Oppo has just launched a new mid range smartphone in India. The new model is a part of its popular A series of phones, and is dubbed the Oppo A57. So, let’s have a look at the device’s specifications, features, pricing, and availability.

Talking about its specifications first, the smartphone sports a 6.56 inch LCD panel on the front that has a HD+ resolution, 269 PPI, and 600 nits of peak brightness. It only offers the standard refresh rate of 60Hz but also comes with Panda MN228 Glass protection. Under the hood, the A57 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC that is paired with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM.

The device runs on Android 11 OS based ColorOS 12 custom skin out of the box and is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack that supports 33W fast charging as well. On the back, it features a dual camera setup, which consists of a 13 megapixel primary sensor and a 2 megapixel mono lens. Meanwhile, the front houses an 8 megapixel selfie shooter. Other features include, a side mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type C charging port, 3.5mm headphone jack, IPX4 and IP5X water and dust resistance rating.

The new Oppo A57 is currently available in India in two color options, including a Glowing Green and Glowing Black variant. The device has a price tag of 13,999 INR (roughly 180 US Dollars) and can be purchased from the company’s official online store as of right now.

Last month, OPPO launched the A57 4G smartphone with the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset in Thailand. The company is expected to debut the device in India soon.

Now, ahead of its launch, a report from tipster Paras Guglani (via Rootmygalaxy) has revealed the launch date, specification, storage options as well as color options of the upcoming 4G smartphone.

According to the report, the OPPO A57 4G 2022 will launch in India on 21st June. The tipster also unveiled that the pre-booking for the device will begin this week on Indian e-commerce websites and that it will be an offline-centric device. Other than that, the device is said to cost ₹13,500 and will come in Glowing Black and Glowing GreenColor Options.

According to the report, OPPO’s A57 2022 model will come featuring a 6.56-inch LCD dew-drop display with 720 x 1612 pixels resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the device will come powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone will also offer a virtual RAM expansion feature of up to 4GB also will also offer 64GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot. It will come with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and will operate on Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1.

For optics, the smartphone will carry a dual-camera setup on the back consisting of a 13-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the device will come with an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. Other than that, the smartphone will also come with a 3.5mm audio jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Last week, Oppo launched the Oppo A57 in Thailand. On the same day, the device was tipped to launch soon in India. Now, the handset’s pricing for India has been revealed by a report. Let’s check out how much it will cost in the region.

According to the sources of 91Mobiles, the Oppo A57 will be priced at ₹13,500 in India. On top of that, there could be some bank offers that will bring down the price for buyers.

The report also talks about the phone’s specifications but doesn’t say anything about the launch date. Going by the features, the device will be the same as the one that was released in Thailand a few days back.

Therefore, the Oppo A57 for India will be built around a 6.56-inch display (LCD) with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels and a dewdrop notch. It will be powered by a Mediatek Helio G35 SoC paired with up to 8GB RAM (including virtual RAM) and 64GB internal storage.

The handset will house a 13MP + 2MP dual-camera setup on the rear and an 8MP front-facing camera. It will boot ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 and will get its juice from a 5,000mAh battery, which will carry support for 33W fast charging.

Other features of the phone will include dual stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a MicroSD card slot, and a USB Type-C port.  Finally, the 4G-only smartphone will measure 7.99mm in thickness and weigh 187g.
