OnePlus Nord 6 is expected to arrive soon as the successor to the OnePlus Nord 5, and new leaks have revealed several key details about the upcoming mid-range smartphone. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the device could launch early next month, with the information shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

The Nord series has traditionally focused on offering strong performance in the upper mid-range segment, and the Nord 6 appears to continue that approach with a significant chipset upgrade.

Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Could Power the Nord 6

One of the biggest highlights of the leak is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. If accurate, this would mark a major performance improvement compared to the Nord 5.

A previously spotted Geekbench listing also suggested the same chipset. Early benchmark information indicates the processor could deliver around 26% higher multi-core CPU performance than the previous model.

This upgrade would position the Nord 6 as one of the most powerful devices in the mid-range smartphone category.

Similar Hardware to the OnePlus Turbo 6

Reports suggest the Nord 6 may share several specifications with the OnePlus Turbo 6, which launched earlier in China.

Based on that model, the Nord 6 could feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. The display is also expected to support 165Hz high-frame-rate gaming, making it appealing to mobile gamers.

Connectivity may include a self-developed G1 e-sports Wi-Fi chip, designed to improve gaming stability.

Battery and Charging Details

The Chinese Turbo 6 model includes a massive 9000mAh Glacier Battery with 80W wired fast charging. However, it remains unclear whether the global Nord 6 will retain the same battery capacity.

Some reports suggest the battery may be smaller for global markets due to regulatory requirements.

Pricing Expectations

The leak also hints that the OnePlus Nord 6 may launch at a higher price than the Nord 5. While official pricing has not been confirmed, the upgraded chipset and gaming-focused features could justify the increase.
