OnePlus has launched its first-ever Smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch. This comes in two editions- Classic, Cobalt Limited Edition. Let’s take a look at the specs, features, and price.

OnePlus Watch Price, Availability

The classic edition of the OnePlus is priced as below:

• USA- $159
• Europe- €159
• India- ₹16,999

In India, the Smartwatch comes with an introductory launch offer of up to ₹2,000 discount(from SBI credit cards, EMI transactions). This smartwatch will go on sale in few markets initially on April 14. The pricing & availability of Cobalt Limited Edition is not known yet.

OnePlus Watch Design and Display

The OnePlus Watch comes in a single 46mm version. However, you have two colors to choose from- Moonlight Silver and Midnight Black. The design has a round watch dial with two buttons on the sides one of them has the ‘OnePlus’ logo.

OnePlus says that the OnePlus Watch uses a 316L stainless steel case for durability. It adds that every watch is polished by hand with 20 different treatments for the finish. The models have a Fluoroelastomer strap and it also supports third-party straps.

The Smartwatch measures 46.4 x 46.4 x 10.9mm and weighs 45 grams without  a strap.

Apart from the regular variants, the smartwatch also has a Cobalt Limited Edition. It is made of Cobalt Alloy(2x harder than stainless steel). It also has the front display covered with Sapphire Glass. This version comes with Vegan leather (for India), & leather straps with a butterfly buckle.

The OnePlus Watch features a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 454×454 pixels. This display has a 2.5D curved glass, offers an HD resolution, and also has a 326 PPI, more than 50 watch faces.

OnePlus Watch Specifications and Features

Under the hood, the OnePlus Watch has an STM32 chipset paired with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. It has all the necessary sensors like the Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Geomagnetic sensor, Barometer, Blood Oxygen sensor, Optical heart rate sensor, Ambient light sensors. 

You can also use the OnePlus Health companion app to connect it with a smartwatch and track your activities.

Speaking of which, the OnePlus Watch can also track stress levels, heart rate(PPG), sleep, and Blood Oxygen levels(SpO2), 110+ workout modes. The smartwatch is capable of showing notifications from smartphones, controlling media, answering calls(mic & speaker supported), and checking messages via Bluetooth.

That is, it has connectivity options like Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou.

Other features include 5ATM and IP68 water and dust resistance, linear vibration motor for haptics, control TV as a remote controller(OnePlus TVs), 402mAh battery with Pogo pin charger support(Warp Charging- 20 minutes full charge).

This battery is rated for 14 days of typical use, sleep and blood oxygen monitoring for up to 5 days, 25hrs continuous activity tracking with built-in GPS.

OnePlus has already confirmed that it will bring out its first-ever Smartwatch on March 23. The Watch has already appeared on multiple certifications and some of its info including design has been out before. Now, the entire specs and features of this OnePlus Watch have been leaked before launch.

Leaker Ishan Agarwal has partnered with Pricebaba to reveal the information regarding the OnePlus Watch. According to him, the Smartwatch will come in a 46mm size of Watch dial. Further, it will come in two colors- Silver, Black and launch in both standard and LTE variants.

One of these variants has already been teased by the company and we can see the OnePlus logo etched onto a button. Anyway, Ishan says that the device will support heart-rate(PPG) and Blood Oxygen monitoring(SpO2 sensor). Along with this, the OnePlus Watch would be able to track your sleep, stress levels.

The Smartwatch is also said to have many activity tracking including automatic workout detection, swimming mode, and more. Below are some of the smart features that is coming to the OnePlus Watch:

• Answer phone calls
• Display notifications
• Media Controls
• Double up as remote control(for OnePlus TVs)

Apart from this, the OnePlus Watch is also said to feature a 4GB internal storage. However, we aren’t sure of this processor and the underlying OS just yet. Previous reports have already said that the Chinese smartphone maker would skip Google’s Wear OS and Ishan says the same.

Other features of the smartwatch include IP68-rating, support for Warp Charge technology, and if Ishan’s right, the OnePlus Watch will charge completely in just 20 minutes. Let’s wait for more info at next week’s launch event.

OnePlus has been teasing to launch a smartwatch for a very long time. Finally, it seems like the time has come for it as the brand’s fist smartwatches have begun to get certifications. Yes, you heard it right, OnePlus could be releasing not one, but two watches. Let us take a look at everything that has leaked about these wearables so far in this article.

OnePlus Watch Design

According to the OnePlus Health app, the Chinese smartphone maker may release two smartwatches. One of them will have a circular dial and will bear the model number W501GB. Whereas, the second watch with model number W301GB will sport a square-shaped dial. 

Both these wearables have been certified by India’s BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards). Hence, we could expect them to release in the country just like the OnePlus Band, which was launched in early January as OnePlus’ first wearable product.

That said, these watches could debut as ‘OnePlus Watch RX’ and ‘OnePlus Watch’ respectively. Also, they are expected to be either rebranded or tweaked versions of OPPO Watch RX  and OPPO Watch respectively. Out of these two, the former is yet to go on sale.

OnePlus Watch Software

OnePlus was expected to ship its smartwatch with Google Wear OS. But unfortunately, it may not be the case, as per a reliable leaker. Even the OnePlus Health app confirms the same.

Hence, we can expect these wearables to run in-house software. Therefore, it may not have support for third-party applications. 

In a nutshell, if this happens to be true, then the OnePlus Watch and OnePlus Watch RX will not be anything but fitness trackers disguised as smartwatches.

OnePlus Watch Limited Edition

At least, one of the two OnePlus smartwatches was initially planned to release alongside the OnePlus 8T. It could have been the one with the square dial (W301GB) since it was certified by Singapore’s IMDA in late August 2020 itself.

As this watch was supposed to launch in the second half of last year, the company even had plans to launch a Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition along with the OnePlus 8T model with the same theme.

We are aware of this variant as its straps were leaked in early November. Anyway, it is not sure if this special edition will be ever released now. But maybe, there could be a different limited edition instead.

OnePlus Watch Launch Date

OnePlus is yet to officially announce the launch date of the OnePlus Watch. But the company’s CEO Pete Lau has revealed that it will be released in early 2021.

OnePlus Watch Pricing and Availability

OnePlus was born as a flagship killer brand. Since its inception, the company’s products have been cheaper than the mainstream high-end products. Therefore, we believe the firm’s smartwatches could be affordable just like its smartphones and other products.

As far as availability is concerned, the OnePlus Watch and OnePlus Watch RX should hit the shelves in almost all the markets where the company has its presence.
