<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">OnePlus has confirmed to </span><a href="https://www.androidpolice.com/2021/07/22/oneplus-plans-to-add-an-option-in-oxygenos-12-to-disable-throttling/"><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Android Police</span></i></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> that the OnePlus 9R as well as the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/22/oneplus-nord-2-5g-arrives-with-a-mediatek-processor-improved-cameras-and-faster-charging/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">newly launched OnePlus Nord 2</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> also have performance optimizations like the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. Additionally, the brand has revealed that it will let users opt out of this with the next release of OxygenOS.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">OnePlus says that its R&amp;D team is currently working to add an option to turn on/off this optimized mode. The feature is said to arrive in one of the first builds of OxygenOS 12.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Since </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Android-12/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Android 12</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> stable is expected to release by September, OxygenOS 12 should also get announced at around the same time. Hence, we expect the so-called ‘optimized mode’ toggle to make its debut by the end of 2021.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Additionally, since </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/OnePlus/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">OnePlus</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> has <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/02/oneplus-integrate-oxygenos-coloros-three-android-updates-flagships/">merged the codebase</a> of OxygenOS with ColorOS, we can anticipate more OPPO software features. In fact, the newly announced OnePlus Nord 2 with </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/13/oneplus-nord-2-will-run-on-oxygenos-11-3-first-to-feature-integrated-codebase-with-coloros/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">OxygenOS 11.3 with the integrated codebase</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> already looks identical to the ColorOS.</span></p>
