Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has been consistently leaking details about Oppo’s next flagship series, the Find X9 lineup. According to his Weibo posts, Oppo is currently testing a range of premium features that are expected to be standard across the entire Find X9 family, which includes the X9, X9+, X9 Pro, and possibly the X9 Ultra.

The tipster revealed that the Find X9 series is likely to offer ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors for improved biometric accuracy, replacing the short-focus fingerprint solution seen on previous models. All models are said to support wireless charging and are being tested with IP68/69 dust and water resistance levels. Additionally, the entire series is also being tested with a periscope telephoto camera.

While the Find X9, X9+, and X9 Pro are likely to be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset built on TSMC’s 3nm N3P process, the Ultra model is tipped to use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. As per a new leak by DCS, the new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and Dimensity 9500-powered flagship phones will debut by the end of September in China. Hence, it appears that the X9, X9+, and X9 Pro will break cover in September, while the X9 Ultra may debut in Q1 2026.

Reports have revealed that the Find X9 Pro may feature a large 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens instead of the dual periscope cameras seen on the Find X8 Pro. This could significantly enhance zoom and macro photography. The X9 is expected to arrive as a compact flagship phone equipped with a flat 6.3-inch display. In particular, this improvement might be to the periscope telephoto shooter. Meanwhile, the top end Find X9 Ultra could push the boundary in smartphone photography. DCS also claimed that the Find X9 Ultra may pack a 200MP and 50MP periscope shooters on the back, along, which likely offers different optical magnification levels.

The tipster bases the information on a prototype Find X9 Ultra, which reportedly packs Samsung’s high end ISOCELL HP5 and JN5 as the telephoto lenses. So the Chinese brand would likely make some changes to the camera specifications. That’s not all, the Find X8 Ultra’s spectral image sensor might make its way to the other affordable Find X9 variants like the standard Find X9 and X9 Pro. Today, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station released a Weibo post to reveal key details about the Find X9 series.

Find X9 series: Three phones to feature Dimensity 9500 chip

According to the leak, the Oppo Find X9 series will include four distinct models, three of which are expected to run on MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9500 chip. These three devices are said to come with 6.3-inch, 6.59-inch, and 6.78-inch displays, all with 1.5K resolution.

Each one will feature a flat panel design with uniform bezels and ultra-thin borders achieved through LIPO technology. They will also share the same rear camera setup – a triple camera system with a periscope telephoto lens for improved zoom performance. At least the topmost model among the three will have a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera as per a previous report.

Find X9 Ultra to use Snapdragon chip and one-inch sensor

Following Oppo’s established flagship pattern, the Find X9 Ultra is likely to stand apart. It’s expected to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 along with a massive one-inch main sensor.

In February, tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that Oppo is considering including a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera backed by a large sensor in the Find X9 series. In today’s leak, tipster Smart Pikachu has claimed that the Find X9 series will feature a 200-megapixel main camera or a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. He added that the necessary materials for these components are already available, and the phones are expected to debut by the end of this year.

Furthermore, the tipster indicates that both the “parent” brand—likely referring to Oppo—and its “subsidiary” brands, possibly OnePlus or Realme (though this remains speculative), will have access to these camera technologies. This suggests that similar high-end camera setups could appear not only on Oppo’s flagship devices but also on smartphones from its related brands in the future.

Oppo Find X8 Mini is not the official name

The above leak by tipster Digital Chat Station talks about the upcoming Find X8 Mini and Find X9 series phones. He has claimed that the “Find X8 Mini” is not the final moniker of the so-called mini model, which is expected to launch alongside the Find X8 Ultra in March in China. While he did not reveal the actual name of the device, some early leaks have suggested that it could be called the Find X8 Next. It is advisable to wait for further reports to confirm the official name and details of the device.

As per as specs are concerned, the Find X8 Next is expected to feature a 6.31-inch flat OLED screen that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an optical-type in-screen fingerprint sensor.
