OnePlus Nord 2T received a new update today, applying the June security patch. OnePlus introduced the Nord 2T in May 2021, initially debuting with Android 12. This means major Android upgrades for the Nord 2T have ended.

OnePlus promised 2 years of major Android upgrades and 3 years of security patches for OnePlus Nord 2T. Although the OnePlus Nord 2T won’t get more Android upgrades, we can say that it will continue receiving security patches for another year as we’re in 2024 June. The latest update focuses solely on security patches. According to a thread on the OnePlus Community, the OxygenOS 14.0.0.605 update is currently rolling out for Indian devices (Update version: CPH2401_14.0.0.605(EX01)).

The update is available in India and will expand to more regions soon. If you encounter any bugs after the update, OnePlus advises reporting them by dialing *#800#.

OnePlus is seeding a new firmware update for the OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G and OnePlus Nord 2T smartphones. Surprisingly, the firmware version of OxygenOS 14.0.0.300 for both smartphones is quite familiar. The similarity is also evident in the changelog, but still, there are slight differences in the changelog of both smartphones.

The new update brings the latest January 2024 security patch along with some other improvements, which in turn enhance the system’s stability and performance. There are certain improvements to enhance connectivity and even fix some issues.

OnePlus will be officially launching the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 on September 25, and the brand has already begun the open beta test on flagships like the OnePlus 11. OnePlus Nord 2T Closed Beta Program Requirements

To qualify, make sure you own the OnePlus Nord 2T Indian variant. Active participation in the OnePlus Community is also a requirement. You should be ready to consistently communicate and share feedback or suggestions with the OnePlus team through the Feedback APP. Additionally, your willingness to join our CBT Telegram group to engage in friendly and active communication with both the OnePlus team and fellow users is appreciated.

To maintain confidentiality, it’s essential to refrain from sharing the CBT installation package or any content related to the internal beta with individuals who are not part of the project team.

Before you make your mind up and jump onto the Closed Beta testing team, we would like to point out that there are some known issues with the current software build that might hamper the user experience. If the Nord 2T is your daily driver, we advise against downloading the beta build onto it. You can check the known issues below:

• When exporting photos shoot in succession, the thumbnails are grey, and clicking is not responsive.

OnePlus has been working on bringing the latest Android 13 update for a number of its smartphones. Now, the latest one to officially receive the OxygenOS 13 stable build is the Nord 2T.

Just a while back, we had reported on the Chinese smartphone maker rolling out the Android 13 OS based OxygenOS 13 Beta for the Nord 2T users in India. In other words, it was a limited beta release for the Indian region only and was also restricted to select number of users. But now, the brand is rolling out the stable build of the latest Android version, but unfortunately, this update is only available for download in India as well.

In other words, other regions should get the update soon after. This also marks the first major Android update since the device’s launch back in May 2022. Along with the major software upgrade, the roll out also brings the December 2022 security patch and a ton of new features and improvements. The OnePlus Nord 2T OxygenOS 13 Open Beta program has been revealed by OnePlus. The official announcement came via a post on the OnePlus Community forums. It is important to note that only Indian customers are eligible for the OnePlus Nord 2T OxygenOS 13 Open Beta program.

Typically, the company makes OxygenOS Open Beta firmware available for users to manually flash onto their devices. This time, though, the company has not made the firmware available; instead, consumers must apply for the program. If a user’s application is accepted, OxygenOS 13 Open Beta will be downloaded to their device automatically.

Indian owners of the OnePlus Nord 2T who have updated to the CPH2401 11 A.17 firmware are welcome to sign up for the OxygenOS 13 Open Beta program. Such users can navigate to Settings > About Device > Tap Updated, then Tap Icon on Top Right, then Tap Beta Program > Beta. Enter your details here > To enroll in the OnePlus Nord 2T Android 13 Open Beta program, click Apply Now.

The Vivo V25 Pro launched a few days ago is a very interesting upper-midrange phone, not only because it has a color-changing design, but also because of its great hardware and very nice camera department. But is it really the best upper-midrange phone out there or you can find better devices at the moment? In order to answer this question, during these days we decided to publish a few comparisons with the most interesting rivals of this device. Today, it is the turn of a comparison between the main specifications of the Vivo V25 Pro and the OnePlus Nord 2T. They are powered by the same chipset and come with similar specs sheets, but in this comparison, you will find out which one offers the highest value, at least depending on the price.

OnePlus Nord 2T vs Vivo V25 Pro

Design

Both these phones have good designs, but I personally prefer the Vivo V25 Pro. It may be just a personal taste, but it looks like this device offers something more. First of all, it has a rear side able to change color if exposed to direct sunlight, thanks to an electrochromic layer. Further, it comes with a higher screen to body ratio, thanks to narrower bezels around the display. The camera module is not among the most beautiful ones, but the above-mentioned elements make me prefer the Vivo. However, you should note that the OnePlus Nord 2T is still a great phone in terms of design and build quality. It looks minimal and it is thinner than its rival. Further, it comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection by Corning for the display making it scratch resistant. Unfortunately, these phones are made of polycarbonate and they do not come with the most premium materials.

Display

The displays of these two panels are very similar. The Vivo V25 Pro has a panel with a diagonal of 6.56 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2376 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, the HDR10+ certification, and a peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits, as well as an in-display fingerprint reader. The OnePlus Nord 2T has an AMOLED display just like its Vivo opponent, but with a smaller 6.43-inch diagonal. It comes with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 90 Hz refresh rate, the HDR10+ certification, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. As you probably noticed, the Vivo has a higher refresh rate and a wider display diagonal. Both the phones are equipped with stereo speakers, so the audio experience provided is not bad. Note that the OnePlus has thicker bezels around the display, that is the reason why it is not more compact than the V25 even though it has a smaller panel.

Specs & Software

The processor powering these two devices is the same: a Dimensity 1300 mobile platform by MediaTek. It is a processor built with a 6 nm production process and with an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex A78 CPU running at a max frequency of 3 GHz, three Cortex A78 CPUs running at 2.6 GHz, four Cortex A55 cores running at 2 GHz, and a Mali G77 MC9 GPU. On both the phones, the chipset is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 native storage, with no expandable storage. There is a dual SIM slot, as well as Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and NFC. On the hardware side, it is essentially a draw. These phones run Android 12 out of the box, but with different customized user interfaces on top: OxygenOS and Funtouch OS, respectively. Which one do you prefer?

Camera

The OnePlus Nord 2T looks more convincing when it comes to the rear cameras because it has a better main sensor: a 50 MP Sony IMX766 lens with OIS, while the Vivo V25 Pro has a 64 MP camera with OIS. The secondary sensors are not the same as the Vivo features a 12 MP ultrawide camera while the Nord has an 8 MP sensor. The Vivo has a superior front camera: its 32 MP snapper is able to record 4K videos, while the 32 MP sensor of the Nord only records 1080p videos at 30 fps.

Battery

Now, the batteries. The one found on the Vivo V25 Pro is bigger and, given that the processor is the same, this handset will provide longer battery life in most of the possible scenarios. On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord 2T is able to charge faster thanks to the 80W fast charging technology by OPPO. Do you prefer a faster charging phone or a device with a bigger battery?

For cameras, the Chinese company is offering a 64 megapixel triple camera setup on the rear. So all in all, its a pretty solid pick in this price tag thanks to its great specifications and relatively affordable price tag. It is currently listed on Amazon India for a price of 29,999 INR for the 8GB + 128GB model. Another iQOO phone that you can consider is the iQOO 7 that has a similar price tag and also feature the Snapdragon 870. However, this variant is a bit older so the newer model will have longer software support.

Motorola Edge 30

Motorola has had a strong performance in the mid range segment and its latest Edge 30 is another great option for those that prefer a stock Android experience with their smartphones. It sports a 6.55 inch pOLED display that has a FHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC and it runs on Android 12 OS out of the box.

The rear packs a triple camera setup with a 50 megapixel primary and another 50 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, along with a 2 megapixel depth sensor. Apart from its stock Android experience, it also features an attractive design with a slim body that measures just 7.4mm and a rear panel made from polycarbonate, which helps in keeps its weight low, measuring just 155 grams. The smartphone has a price tag of 27,999 INR (roughly 360 US Dollars) and is currently listed on Flipkart.

OnePlus Nord 2T

Thanks to its Nord series of smartphones, OnePlus has established a strong presence in the mid range segment, and the new Nord 2T is another great offering in this price range. It is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC that is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the front it sports a 6.43 inch AMOLED HDR10+ display that has a FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

The smartphone packs a triple camera setup on the rear, with the primary sensor being a 50 megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 2 megapixel macro sensor. This camera is typically found in more pricier models, so the Nord 2T can be a great choice for those that use their phones for photography often. It is currently listed on Amazon India and starts for a price tag of 28,999 INR for its 8GB + 128GB configuration.

Vivo V23

Within the 30,000 INR segment, flagship smartphones aren’t as common and we already listed the iQOO Neo 6, which had some top notch specs. Although, Vivo has a handset that offers a premium experience through its design. The Vivo V23 features a Fluorite AG Glass that glitters when light is reflected on it. This rear panel is surrounded by a metallic frame. On the front, the smartphone sports a 6.44 inch FHD+ AMOLED display that has a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.

Under the hood, the device packs the Dimensity 920 SoC that is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The rear features a triple camera setup that includes a 64 megapixel primary sensor, an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a megapixel depth sensor. The front also includes a 50-megapixel dual camera setup. So for those looking to carry around a device that turns head, this might the one for you. It is currently listed on Flipkart for 29,990 INR.

Samsung Galaxy M52

The Samsung Galaxy M52 is another worthy option in the sub-30 K category. Its Galaxy M series has always been popular in this price range and one of the latest includes the M52, which offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC and a massive 5,000mah battery pack that supports 25W fast charging (although, the box only includes a 15W charger).

On the front, it sports a large 6.7 inch Super AMOLED panel that has a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and a Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The rear packs a 64 megapixel triple camera setup, so all things considered, the offering from the South Korean tech giant is quite decent at this price range. It is currently available on Amazon India, with its 6GB + 128GB configuration costing 29,999 INR.

POCO F4

The POCO F4 is easily one of the best smartphones under this price segment. It arrives with a 6.67 inch E4 AMOLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits peak brightness, and even HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. The company has also placed an emphasis on its design with a gradient rear panel that also features a triple camera setup on a rectangular shaped module. The module houses the 64 megapixel primary sensor that has OIS support, along with the 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 2 megapixel depth camera. Meanwhile, the front houses a 20 megapixel selfie shooter.

Under the hood, the device houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC that is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In other words, it is equipped with some top notch specs. So, for gamers and regular power users, this device should be able to handle anything you throw at it. It is available for purchase on Flipkart for a price tag of 27,999 INR for its 6GB + 128GB variant. Although, you can also consider the 8GB + 128GB variant that costs 29,999 INR.

Samsung Galaxy A33

Rounding up the list, we have another Samsung smartphone. Our last pick is the Galaxy A33 that was launched recently. It has a 6.4 inch Super AMOLED display on the front that has a 90Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, the device is equipped with a Exynos 1280 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The handset is powered by a 5,000mAh battery pack that supports 25W fast charging.

On the rear, it features a 48 megapixel quad camera setup. The smartphone runs on the Android 12 OS-based One UI 4.1 custom skin out of the box. While this model might not be particularly eye catching, it has decent specs and even offers up to 4 years of software update. So for those looking to have a device that stays updated for long can consider this as their next upgrade option.

In recent months, a bunch of new mid-range smartphones have greeted the Indian market. These include the iQOO Neo 6, the OnePlus Nord 2T, the POCO F4, the Redmi K50i, and the OPPO Reno 8.

These devices differ a lot from each other when it comes to specifications and pricing, however, how do they fair against one another when it comes to battery life? To find the answer to this question, MySmartPrice conducted a battery drain test of the above-mentioned smartphones. So, let’s take a look at the findings.

A battery charging test precedes the battery test under consideration. All of the cellphones have been fully discharged, and the posted times reflect a complete 0 to 100 percent charge cycle. With a 4,500mAh battery, the OPPO Reno 8, POCO F4, and OnePlus Nord 2T require 27, 56, and 34 minutes, respectively, to charge. The Redmi K50i, which has the largest 5,080mAh battery pack, requires a significant 1 hour and 4 minutes to fully charge, while the iQOO Neo 6, with its slightly larger 4,700mAh battery, requires about 41 minutes.

The two-hour video playback test, which the devices undertake with a full battery backup, kicks off the battery drain test. The Reno 8 has the least amount of battery left after the speaker test, with only 67%. Through the first two tests, every other device keeps at least 75% of its charge.

Following the media playback tests, we jump to the CPU stress tests using Geekbench 5 and Antutu. After 3 hours of running the benchmarks, the Reno 8 has only 40% charge left, while the iQOO Neo 6 has the highest charge remaining of the bunch at 57%.

A one-hour-long gaming session comes next with BGMI being the game of choice. After the game session, the Redmi K50i retained the most charge level at 35%m which was followed by the iQOO Neo 6 and POCO F4 at 33%. The Reno 8 got the closest to the red line at 20%.

The game round is followed by a camera round, and it is noticed that the OPPO Reno 8 has reached its final 2 percent of charge after having been used for around 4.5 hours. Even with only 10% of its battery charged, the Nord 2T isn’t far behind. Everyone else keeps their cool even with more than 20% of the battery left.

The final nail in all the coffins is the following challenge, a social media usage challenge. The Redmi K50i is the winner of the challenge as a result of this. This battery is not only the biggest of the bunch, but it also has the best battery drainage rate (measured in mAh/min) and lasts for a full 6 hours, 45 minutes.

The latest addition to the K series by Redmi is the Redmi K50i: it is an affordable variant, but it still provides a high-end hardware department, which is the reason why it is a perfect phone for gamers. But it is also the best handset in its price range? In order to understand it, there is no better way than to compare it to the other best devices in the same price range. If you are looking for an affordable gaming phone, then the K50i is a perfect choice, but if you want a good phone even for other purposes, you may consider something like the OnePlus Nord 2T sold at the same price range. This is a comparison between the main specifications of the Redmi K50i by Xiaomi’s sub-brand and the OnePlus Nord 2T by OPPO’s sub-brand. Let’s discover which one offers the highest value for money.

Xiaomi Redmi K50i vs OnePlus Nord 2T

Design

These phones are not built with premium materials, so do not expect an incredible design. They are made of polycarbonate, but they still look modern thanks to their beautiful camera modules and their punch-hole displays with narrow bezels around. So which one has the best design? I personally prefer the OnePlus Nord 2T not only because of its original camera module, but also because it is more compact, thinner, and lighter than Redmi K50i. It weighs less than 200 grams and it is 8.2 mm thin, while its rival is chunkier due to its bigger display, thicker and heavier body. The displays of these phones are protected by Gorilla Glass 5, so they are pretty resistant. The punch holes are placed in different positions and the OnePlus adds a physical alert slider that you can find on most of the devices from the brand.

Display

The most impressive display in terms of image quality belongs to the OnePlus Nord 2T. It sports an AMOLED panel with brilliant colors and deeper blacks. The display has a diagonal of 6.43 inches, an HDR10+ certification, and a 90 Hz refresh rate. As already mentioned, it is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 by Corning. Unfortunately, the Redmi K50i by Xiaomi has an LCD display, so the colors are not as brilliant as an AMOLED panel like the one of its competitor. This device features a 6.6-inch panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels, the HDR10 certification, and Dolby Vision support. An important advantage of this handset is the presence of a 144 Hz refresh rate, much higher than the refresh rate of the Nord 2T. On the other hand, the OnePlus mid-ranger has an in-display fingerprint reader, while it is side-mounted on the Xiaomi one. Both the phones feature stereo speakers, but the Redmi is the only one with a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Specs & Software

The most powerful hardware department belongs to the Redmi K50i because it features a better processor. It is fueled by the Dimensity 8100 mobile platform by MediaTek built at 5 nm with an octa-core architecture. This chipset is composed of four Cortex A78 CPUs running at a max frequency of 2.85 GHz, four Cortex A55 CPUs running at a max frequency of 2 GHz, and a Mali G610 MC6 GPU. The SoC is paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 native storage. The OnePlus Nord 2T offers up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, but the chipset is weaker. We are talking about the Dimensity 1300 by MediaTek with an octa-core architecture composed of one Cortex A78 CPU with a 3 GHz max frequency, three Cortex A78 CPUs running at 2.6 GHz, four Cortex A55 running at 1.8 GHz, and a Mali G77 MC9 GPU. Both the phones run Android 12 out of the box and they feature highly customized user interfaces.

Camera

The king of cameras here is the OnePlus Nord 2T. It has a triple rear camera including a flagship-class Sony IMX766 main sensor with a 50 MP resolution and OIS support, an 8 MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2 MP macro camera. The Redmi K50i has the same secondary sensors, but the main camera is inferior as it is a 64 MP sensor without OIS. The OnePlus Nord 2T also provides a superior front camera with a 32 MP resolution against just 16 MP.

Battery

The Redmi K50i has a bigger battery and it is able to provide a longer battery life in most scenarios, even though it has an LCD display with higher energy consumption. On the other hand, the 4500 mAh battery of the OnePlus Nord 2T charges quicker thanks to 80W fast charging and its lower capacity.

Price

The Redmi K50i is priced at Rs. 25,999 / $330 in India, while the OnePlus Nord 2T costs Rs. 28,999 / $370. The Nord 2T is a more complete phone, but the Redmi is better for gamers thanks to its 144 Hz refresh rate, better processor, and bigger battery. Which one would you pick?

Nothing recently launched the Nothing Phone (1) globally. The device has been selling like hot cakes in the Indian market. So, the folks at MySmartPrice have put the smartphone to test against the best devices offered in the mid-range segment in India right now.

These Include the OnePlus Nord 2T, iQOO Neo 6, and POCO F4. The tests were carried out at the highest levels of standardization possible in order to reduce the possibility of errors on the devices. The display was kept at its maximum brightness. It’s also worth noting that the batteries in the Nothing Phone (1), Oneplus Nord 2T, iQOO Neo 6, and POCO F4 are 4,500mAh, 4,500mAh, 4,700mAh, and 4,500mAh, respectively.

The first test lasted two hours and was a video playback test. The test put the most strain on the Nothing Phone (1), which dropped from 100 percent to 79 percent charge. All others had a good 80+ percent charge left, with the iQOO Neo 6 having the most with 89 percent.

The next test looked at device performance, including Geekbench, AnTuTu, and a CPU throttling test. This test strained the POCO F4, which dropped to 57 percent battery juice, while the iQOO Neo 6 maintained the lead with 65 percent power remaining in its battery pack. The performance test was followed by a quick round of gaming, where the Nothing Phone (1) took the lead while the POCO F4 trailed in last place.

The camera test followed, and it taxed the OnePlus Nord 2T, which died after 5 hours and 38 minutes of operation. After 5 hours and 51 minutes of work, the POCO F4 came in second. The camera tests were replaced by a round of social media browsing, and it was at this point that the iQOO Neo 6, which has the largest battery capacity, ran out of juice at 6 hours and 13 minutes. The newest mid-ranger, the Nothing Phone (1), was thus the last smartphone standing for the test, lasting 7 hours and 2 minutes.

So far, it appears that the Nothing Phone (1) is the king of battery life in the mid-range segment. However, the device lags behind when it comes to fast charging. As we know, the Nothing Phone (1) has 33W fast charging, enabling the device to completely charge in 1 hour and 17 minutes. While the Nord 2T, which features 80W fast charging takes just 32 mins to fully charge from 0 percent.

Nothing released its first smartphone in the market, the Nothing Phone (1) a few days ago. The phone comes with a unique design, unseen in this segment, with a minimalistic design and software profile, and is looking to build a fan following like the Google Pixel series. While it has a set of interesting features up its sleeve, in terms of specs, it’s a mid-range model. So, today, let’s compare it with another recently released smartphone, the OnePlus Nord 2T, which also retails around the same price as this Nothing smartphone. 

Nothing Phone (1) vs OnePlus Nord 2T

Design

Both the Nothing model and the Nord 2T have a compact design which is easy for one-handed use. 

But if we consider just the design, the Nothing Phone (1) has a solid advantage. It is one of the best-looking phones in its price segment. The phone features a minimalistic transparent back cover with a matrix of LEDs which the company calls the glyph interface. There’s no denying that the phone is a head turner and you are surely going to be asked a few questions when you take it out of your pocket. The glyph interface is more than a neat party trick. While you can customize the LEDs to a considerable extent, the phone ships with 10 different ringtones with custom glyphs. Moreover, when you plug the phone into charging, the glyph interface also shows your charging progress. 

Apart from this glyph interface and its transparent back, the Nothing phone features an aluminum frame and an iPhone-like camera module at the back. This is not really a bad thing, and it definitely has a clear edge in terms of design and uniqueness in its price segment. 

On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord 2T comes with a familiar Nord-esque design. The overall device feels premium with a soft matte finish. When you directly compare it to the Nothing Phone (1), the Nord 2T might feel a bit boring. However, the phone is still pretty well-built for its price segment, and disregarding this model because it doesn’t have a fancy or unique design would be a bad idea. As we mentioned in our review, the phone feels premium for its price, and for those looking for a simple design, it could be a good option. 

One thing to note here is that the Nothing Phone (1) is IP certified while the Nord 2T has no IP rating. However, the OnePlus model features the popular alert slider, which adds a unique factor to the device.

Display

The Nothing Phone (1) comes with a 6.55-inch OLED panel with FHD+ resolution. On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord 2T features a 6.43-inch screen with FHD+ resolution. Both have HDR10+ support with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
So screens are going to be similar on the two models and it’s hard to distinguish which one has a better display. That said, you wouldn’t go wrong with either in this price segment.
 

Specs & Software

The OnePlus Nord 2T has a clear advantage when it comes to its processor. The Dimensity 1300 on the OnePlus model is more powerful than the Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. Both the models offer up 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage as options. 

So if you are into heavy gaming, the Nord 2T would be a better choice. That said, for most occasions, the 778G+ chipset would be sufficient, and only when you put it on heavy load, would it struggle. 

As for software, the Nothing Phone (1) comes with Nothing OS on top of Android 12. The Nord 2T also features Android 12, but with OxygenOS 12.1 on top. As we noticed in our review, the Nord 2T still has a few bugs that needs to be ironed out. However, the Nothing Phone (1) isn’t perfect either as we have been hearing about a few bugs. This doesn’t come as a surprise given it’s a first generation device. 

All in all, both the devices are not perfect in terms of software but they can be fixed via OTA updates in the near future. 

Camera

Both the models have competitive cameras, but the Nothing Phone (1) might have an advantage with a better ultra wide-angle shooter. The Nothing model comes with a two-camera setup, featuring a 50MP OIS main camera and another 50MP ultra wide-angle shooter. On the other hand, the Nord 2T features a 50MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, and another 2MP shooter.
Nothing phone’s setup is able to capture crisp and beautiful images from its main as well as ultra-wide angle shooter. Even when the lighting goes down, the setup is capable enough to output high-quality images. On the other hand, the Nord 2T clicks good quality images in bright daylight but the quality at night is not as good as the Nothing model. So, when you consider the cameras alone, the Nothing Phone (1) will have an advantage. 

On the front, the Nothing model features a 16MP shooter, while the OnePlus model features a 32MP selfie camera. Despite the differences in the resolution, the selfie camera quality should not differ significantly.

Battery

Both phones feature a 4500mAh battery but the OnePlus Nord 2T features a super fast 80W charger. However, the Nothing phone adds a 15W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging support of 5W in addition to its average 33W wired charging support. 

Wireless charging support in this price segment definitely gives it an edge over the Nord 2T but for those who prefer wired charging, 80W on the 2T would offer significantly faster-charging speeds over the Nothing model. 

Price

The Nothing Phone (1) retails for  ₹32,999/£399/€469 but the Nord 2T comes in for a cheaper price tag at ₹28,999/£418/€399. Also, it will be easier for buyers to get hold of the Nord phone than the latter device. 

Another thing to consider is that Nothing Phone (1) is a first-generation model. The phone is likely to come with a few bugs or even hardware issues, so you need to consider these things when you make your purchase.

The OnePlus Nord 2T went official in Europe in late May. It made its debut in India around early July. The smartphone is marketed as an upgraded version of the OnePlus Nord 2, which was released in July 2021.

On paper, the OnePlus Nord 2T arrives with a new chipset, faster-charging speed support, and a revamped design. But most other features remain the same as its predecessor.

Further, it is the only OnePlus-branded phone in its price segment, as the brand has stopped selling the older OnePlus Nord 2. So the question arises whether this handset is worth buying in 2022 despite coming with minor upgrades.

I try my best to explain whether you should invest in this device in my review.

OnePlus Nord 2T Review

Disclosure:

This review is based on my first-hand experience with a OnePlus Nord 2T (8GB + 128GB) loaned by OnePlus India. The opinions stated here are mine alone and the brand did not have any editorial input or early look.

Since the OnePlus Nord 2T is in the market for months, I have tried my best to share my thoughts on its as simple as possible. The review is divided into two parts: Pros and Cons. I am calling them ‘The Good’ and ‘The Not So Good.’

The aforementioned two sections will be followed by ‘Conclusion’, which will include my closing thoughts.

Now that’s out of the way, let’s delve into the review.

OnePlus Nord 2T: The Good

The design and the in-hand feel of the OnePlus Nord 2T are way better than what’s seen in the official renders. I have the Jade Fog color variant, which has a glossy rear finish. Whereas, the Gray Shadow version has a matte texture on its back. Either way, the plastic frame is glossy on both variants, which will wear out soon if the smartphone is used without a case.

The camera placement looks odd in renders, but I don’t mind it in real life. Most likely, you will also feel the same. 

Thanks to 8.2mm thickness and the curved rear glass panel, the device is comfortable to wield, though it feels slightly heavy at 190g. The alert slider is quite useful to switch sound profiles instantly, however, it is placed too high for my tiny hands.

The handset flaunts a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen is comparatively smaller and more compact than on most phones these days due to its size and 20:9 aspect ratio.

By default, the smartphone comes with ‘Vibrant’ color profile, which offers boosted saturation. However, you can switch to the ‘Natural’ profile to get almost accurate colors.

All in all, it’s a good screen with ample brightness to view under direct sunlight. 90Hz refresh rate is enough for most users but if you are used to 120Hz refresh rate like me, then you may find it slower.

As far as content streaming is concerned, you get 1080p (FHD) support on leading platforms, including Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ Hotstar to name a few. There’s also support for HDR streaming on YouTube.

Generally, the device feels smooth while using regular day-to-day apps spread across categories like social media, tools, banking, and others. That’s because it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

Though the chipset sounds newer than the Dimensity 1200 chip present inside the OnePlus Nord 2, it is actually the same but with some tweaks relating to gaming (more on that later). Overall, it’s a good system-on-chip for regular usage.

Talking about cameras, the Nord 2T has got the exact same optical sensors as the Nord 2. You get an OIS-assisted 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, a 2MP monochrome sensor, and a 32MP front-facing unit.

The images from the primary camera come out very well if you click them properly. You need to manually lower the exposure slider to get good shots. Else, you end up with pictures with overblown highlights.

The images are sharp with a wider dynamic range. But at times, the HDR processing could be too aggressive, a trend that is common on Oplus group phones.

The main camera is a joy to use in low-light situations, unlike on most mid-rangers. The sensor is big enough to let more light in. Night Mode further helps in difficult scenarios.

The ultra-wide camera is average, just like on most handsets. There’s a color inconsistency between it and the primary camera. Though it only performs well in good lighting conditions, you have support for Night Mode.

Photos from the front camera are also good for the price. But the skin tones are much better in the pictures from the main camera.

Finally, there’s support for up to 4K 30fps video recording on the primary camera, but stabilization is better in 1080p recording. The ultra-wide and front-facing cameras are limited to 1080p 30fps recording.

Other good things about the OnePlus Nord 2T include haptics, loud stereo speakers, and great connectivity.

OnePlus Nord 2T: The Not So Good

The software experience on the OnePlus Nord 2T is unpleasant. It runs OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12, which is nothing but a tweaked version of Oppo’s ColorOS 12.1.

I personally consider ColorOS to be one of the best Android skins on the market right now. But unfortunately, OnePlus’ optimizations and changes have ruined the experience on the OnePlus Nord 2T.

I am facing weird bugs on a modern smartphone, like delayed notifications and no notifications on the lock screen. Although the first issue got fixed automatically, I couldn’t find a solution for the latter.

A quick Google search led me to multiple posts on OnePlus forums complaining about this bug. It appears the ‘no notifications on lock screen’ problem is a common issue among most OnePlus smartphones. But I did not face it on the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, which I reviewed prior to this device.

There are UI inconsistencies throughout the software, and the swipe-down gesture from the top right side to access OnePlus Shelf is annoying due to accidental triggers.

Then, there are limited AOD styles as compared to stock ColorOS and the feature itself is poorly optimized. Unlike on Samsung’s One UI, you cannot control brightness, and it is too bright.

Initially, when I started using the phone, the battery was draining a lot with AOD turned on. Thankfully, that got fixed with a software update.

But I am still skeptical about the battery life. Though I could get a day’s worth of endurance now, there’s no guarantee whether the next software update will keep it this way.

The handset comes with support for 80W fast wired charging, and the required charger is included in the box. However, in my experience, I found negligible speed improvement from 65W charging. The device takes around 36 minutes to reach 100% from 10%.

Talking about the elephant in the room, the performance of the smartphone throttles a lot for unknown reasons. But it is worth noting that you won’t face this in regular usage.

The throttling issue persists during gaming and other resource-hungry tasks like rendering. In fact, the handset struggles to play 4K 60fps videos on YouTube. Hence, users looking to play competitive and high-end titles should look for other options.

Generally, OnePlus is associated with good performance. But with the extended portfolio of handsets with mid and low-grade chipsets and poor optimizations, consumers should have low expectations from its cheaper models.

Conclusion

The pros of OnePlus Nord 2T clearly outweigh its cons. But a smartphone with notification issues in 2022 is dumb. I hope the brand fixes it soon enough.

As far as the whole software experience is concerned, I don’t think there will be a solution in the near future unless OnePlus fully embraces ColorOS in international markets as it does in its home market China.

Also, I am not sure if the 80W fast charging could be optimized further. Because, in order to maintain battery health, usually brands limit the charging speed via software updates as the devices get older. So it may get worse in the future, but the chances of getting better are low.

There are multiple smartphones that cost around ₹30,000 in India. But only one of them bears OnePlus branding — OnePlus Nord 2T. So if you are strictly looking for a OnePlus smartphone in this price range and don’t play heavy games, I don’t mind recommending it.

OnePlus just launched a new best-buy in the Indian market: the OnePlus Nord 2T. It is a refresh of the original OnePlus Nord 2 5G and, before the Indian market, it was launched in Europe as well. After the launch, a lot of people are wondering which are the changes between the refreshed version and the original one. If you are among these, then you are in the right place. This comparison is not focused on establishing which of these phones is the best because you probably already know it and they do not differ too much. Instead, we will focus mainly on the differences you can find between the specifications of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G and the OnePlus Nord 2T.

OnePlus Nord 2 5G vs OnePlus Nord 2T

Design

Unlike the specs sheets, there are important changes between the designs of these two devices. The OnePlus Nord 2 5G comes with a classic rectangle-shaped camera module including three separate sensors placed vertically and a single LED flash. On the OnePlus Nord 2T, you get a camera module with other camera modules inside: there are two round-shaped modules including three sensors, while on the right there are two LED flashes. On the front side, these two phones look more or less the same because they come with the same flat display, the same diagonal, and the same thickness of the bezels. The punch hole is placed on the upper left corner of the display and these two phones have more or less the same size and the same weight. Unfortunately, both these phones come with a plastic frame and a plastic back, so do not expect premium materials.

Display

There are no differences between the OnePlus Nord 2 5G and the OnePlus Nord 2T when it comes to the displays. We are talking about an AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 6.43 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 90 Hz refresh rate, and the HDR10+ certification, as well as the Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the glass. Both the displays come with an in-display fingerprint reader and both the phones are equipped with stereo speakers, but they have no 3.5 mm audio jack. The displays can be considered pretty good panels, but we are not close to flagship displays. On the right side, there is a power key and the traditional OnePlus alert slider, while the volume buttons are placed on the left side of the phone.

Specs & Software

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 mobile platform: it is MediaTek’s flagship chipset of 2021, it is built at 6 nm and it has an octa-core architecture composed of one Cortex A78 CPU running at a max frequency of 3 GHz, three Cortex A78 running at 2 GHz, and four Cortex A55 running at 2 GHz, as well as a Mali G77 MC9 GPU. The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset found on the OnePlus Nord 2T is exactly the same chipset: it has the same CPUs and the same GPU, as well as the same production process. But there is one different aspect: the Dimensity 1300 supports MediaTek HyperEngine 5.0 gaming technologies, which is an upgrade over the MediaTek Dimensity 1200, which comes with the MediaTek HyperEngine 3.0. The OnePlus Nord 2 5G and the OnePlus Nord 2T are equipped with the same battery sporting a capacity of 4500 mAh. The difference is the fast charging technology: you get 80W fast charging on the new Nord 2T, while the older model supports 65W fast charging.

The starting price of the OnePlus Nord 2T in India is Rs. 28,999 (which roughly translates into $3679, while you need at least Rs. 28,000 (roughly $355) to purchase the vanilla OnePlus Nord 2. OnePlus has officially unveiled the OnePlus Nord 2T for the global market.  The smartphone has been a regular in the rumor mill as well as on certification platforms and the launch puts to rest speculations concerning the device.

Design & display

The Nord 2T features a thin build having a dimension of 159.1mm x 73.2mm x 8.2 mm and weighing 190g. The phone also features a unique rear camera design. The device sports a 6.43-inch flat AMOLED display panel with an FHD+ resolution and support for a 90Hz refresh rate. The display panel has a punch hole cut out at the top left corner obviously housing the selfie camera.

The volume and power buttons are located on the right side of the frame with the power button doubling as a fingerprint scanner. Do note that the Nord 2T does not have a headphone jack and a microSD card slot.

Specs & Features

The Nord 2T packs a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC, one of the latest flagship processors from MediaTek. In fact, it happens to be the first phone to utilize the chipset. The Dimensity 1300 is the successor to last year’s Dimensity 1200 and it brings 5G support to the device.  The processor pairs with 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM on some models while there are 128GB and 256GB storage options.

Oneplus’ second Ace-banded smartphone is expected to be a tweaked version of Oppo K10 5G. It is said to arrive with a Mediatek Dimensity 8100 SoC, 6.59-inch 120Hz display (LCDO), side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 64MP + 8 MP + 2 MP triple camera setup, 16MP selfie camera, 5,000mAh battery, and Android 12-based ColorOS 12.

Vivo X80 Series

Vivo has planned to launch the Vivo X80  series in India on May 18 (Wednesday). The conference will be live-streamed on the company’s official Youtube channel. The phones were first announced in China in late April, followed by in Malaysia last week.

The company is expected to bring both Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro to India. The former will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, while the latter will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip in the country.

The vanilla model is tipped to arrive in two memory configurations, whereas the Pro variant is said to come in a single version. The handsets are anticipated to start at around ₹50,000 in the region.

Realme Narzo 50 5G Series

Realme India will be live-streaming an event on May 18 (Wednesday) via its official Youtube channel from 12:30 PM IST. The brand will unveil the Realme Narzo 50 5G series during this stream.

The Realme Narzo 50 5G series will consist of two models, namely Realme Narzo 50 5G and Realme Narzo 50 Pro 5G. The latter has been confirmed to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC, whereas the former is tipped to house a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip.

The handsets are expected to star around ₹15,000 in the region.

Huawei Mate Xs 2

Huawei launched the Huawei Mate Xs 2 outward foldable smartphone and Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro in China at the end of April. The company has scheduled an event for May 18 (Wednesday) to announce these two products for the global markets. The conference will be live-streamed from 8 PM MYT.

The Huawei Mate Xs 2 is the company’s third outward folding phone after the original Huawei Mate X and its successor Huawei Mate Xs. Though Oneplus Nord 2T is yet to be unveiled formally, it is already available for purchase in certain regions. Hence, we know almost everything about it.

Infinix Note 12 Series

Infinix has revealed its plans to debut the Infinix Note 12 series in India on May 20. The company is expected to announce two models for the country, such as Infinix Note 12 and Infinix Note 12 Pro.

The details shared by him in the video reiterate the leaks and the Aliexpress listing. In other words, the previous reports on the phone are accurate and there’s nothing new to learn, except for benchmark scores.

Per the video, the smartphone is capable of scoring around 622,964 points on AnTuTu Benchmark. On Geekbench, it can attain about 719 points and 2760 points in single-core and multi-core tests respectively.

As far as specs are concerned, the Oneplus Nord 2T is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC. It flaunts a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It boots OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12.

For those unaware, the Nord 2T moniker was recently confirmed after the device was spotted for the first time on TDRA, which is another certification website. Although, the NBTC listing has also confirmed the device’s model number CPH2399. Notably, this model is expected to be a slightly upgraded version of the Nord 2.

Unfortunately, both of these listings did not reveal any finer details regarding the smartphone itself. But as per our previous report, the Nord 2T is expected to sport a 6.43 inch fluid AMOLED display that has a 90Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution, with a corner punch hole cut out. Under the hood, the handset may pack an octa core MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor and a Mali G77 GPU.

Earlier this month, we had reported on OnePlus working on a new smartphone, which will be the successor to the Nord 2. The initial rumor had revealed some of the upcoming smartphone’s key specifications, and now, we have more details regarding the Nord 2T’s camera specifications.

At the moment, the Chinese smartphone maker’s Nord 2T is expected to launch in the Indian market soon since it had recently surfaced on the TDRA certification site. The online listing of the device has confirmed its “Nord 2T” moniker along with its model number and details regarding its cameras. The brand is set to announce a number of devices in India soon, with the OnePlus 10R 5G and Nord CE 2 Lite 5G releasing on April 27.

Meanwhile, we expect the Nord 2T to arrive sometime in May 2022. Looking at the TDRA certification listing, the smartphone carries the model number CPH2399 and will officially launch as the Nord 2T in India. Interestingly, the device was also spotted on the GCF Global Certification website as well, which further hints at its near launch. Apart from this, the handset had even surfaced on the Camera FV5 website as well, which revealed some of its camera specifications.

Last week, there were multiple leaks regarding upcoming Oneplus products. Hence, we thought to put them together for our latest weekly compilation. For the unaware, we at GizmoChina, bring you a roundup article every Monday discussing select stories from the previous week.

In this week’s episode, we will talk about five Oneplus leaks. Of which, two of them are very interesting as they are regarding a foldable and a new series.

With that out of the day, let’s take a look at these leaks one by one.

Oneplus Leaks from Last Week

Oneplus foldable in the works

Last Friday, tipster Yogesh Brar revealed that Oneplus is working on a foldable smartphone. Unfortunately, it is not a  self-developed device. The handset is merely a copy of Oppo Find N, which is sold exclusively in China.

Hence, the upcoming Oneplus foldable phone could be just a new name for the Oppo Find N for international markets.

It is not known what Oneplus will call its first foldable smartphone. Just like other brands, the company will most likely use the ‘Fold’ branding, such as ‘Oneplus Fold’.

We are looking forward to learning about the device’s price and availability in the coming days.

Ace series to return with Oneplus at the helm

Oppo killed the Ace series after the launch of Oppo Ace 2 in 2020. Realme’s GT series replaced this lineup offering products at multiple price points.

 On Friday, a Chinese media house (Whylab) disclosed that Oneplus will bring back the Ace series from the dead. This device carries model number PGKM10 and it is nothing but a rebranded Relame GT Neo 3.

The phone will likely release as Oneplus 10R in some markets. Because we have been hearing about it for a long time and it shares almost everything with the Realme GT Neo 3.

In a nutshell, the Oneplus Ace could be limited to China, like the previous two Ace-branded handsets from Oppo. On the other hand, the Oneplus 10R may launch in India and even Europe (doubtful).

Oneplus Nord 2T to feature Dimensity 1300 SoC

On Friday, Mediatek quietly announced Dimensity 1300 SoC, the successor of the Dimensity 1200 chipset. A day earlier, a leak had already revealed that this chip will be present inside the upcoming Oneplus Nord 2T.

The design of the Oneplus Nord 2’s successor was also disclosed in the same leak via renders. The phone will have two large circles on the rear, however, only one of them will be fully occupied with a large OIS-enabled 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. Whereas, the second circle will house weird-looking tiny 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide unit and a 2MP monochrome sensor.

Other features of the handset will include a 32MP Sony IMX709 front-facing camera, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, dual stereo speakers, alert slider, 4,500mAh battery, and 80W fast charging.

The Oneplus Nord 2T is rumored to launch in late April or early May.

Oneplus 10 could be powered by Dimensity 9000 SoC

On Thursday, tipster Yogesh Brar once again tweeted that Oneplus is working on a smartphone housing a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. He suggests that this phone will probably go official as the Oneplus 10.

For the first time, Oneplus didn’t release a vanilla flagship model alongside the Pro (Oneplus 10 Pro) this year. At the same, the brand is also rumored to working on an ‘Ultra’ model.

The company is yet to officially tease either of these handsets. However, the so-called Oneplus 10 Ultra is rumored to debut at the end of Q3.

Oneplus Nord N20 is an Oppo mid-ranger for the US

On Wednesday, PCMag exclusively revealed details about the upcoming Oneplus Nord N20. Going by the report, the upcoming Nord for the US will be nothing but a tweaked version of Oppo A96 5G sold in China.

The international OPPO A96 is already official in Southeast Asia as Oppo Reno 7Z 5G. It is expected to release in India and Europe as Oppo F21 Pro 5G and Oppo Reno7 Lite 5G respectively.

The Oneplus Nord N20 is said to debut in the US later this month with features like a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, in-screen fingerprint sensor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, 64MP (wide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) triple camera system, 16MP selfie camera, 4,500mAh battery, 33W fast charging, and OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11.

OnePlus Nord 2T will be the upcoming phone in the Nord series. It is expected to be a budget phone with powerful internals. Last time, the phone’s release timeline was revealed, and now, the tipster Yogesh Brar(via Onsitego) has shared the specs sheet and render of the phone.

The OnePlus Nord 2T will come with a 6.43-inch punch-hole display. It will be an AMOLED panel with Full-HD+ resolution. As per the image, the phone appears to have a thin-bezel design on all three sides, but at the bottom, it still has a noticeable chin.

Moving to the back, it has a slightly tweaked camera design. It seems to have two small lenses placed below the main sensor in uncanny positions. The phone has a triple camera system with an OIS-enabled 50MP Sony IMX766 main lens. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide Sony IMX355 sensor and a 2MP monochrome lens. Upfront, it features a 32MP Sony IMX 709 selfie snapper.

It is said to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC coupled with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The phone packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for an 80W fast charging system. It will have a stereo speaker setup with Dolby audio but will not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Interestingly, the phone has an alert slider on the side which will be skipped in its sibling Nord CE 2 Lite.

OnePlus is working on the OnePlus Nord 2T smartphone. It can be said based on recent reports that it will come as an updated version of the OnePlus Nord 2, which was announced in July 2021 in India. Several leaks have already spilled a lot of information about the device. Today, tipster Yogesh Brar shared the key specifications of the Nord 2T to reveal what to expect from it.

OnePlus Nord 2T specifications (rumored)

The OnePlus Nord 2T will have a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. It is expected to support a 90Hz refresh rate.

The front of the Nord 2T will feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Its rear camera setup may comprise of an OIS-assisted 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera. It will be accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper and a 2-megapixel mono lens.

The all-new Dimensity 1300 chipset, which was announced earlier this month, will be present at the helm of the Nord 2T. The handset will come with 8 GB / 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The Nord 2T will boot to the Android 12 operating system and OxygenOS 12. It will come packed with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. The leak further mentions that the Nord 2T will arrive with an alert slider and a 3.5mm audio jack. The black variant of the device is expected to sport an attractive sandstone finish.

OnePlus Nord 2T price (rumored)

The base model of the Nord 2T could be priced under Rs 30,000 (~$393) with other variants may cost between Rs 30,000 (~$393) and Rs 40,000 (~$525). It is expected to launch either in April or May.

In its earlier days, OnePlus used to release only one smartphone per year. The number increased to two with the introduction of the OnePlus T series. Then, the number doubled to four with the Pro models. Now, years later, the number keeps shooting up after the launch of the Nord lineup and merger with OPPO. So far, the brand has released 2 phones in 2022. According to a tipster, there will be at least 6 more OnePlus-branded smartphones this year.

Yogesh Brar has shared a rough launch timeline for the upcoming OnePlus handsets. His tweet lists 6 devices that will be making their debut starting this month till Q3. We believe that there could be even more phones as he hasn’t mentioned successors to entry-level Nord models.

Earlier this week, 91mobiles revealed the first render of the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2T. It revealed that the smartphone will sport a black-colored rear with a sandstone finish. Now, the publication has teamed up with tipster Yogesh Brar to leak the camera specs of the Nord 2T.

As can be seen in the new image shared by the publication, its camera module has two camera rings. The top camera ring will house an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera with an f/1.9 aperture. The second camera ring has an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultrawide lens with an f/2.25 aperture and a 2-megapixel GalaxyCore monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies, the device will have a front camera with a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor that will be able to take them.

OnePlus Nord 2T specifications (rumored)

The OnePlus Nord 2T will come with a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen that has a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.It comes preinstalled with Android 12 OS and OxygenOS 12 UI.

The Dimensity 1300 chipset will power the OnePlus Nord 2T. It will be accompanied by up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. It likely to house a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC charging.

The Nord 2T will come equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device is likely to launch between April and May in India. It is likely to be priced between Rs 30,000 (~$394) and Rs 40,000 (~$525) in the country. Rumors have it that OnePlus may discontinue the OnePlus Nord 2 before or after the arrival of the Nord 2T.

Earlier this year, a massive leak revealed almost the entire spec sheet of the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G, leaving nothing but the price to speculation. But that changes today with yet another leak which says that the phone’s base variant will cost below Rs 35,000.

The info comes from tipster @Shadow_Leak on Twitter who also shared the already-known specifications of the Nord 2T. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300, which looks to be the successor of the Dimensity 1200. The Dimensity 1200 was actually MediaTek’s most powerful smartphone chip last year before it was dethroned with the announcement of the Dimensity 9000 in December 2021.

And if the past is any indication, then the Dimensity 1300 will be an upper mid-range offering and will be fair enough for a sub-Rs 35,000 phone.

Other known specifications of the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G include a 6.43″ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution of 2400×1080. It will have a 50MP+8MP+2MP rear camera setup and a 32MP selfie camera. The battery will be sized 4,500mAh with support for 80W fast charging. Two memory configs will be offered — 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB. Out of the box, the device will be booting into Android 12.
