Last year, in September, OPPO officially launched its new ColorOS 11 operating system for smartphones which comes with support for several new features as well as improvements. Now, the software is ready for rollout.

OPPO has officially announced its roadmap for the ColorOS 11 rollout or adaptation for its smartphones for the current month, i.e. May 2021. The company has confirmed that it will starts beta tester recruitment for the OPPO A32 users from 19th May.

Later, on 20th May, the company will be recruiting testers for the OPPO A11, A11x, A9, and A9x users. A week after that, on May 26th, the OPPO Reno Z users will be able to take part in this ColorOS 11 beta testing program.

To take part in this, go to Settings > Software Update on your smartphone and then click on the Settings icon in the upper-right corner. From the options, select Upgrade Early Adopters. Agree to the terms and click on the “Apply now” button.

After completing the application to be a beta tester, you can click on the “Check Update” button and get download the new ColorOS 11 on your phone to start using it.

OPPO has revealed that the public beta testing version of the new ColorOS operating system focuses on the early experience and may have stability issues. It might not be suitable for day-to-day usage so it’s a good idea to not use it on your primary device.

The stable version rollout should begin after a few weeks of public beta testing and the company has also said that the official stable version should roll out through over-the-air (OTA) updates in China.

The OPPO A32 has silently gone official in China. While the moniker is new, it is a rebadged edition of the OPPO A53 that had debuted in Indonesia and India in August. The company has been launching 5G-ready phones in China, but the newly unveiled OPPO A32 is a low-priced 4G smartphone.

OPPO A32 specifications and features

The OPPO A32 has a 6.5-inch punch-hole display. The IPS LCD screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. The Snapdragon 460 mobile platform is present under the hood of the device. The handset comes in 4 GB and 8 GB RAM editions. Both models are equipped with 128 GB of native storage.

The Android 10 OS with ColorOS 7.2 UI. It has an f/2.0 aperture 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Its rear has a rectangle-shaped camera module that includes a 48-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. It comes with support for other specs such as a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

OPPO A32 pricing and availability

The OPPO A32 is set to hit the Chinese markets on Sept. 15. It will come in colors like Mint Green, Fantasy Blue, and Glass Black. The OPPO A32 variants such as 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage are priced at 1,199 Yuan (~$175) and 1,499 Yuan (~$219).

Recently, an OPPO phone with model number PDVM00 was approved by the TENAA authority of China. The specs of the phone are an exact match with the OPPO A53 that went official recently in markets like Indonesia and India. However, some tipsters from China have claimed that the PDVM00 phone will be launching as OPPO A32. Hence, it appears that the OPPO A53 will be rebranded as OPPO A32 in China.

According to a tipster, OPPO A32 for China is the next entry-level phone featuring a 90Hz LCD panel. He also hinted at a high-end version of the device with a 60Hz OLED panel.

Another tipster has claimed there could be a 5G version of the OPPO A32. This variant could be equipped with Dimensity 720 5G chipset. It remains to be seen whether the rumored high-end version of the OPPO A32 arrives with an OLED screen, D720, and 5G support.

OPPO A32 Specifications (Rumored)

The OPPO A32 has a 6.5-inch punch-hole display that supports HD+ resolution. It is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 460 chipset. The device has a 4,890mAh rated battery.

The OPPO A32 may arrive in 4 GB, 6GB, and 8 GB RAM variants in China and it could be available in storage choices like 64 GB and 128 GB. There is a microSD card slot onboard for additional storage.

It has a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel. The backside of the phone features a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system.

In Indonesia, the OPPO A53 arrived with pricing of IDR 2,499,000 (~$169). As can be seen in the above screenshot, the tipster has speculated the OPPO A32 could be priced at 999 Yuan (~$146), whereas its 5G version could be costing 1,399 Yuan (~$205).
