OnePlus just launched the OnePlus 15R in the global market, and alongside this value flagship, the company also released the new OnePlus Watch Lite. This wearable arrives as a budget model, bringing decent specs, proprietary operating system, and much more. So here’s everything you need to know.

OnePlus Watch Lite Specifications

The Chinese brand announced the OnePlus Watch Lite with a 1.46-inch circular AMOLED display that has a 464 x 464 pixels resolution, sapphire crystal glass, and 3000 nits of peak brightness. This screen is housed in a 316L stainless steel frame. The smartwatch measures just 8.9mm thick and weighs around 59 grams. Customers can couple this smartwatch with a black or white fluororubber strap that has a stainless steel buckle.

On a single full charge, the OnePlus Watch Lite can last for up to 10 days. It also runs on the OxygenOS Watch 7.1 and not Google’s Wear OS. Although, it supports both Android and iOS devices (iOS 14 or higher). This is a lighter software compared to Google’s platform, which brings dual sync feature that lets you sync with two devices simultaneously. OnePlus’ new budget smartwatch arrives with heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen tracking, skim temperature mapping, stress levels tracking, and sleep monitoring. There is even support for more than 100 sports modes and fall detection.

Other notable features include fast charging, 44mm casing, an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. OnePlus is preparing to launch three new products on December 17. The company will introduce the OnePlus 15R smartphone and the OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet in India and Europe. On the same day, European markets will also get the OnePlus Watch Lite. Ahead of the event, OnePlus has shared key details about the Watch Lite, while reports have outlined what to expect from the OnePlus 15R.

OnePlus Watch Lite features

The OnePlus Watch Lite is designed with a slim and lightweight build. It offers a 60-second wellness overview that brings together daily activity tracking, heart rate data, sleep tracking, SpO2 readings, and Mind and Body insights in one view. OnePlus claims the smartwatch can deliver up to 10 days of battery life on a single charge.

The watch is rumored to run on a non-WearOS platform, as no WearOS smartwatch currently offers this level of battery life. It will work with both Android and iOS devices, allowing users to receive notifications from two phones on one watch. NFC support is included for contactless features. The Watch Lite also comes with enhanced dual-frequency GPS for improved location accuracy. It will be available in Black and Silver color options.

Reports suggest the Watch Lite features a 1.46-inch AMOLED display. The screen is said to reach 3,000 nits of peak brightness in Sports mode and 600 nits during regular use. The smartwatch is reportedly 8.9mm thick and weighs 35 grams.

Alongside the wearable, OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 15R as the value-focused model in the OnePlus 15 series. The device is expected to be based on the OnePlus Ace 6T, which recently debuted in China, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The OnePlus 15R features a flat frame and a camera module placed at a 45-degree angle in the top-left corner. It carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Confirmed color options include Charcoal Black and Mint Breeze. The device will also feature a massive 7,400mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

As for display, the phone is expected to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, and an optical fingerprint sensor. The phone will also carry TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 5.0 for eye protection. The camera setup could include a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 32-megapixel front camera. As for videography, the brand has confirmed 4K recording capability at 120fps.

Earlier this month, OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 15 in India and several global markets, but the OnePlus 15R was noticeably absent. The company has now confirmed the arrival date. Scheduled for a December 17 launch, OnePlus will also unveil the Pad Go 2 tablet and the Watch Lite smartwatch at the same event.

OnePlus 15R design revealed

The OnePlus 15R will debut as the value-focused model in the OnePlus 15 series. It could be based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered OnePlus Ace 6T, which is expected to launch in China later this month.

The 15R features a flat frame and a camera module set at a 45-degree angle in the top left corner. It carries durability ratings that include IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K. The phone is also confirmed to arrive in Charcoal Black and Mint Breeze.

Reports about the OnePlus Ace 6T have revealed that it will have a 6.83-inch 165Hz 1.5K OLED display, an optical fingerprint sensor and a large 8,000mAh battery. Its configurations could go up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.

The camera setup is likely to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. For selfies, it could be equipped with a 32-megapixel front camera.

OnePlus Pad Go 2 and OnePlus Watch Lite

The OnePlus Pad Go 2 will arrive in Shadow Black and Lavender Drift, with the black variant supporting 5G connectivity. It will offer stylus support through the Pad Go 2 Stylo for writing and sketching. The tablet features a single rear camera and is designed for users who want a simple device for work or study.

The OnePlus Watch Lite will aim to deliver core fitness and health features at an affordable price point. It will be available in a single Silver Steel color. While the smartwatch’s availability could be limited to the European markets, the 15R and Pad Go will be heading to India, North America, and Europe.
