In the latest version, the brand has implemented a quick toggle on the left pane to switch between Google Discover and OnePlus Shelf.</span></p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/cYUK0r9WXpk?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Unlike most other launchers out there, the OnePlus launcher comes with OnePlus Shelf, which offers quick access to certain apps and functionalities. But with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/04/14/oneplus-8-oneplus-8-pro-specs-price-release-colors-all-you-need-to-know/">launch of OnePlus 8 series</a>, the brand replaced it with Google Discover. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">However, the shelf </span><a href="https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/now-access-the-shelf-by-swiping-down-with-the-new-launcher-v-4-5.1239940/"><span style="font-weight: 400">returned again</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> last month with a new way to access &#8211; a swipe-down gesture. But now, in OnePlus launcher </span><b>v4.5.6</b><span style="font-weight: 400">, the brand has added a quick toggle to access it.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">This quick toggle is not available for all users on OnePlus launcher v4.5.6 as it seems to be a server-side update. As you can see from the </span><a href="https://9to5google.com/2020/07/05/oneplus-shelf-google-discover/"><i><span style="font-weight: 400">9to5Google</span></i></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> YouTube video embedded above, the toggle appears on the top right corner on the left side pane.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The implementation is neat as users can now change between <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Google/">Google</a> Discover feed and the old OnePlus shelf with a simple tap. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The brand has a made good decision in this regard as though most users prefer Google Discover with recommended news and updates, there are certain users who make use of the OnePlus Shelf.</span></p>
