Starting today, Oppo has started selling the Oppo A59 5G in the Indian market. The device was unveiled last week featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor, featuring an integrated Mali G57 GPU.

The Oppo A59 5G features a 6.56-inch LCD display, boasting a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 580 nits. The HD+ resolution ensures a clear and vibrant visual experience. The phone features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera to meet the imaging requirements of users.

The Oppo A59 is equipped with a substantial 5000mAh battery unit that supports 33W SuperVOOC fast charging, ensuring efficient replenishment. The inclusion of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner enhances device security, and its IP54 rating indicates resistance to water and dust.

Oppo A59 5G pricing & availability

In terms of pricing, Oppo has maintained competitiveness. The 4GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 14,999, while the 6GB + 128GB variant is available at Rs 16,999. The Oppo A59 5G will be available for purchase starting at 11:00 AM today, exclusively through major platforms like Flipkart, Amazon, Oppo Store, and various retail outlets.

As part of the launch offers, Oppo provides customers with cashback of up to Rs 1500 and up to 6 months of no-cost EMI for transactions through select banks, including SBI Cards, IDFC First Bank, Bank of Baroda credit card, AU Finance Bank, and One Card.

Oppo has launched the A59 5G in India after teasing it a few days back. The features and the price of the phone match the leak.

The product is a budget 5G smartphone with an eye-catching design, It offers a large high refresh rate display, a MediaTek chip, two rear cameras, a huge battery, and fast charging support.

Oppo A59 5G Specifications

The handset sports a flat frame design and measures about 8.12mm in thickness. It weighs around 187g and arrives in two colors, namely Silk Gold and Starry Black. It is IP54-rated for splash resistance.

Its front is equipped with a 6.56-inch display featuring a dewdrop notch. This LCD panel offers a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels (HD+), a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 720 nits peak brightness level.

Under the hood, the phone houses a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chip and a 5,000mAh battery. It boots ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13 and supports 33W charging.

It has a dual camera setup on the rear comprising a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there’s an 8MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

Oppo A59 5G Launching “Soon” in India

Oppo is preparing to launch the Oppo Find X7 series and Oppo Pad Neo in China, but out of surprise, the Oppo A59 5G is also “coming soon” in India. The company took to X.com to officially confirm the new smartphone launch in India via a poster teaser. There are scarce details about the Oppo A59 5G, as it only appeared on Bluetooth SIG and BIS before the official announcement. There are hardly any leaks or rumors detailing its specifications or features.

However, the poster confirms a dual-rear camera with an LED flash. There’s a dew-drop notch on the front side, and a power button is present on the right bump of the smartphone. Further, it will be the 5G smartphone, which could run the Dimension 6100 SoC. The shiny gold color is quite evident in the poster.

The Oppo A59 5G has already made it to Bluetooth and BIS with model code PCH2617. The Bluetooth SIG confirms the presence of the Bluetooth 5.3 version, while the BIS confirms the smartphone’s launch in India. The smartphone appears to feature considerable upgrades over its predecessor, the Oppo A58 5G.

The Oppo A58 5G made its debut last year in November, featuring a large 6.56-inch IPS LCD with 280 nits of brightness and 720 x 1612 pixels of resolution. The smartphone bundles the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC with 6GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB RAM + 128GB, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage options. It embeds a dual-rear camera comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. An 8MP camera is present on the front for selfies and video calling. Further, it comprises a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. In terms of connectivity, the Oppo A58 5G bundles dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB Type-C 2.0.
