OnePlus Nord CE 2 was introduced two years ago as a budget-friendly option and continues to receive security updates. The phone launched in February 2022, OnePlus has promised to provide security updates for three years.

Recently, the company introduced its latest addition, the Nord CE 4. Let’s check out the detailed comparison of the latest OnePlus Nord CE 4 with its predecessors, the Nord CE 3, Nord CE 2, and the original Nord CE 5G.

Display

The OnePlus Nord CE4 debuts with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 1100 nits, which is very similar to the Nord CE3’s screen 6.7-inch 120Hz screen.

The CE2 and the original CE, on the other hand, had smaller 6.43-inch displays but with different refresh rates; the CE2 had a 90Hz refresh rate which was a standard for its time, while the original CE also featured a 90Hz rate.

Design and Build

The design language has evolved throughout the generations. The Nord CE 4 offers two color options – Dark Chrome and Celadon Marble. The Dark Chrome offers a subtle gradient finish, while the Celadon Marble boasts a premium and vibrant design inspired by the OnePlus 11. The Nord CE 3 offers a more standard design aesthetic.

The Nord CE 2 5G comes in Gray Mirror and Bahama Blue color options, with a mirror-like finish for Gray Mirror and a gradient finish for Bahama Blue. Performance

The Nord CE4 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. This represents a significant upgrade from the Nord CE3’s Snapdragon 782G and even more so from the CE2’s MediaTek Dimensity 900 and the original CE’s Snapdragon 750G.

Each successive model has seen improvements in processing power and storage capabilities, ensuring that the Nord CE series remains competitive in terms of performance.

Camera

The camera setups differ slightly across the generations. The Nord CE 4 features a 50MP main sensor with a Sony LYT-600 sensor and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for sharper low-light photos. It’s accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 16MP front camera. The Nord CE 3 boasts a higher resolution 50MP main sensor (Sony IMX890) but lacks OIS. However, the Nord CE 4 takes the charging crown with its support for 100W SuperVOOC fast charging, which can juice up the phone from 0 to 100% in just 29 minutes.

The Nord CE 3 and the Nord CE 2 5G support 80W and 65W SuperVOOC fast charging respectively while the original Nord CE has the 30T Plus Warp Charge.

Software

Running Android 14 with OxygenOS 14, the Nord CE4 continues OnePlus’s tradition of offering a clean, user-friendly software experience with the promise of regular updates. The OnePlus Nord CE 2, which launched back in February 2022 has recently received a new update called the OxygenOS 13 F.53. The device launched with Android 11 onboard and has already been updated to Android 13, which is its last promised major Android update.

Last week, OnePlus started rolling out the Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 stable update for the Nord CE smartphone. Now, the brand has also started rolling out the update for the OnePlus Nord CE 2.

According to an official OnePlus community post, the update has started rolling out for users in India, while global users are also expected to receive the update in the coming days.

OnePlus launched the OnePlus Nord CE 2 in February. Despite releasing in the second month of 2022, the handset debuted with OxgenOS 11 based on Android 11. Now, five months after its launch, the phone has finally received its first Android 12 public beta build.

OnePlus released the OxygenOS 12 Beta 1 based on Android 12 for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 last week. The official announcement was made via the OnePlus Community on July 14.

Any user on firmware version A.13 can try out the beta software build. Unsurprisingly, there are some bugs in this release and the brand even lists some of them. These include an abnormal display of time on AOD (Always-on Display), no location information in video details, and wireless audio issue in the app cloner version of WhatsApp.

The aforementioned bugs are just the known ones. There could be even more. Hence, proceed with caution if you are interested in installing the beta software on your daily driver smartphone.

OnePlus hasn’t revealed when the stable release will happen. At the same time, it is not known how many beta builds the device will receive.

Apart from the OnePlus Nord CE 2, OnePlus is yet to deliver the Android 12 update for OnePlus 9RT, OnePlus 7 series, and OnePlus 7T series.

Last week, Realme announced the Realme Narzo 50 Pro 5G in India. The smartphone is a cheaper version of Realme 9 Pro Plus 5G. It is more affordable as it arrives with a  downgraded primary camera and slower charging support.

Apart from the differences mentioned above, the Realme Narzo 50 Pro 5G is the same as the Realme 9 Pro Plus 5G in terms of features. Even their design is similar, except for the colors.

The main highlight of the Realme Narzo 50 Pro 5G is the Mediatek Dimensity 920 chipset present underneath it. The device is currently the cheapest smartphone with this chip in India. The silicon is paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage

Further, it flaunts a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The panel has an in-screen fingerprint sensor with heart-rate monitoring support and its peak brightness can reach up to 1000 nits.

The phone houses a triple camera setup on the rear comprising a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. For selfies and video calls, it uses a 16MP shooter nested in the punch-hole located at the display’s top left corner.

The handset boots Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12. It gets its juice from a 5,000mAh battery and carries support for 33W fast charging.

Other features include a VC (Vapour Chamber) cooling system, Dolby Atmos-supported dual stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, x-axis linear vibration motor, 7.99mm thickness, and 181g weight.

The device is priced at ₹21,999 and ₹23,999  for 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB memory configurations respectively. It can be purchased in either Hyper Black or Hyper Blue color options.

A few days back, Xiaomi brought the Redmi Note 11 Pro lineup to India comprising of two devices. These are the exact same smartphones that were announced in Europe and other markets a few weeks back. The only difference is that the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G goes by the name of Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G in India.

This handset is scheduled to go on sale for the first time at 12 PM on March 15 (Tuesday) in the country. It carries the following price tags.

Customers can avail it in either Stealth Black, Phantom White, or Mirage Blue color options from Mi.com, Amazon, Mi Homes, and official retailers.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G comes powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chip, which is slightly better than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 silicon residing inside the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G. The OnePlus phone not only supports 4K 30fps video recording from the primary camera but also has a dedicated MicroSD card slot.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 900 chipset, while the Realme 9 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset by Qualcomm. The MediaTek Dimensity 900 is actually stronger than the Snapdragon 695 5G as it is born to compete with Snapdragon 7xx processors. The difference is not huge, but the Dimensity 900 is superior, and, given that both the phones offer up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G wins the hardware comparison. After months of rumors and a week-long teaser campaign, OnePlus has finally launched the latest addition to their core series smartphones dubbed the OnePlus Nord CE 2. The smartphone offers many improvements over its predecessor at an enticing price point, so let’s take a look at its specs and features.

Design and Display

Design-wise, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is pretty similar to the Nord CE, with the only difference being the camera bump. This time, the camera module design is noticeably influenced by the OPPO Find X3 Pro.  The Nord CE 2 has the volume rocker located on the left, and the power button on the right side. And like its predecessor, it appears to be missing the iconic OnePlus alert slider. The phone is also the slimmest OnePlus smartphone since the OnePlus 6T, measuring at just 7.8 mm thick.

On the front, it features slim bezzles on three sides with a sizable chin on the bottom. The device comes with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED HDR10+ certified display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display has a punch-hole cutout located in the top left for the front camera.

Cameras

For photography, the smartphone houses a triple camera system comprising of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2 MP macro lens. The primary 64MP sensor has a large f/1.7 aperture which helps it capture vibrant images even in low light environments.

Talking about low light imaging, the Nord CE 2 gets AI-based Nightscape support which basically takes up to nine different pictures at varying exposures and intelligently, weaving them together to produce clearer, brighter, and more dramatic photos.

The Nord CE 2 gets the improved Portrait Mode 2.0 which offers more accurate edge detection compared to its predecessor and also offers there ability to adjust the level of software-produced depth of field when capturing a subject for greater creative control. The new Portrait mode is supported on both the primary camera as well as the front camera of the device.

But that’s not the end of camera improvements as low light video capturing gets a bump in performance too. The Nord CE 2 comes with Improved AI background lighting and color optimization that improves the video quality while filming in low light and unevenly lit environments. Additionally, the phone gets another quirky feature called the Dual-View Video, which essentially allows you to record with both its front and rear cameras simultaneously.

Performance

The device comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 octa-core SoC that features inbuilt 5G and WiFi 6 modems. The SoC is boasted to have been optimized for power efficiency which in turn offers improved thermals and system stability making it ideal for gaming.

The device is offered in up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, which can be further expanded by 1TB using a TF card. A major improvement over the last-gen Nord CE is the charging capabilities of this device. The company has claimed that using the 65W SUPERVOOC fast charging, the Nord CE 2 can be charged from 20%-75% in just 15 minutes and can charge the device from 1% to 100% in just 32 minutes.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 comes pre-installed with OxygenOS 11.3, complete with an improved dark mode, new one-handed usage features, and more. OxygenOS 12 will be available for the device in the second half of 2022. In total, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 will receive 2 years of Android version updates and 3 years of Android security patches.

Other features of the device include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a SIM tray capable of housing two SIM cards, and a dedicated MicroSD card slot.

Pricing and Colors & Availability

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 will be offered in two colors namely Gray Mirror and Bahama Blue. As the name suggests, Grey Mirror has a mirror-like finish with flashy overtones that looks like polished metal while the Bahama Blue offers a gradient finish that provides mesmerizing color transitions of blue and yellow.

For Indian customers, the Nord CE 2 is priced at Rs. 23,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant and Rs. 24,999 for the 8GB + 128 GB variant. The device will go live for sale on February 22nd in India and can be purchased at OnePlus.in, OnePlus Store App, Amazon.in, OnePlus Experience stores and authorized partner stores. OnePlus & Amazon India are also giving bank offers and other discounts on the purchase of the Nord CE 2 which you can check out by visiting their respective sites.

European customers can pre-order the Nord CE 2 starting March 3rd and the device will go on sale starting March 10th. In UK, the 6GB + 128GB variant will cost £299. For the rest of Europe, the device will come with a starting price of €349.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is all set for a 7 pm launch today and while its design and specs are already known, the pricing had still been kept in the dark. But thanks to notable tipster Ishan Agarwal, that bit is now revealed as well.

According to Ishan, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G will carry a starting price of Rs 23,999. This can be brought down by Rs 1,500 if you got an ICICI credit card lying around or if you make the purchase using EMI through debit/credit cards, effectively slashing the price to Rs 22,499.

Said pricing is expected to be for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant. It will be joined by another 8GB + 128GB config that will be priced a little higher. Both variants will be available for purchase soon via Amazon India.

OnePlus will launch the Nord CE 2 tomorrow in the Indian market. Ahead of its debut, the tipster Ishan Agarwal has shared official renders of the smartphone.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 renders show the device in the Bahamas Blue color variant. Earlier, we learned that the Nord CE 2 will also have a Gray Mirror Shade. Coming to the renders, the phone has a punch-hole display with narrow bezels on all three sides, but at the bottom, it has a noticeable chin. OnePlus is all geared up to launch their upcoming mid-ranger, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 tomorrow (Feb 17). The brand has already revealed various specs and features of the upcoming smartphone, including its design. And the remaining specs have appeared through leaks and rumors, so let’s take a look at what we know so far.

Design & Display

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 looks quite similar to the Nord CE except for its camera bump design. It’s apparent that the camera bump borrows from the design of the OPPO Find X3 Pro. The Nord CE 2 has the volume rocker located on the left, and the power button on the right side. However, it appears to be missing the iconic OnePlus alert slider.

On the front, it features slim bezzles on three sides with a sizable chin on the bottom. The device is expected to come with a 6.43-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED display featuring a punch-hole cutout located in the top left for the front camera.

The device is officially revealed to house a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC under its hood. It is also rumored to come with at least 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.

OnePlus is apparently planning on releasing a number of new products this year. The company will kick off its launching spree with the Nord CE 2 5G, which is being announced in India tomorrow (17th February 2022).

According to a MySmartPrice report, known tipster Mukul Sharma revealed that the Chinese smartphone maker has a busy year ahead. The Nord CE 2 5G will launch alongside the new OnePlus TV Y1S, but, it does not end there. Sharma added that the brand will be releasing a number of new Nord series smartphones in India as well. Furthermore, it is expected to launch at least one new product in India every month this year.

Among some of its upcoming launches, the company will even expand its wearable lineup as well. In 2022, it is expected to release a new smart band and a new smartwatch. While it is currently unknown how many new Nord smartphones will be launched this year, OnePlus is already rumored to release the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G as well, which will be positioned below the new Nord CE 2 5G. This model is expected to sport a 6.59 inch FHD+ display that supports 90Hz refresh rate. It will also run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 as well, as per previous reports.

Apart from the Nord series, the company also plans on expanding its product range in India, with the launch of its new smart accessories. This would include at least one new smart band and smartwatch. Keep in mind that this is still an unconfirmed report so take it with a pinch of salt for now, and stay tuned for more updates.

OnePlus is gearing up to launch its latest mid-range smartphone offering dubbed the OnePlus Nord CE 2. The handset is set to debut on February 17 in India. The lineup will include two devices, namely realme 9 Pro and realme 9 Pro+. They will feature the same color-changing rear design but will differ in terms of specs.

According to leaks and teasers, the Pro+ will offer all the bells and whistles like an OIS-enabled 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera, 6.43-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED display, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor with support for heart rate monitoring. REDMAGIC 7 Series

The REDMAGIC 7 series will launch on February 17 in China. The event is scheduled to start at 3 PM CST. It will be live-streamed on Weibo and other popular Chinese social as well as video streaming platforms.

The family is expected to include two models, such as REDMAGIC 7 and REDMAGIC 7 Pro. There could be a special variant with an under-display camera.

This handset went official in early November in multiple international markets. It is nothing but a rebranded Redmi Note 11 5G sold in China. The phone also goes by the name of Redmi Note 11T 5G in India.

The duo will be similar to their predecessors ROG Phone 5 and ROG Phone 5 Pro, except for the chip. They are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC instead of Snapdragon 888.

OPnePlus has confirmed to launch the OnePlus Nord CE 2 in India on February 17. Though the smartphone is yet to go official, we know almost everything about it, thanks to numerous leaks in the past few days. Now, the brand itself has disclosed the design of the handset accidentally.

For photography,  it will house a triple camera system comprising of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit (119° FOV), and a 2MP macro snapper. On the front, it will house a 16MP selfie shooter in a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner of the screen.

The smartphone will be backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W SuperVOOC fast charging. Tipsters have also claimed that the OnePlus Nord CE 2 will include a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as a dedicated MicroSD card slot (up to 1TB). It will measure 7.8mm in thickness, weigh 173g, and arrive in two colors (Gray Mirror, Bahamas Blue).

The device is expected to be offered in two memory configurations in India. The handset will cost ₹23,999 ($320) and ₹24,999 ($333) for 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants respectively. OnePlus India has confirmed that the device will launch on February 17th in the Indian market.

Earlier today, OnePlus officially confirmed to launch the OnePlus Nord CE 2 in India alongside the OnePlus TV Y1S series on February 17. Following that, three different tipsters have shed information on the smartphone’s specs and its price. Let’s take a look at them.

First and foremost, according to Abhishek Yadav, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 will be offered in two memory configurations in India. The handset will cost ₹23,999 and ₹24,999 for 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants respectively.

Talking about specifications, Ishan Agarwal and Yogesh Bar say that the phone will be built around a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. It will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

On the rear, it will house a triple camera system comprising of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit (119° FOV), and a 2MP macro snapper. Whereas, on the front, it will nest a 16MP shooter.

The device will boot OxygenOS 11.3 based on Android 11 out of the box. It is said to receive 2 Android updates and 3 years of security updates.

Just last week, the OnePlus 10 Pro had launched in China as the company’s latest flagship smartphone that succeeds last year’s OnePlus 9 Pro. The device features top notch specs and feature and may possibly launch in India and Europe by March end.

According to a 91Mobiles report, tipster Yogesh Brar has revealed the OnePlus 10 Pro has entered private testing in India and Europe. Furthermore, the Chinese smartphone maker’s flagship handset is expected to launch by the middle or end of March 2022. The tipster also revealed that the Nord CE 2 5G is out of testing phase and is expected to debut sometime in February. It is a mid range device and was recently spotted on an online listing alongside the flagship 10 Pro model, which hinted at an imminent launch. This mid range phone is also the successor to the original Nord CE.

Talking about the OnePlus 10 Pro, it sports a 6.7 inch LTPO AMOLED screen with QHD+(3216 x 1440 pixels) resolution, with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 50W wireless SuperVOOC fast charging technology. On the rear, it features a triple camera system with a 48MP Sony IMX789 sensor, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor, and an 8MP telephoto lens, while the front has a 32MP selfie shooter.

Unfortunately, this is all the information that was shared as of right now. Following the Chinese launch, it isn’t surprising that the company would be planning on launching its latest flagship in India, which is one of its key markets as well as Europe soon. This week, OnePlus took wraps off the OnePlus 10 Pro in China. The smartphone comes with a new design, the latest hardware, and fairs at a premium price. However, the phone isn’t available in the global markets yet, nor has OnePlus officially announced it. But today, tipster Mukul Sharma revealed that the flagship device was found listed online hinting at a sooner India relase. Additionally, the phone has also bagged a few local certifications.

The OnePlus 10 Pro’s listing doesn’t reveal anything apart from its existence. The certifications, however, reveal that the phone has NFC and Bluetooth v5.2 support. The phone was spotted on FCC, BIS, and Bluetooth certification sites.

If we take look at the phone, it will stand above the recently launched OnePlus 9RT. The phone has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and packs a 5,000mAh battery. The device has 80W wired and 50W wireless SuperVOOC fast charging technology.

The smartphone comes with a new design offering a squarish camera module that is protruded. It has a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with QHD+(3216 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

It has Gorilla Glass Victus protection and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It sports a triple camera system with a 48MP Sony IMX789 sensor, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor, and lastly an 8MP 3.3x telephoto lens. Upfront, it has a 32MP selfie snapper. The rear sensors are powered by Hasselblad.

In related news, the OnePlus Nord CE 2’s listing was also spotted by Mukul. It also hints that the phone’s launch is drawing near. As of now, there are very few details about the device but we expect it to launch sometime later in India and Europe.

Earlier this year, OnePlus had launched the Nord Core Edition smartphone, which is a watered-down model of the original OnePlus Nord that was launched last year. Now, the company is working on another such model.

A new leak reveals that the OnePlus Nord 2 CE with model number IV2201 and codename Ivan is in the works and some key details about the device, including specifications, have been leaked online. The phone was recently spotted on the BIS certification website.

It has been revealed that the OnePlus Nord 2 CE could come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G processor with anywhere between 6GB to 12GB of RAM.

As for the internal storage capacity, there will be two options — 128GB and 256GB. It will have a triple-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 64-megapixel primary OmniVision lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front side, the device will have a 16-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The phone will come pre-installed with the latest Android 12 operating system with the company’s own OxygenOS 12 on top which is a unified OS from OnePlus and OPPO. It will pack a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.

Coming to the pricing and availability, it is said that the OnePlus Nord 2 CE will get launched in early 2022, most probably by the end of January or mid-February. It could be priced somewhere between ₹24,000 (~$317) to ₹28,000 (~$370) in India.
