<p>Gaming phones have become more specialized in 2026. Brands are now focusing on larger batteries, dedicated gaming chips, high-refresh-rate displays, advanced cooling systems, and software features that improve frame rates, touch response, and streaming. In May 2026, Red Magic, iQOO, and OnePlus have some of the strongest options for mobile gamers.</p>

<p>The current list includes purpose-built gaming phones such as the Red Magic 11s Pro and Red Magic 11 Pro, performance flagships such as the OnePlus 15, and value-focused gaming devices such as the iQOO 15R and OnePlus 15R. Here are the best gaming phones to consider in May 2026.</p>

<h3><strong>OnePlus 15</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/OnePlus-15-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="OnePlus 15" class="wp-image-713013" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/OnePlus-15-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/OnePlus-15-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/OnePlus-15-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/OnePlus-15-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/OnePlus-15-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/OnePlus-15-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/OnePlus-15.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-15/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus 15</a> is a mainstream flagship with strong gaming features. The phone uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra+ RAM, and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. It runs OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, and OnePlus promises four major Android updates and six years of security patches.</p>

<p>The phone has a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED LTPO display. The panel supports normal adaptive refresh rates and up to 165Hz refresh rate for gaming. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oneplus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus</a> says supported games include titles such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Brawl Stars, and Clash of Clans. The phone also has a dedicated touch response chip with 3200Hz touch sampling.</p>

<p>The OnePlus 15 uses a 360-degree Cryo-Velocity Cooling System. The system includes a 5731mm² 3D vapor chamber, an aerogel insulation layer, and a graphite back cover for heat distribution.</p>

<p>The phone has a 7300mAh Silicon NanoStack battery with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It also has IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. The triple rear camera system includes three 50MP cameras, which makes the OnePlus 15 a more balanced phone than most gaming-first models.</p>

<h3><strong>OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="521" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Strix-Gaming-Controller-2-1024x521.png?x44794" alt="OnePlus Strix Gaming Controller" class="wp-image-736580" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Strix-Gaming-Controller-2-1024x521.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Strix-Gaming-Controller-2-300x153.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Strix-Gaming-Controller-2-768x391.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Strix-Gaming-Controller-2-696x354.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Strix-Gaming-Controller-2-1068x544.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Strix-Gaming-Controller-2-825x420.png 825w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Strix-Gaming-Controller-2.png 1483w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-6-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra</a> fits into this list as the brand’s more gaming-focused alternative to the OnePlus 15. It is currently aimed at the Chinese market, but its hardware makes it one of the strongest esports phones in OnePlus’ lineup.</p>

<p>The phone uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. It has a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE AMOLED display with up to a 165Hz refresh rate. The Lingxi Touch Core raises instantaneous touch sampling to 4000Hz, which gives the phone a stronger focus on fast input response than the standard OnePlus 15.</p>

<p>OnePlus has also tuned the Ace 6 Ultra for sustained gaming. The phone uses the company’s Wind Chaser Gaming Kernel and next-generation Glacier Cooling System. OnePlus says it can average 164.7fps in Delta Force at the highest graphics settings. The software also includes shooting-game tools such as display enhancement, footstep sound enhancement, and an assist crosshair.</p>

<p>The phone’s biggest advantage is battery life. It packs an 8600mAh dual-cell battery with 120W SuperVOOC charging, which gives it the largest battery on this list. It also has IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. The optional <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/29/everything-you-need-to-know-about-oneplus-first-gaming-controller/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Gunfire Gaming Controller</a> adds mechanical triggers, a 1.8ms response time, an esports chip, and support for magnetic heat-sink expansion.</p>

<h3><strong>Red Magic 11 Air</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="585" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Red-Magic-11-Air-1024x585.png?x44794" alt="Red Magic 11 Air" class="wp-image-730320" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Red-Magic-11-Air-1024x585.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Red-Magic-11-Air-300x171.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Red-Magic-11-Air-768x439.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Red-Magic-11-Air-696x398.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Red-Magic-11-Air-1068x610.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Red-Magic-11-Air-735x420.png 735w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Red-Magic-11-Air.png 1209w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/red-magic-11-air/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Red Magic 11 Air</a> is a slimmer gaming phone that still keeps many gaming-focused features. The phone measures 7.85mm thick and weighs 207g, which makes it lighter than the Red Magic 11 Pro models.</p>

<p>The phone has a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen supports 2592Hz PWM dimming, DC dimming, and a 95.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. It also uses a 16MP under-display camera, so users get a full-screen design.</p>

<p>The Red Magic 11 Air runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It also includes the Redcore R4 gaming chip, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The phone has shoulder triggers with a 520Hz touch response rate.</p>

<p>The cooling system includes an aerospace-grade aluminum air-cooling bracket, a Turbo Fan 4.0 active fan, a VC cooling system, and graphene copper foil. The phone has a 7000mAh battery with 120W fast charging and bypass charging support.</p>

<p>The Red Magic 11 Air is a good choice for gamers who want a thinner phone without giving up an active fan and dedicated gaming controls.</p>

<p>OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra was officially introduced at a press conference in China today. The device is a performance-focused phone built around MediaTek’s latest flagship silicon and a set of gaming-oriented features, including support for a dedicated external controller.</p>

<p>Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, manufactured on TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process. OnePlus says the chip uses an all-big-core CPU architecture, with a claimed 32% performance improvement and a 55% reduction in power consumption compared to the previous generation.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-Ace-Awakening-1024x1024.png?x44794" alt="OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra - Ace Awakening" class="wp-image-735576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-Ace-Awakening-1024x1024.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-Ace-Awakening-300x300.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-Ace-Awakening-150x150.png 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-Ace-Awakening-768x768.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-Ace-Awakening-696x696.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-Ace-Awakening-1068x1068.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-Ace-Awakening-420x420.png 420w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-Ace-Awakening.png 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra &#8211; Ace Awakening</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The company says the device can sustain high frame rates in demanding titles, including maintaining near-maximum output in scenarios with heavy on-screen effects.</p>

<p>OnePlus has also integrated its “Wind Chaser Gaming Kernel” at a deeper level, alongside a Glacier Cooling System and a 6000mm² vapor chamber. The company is framing this combination as a way to stabilize performance during extended gaming sessions. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra gaming controller" class="wp-image-735330" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra gaming controller</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>More impressively, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra also supports an optional “Strix Gaming Controller,” which has a joystick-free layout with mechanical trigger buttons rated at a 1.8ms response time. It also includes an independent e-sports chip and supports attachable magnetic cooling modules.</p>

<h2><strong>Display and others</strong></h2>

<p>On the front, the phone features a 6.78-inch LTPS OLED display supplied by BOE, with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The panel supports up to 4000Hz instantaneous touch sampling and high peak brightness levels.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Around the back, the camera system is relatively simple. It has a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, paired with a 16-megapixel front camera.</p>

<p>The hardware is backed by an 8600mAh dual-cell battery, with support for 120W wired charging and multiple fast-charging standards. The device runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16 and includes LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.</p>

<p>In terms of design, the phone uses a metal frame with large, rounded corners and a flat, cube-like camera module. It comes in “Ace Awakening” and “Metal Storm” finishes. The device also carries multiple ingress protection ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K.</p>

<p>The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is set to launch on April 28th, and in typical pre-release fashion, most of its key details have already surfaced online. For one final roundup, leaker <em>Digital Chat Station</em> has compiled what looks like a near-complete spec sheet ahead of the official unveiling. </p>

<p>Let’s walk through it. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OenPlus-Ace-6-Ultra-color-options-1024x683.png?x44794" alt="OenPlus Ace 6 Ultra" class="wp-image-735579" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OenPlus-Ace-6-Ultra-color-options-1024x683.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OenPlus-Ace-6-Ultra-color-options-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OenPlus-Ace-6-Ultra-color-options-768x512.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OenPlus-Ace-6-Ultra-color-options-696x464.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OenPlus-Ace-6-Ultra-color-options-1068x712.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OenPlus-Ace-6-Ultra-color-options-630x420.png 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OenPlus-Ace-6-Ultra-color-options.png 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>OenPlus Ace 6 Ultra </figcaption></figure></div>

<h2><strong>OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra Specifications (Expected)</strong></h2>

<p>The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is rumored to feature a 6.78-inch flat LTPS display from BOE with a 1.5K resolution and a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/15/oneplus-ace-6-ultra-design-confirmed/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">165Hz refresh rate</a>. Powering the phone will be a flagship <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9500" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MediaTek Dimensity 9500</a> chipset.</p>

<p>Up front, the device is said to house a 16MP camera, while the rear setup includes a 50MP main sensor (1/1.55-inch) paired with an 8MP ultra-wide. It’s a fairly functional camera system without much flair.</p>

<p>The battery, on the other hand, is hard to ignore. The Ace 6 Ultra is confirmed to pack an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/24/oneplus-ace-6-ultra-8600mah-battery-120w-fast-charging/#:~:text=OnePlus%20has%20started%20revealing%20key,in%20China%20on%20April%2028." target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">8600mAh dual-cell battery </a>with 120W fast charging. And of course, it&#8217;s a Si/C cell. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-battery-696x1237.jpg?x44794" alt="" /></figure></div>

<p>Combined with features like dual 1115W symmetrical speakers, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and IP66/68/69/69K ratings, the device seems engineered for durability and endurance.</p>

<p>Moreover, OnePlus has already confirmed that the Ace 6 Ultra will include a custom touch chip designed to reduce gaming latency. And perhaps more interestingly, the company has also developed a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/20/oneplus-ace-6-ultra-gaming-controller-launch-date/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">dedicated gaming controller</a>.</p>

<p>According to OnePlus, the optional controller features a touch-and-press integrated design that aims to bridge the gap between casual two-finger players and more advanced multi-finger setups.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" /></figure></div>

<p>Design-wise, the “Ace Awakening” color variant leans into a flat, almost industrial aesthetic, with a metal frame, a heat-insulating mid-frame structure, and exaggerated rounded corners. It will also be available in “Meta Storm,” which features a silk-textured back.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-6-ultra">OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra</a> is confirmed to feature a huge 8,600mAh Glacier Battery (silicon-carbon) paired with 120W fast charging support. According to the brand, the phone is designed to deliver strong endurance even during demanding gaming sessions. OnePlus claims the device can deliver up to 7.44 hours of continuous gaming at 165Hz high frame rate settings on a single charge. The company also says that charging the phone for just 10 minutes can provide enough power for around two hours of gaming.</p>

<p>The teasers also reveal that the smartphone will introduce Oppo&#8217;s self-developed Glacier Battery energy chip for the first time. OnePlus China President Li Jie said the chip improves power efficiency and low battery management, allowing the phone to maintain better stability when the battery percentage drops. </p>

The chip is also expected to help extend battery lifespan, with OnePlus claiming up to five years of long-term durability.</p>

The device is confirmed to use the MediaTek <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9500">Dimensity 9500</a> chipset and a 6.78-inch <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/15/oneplus-ace-6-ultra-design-confirmed/">165Hz OLED display</a> developed jointly with BOE. OnePlus claims this is the best display ever used in the Ace series in terms of gaming and visual quality.</p>

<p>The shared promotional material also highlights features such as a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, dual 1115W symmetrical speakers and IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings. The phone is also said to feature Oppo Crystal Shield glass protection with improved scratch and drop resistance.</p>

<p>Today, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oneplus">OnePlus</a> confirmed that the Ace 6 Ultra, a gaming-focused flagship phone, will debut in China on April 28. Alongside the smartphone, the brand has also unveiled a dedicated controller, pointing towards a more immersive mobile gaming experience. Here is a closer look at how it aims to elevate gameplay on the Ace 6 Ultra.</p>

<h3><strong>OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra gaming controller</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra gaming controller" class="wp-image-735330" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra gaming controller</figcaption></figure>

<p>OnePlus is positioning the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-6-ultra">Ace 6 Ultra</a> and its companion <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/19/oneplus-ace-6-ultras-add-on-gaming-controller-teased/">gaming controller</a> as a combined system designed specifically for shooter games. When used independently, the smartphone functions like a regular high-performance device. However, once attached to the controller, it transforms into a handheld console-like setup aimed at improving precision and comfort.</p>

<p>A key highlight of this setup is the addition of four physical buttons, enabling players to move beyond standard two-finger controls. This hybrid input system blends touch gestures with physical triggers, allowing more complex actions such as aiming, firing, and movement to happen simultaneously with better coordination.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="576" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller--576x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra gaming controller-" class="wp-image-735337" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller--576x1024.jpg 576w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller--169x300.jpg 169w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller--768x1365.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller--864x1536.jpg 864w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller--696x1237.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller--1068x1899.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller--236x420.jpg 236w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-Ace-6-Ultra-gaming-controller-.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px" /><figcaption>OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra gaming controller</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The controller is said to support a 1000Hz polling rate with extremely low latency response, which should translate into quicker in-game reactions. OnePlus is also focusing on making advanced multi-finger gameplay more accessible, helping casual players gradually improve their control techniques.</p>

<p>On the hardware side, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is expected to feature the Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with a 6.83-inch OLED 1.5K <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/15/oneplus-ace-6-ultra-design-confirmed/">165Hz display</a> that supports highly responsive touch input. The device is also tipped to include a large 8,600mAh battery, suggesting a strong emphasis on extended gaming sessions without frequent charging.</p>

<p>The previous-generation OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra flagships have remained exclusive to the Chinese market.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oneplus-2/">OnePlus</a> has already started teasing its next gaming-focused phone in China, and the latest one suggests the company might be trying something a bit different this time.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/004dYw4Bgy1ic9jxij5xvj60u01hchdt02-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-735283" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/004dYw4Bgy1ic9jxij5xvj60u01hchdt02-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/004dYw4Bgy1ic9jxij5xvj60u01hchdt02-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/004dYw4Bgy1ic9jxij5xvj60u01hchdt02-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/004dYw4Bgy1ic9jxij5xvj60u01hchdt02-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/004dYw4Bgy1ic9jxij5xvj60u01hchdt02-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/004dYw4Bgy1ic9jxij5xvj60u01hchdt02-746x420.jpg 746w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/004dYw4Bgy1ic9jxij5xvj60u01hchdt02.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Alongside the phone, OnePlus is teasing what it calls a “dream gear.” The name is vague, but the images make things a bit clearer. It appears to be a clip-on controller accessory designed to work with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/15/oneplus-ace-6-ultra-design-confirmed/">Ace 6 Ultra</a>, turning it into something closer to a handheld console.</p>

<p>From the teaser visuals, you can spot shoulder triggers, extra back buttons, and a layout that looks more like a proper controller rather than a basic add-on. The idea seems straightforward. Better control, less reliance on touch input, especially for fast-paced games.</p>

<p>There’s talk of a more “immersive” experience and “precise control,” but that’s about it for now. Things like customizable buttons, low-latency connection, or even hall-effect sticks haven’t been confirmed, though those would make sense for this kind of accessory.</p>

<p>This isn’t entirely new territory. Brands like Lenovo and Redmi have already tried similar add-ons, and there are plenty of third-party options as well. The difference here could come down to how well it’s integrated. It’s built specifically for the Ace 6 Ultra, so there’s a chance it feels more seamless than generic controllers.</p>

<p>There’s also an interesting bit of speculation going around. Recent rumors mentioned OnePlus working on a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/08/oneplus-gaming-handheld-android-console-lea/">dedicated gaming handheld</a>. Now it’s starting to look like this controller-plus-phone setup might be what those reports were actually referring to.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="563" height="324" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-19-102443.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-735292" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-19-102443.png 563w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-19-102443-300x173.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 563px) 100vw, 563px" /></figure></div>

<p>The Ace 6 Ultra is expected to launch later this month in China, so more details shouldn’t be too far away. Pricing and how well this “dream gear” actually works will probably decide whether this is just a nice extra or something people actually use regularly.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-6-ultra">OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra</a>&#8216;s black colour has been unveiled, featuring a layered texture created using a 3D light engraving process. The finish reflects light dynamically, giving the rear panel a shifting visual effect. A large “Ace” text is prominently engraved across the back panel, adding to its bold visual identity. The design also includes a simplified rectangular camera module and a striking vertical branding element.</p>

<p>The camera module has been flattened to avoid interference with finger placement, while a redesigned internal structure helps manage heat more effectively. The company has also refined the edges to improve long-duration grip, which is often a concern during extended gaming sessions.</p>

<p>On the front, the phone is expected to feature a 165Hz high refresh rate display developed in partnership with BOE. <p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oneplus-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus </a>may have just started teasing a new addition to its Ace lineup, likely the rumored OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra. The device has been circulating in leaks for weeks, but now there’s a more official signal that its launch might not be far off.</p>

<p>The hint comes from<em> Li Jie Louis</em>, President of OnePlus China, who recently suggested that a new “OnePlus Ace” phone is coming soon. While he didn’t explicitly name the Ace 6 Ultra, the timing lines up closely with recent certifications and leaks surrounding the device.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-ace-6-Ultra-launch-teaser.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-734137" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-ace-6-Ultra-launch-teaser.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-ace-6-Ultra-launch-teaser-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-ace-6-Ultra-launch-teaser-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-ace-6-Ultra-launch-teaser-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/OnePlus-ace-6-Ultra-launch-teaser-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>For instance, the phone recently appeared on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/03/30/oneplus-ace-6-ultra-165hz-dimensity-9500-8500mah-leak/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">China’s MIIT certification platform</a> with the model number PMB110. These regulatory listings don’t reveal much on their own, but they usually indicate that a launch is getting closer.</p>

<h2><strong>OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra specifications</strong></h2>

<p>On the hardware side, the phone could feature a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate.</p>

<p>As per previous reports, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra will have a 16-megapixel front camera. On the back, it is expected to include a 50-megapixel main camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="541" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Ace-6T-1024x541.webp?x44794" alt="OnePlus-Ace-6T" class="wp-image-717636" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Ace-6T-1024x541.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Ace-6T-300x159.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Ace-6T-768x406.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Ace-6T-1536x812.webp 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Ace-6T-696x368.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Ace-6T-1068x565.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Ace-6T-795x420.webp 795w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Ace-6T.webp 1748w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>OnePlus Ace 6T </figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Powering the device will likely be the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/23/mediatek-dimensity-9500-specs-benchmarks/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip </a>paired with an 8,500mAh battery. Memory options are said to include configurations such as 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. In terms of color options, the device may be available in Black and Titanium.</p>

<p>The Ace 6 Ultra is expected to go head-to-head with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/07/redmi-k90-max-confirmed-gaming-flagship-china/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi K90 Max</a>. The two are rumored to share the same chip, battery capacity, and refresh rate. Redmi has already started teasing the phone ahead of its expected launch this month.</p>

<p>As for global availability, it remains unclear whether the company plans to launch a tweaked version of the Ace 6 Ultra worldwide. In the past, a modified version of the Ace 6T was released globally under the OnePlus 15T moniker.</p>

<p>According to DCS, the OnePlus device bearing the model number PMB110 has been approved by China’s MIIT authority. This device is said to be the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-6-ultra/">Ace 6 Ultra</a> when it hits the Chinese market.</p>

<p>To recall, a modified version of the Ace 6T was released globally with the OnePlus 15T moniker. It is unclear whether the company plans to launch a tweaked version of the Ace 6 Ultra globally.</p>

<h3><strong>OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra key specs</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="198" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-158-1024x198.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-732597" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-158-1024x198.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-158-300x58.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-158-768x149.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-158-696x135.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-158-1068x207.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-158.png 1167w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>In terms of specifications, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.8-inch OLED panel that offers a 165Hz refresh rate. A leak by tipster Bald Panda reveals that it will feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9500">Dimensity 9500</a> SoC and a massive 8,500mAh battery. The rest of its specs are under wraps.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/03/29/redmi-k90-ultra-and-oneplus-ace-6-ultra-tipped-to-launch-in-april/">Rumors suggest</a> that it will rival the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k90-ultra">Redmi K90 Ultra</a>, which is also expected to feature a 165Hz display, a Dimensity 9500 chip, and an 8,500mAh battery. However, one differentiating feature between the two phones will be that the Redmi offering will have a built-in cooling fan for heat dissipation.</p>

Here’s a look at what to expect from the device.</p>

<h3><strong>OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra’s key details, launch timeline appear</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="438" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-103-1024x438.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-731511" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-103-1024x438.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-103-300x128.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-103-768x329.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-103-1536x657.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-103-696x298.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-103-1068x457.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-103-982x420.png 982w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-103.png 1545w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="464" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-104-1024x464.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-731513" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-104-1024x464.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-104-300x136.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-104-768x348.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-104-696x315.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-104-1068x484.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-104-927x420.png 927w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-104.png 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-6-ultra">OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra</a> will have a massive 6.8-inch display offering a 165Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9500">Dimensity 9500</a> chipset.</p>

<p>Tipster DCS claimed that the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra has already passed a certification in China, but did not reveal details about its model number. We have spotted a new Oppo/OnePlus phone with model number PMK110 in the database of China’s SRRC. It remains to be seen whether it is the upcoming OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra or something else.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="528" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-102-528x1024.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-731510" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-102-528x1024.png 528w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-102-155x300.png 155w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-102-217x420.png 217w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-102.png 612w" sizes="(max-width: 528px) 100vw, 528px" /><figcaption>Oppo / OnePlus PKM110 SRRC certified</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>This phone is expected to rival the Redmi K90 Ultra, a Dimensity 9500-powered performance-focused flagship phone, which is also expected to debut in April in China. At present, there is no clarity on whether the Ace 6 Ultra will be released globally.</p>

<h3><strong>New OnePlus tablets in works</strong></h3>

<p>OnePlus is currently working on two new tablets, such as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-pad-3-pro">OnePlus Pad 3 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-pad-mini">OnePlus Pad Mini</a>. These devices have also received an important certification in China, claims the tipster.</p>

<p>While the OnePlus Pad Mini will be a compact tablet featuring an 8.8-inch display and a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-gen-5">Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset</a>, the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro will be a larger model equipped with a 13.2-inch display and a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5</a> chipset. These devices are said to be based on the forthcoming Oppo Pad Mini and Pad 5 Pro, respectively.</p>

<p>These devices may debut alongside the OnePlus 15T / Ace 6 Ultra. </p>

<p>In the past few months, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oneplus">OnePlus</a> has launched a couple of new phones in China. In Q4 2025, the brand unveiled the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-15t">OnePlus 15</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-6t">Ace 6T</a>, and earlier this week, it announced the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-turbo-6">Turbo 6</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-turbo-6v">Turbo 6V</a>. All these phones are powered by different Snapdragon chipsets. Now, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the existence of a new Dimensity-powered flagship. Previously, the brand has used Dimensity chips to power its Ace-series phones. Therefore, the new leak could be related to an upcoming Ace 6-series phone.</p>

<h2><strong>Could it be the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra?</strong></h2>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="851" height="357" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/image-47.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-722829" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/image-47.png 851w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/image-47-300x126.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/image-47-768x322.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/image-47-696x292.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 851px) 100vw, 851px" /><figcaption>Alleged OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra specs leak</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>According to DCS, an upcoming sub-brand, performance-focused smartphone powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9500">Dimensity 9500</a> is already in the engineering stage. The prototype features a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS flat OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, large, rounded corners, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. It is said to include custom performance tuning, and the battery being tested currently starts with an “8”, with internal expectations of pushing it to a 9,000mAh-class capacity.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/image-48.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-722830" width="858" height="244" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/image-48.png 844w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/image-48-300x85.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/image-48-768x218.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/image-48-696x198.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 858px) 100vw, 858px" /><figcaption>No Dimensity 9500 Plus chip this year</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>DCS has also claimed that MediaTek has no plans to launch a Dimensity 9500 Plus chipset this year. For those who don’t know, the Plus edition was supposed to be an overclocked version of the existing Dimensity 9500. To recall, last year’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace-5-ultra">OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra</a> was powered by the Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset.</p>

<p>Considering that the upcoming OnePlus phone will feature the Dimensity 9500 chip instead of the 9500+, it appears that he could be talking about the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra. Since the Ace 5 Ultra was announced in May 2025, the Ace 6 Ultra may also debut around the same time this year.</p>
