<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Earlier this month, Indian tech influencer </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400">Mukul Sharma</span></i> <a href="https://twitter.com/stufflistings/status/1357249111087489025"><span style="font-weight: 400">revealed</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> that a new OPPO smartphone with model number CPH2219 had been certified by Indonesia’s TKDN regulatory. Now, almost two weeks later, the same phone has been also </span><a href="https://twitter.com/stufflistings/status/1361716980118556674"><span style="font-weight: 400">certified</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> by China Quality Certification Center (CQC) with 33W fast charging.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Based on these two certifications, we can expect </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/OPPO/"><span style="font-weight: 400">OPPO</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> CPH2219 to launch in Indonesia and China. The handset could be available in other regions as well but we cannot tell that for sure as of now. Above all, the device’s official branding is still a mystery. However, we may learn it soon once this phone gets certified by either FCC or NBTC.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">That said, the most interesting thing about this smartphone is that it will support 33W fast charging. For those unaware, there’s not a single smartphone from the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/31/oneplus-ceo-returns-to-oppo-as-senior-vp-and-head-of-product-experience/">Oujia group</a> (OPPO, OnePlus, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/realme/"><span style="font-weight: 400">realme</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">) with this charging speed.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">However, it is worth noting that a </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/21/oneplus-33w-charger/"><span style="font-weight: 400">33W OnePlus charger</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> had already been certified by TÜV Rheinland in December 2020. Hence, though the upcoming OPPO CPH2219 could be the first 33W fast charging smartphone from the company, it may not be the first from the group as </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/OnePlus/"><span style="font-weight: 400">OnePlus</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> also has a chance of announcing a phone with the same tech.</span></p>
