<p>Oppo recently unveiled the Oppo K12 Plus in China. The device slightly differs from the Oppo K12, which debuted in the first half of this year in the home market. Apart from the K12 and K12 Plus, the series has an entry-level model called the Oppo K12x. For those unaware, Oppo also offers a K12x with the Dimensity 6300 chip in India and select other markets. However, the K12x available in China has the Snapdragon 695 chip onboard.</p>

<p>Currently, the K12x, K12, and K12 Plus are priced at 1,099 Yuan (~$155), 1,899 Yuan (~$270), and 1,999 Yuan (~$280), respectively, in China. The K12x and K12 have already been rebranded as OnePlus Nord CE models in the global market. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether the K12 Plus will also make its debut as a OnePlus phone globally. Here is what the K12 series offers to the Chinese market.</p>

<h2><strong>Oppo K12 series specifications </strong></h2>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="860" height="720" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12x-China.png?x44794" alt="Oppo K12x" class="wp-image-654940" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12x-China.png 860w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12x-China-300x251.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12x-China-768x643.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12x-China-696x583.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12x-China-502x420.png 502w" sizes="(max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px" /><figcaption>Oppo K12x </figcaption></figure></div>

<h2><strong>Key Differences</strong></h2>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="860" height="720" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12.png?x44794" alt="Oppo K12" class="wp-image-654939" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12.png 860w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-300x251.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-768x643.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-696x583.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-502x420.png 502w" sizes="(max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px" /><figcaption>Oppo K12</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The key differences among the three models lie in their price, processor, camera capabilities, and charging speeds. The K12x is the most budget-friendly option, featuring a less powerful processor and a basic camera setup. The K12 offers a significant upgrade with a higher-resolution main camera and faster charging capabilities. The K12 Plus, while priced similarly to the K12, serves as a slight upgrade by providing a larger battery, which is its primary distinguishing factor.</p>

<h2><strong>What’s the K12 series all about?</strong></h2>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="860" height="720" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-.png?x44794" alt="Oppo K12 Plus-" class="wp-image-654938" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-.png 860w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus--300x251.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus--768x643.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus--696x583.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus--502x420.png 502w" sizes="(max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px" /><figcaption>Oppo K12 Plus</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Oppo K12 series offers affordable smartphones with impressive battery sizes and rapid charging capabilities. This series includes models that boast large batteries ranging from 5,500mAh to 6,400mAh with support for rapid charging, making them ideal for users needing extended usage without frequent recharges. Additionally, the series features high-quality screens, decent camera setups, and robust performance, providing a well-rounded experience for budget-conscious consumers.</p>

</figure>

<p>The Oppo K12x has been rebranded as the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite in markets outside of China. On the other hand, the Oppo K12 is available as the Nord CE 4 globally.</p>

<p>OnePlus’ Nord CE series models, usually include two models, a standard and a Lite model. As far as the Nord CE 4 series is concerned, the brand has already launched the standard Nord CE 4 and Nord CE 4 Lite. Hence, there is no clarity on whether the K12 Plus will be rebranded as a Nord CE 4 series phone in the global market.</p>

It’s a mid-range offering with a focus on a large battery and a smooth display, with a capable camera system thrown in for good measure. Let’s get into the details here.</p>

<h2><strong>Oppo K12 Plus Specifications</strong></h2>

<p>The K12 Plus runs on the Qualcomm <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/11/17/qualcomm-announces-snapdragon-7-gen-3-mobile-platform/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Snapdragon 7 Gen 3</a> processor, a chip well-suited for everyday tasks and some light gaming. It comes with Oppo&#8217;s ColorOS 14 skin on top of Android 14. Storage options range from 8GB/256GB to a hefty 12GB/512GB.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-launch-specs-price-1-1024x512.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-654835" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-launch-specs-price-1-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-launch-specs-price-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-launch-specs-price-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-launch-specs-price-1-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-launch-specs-price-1-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-launch-specs-price-1-840x420.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-launch-specs-price-1.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>On the front, the smartphone features a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel pushing a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and a claimed peak brightness of 1100 nits for better outdoor visibility. The display also supports the P3 wide color gamut and boasts a 240Hz touch sampling rate for a more responsive gaming experience.  </p>

<p>On the back, the K12 Plus keeps things simple with a dual-camera setup. The main sensor is a 50MP shooter, likely accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens. For selfies, a 16MP front-facing camera handles your video calls and social media snaps.  </p>

<p>The phone packs a massive 6400mAh battery, which should offer all-day use for even power users. Oppo complements this with its 80W wired fast charging.</p>

<p>Connectivity options are comprehensive, with 5G support alongside the usual Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. It also features a USB Type-C port with OTG capabilities and an under-display fingerprint scanner for added security.</p>

<p>The Oppo K12 was <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/04/24/oppo-k12-launched/">launched</a> in April this year with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip. The upcoming phone has already appeared on Geekbench with a single and multi-core score of 744 and 2573 respectively.</p>

<h2>Oppo K12 Plus specifications:</h2>

<p>The phone packs a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display on the front and a 6400 mAh battery inside, which supports 80W fast charging. However, despite packing a massive battery, the phone maintains a sleek form factor, measuring 162.47×75.33×8.37mm and weighing only 193 grams.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="594" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-teaser-2-1024x594.webp?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-654218" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-teaser-2-1024x594.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-teaser-2-300x174.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-teaser-2-768x446.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-teaser-2-696x404.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-teaser-2-1068x620.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-teaser-2-723x420.webp 723w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-teaser-2.webp 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>While the company hasn&#8217;t revealed much about the phone yet, it was previously rumored to equip the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, the same chip that is used by the standard model. However, the moniker suggests that there could be a performance improvement, which can be achieved with better thermal management and a different software tuning. Nonetheless, nothing is concrete about it, and readers should take it with a pinch of salt.</p>

<p>The overall design language of the Plus model is also expected to resemble the one the company released in April this year. To give you a clearer picture of what to expect, here&#8217;s a rundown of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-k12/">Oppo K12</a>&#8216;s specifications.</p>

<p>The K12&#8217;s display reaches a peak brightness of 1100 nits and has an FHD+ resolution, which translates into a pixel density of 394ppi. This phone packs UFS 3.1 fast storage chips and comes in a total of three storage and memory configurations: 256GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 12GB RAM, and 512GB 12GB RAM.</p>

<p>Speaking of cameras, the K12 packs a 50MP + 8MP dual camera setup on the back, paired with a 16MP selfie shooter.</p>

<p>When it comes to powering up the device, it supports 100W wired fast charging, so users can expect a similar (if not faster) charging speed with the Plus model.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">Oppo</a> is reportedly working on a new K-series phone for the Chinese market. Rumor has it that the upcoming Oppo PKS110 smartphone, recently approved by China&#8217;s radio certification platform and spotted in Geekbench&#8217;s database, could be the upcoming Oppo K12 Plus. The same device has now appeared in TENAA’s database, revealing its entire specifications.</p>

<h3><strong>Oppo K12 Plus specifications (rumored)</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="614" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-1024x614.png?x44794" alt="Oppo K12 Plus" class="wp-image-653313" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-1024x614.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-300x180.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-768x461.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-696x417.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-1068x640.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-700x420.png 700w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus.png 1114w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Oppo K12 Plus</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>According to the K12 Plus’ TENAA listing, it features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that produces an FHD+ resolution. The listing does not mention it, but it appears that the screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate. It will feature an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security.</p>

<p>The listing indicates that a 2.4GHz octa-core chip powers the Oppo K12 Plus. Its Geekbench listing has already revealed that it features the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-7-gen-3">Snapdragon 7 Gen 3</a>. The handset is expected to arrive in 8 GB / 12 GB RAM variants and 256 GB / 512 GB storage options in China. The device is expected to pack <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/26/oppo-k12-plus-leak-6400mah-battery-snapdragon-7-series-chip/">a 6,400mAh battery (typical value) with 80W charging</a>. However, the TENAA only mentions the rated value of the battery as 6,220mAh.</p>

<p>The Oppo K12 Plus will have a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. On the back, it has a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The phone is expected to run on ColorOS 14-based Android 14. The device will measure 162.47 x 75.33 x 8.37 mm and weigh 193 grams. The images of the phone have not appeared in TENAA’s database. However, an Oppo executive has already shared an official image of the phone to showcase the K12 Plus&#8217; rear design. The phone&#8217;s design is consistent with other K-series phones announced earlier this year.</p>

<p>To recall, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/04/24/oppo-k12-launched/">Oppo K12</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/05/20/oppo-k12x-first-sale-china/">K12x</a> released in China earlier this year were rebadged as the OnePlus Nord CE 4 and the Nord CE 4 Lite globally. At present, there is no clarity on whether there will be a K12 Plus&#8217; renamed version for the global market.</p>

<p>There have been rumors that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">Oppo</a> is working on a new K-series phone for the Chinese market. Initial reports claimed that the brand might be working on the K13 series. However, today&#8217;s leak from tipster Digital Chat Station indicates that the Oppo K12 Plus will be the name of the upcoming K-series phone. This moniker implies that it will rank higher than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 powered Oppo K12, which made its debut in April of this year.</p>

<h3><strong>Oppo K12 Plus key specifications leaked</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="960" height="265" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/image-146.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-652135" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/image-146.png 960w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/image-146-300x83.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/image-146-768x212.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/image-146-696x192.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px" /></figure></div>

<p>According to the tipster, the upcoming Oppo K12 Plus’ design will be similar to the Oppo K12. It will have a flat display on the front and most likely a vertical camera unit on the back, like the K12. The K12 has been available in shades like Celadon Marble and Dark Chrome. DCS claims that the K12 Plus will also come in a white option.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the Oppo K12 Plus will have the Snapdragon 7 series chipset and a massive 6,400mAh battery. Recently, an Oppo smartphone with model number PKS110 was spotted in the database of the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The listing revealed that the device is equipped with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-7-gen-3">Snapdragon 7 Gen 3</a> chipset, 12 GB of RAM, and Android 14.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="704" height="930" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Oppo-PKS110-Geekbench.png?x44794" alt="Oppo PKS110 Geekbench" class="wp-image-652136" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Oppo-PKS110-Geekbench.png 704w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Oppo-PKS110-Geekbench-227x300.png 227w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Oppo-PKS110-Geekbench-696x919.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Oppo-PKS110-Geekbench-318x420.png 318w" sizes="(max-width: 704px) 100vw, 704px" /><figcaption>Oppo PKS110 Geekbench listing</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Likely, the Oppo PKS110 phone could be the forthcoming Oppo K12 Plus. According to a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/15/upcoming-oppo-k-series-phone-to-pack-snapdragon-7-gen-3-6500mah-battery-80w-charging-and-more/">recent report</a>, the device might feature an OLED FHD+ screen, a 50-megapixel primary camera, and support for 80W rapid charging.</p>

<p>There is no official confirmation about the Oppo K12 Plus’ existence. However, now that the rumor mill is actively leaking its details, it may go official by the end of this month in China.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-featured--1024x683.png?x44794" alt="Oppo K12" class="wp-image-620828" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-featured--1024x683.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-featured--300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-featured--768x512.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-featured--696x464.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-featured--1068x712.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-featured--630x420.png 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-featured-.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Oppo K12</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>To recall, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/04/24/oppo-k12-launched/">Oppo K12</a> was a rebranded version of the OnePlus Nord CE 4, whereas the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/05/20/oppo-k12x-first-sale-china/">K12x</a> (Chinese edition) was a repackaged edition of the Nord CE 4 Lite. Hence, there is a possibility that the K12 Plus may get rebranded as a Nord CE series phone in the global market.</p>
