Back in February, OPPO had an event in Lagos, Nigeria where it revealed its plans to enter the country’s smartphone market. Prior to then, it was already selling the mid-range OPPO A3 and OPPO A3s. On Friday, April 26, it launched its “upper mid-range” phone, the F11 Pro in the country.

The OPPO F11 Pro first launched in India last month. It’s selling point is its “rising” selfie camera which has a 16MP sensor. OPPO also unveiled the F11 Pro Marvel’s Avengers Limited Editon too.

The F11 Pro will sell for NGN 139,000 while the Avengers Limited Edition will be sold for NGN 149,000. The former which comes in Aurora Green and Thunder Black was scheduled to be available for purchase yesterday while the latter will be available for pre-order on May 1 and be available for purchase on May 8.OPPO Nigeria also said it is providing a 2-year warranty on the F11 Pro.

The OPPO F11 Pro has a 6.53-inch 1080 x 2340 display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Helio P70 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There is glass on the front but that gorgeous back is actually plastic.

Just like the Redmi Note 7 which also launched in Nigeria a few days ago, the F11 Pro also has a 48MP primary camera paired with a 5MP depth sensor. It runs ColorOS 6 based on Android Pie and packs a 4,000mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology via a MicroUSB port (that’s a tad disappointing).

There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back, support for Dual SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi, audio jack, and Bluetooth 5.0.

A few days ago, we reported that Oppo has partnered with Marvel to launch a limited edition smartphone for the promotion of its upcoming Avengers: Endgame movie. Well, the company has now finally launched the Oppo F11 Pro Marvel’s Avengers Limited Edition.

As expected, Oppo has officially launched the Oppo F11 Pro Avengers Edition smartphone in Malaysia. The phone is set to launch in the Indian market on 26th April and will be available for purchase exclusively through Amazon.in.

The smartphone comes with a Blue hue and glossy finish. It features Oppo’s signature gradient effects combined with an intricate hexagonal pattern and red Avengers logo completes the design.

In the box, it comes with Captain America inspired case for extra protection and durability, influenced by Captain America’s iconic shield. The shield can be used as a phone stand holder. The OPPO F11 Pro Marvel’s Avengers Limited Edition box set has thermo-printed classic Avengers logo and stamped collector’s badge.

Apart from these design-related changes, everything else in terms of specifications remains the same. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Panoramic display offering a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio and 90.9 percent screen to body ratio. Instead of a notch, the phone comes with an elevating camera that houses the front camera sensor.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the popular mid-range chipset from MediaTek — Helio P70 and features a Hyper Boost technology that basically optimizes the phone’s performance.

Coming to the camera department, the smartphone features a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor along with an LED flash, f/1.79 aperture, and 6P Lens. It comes with an Ultra Night Mode for better low-light photography and a few other AI-powered features.

On the front side, the smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel snapper with an elevating mechanism, which the company prefers to call “Rising Camera.” It supports AI-based features as well as Face Unlock feature. There’s also a fingerprint sensor placed on the phone’s back panel.

Connectivity options on the device include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/GLONASS, and Micro USB Port. As for the software, the smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6. The smartphone is powered by a 4,000mAh battery which comes with the VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge technology.

The OPPO F11 Pro Marvel’s Avengers Limited Edition comes with 128GB of internal storage and is priced at 1,399 Malaysian Ringgit (approximately $338). It is now available for pre-order from OPPO website and Concept Store offline and will go on sale from May 3rd.
