Oppo just took the wraps off its hotly-anticipated F9 Pro smartphone. Placed in the affordable mid-range segment in the Indian market, the phone carries a 23,990 INR (about $344) price tag and it comes in three color options including Sunrise Red, Starry Purple, and Twilight Blue.

While the F9 Pro will be made available to the public on August 31st, you can preorder the Sunlight Red and Twilight Blue color versions on Flipkart. Following its imminent launch, the phone will be up for grabs on several other online stores across India.

Touted as an ideal phone for people who are always on the go, the F9 Pro sports a mammoth 6.3 inches LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. This waterproof display features a tiny notch on top of the screen that has the front-mounted camera.
With an awe-inspiring 19.5:9 aspect ratio, coupled with a 90.8 percent screen-to-body ratio, the phone’s display is provided additional protection by placing a layer of the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on top. This makes the phone a perfect tool for recording important moments.

Moreover, it packs a powerful MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor along with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU, under the hood. It offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

On the photography front, the F9 Pro houses a 16MP+2MP camera setup on the back. Up front, there’s a 25MP camera with f/2.0 for selfies and face-to-face video chatting.

The phone runs on ColorOS 5.2 based Android 8.1 Oreo operating and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that supports VOOC Flash Charging.
