OnePlus held its Nord Summer Launch event today. The brand announced three new Nord-branded products. These include the OnePlus Nord 3 5G and Nord 3 CE 5G smartphones, and the OnePlus Nord Buds 2r TWS earphones. The Nord 3 arrives as the successor to the last year’s Nord 2. Read on to know what the newest device offers out of the box. 

OnePlus Nord 3 5G specifications and features

The OnePlus Nor 3 5G comes with a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. It offers a 1.5K resolution, 1,450 nits peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Design-wise, the device has a slightly boxy form factor with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and the iconic Alert Slider. The back panel has two camera rings. 

On the imaging front, the OnePlus Nord 3 5G features triple rear cameras. The setup comprises a 50MP OIS-assisted Sony IMX890 main sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro unit. There is a 16MP front-facing selfie snapper. The device packs support for TurboRAW and 4K video recording at 30fps. 

Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord 3 5G is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. It packs up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM along with virtual RAM support. There is 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone features a 4129.8mm(sq) VC cooling chamber for heat dissipation. The Nord 3 5G draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 80W VOOC fast charging. Software-wise, it runs on Android 13 out of the box. 

The OnePlus Nord 3 5G comes with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, X-Axis Linear Motor, IR Blaster, and NFC.  

The OnePlus Nord 3 is offered in Temptest Grey and Misty Green colors. In India, it costs Rs 33,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant whereas the 16GB + 256GB option is priced at Rs 37,999. The smartphone will be available for purchase starting July 15 from Amazon, OnePlus website, and experience stores. OnePlus has officially announced the launch date of the Nord Summer launch event. It is set to happen on July 5 at 7 pm IST. The brand is confirmed to unveil four new devices including the Nord 3 5G and Nord CE 3 5G smartphones, Nord Buds 2r, and OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 ANC at the upcoming event.

It gives us an official look at the upcoming devices. 

The OnePlus Nord 3 5G and Nord CE 3 5G have two rings on the back panel housing three camera sensors. The former is confirmed to feature the brand’s iconic alert slider. On the other hand, we could spot an IR blaster at the top edge of the Nord CE 3 5G. The Nord 3 5G will come in Temptest Grey and Misty Green colors with the former likely having a leather textured back panel. The Nord CE 3 5G will be offered in Aqua Surge and probably more options at launch. 

As for the OnePlus Nord Buds 2r, they are confirmed to come in Deep Grey and Triple Blue colors. They will retain the same semi-in-ear design as the Nord Buds 2 with a stem and silicon ear tips. OnePlus is yet to reveal details about the Bullets Wireless Z2 ANC. As the name suggests, it could feature active noise cancellation and be similar to the Bullets Wireless Z2.  

OnePlus will be revealing more details about the upcoming devices on its microsite in the days leading up to the launch event.

The OnePlus Nord 3 5G could be the next Nord-branded phone from OnePlus. A tipster from China has shared live shots and specifications of the device on Twitter. Here is a look at all the details that have surfaced in the latest leak.

The leak reveals that the OnePlus Nord 3 5G has the Vitamin codename. It further states that the model numbers CPH2493 and CPH2491 belong to the European and Indian variants of the device. The live shots belong to the European edition of the device.

The leak reveals that the OnePlus Nord 3 is equipped with a 6.74-inch OLED panel that offers a resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels, a Dimensity 9000 chipset, and a 5,000mAh battery. The device has 16 GB of RAM, 12 GB of virtual RAM, and 256 GB of internal storage.

The Nord 3 is equipped with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, the device is equipped with a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel, + 2-megapixel triple camera unit. The device will come preinstalled with the OxygenOS 13-based Android 13 OS. It is packed with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.

The leak also reveals that the device is equipped with an alert slider. Apart from the black variant shown in the leaked shots, the device is expected to arrive in a green variant.

OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus Ace 2V in March in China. It appears that the Nord 3 will be a rebranded version of the Ace 2V. However, there seems to be one difference between the two phones. The Ace 2V has a 64-megapixel main camera, but the Nord 3 has a 50-megapixel camera in the above images. It is advisable to wait for further reports to confirm whether the two devices will differ in the main camera department. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Nord 3 may debut by the end of June or in July in India.

The NBTC website has featured the phone under the model number CPH2493, revealing both its official name and model number. The phone has also passed the TDRA certification. However, the NBTC listing only discloses the phone’s model number and moniker, and no other details have been disclosed.

According to reports, the OnePlus Nord 3 is expected to launch in India by the end of June or July 2023. The device is rumored to come equipped with a 6.72-inch AMOLED display featuring a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is flat and includes a hole-punch cutout located at the top center.
