<p><a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">Oppo</a>’s flagship Find X6 series seems to be just around the corner, with rumors hinting at an early 2023 launch. The lineup should include the vanilla Find X6 and the higher-end Find X6 Pro. However, these two might not be the only Oppo flagships launching next year. Tipster Digital Chat Station says the brand has another premium smartphone in the works that could have Hasselblad cameras (Via <a href="https://www.techgoing.com/mysterious-oppo-flagship-with-circular-camera-with-hasselblad-cinema-branding-in-works/">TechGoing</a>).</p>

<p>Earlier this month, Mr. Chat Station shared a schematic image of an unknown Oppo smartphone with a round-shaped Hasselblad-labelled camera module. It seems the tipster has revealed more information about the same phone today.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="841" height="184" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/unknown-oppo-flagship.png?x44794" alt="unknown oppo flagship" class="wp-image-505860" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/unknown-oppo-flagship.png 841w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/unknown-oppo-flagship-300x66.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/unknown-oppo-flagship-768x168.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/unknown-oppo-flagship-696x152.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 841px) 100vw, 841px" /></figure></div>

<p>DCS says the mysterious smartphone will have a circular camera module with a main camera, a periscope portrait center-focus lens, and a movie lens. The cameras will feature Hasselblad tuning. The device should belong to the Find X6 series, however, the tipster is not certain of its moniker.</p>

<p>Notably, a recent leaked render shared by Evan Blass revealed the Find X6 series will have a rectangular camera island with three cameras inside. So, if the alleged handset is indeed a Find X6 series model, it would differ significantly from other models in terms of design.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/oppo-find-x6.webp?x44794" alt="oppo find x6" class="wp-image-505861" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/oppo-find-x6.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/oppo-find-x6-300x200.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/oppo-find-x6-768x512.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/oppo-find-x6-696x464.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/oppo-find-x6-630x420.webp 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>As mentioned, Oppo’s next premium flagship series is expected to arrive in early 2023. The lineup may come with an OLED display bearing a resolution of 1.5K and 2K pixels. The vanilla variant may be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 while the Pro model could be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. They will pack up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Both models are rumored to feature a 1-inch Sony IMX989 primary sensor.</p>

There have been speculations about the specifications of the phone. <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">OPPO</a> itself has announced new technologies which we believe will come with the phone.</p>
<p>Today, OPPO&#8217;s vice president, Brian Shen took to Weibo to reveal some specs of the upcoming device. In his post, he revealed the phone will be powered by a <strong>Snapdragon 855</strong> processor which actually isn&#8217;t surprising. He also added that it will come with 10x<strong> hybrid zoom</strong>. This is most definitely its new 10x zoom technology with a periscope design which it showed off at MWC.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-239799" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/OPPO-Flagship-specs.png?x44794" alt="OPPO Flagship specs" width="729" height="276" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/OPPO-Flagship-specs.png 729w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/OPPO-Flagship-specs-300x114.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 729px) 100vw, 729px" /></p>
<p>Last but not least is the phone&#8217;s battery capacity which is revealed to be <strong>4,065mAh</strong>. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-find-x/">Find X</a> has a 3,730mAh battery which is paired with a 6.42-inch AMOLED display. If the screen size remains the same size on this new flagship, then there should be a significant increase in battery life compared to its predecessor.</p>
<p>While Mr. Brian Shen didn&#8217;t mention support for wireless charging, it is a feature we think the phone will have as OPPO is now a member of the Wireless Power Consortium. OPPO is one of the top manufacturers when it comes to innovations, so we might see them announce a wireless charging technology that rivals <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a>&#8216;s 20W wireless charging technology which is currently the fastest for now.</p>

<p>The Find X launched in June 2018. If OPPO decides to stick to the same timeline, we still have 3 more months before we see this flagship.</p>

Almost all of the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/01/21/huawei-mate-20-pro-is-now-leading-dxomark-along-with-p20-pro-with-109-score/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">new flagship models that are released in the market </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">are subjected to their thorough camera tests. But there are some smartphone companies who opt out of </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dxomark"><span style="font-weight: 400;">DxOMark</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> tests, and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo"><span style="font-weight: 400;">OPPO</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> is one of them. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Earlier today, OPPO’s VP, Brian Shen, questioned the significance of DxOMark benchmarks in today’s smartphone market. While talking to his followers on Weibo, he said that there was no need to set a specific standard when it comes to smartphone cameras. He questioned whether it was right to tune every smartphone camera to one particular standard. </span></p>
<p><figure id="attachment_232218" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-232218" style="width: 720px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/oppo-r17-pro-king-custom-edition-featured.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-232218" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/oppo-r17-pro-king-custom-edition-featured.png?x44794" alt="oppo-r17-pro-king-custom-edition-featured" width="720" height="420" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/oppo-r17-pro-king-custom-edition-featured.png 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/oppo-r17-pro-king-custom-edition-featured-300x175.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-232218" class="wp-caption-text">OPPO&#8217;s flagship, R17 Pro has never been featured in DxOMark</figcaption></figure></p>
<p><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;Do you really need DXO? Do all cameras have to be tuned to the same standard? </span></i></p>
<p><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">I mean, there may be a need for rating agencies, but does anything as subjective as taking a picture have to be set to the same standard? Is it right To beautify everyone into one style?&#8221; </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Brian posted on his Weibo earlier today. </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Interestingly, OPPO smartphones are never rated on DxOMark’s camera tests. As a result, you won’t find a single flagship from the company on </span><a href="https://www.dxomark.com/category/smartphone-reviews/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">DxOMark’s best smartphone camera list</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. On the other hand, you’ll find almost everyone else, including Huawei, Xiaomi, Samsung, Sony and even OnePlus on DxOMark’s chart. </span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/mi-mix-3-dxomark.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-218880" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/mi-mix-3-dxomark.png?x44794" alt="mi mix 3 dxomark" width="1258" height="718" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/mi-mix-3-dxomark.png 1258w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/mi-mix-3-dxomark-300x171.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/mi-mix-3-dxomark-768x438.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/mi-mix-3-dxomark-1024x584.png 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1258px) 100vw, 1258px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This goes on to prove that most companies don’t mind getting their smartphones rated from the benchmarking platform. While I agree one specific standard is never the best way to judge a smartphone camera, what DxOMark gives us is the opportunity to compare the best phones out there on a standard benchmark. Understanding how different smartphone cameras work in a set environment does give us an idea of where it stands among the competition.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">That said, some might prefer </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/google-pixel-3/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Google Pixel 3</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">’s camera (DxoMark score: 107) over <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-mate-20-pro/">H</a></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">uawei Mate 20 Pro</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> (DxOMark score: 109). So there’s definitely a hint of personal preference to a smartphone’s camera performance. But it&#8217;s unlikely that you would end up finding </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/asus-zenfone-5/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Asus Zenfone 5</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">’s camera (much lower down the DxoMark chart at 90 points) better than say something like the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-note9-sd845/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Galaxy Note 9</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> (featuring one of the top DxoMark scores &#8212; 103). </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">What are your thoughts? Should we stop giving too much importance to DxOMark ratings?</span></p>

But what we are really looking forward to its 10X zoom camera phone which is expected to be unveiled in April. OPPO’s VP had something to add about its upcoming 10X zoom flagship phone earlier today. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The phone that’s expected to be launched in April is said to feature a large 48MP camera module. But what’s interesting is that the module will be flat, and won’t protrude out of the back unlike its rivals. </span></p>
<p><figure id="attachment_239422" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-239422" style="width: 1625px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Xiaomi-Mi-9-hands-on-6.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-239422" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Xiaomi-Mi-9-hands-on-6.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Mi 9 hands on (6)" width="1625" height="1080" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Xiaomi-Mi-9-hands-on-6.jpg 1625w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Xiaomi-Mi-9-hands-on-6-300x199.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Xiaomi-Mi-9-hands-on-6-768x510.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Xiaomi-Mi-9-hands-on-6-1024x681.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1625px) 100vw, 1625px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-239422" class="wp-caption-text">Xiaomi Mi 9 has a significant Camera bump</figcaption></figure></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Adding a large 48MP sensor does have its disadvantages. For example, if you look at the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-9-explorer-edition/">Xiaomi Mi 9</a> with a 48MP sensor on its back, the module protrudes quite significantly. However, OPPO’s VP Brian confirmed that the module on its upcoming model will lay flat, despite having a triple camera setup with such a large sensor on board. </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

</ul>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is actually not that surprising. This same phone, which could feature </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/5g"><span style="font-weight: 400;">5G </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">tech, will also feature the company’s new </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/10X-zoom"><span style="font-weight: 400;">10X Zoom</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> tech that it</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/01/16/oppo-announces-10x-hybrid-optical-zoom-technology/"><span style="font-weight: 400;"> showcased back in January</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. Considering the specs revealed back then, this new phone should feature a 48MP primary camera, a 120-degree ultra-wide camera, and a periscopic telephoto camera. What makes this setup even more interesting is the fact that the triple camera module is just 6.76mm thick! Even the volume is limited by squeezing the autofocus motors for the top two cameras in one location.</span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/OPPO-10x-lossless-zoom-triple-camera-featured.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-237856" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/OPPO-10x-lossless-zoom-triple-camera-featured.jpg?x44794" alt="OPPO 10x lossless zoom triple camera featured" width="1200" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/OPPO-10x-lossless-zoom-triple-camera-featured.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/OPPO-10x-lossless-zoom-triple-camera-featured-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/OPPO-10x-lossless-zoom-triple-camera-featured-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/OPPO-10x-lossless-zoom-triple-camera-featured-1024x683.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Furthermore, we know that the phone is expected to feature the flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset on board. The company expects this phone to be a hit as it&#8217;s </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/03/04/oppo-10x-lossless-zoom-camera-smartphone-stock-to-be-around-two-million/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">readying close to two million in stock </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">to avoid shortages in the initial sale period.</span></p>

Now, the company has finally taken the wraps off the R11 as well as its larger sibling, the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">OPPO</a> R11 Plus. This makes them the first Snapdragon 660 smartphone duo in the market, which is an important title given that this chip is going to drive a lot of Chinese flagships in the coming months.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-rose-gold.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-134690" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-rose-gold.jpg?x44794" alt="Oppo R11" width="768" height="768" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-rose-gold.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-rose-gold-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-rose-gold-300x300.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></a></p>
<h2><strong>OPPO R11 &amp; R11 Plus Design</strong></h2>
<p>Design wise, the OPPO R11 doesn&#8217;t disappoint. OPPO phones have always followed a similar design as the iPhone series and the latest R11 and R11 Plus models clearly continue the trend. They look very similar to the iPhone 7 Plus, even in terms of their dual camera placement. I&#8217;m not a big fan of companies copying the design from Apple, but it has worked wonders for OPPO in the past 12 months and there was probably no good reason for the brand to change this strategy.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-gold.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-134691" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-gold.jpg?x44794" alt="Oppo R11" width="768" height="768" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-gold.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-gold-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-gold-300x300.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></a></p>
<p>If you can ignore the striking similarity to the Apple iPhone 7P, the metal built of the phone looks quite good, the antenna band design is unintrusive and the color options are definitely an added plus. There&#8217;s the regular, gold, rose gold and black color options. The bezels on the side look slim and there&#8217;s a fingerprint sensor embedded into the physical home button, just below the display, much like its predecessor, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-r9s/">OPPO R9S</a>.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">RELATED:</span> <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/06/01/oppo-r11-gets-video-treatment-showcasing-new-design-silver/">OPPO R11 Gets the Video Treatment Showcasing Its New Design In Silver</a></strong></p>
<h2><strong>OPPO R11 &amp; R11 Plus Specs</strong></h2>
<p>Unlike most Android manufacturers, OPPO&#8217;s strategy about hardware has been less aggressive. Instead of equipping its flagship models with top of the line processor and memory, the company has always focused on using upper mid-range specs. That&#8217;s not a bad thing as the Snapdragon 660 that powers the OPPO R11 and the R11 Plus is quite a capable chipset, placed just below the top-end Snapdragon 835.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-black.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-134692" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-black.jpg?x44794" alt="Oppo R11" width="768" height="768" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-black.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-black-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/OPPO-R11-black-300x300.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></a></p>
<p>The OPPO R11 and R11 Plus differ in terms of RAM and display sizes. The R11 comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the OPPO R11 Plus features a larger 6-inch display with 1080p resolution, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The batteries are also different, with the R11 coming with a decent 3000mAh capacity battery and the R11 Plus getting a large 4000mAh one. Both naturally get VOOC fast charging support.</p>
<p>In case you are wondering, there&#8217;s MicroSD card support for both the models, but it&#8217;s a hybrid one that either takes 2 x nano SIMs or 1 x nano and 1 x MicroSD card.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><strong>OPPO R11 &amp; R11 Plus Cameras</strong></h2>
<p>OPPO R11 and R11 Plus have the same camera setup. The rear setup consists of a combination of a 16MP f/1.7 aperture Sony IMX398 sensor and one 20MP f/2.6 Sony IMX350 sensor (we have seen this in the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/04/24/zte-axon-7s-details-finally-surface-snapdragon-821-6-gb-ram-dual-rear-camera-larger-battery/">Axon 7S before</a>) with telephoto lens. You can take portrait, bokeh photos and even 4K videos (either in wide-angle or telephoto) from the rear setup. It also comes with 2x optical zoom.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/oppo-r11-2.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-132226" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/oppo-r11-2.png?x44794" alt="OPPO R11" width="631" height="369" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/oppo-r11-2.png 631w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/oppo-r11-2-300x175.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 631px) 100vw, 631px" /></a></p>
<p>As for the front camera, OPPO has used a 20MP f/2.0 aperture sensor to take care of your selfie requirements.</p>
<p>Taking care of the software department is the new Color OS 3.1 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><strong>OPPO R11 &amp; R11 Plus Price &amp; Availability</strong></h2>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/oppo-r11-real3.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-132221" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/oppo-r11-real3.jpg?x44794" alt="OPPO R11" width="690" height="230" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/oppo-r11-real3.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/oppo-r11-real3-300x100.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>Initially, OPPO had announced that it would unveil the OPPO R11 and R11 Plus on June 10. Clearly, the company couldn&#8217;t contain revealing the specs and other details till the earlier mentioned date. But it did leave something for tomorrow i.e. pricing. The company will officially reveal the prices for the variants of OPPO R11 and R11 Plus tomorrow at 9:00 AM.</p>
