Fast-rising Chinese tech brand OPPO has unveiled its Structured Local Radiance Fields for Human Avatar Modeling. This marks a breakthrough in OPPO AI technology. It is an AI-driven technology that can create animated digital avatars using a few phones. The new OPPO AI technology is adept at loose clothes appearance learning and skeleton motion modeling. The new OPPO technology aims to give people a digital life with unlimited possibilities.

The new OPPO AI model can automatically generate 3D animated digital avatars by analyzing RGB data. The dynamic, advanced avatars from OPPO’s proprietary AI model is fast, simple, and accessible. The work was driven by the OPPO Digital Avatar Lab using mainly the Find 5 Pro to collect data on the human body. Thereafter AI automatically generates the 3D human model by analyzing RGB videos. This approach eliminates reconstruction errors from traditional methods.

The predefined nodes of the process are a professional dancer’s skeleton used to construct a set of structured radiance fields. This creates a more realistic virtual effect and life-like avatars. The avatar is capable of learning different dance moves and will also integrate more interactive experiences in the future. The technology uses neural networks to create a new and dynamic character within a few hours.
