In a unique collaboration between ONKYO and “Puella Magi Madoka Magica,” fans are being treated to a special edition of earphones marking the 10th anniversary of the anime movie “Rebellion.” This collaboration brings two models of earbuds, themed after characters Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi, each featuring a design inspired by the anime’s “soul gems.”

Other than their stylish looks, these earphones offer Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, an IPX7 waterproof rating, support for AAC/aptX codecs, and a MEMS-type microphone for clear audio capture. They also boast an external sound capture function and wireless charging, with sound quality supervised by ONKYO. Additionally, they integrate with the ANIMA Studio app for sound customization.

Available for preorder at the ONKYO DIRECT Anime Store and at the Oto-Ani Store in Akihabara, fans can experience the sound quality firsthand. Each purchase includes a newly illustrated postcard, and buyers have the option to acquire additional merchandise like acrylic stands and wireless chargers featuring anime-themed designs.

The earphones are priced at 20,000 yen (~$133), offering fans not just a piece of memorabilia but also a high-quality audio experience.

Last year, Flipkart launched the very first Nokia-branded smart TV in India, following the licensing of the Nokia name to the Walmart-owned retail giant. In the last six months, the 55-inch TV has gotten 43-inch and 65-inch siblings. Flipkart also announced a Nokia Android TV box in August. Now, it has been officially announced that new TV models are coming in a few days.

The official Nokia India site has revealed that a new range of Nokia Smart TVs will be launching on Tuesday, October 6. According to NokiaPowerUser, the new TVs should be a 32-inch model and a 50-inch model. The two TVs are reported to have been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards back in early August.

The Nokia-focused blog has a different image of the poster which says that the TVs will feature Onkyo speakers. This is surprising as Nokia’s current smart TVs feature JBL speakers. It will be interesting to know why it has now switched to Japan-owned Onkyo.

The new smart TVs should run Android 9.0 out of the box and be pre-loaded with apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+Hotstar. The 32-inch version will most likely have an FHD resolution, making it the cheapest of the lineup, while the 55-inch version should have a 4K panel.
