A couple of days ago, Oppo launched the Oppo A58 5G smartphone in China. The device is powered by the entry-level MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G enabled SoC. Starting today, the device will be going on sale in China.

Oppo A58 5G Price and Availability

In China, the Oppo A58 5G is available in a single memory combination of 8GB + 256GB. It costs $1,699 (about $234). It comes in three colors, namely Tranquil Sea Blue, Star Black, and Breeze Purple. Customers who purchase a set of Oppo wired earbuds receive a free pair.

Oppo A58 5G Specifications

A flat frame design is a feature of the Oppo A58 5G. Two enormous circles housing cameras and an LED flash can be seen on the back panel of the device. The phone weighs roughly 188g and is only 7.9mm thick. The phone has a 6.56-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels (HD+), 269 PPI, and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The screen has a dewdrop notch and a maximum brightness level of 600 nits.

The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, LPDDR4x RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage. It runs ColorOS 12.1 on Android 12. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and offers 33W quick wired charging.

It has a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. It sports an 8MP camera on the front for taking selfies and making video calls.

Multiple connectivity options are offered with the phone, including dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS, and USB Type-C. Additionally, it has a MicroSD card slot, two stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

After a couple of leaks in the last few days, the Oppo A58 5G is finally official in China. The budget 5G smartphone is identical to similar offerings from other brands in terms of specs.

The device stands out only because of its design. Let’s take a look at everything it has to offer.

Oppo A58 5G Specifications

The Oppo A58 5G features a flat frame design. Its rear panel has a matte finish and two giant circles housing cameras and an LED flash.

The phone is thin at around 7.9mm and weighs about 188g. It comes in three colors, namely Tranquil Sea Blue, Star Black, and Breeze Purple.

The handset sports a 6.56-inch display (LCD) with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels (HD+), 269 PPI, and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen has a dewdrop notch and supports up to 600 nits of maximum brightness level.

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It boots ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12.

The handset is available for pre-order starting today (November 8). It will go on sale from November 10.

Smartphone launches don’t seem to be stopping though we are nearing the end of the year. As of writing this article, two brands have confirmed to release new phones in November.

However, we believe there could be more announcements later this month. We have listed multiple products based on leaks and rumors.

Most of them mentioned in this post will likely go official in the next few weeks. Additionally, we may also witness the launch of handsets that are not listed here.

With that out of the way, let’s take a look at all the expected phone releases in the coming days.

Upcoming Smartphones in November 2022

Huawei P50 Pocket S

The Huawei P50 Pocket S has been confirmed to launch in China on November 2. It will be an affordable version of the Huawei P50 Pocket from last year.

The clamshell foldable smartphone is said to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 4G chipset, a 120Hz display, and cameras powered by the company’s in-house XMAGE image processing.

It is expected to arrive in six vibrant colors (black, blue, pink, white, green, and yellow) and two memory variants (128GB and 256GB).

Realme 10 Series

The Realme 10 has been officially confirmed to launch in multiple markets (mostly Southeast Asia) on November 10. There are also leaks regarding Realme 10 Pro Plus but it may not be announced at the event.

As far as the Realme 10 is concerned, it will be a budget 4G handset. Teasers and leaks have revealed it to come with a MediaTek Helio G99 chip, a 6.4-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, a 50MP + 2MP dual camera setup, a 16MP selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android 12, a 5,000mAh battery, and 33W fast charging support.

The device is expected to go on sale from November 11 in Southeast Asia via retailers like Shopee and Lazada.

Oppo A98

The Oppo A98 is said to be the most premium phone in the Oppo A series to date. Some of its features have been tipped but its launch date is a mystery. However, there’s a chance that it could go official in November.

As per leaks, the device will flaunt a curved FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2160Hz PWM dimming. The panel will have the highest screen-to-body ratio on a single punch hole curved screen with its 3.3xmm chin.

It will offer other features like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, a 108MP primary camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and 67W fast charging support.

Oppo A58 5G

Oppo may release yet another A series handset called Oppo A58 5G in November. Though the exact launch date is not known, its specs and design are out.

According to a massive leak, the device will arrive with a 6.56-inch HD+ 90Hz display (LCD), MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2,2 storage, 50MP + 2MP dual camera system, 8MP selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android 12, 5,000mAh battery, and 33W fast charging support.

The product is tipped to come in three colors, such as Tranquil Sea Blue, Breeze Purple, and Starry Sky Black.

Oppo Reno 9 Series

The Oppo Reno 9 series is also rumored to launch in November. The lineup is said to include three models, namely Oppo Reno 9, Oppo Reno 9 Pro, and Oppo Reno 9 Pro Plus. However, only details about the vanilla variant have leaked so far.

The standard Oppo Reno 9 is tipped to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz curved display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset, a 64MP OmniVision OV64B primary camera, a 32MP Sony IMX709 selfie camera, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Finally, it will boot Android 13 and will be backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

Redmi Note 11 Pro 2023

We expected the Redmi Note 11 Pro 2023 to go official in October but it didn’t happen. Now, we think it may release in November.

As per certifications and leaks, this smartphone will be nothing but a rebadged Redmi Note 10 Pro (aka Redmi Note 10 Pro Max) from 2021. It may be only sold in Southeast Asia and Europe as there’s only a ‘Global’ variant of it.

It will offer features like a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC, 108MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 5MP (telemacro) + 2MP (depth) quad-camera setup, 16MP selfie camera, dual stereo speakers, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 5,020mAh battery, and 33W fast charging support.

Interestingly, the phone may boot Android 11 though the original Redmi Note 10 Pro has received the Android 12 update.

Poco X5 5G

The Poco X5 5G could make its debut in November. If not, at least its Chinese variant bearing the Redmi branding might go official. Because the model numbers of this handset suggest an October release but the said month has already passed away.

Unfortunately, we don’t have much information on it. The product is said to be marketed as a budget gaming smartphone.

It is said to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC and a 120Hz display (LCD).

Xiaomi 13 Series

Two Xiaomi 13 series models, namely Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, could debut in November. They are expected to house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is also scheduled to go official this month.

The vanilla model is said to come with a 6.38-inch FHD+ display, 50MP main camera, and 67W fast charging support. On the other hand, a lot more has leaked about the Pro variant.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is tipped to arrive with a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO E6 AMOLED display, 50MP (1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor) + 50MP (ultra-wide) + 50MP (telephoto) triple camera array, 32MP selfie camera, Leica image processing, Surge C2/P2 chips, Android 13-based MIUI 14, 4,800mAh battery, and 120W fast charging support.

If you are wondering about the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, it will most probably release next year.

Motorola Moto X40

The Motorola Moto X40 could release in November as one of the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phones, other than the Xiaomi 13 series. Just like the latter, the exact launch date is unknown.

The device is expected to arrive with a 10-bit 6.67-inch FHD+ 165Hz curved display, LPDDR5x RAM, 50MP + 50MP + 12MP triple camera system, in-screen fingerprint sensor, 5,000mAh battery, and 68W fast charging support.

The product will likely go by Motorola Edge 40 Pro outside mainland China. The global debut could happen in Q1 2023.

As the moniker reveals, the A58 will be a mid-range device that will come equipped with a waterdrop notch display on the front. The rear shell of the device has two camera rings, which house a dual-camera setup. For security, it is fitted with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. While the OPPO A58 5G is expected to debut soon, the report does not say anything about the markets that will be receiving it. In related news, OPPO is working on an upper mid-range A-series phone named the OPPO A98 5G (tentative name) for the Chinese market. The device is expected to arrive with key specs like a 120Hz FHD+ OLED display with curved edges, the Snapdragon 778G mobile platform, a 108-megapixel camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W charging.
