alert Slider, one of the flagship features of the brand, will be present along the right profile.</p>

<p>OnePlus fans will be eagerly awaiting the launch of the Ace 2V, and it remains to be seen whether it will live up to the company&#8217;s promises of disrupting industry conventions and delivering a flagship experience.</p>
