<p>Oppo recently unveiled the Oppo K12 Plus in China. The device slightly differs from the Oppo K12, which debuted in the first half of this year in the home market. Apart from the K12 and K12 Plus, the series has an entry-level model called the Oppo K12x. For those unaware, Oppo also offers a K12x with the Dimensity 6300 chip in India and select other markets. However, the K12x available in China has the Snapdragon 695 chip onboard.</p>

<p>Currently, the K12x, K12, and K12 Plus are priced at 1,099 Yuan (~$155), 1,899 Yuan (~$270), and 1,999 Yuan (~$280), respectively, in China. The K12x and K12 have already been rebranded as OnePlus Nord CE models in the global market. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether the K12 Plus will also make its debut as a OnePlus phone globally. Here is what the K12 series offers to the Chinese market.</p>

<h2><strong>Oppo K12 series specifications </strong></h2>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="860" height="720" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12x-China.png?x44794" alt="Oppo K12x" class="wp-image-654940" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12x-China.png 860w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12x-China-300x251.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12x-China-768x643.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12x-China-696x583.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12x-China-502x420.png 502w" sizes="(max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px" /><figcaption>Oppo K12x </figcaption></figure></div>

<h2><strong>Key Differences</strong></h2>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="860" height="720" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12.png?x44794" alt="Oppo K12" class="wp-image-654939" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12.png 860w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-300x251.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-768x643.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-696x583.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-502x420.png 502w" sizes="(max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px" /><figcaption>Oppo K12</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The key differences among the three models lie in their price, processor, camera capabilities, and charging speeds. The K12x is the most budget-friendly option, featuring a less powerful processor and a basic camera setup. The K12 offers a significant upgrade with a higher-resolution main camera and faster charging capabilities. The K12 Plus, while priced similarly to the K12, serves as a slight upgrade by providing a larger battery, which is its primary distinguishing factor.</p>

<h2><strong>What’s the K12 series all about?</strong></h2>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="860" height="720" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-.png?x44794" alt="Oppo K12 Plus-" class="wp-image-654938" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus-.png 860w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus--300x251.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus--768x643.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus--696x583.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Oppo-K12-Plus--502x420.png 502w" sizes="(max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px" /><figcaption>Oppo K12 Plus</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Oppo K12 series offers affordable smartphones with impressive battery sizes and rapid charging capabilities. This series includes models that boast large batteries ranging from 5,500mAh to 6,400mAh with support for rapid charging, making them ideal for users needing extended usage without frequent recharges. Additionally, the series features high-quality screens, decent camera setups, and robust performance, providing a well-rounded experience for budget-conscious consumers.</p>

<p>The Oppo K12x has been rebranded as the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite in markets outside of China. On the other hand, the Oppo K12 is available as the Nord CE 4 globally.</p>

<p>OnePlus’ Nord CE series models, usually include two models, a standard and a Lite model. As far as the Nord CE 4 series is concerned, the brand has already launched the standard Nord CE 4 and Nord CE 4 Lite. Hence, there is no clarity on whether the K12 Plus will be rebranded as a Nord CE 4 series phone in the global market.</p>

<h2><strong>Oppo K12 vs Oppo K12x: Design and colours</strong></h2>

<p><strong>Oppo K12:</strong></p>

<p>The OPPO K12 is an impressive looking device that packs all the design elements you&#8217;ll need in a smartphone. From the first glance at this device, it’ll be clear to you that the design team at OPPO took their time with this device. It comes with a clean finish on its rear panel, with vertically stacked rear cameras and a ring-shaped flash. The island of the rear cameras is elevated above the device’s rear panel, while leaving each camera cutout to stand individually. On the right side of its flat frame are the power button and volume rocker keys, on the base sits the USB-C port, speakers, a microphone, and the SIM tray. At the top of the device sits the upwards firing speaker, this leaves the left side of the frame bare. Available colours on this device are Celadon Marble, Dark Chrome.</p>

<p><strong>Oppo K12x:</strong></p>

<p>The only differences in the design of the OPPO K12x is the ring-shaped flash is dropped for two individual flashes. Also on the left side of the device’s frame sits the SIM tray, it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack that sits next to the USB-C port, the microphone, and speaker. Available colours on this device are Gray, Light Green.</p>

<p><strong>Major differences:</strong></p>

<h2><strong>Oppo K12 vs Oppo K12x: Final Verdict</strong></h2>

<p>For most buyers, if you don’t want to spend much, it&#8217;s ideal to go for the Oppo K12x. However, if money isn’t a determining factor for your purchase, then it’s better to purchase the Oppo K12. The K12 gives you a better screen, better cameras, improved performance, and faster charging. While the K12x is a great device, it doesn’t match up with the Oppo K12 in a lot of areas, making the latter, the better purchase overall.</p>

<p>Reports have claimed that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">Oppo</a> will soon launch the Oppo K12 in China. Today, the brand released an official confirmation that the K12 will break cover on April 24 in China. The below post not only confirms its rear design but also the color options.</p>

<h3><strong>Oppo K12: what to expect?</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="550" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-launch-date-550x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Oppo K12 launch date" class="wp-image-620248" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-launch-date-550x1024.jpg 550w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-launch-date-161x300.jpg 161w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-launch-date-768x1429.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-launch-date-825x1536.jpg 825w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-launch-date-696x1295.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-launch-date-1068x1988.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-launch-date-226x420.jpg 226w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-launch-date.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" /><figcaption>Oppo K12 launch date</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Oppo K12 will be available in black and green hues. The back panel of the device features a vertical dual-camera system. The teaser video below reveals the K12&#8217;s flat display.</p>

<p>While the company has revealed the design of the K12, it is yet to confirm anything about its specifications. As per reports, the K12 will be a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/03/05/oppo-k12-launching-soon-key-specifications-tipped/">rebranded version</a> of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G, which recently debuted in India.</p>

<h3><strong>Oppo K12 specifications</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-video aligncenter"><video controls src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Brands-首页-微博_2.mp4"></video></figure>

<p>The Oppo K12 is likely to offer the same specs that are available on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-nord-ce-4/">OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G</a>. The device features a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-7-gen-3">Snapdragon 7 Gen 3</a> chipset, LPDDR4x RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. Speculation suggests that the K12 will feature up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of built-in storage, whereas the Nord CE 4 offers 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.</p>

<p>The K12 is likely to pack a 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. For photography, it may feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) lens. The phone is expected to run on ColorOS 14-based Android 14.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oppo-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Oppo </a>may launch the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo-k12/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">K12</a> smartphone in China next week, likely as a rebranded version of the recently launched <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-nord-ce-4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus Nord CE 4</a>. The information comes courtesy of reliable tipster Digital Chat Station who shared an image of the phone revealing its design.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-Design-Launch.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-619007" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-Design-Launch.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-Design-Launch-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-Design-Launch-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-Design-Launch-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-Design-Launch-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The leaked image shows the phone’s design identical to the Nord CE 4, with the only difference being the Oppo logo replacing the OnePlus logo on the back.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Moreover, the performance benchmark for the K12 also surfaced on the Geekbench database under the model number PJR110. The smartphone scored 1134 in single-core and 2975 in multi-core tests.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="447" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-Geekbench.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-619008" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-Geekbench.jpg 447w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-Geekbench-224x300.jpg 224w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oppo-K12-Geekbench-313x420.jpg 313w" sizes="(max-width: 447px) 100vw, 447px" /></figure></div>

<p>The listing also sheds light on the processor &#8211; an octa-core chipset codenamed &#8220;Crow&#8221; paired with an Adreno 720 GPU. This confirms the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. The K12 is expected to come in variants with up to 12GB of RAM and run on ColorOS 14 based on Android 14.</p>

<p>According to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/03/05/oppo-k12-launching-soon-key-specifications-tipped/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">earlier reports,</a> the Oppo K12 will come with a 6.74-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the front, a 16-megapixel selfie camera is rumored, while the rear camera system might boast a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.</p>

<p>Storage options could range up to 512GB UFS 3.1, paired with the aforementioned 12GB LPDDR4x RAM in the top-end variant. Powering the device will likely be a 5,500mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging.</p>

<p>Other expected feature includes dual stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and an IR blaster.</p>

<p>With the rumored launch not far off, Oppo might soon confirm its official launch date within the next few days.</p>

<p>Recent reports have claimed that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">Oppo</a> may soon announce the Oppo K12 as its first K-series phone of the year in China. Recently, tipster Digital Chat Station released a Weibo post to confirm the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/03/05/oppo-k12-launching-soon-key-specifications-tipped/">key specifications of the device</a>. In a newer Weibo post, the leaker has published a schematic of the Oppo K12 to reveal its design.</p>

<h3><strong>Oppo K12 schematic</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-style-default"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/OPPO-K12-schematic-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="OPPO K12 schematic" class="wp-image-609697" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/OPPO-K12-schematic-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/OPPO-K12-schematic-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/OPPO-K12-schematic-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/OPPO-K12-schematic-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/OPPO-K12-schematic-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/OPPO-K12-schematic-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/OPPO-K12-schematic.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>OPPO K12 schematic by DCS</figcaption></figure>

<p>The Oppo K12 schematic shows that it has a punch-hole OLED panel on the front, which seems to be integrated with a fingerprint scanner. On the back, it has two cameras and an LED flash placed on an elevated module at the top-left corner.</p>

<p>The K12’s schematic also shows the presence of an alert slider on the left side. The right edge of the phone features a volume rocker and a power key. It appears that the K12 will have a dual speaker system, with one most likely placed in the bottom edge, and the other one lodged in the top bezel.</p>

<h3><strong>Oppo K12 specifications (rumored)</strong></h3>

<p>The Oppo K12 rumors have revealed that it will feature a 6.7-inch OLED panel that produces a 1.5K resolution and possibly a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will come equipped with pre-installed ColorOS 14-based Android 14.</p>

<p>On the front, it will feature a 16-megapixel camera and its rear shell will have a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/01/22/oppo-k12-tipped-to-feature-snapdragon-7-gen-3-chipset/">Under the hood</a>, the device will have the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-7-gen-3">Snapdragon 7 Gen 3</a> chipset, 12 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="619" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/ONePlus-Ace-3V-leaked-shot-619x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="ONePlus Ace 3V leaked shot" class="wp-image-609662" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/ONePlus-Ace-3V-leaked-shot-619x1024.jpg 619w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/ONePlus-Ace-3V-leaked-shot-181x300.jpg 181w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/ONePlus-Ace-3V-leaked-shot-768x1271.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/ONePlus-Ace-3V-leaked-shot-928x1536.jpg 928w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/ONePlus-Ace-3V-leaked-shot-1238x2048.jpg 1238w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/ONePlus-Ace-3V-leaked-shot-696x1152.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/ONePlus-Ace-3V-leaked-shot-1068x1767.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/ONePlus-Ace-3V-leaked-shot-254x420.jpg 254w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/ONePlus-Ace-3V-leaked-shot.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 619px) 100vw, 619px" /><figcaption>ONePlus Ace 3V leaked shot</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>There is no information about the battery size or charging capabilities of the phone. It appears that it may inherit the 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support from the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-k11/">Oppo K11</a>, which debuted last year. To recall, the Oppo K11 5G and the OnePlus Ace 2V sported a similar design but packed different internals. It appears that Oppo will use the same strategy for the upcoming Oppo K12 and Ace 3V. A<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/03/07/oneplus-ace-3v-live-shot-appears-to-reveal-redesigned-camera-module/"> leaked image</a> (shown below) of the Ace 3V showcases a camera module that’s quite similar to the above schematic. Therefore, it seems that the K12 and Ace 3V may have a similar appearance but different internals, as the latter is said to come equipped with the more powerful Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset.</p>

<p>In January, tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">Oppo</a> K12 would <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/01/22/oppo-k12-tipped-to-feature-snapdragon-7-gen-3-chipset/">come equipped</a> with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-7-gen-3">Snapdragon 7 Gen 3</a> chipset. Today, the same tipster released a new Weibo post to reveal other details about the smartphone. While the leaker has not mentioned the launch timeframe of the device, it appears that it may not take too long for it to break cover in China.</p>

<h2><strong>Oppo K12 specifications (rumored)</strong></h2>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="954" height="410" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/image-22.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-609201" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/image-22.png 954w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/image-22-300x129.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/image-22-768x330.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/image-22-696x299.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 954px) 100vw, 954px" /></figure></div>

<p>According to DCS, the Oppo K12 will feature a 6.7-inch display, which seems to be an AMOLED panel. Under the hood, the device will have the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, 12 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage.</p>

<p>There is no information about the battery size or charging capabilities of the K12. On the front, the device will feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and it will have a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual-camera unit on the back.</p>

<p>It is unclear whether the Oppo K12 will inherit the display, camera, and battery specs from the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-k11/">Oppo K11</a>, which was announced in July 2023 in China. To recall, the K11 came equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-782g">Snapdragon 782G</a> chipset, up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of storage, a 16-megapixel front camera, and an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel (Sony IMX890) + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit.</p>

<p>The OnePlus Nord CE 3, which was released in the global market last year, was a tweaked version of the Oppo K11. Therefore, it is likely that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/02/12/oppo-k12-specs-leak/">Nord CE 4 or 5</a> heading to the global market this year could be based on the K12.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="551" height="483" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Screenshot-2023-07-19-213234.png?x44794" alt="Oppo K11" class="wp-image-552348" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Screenshot-2023-07-19-213234.png 551w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Screenshot-2023-07-19-213234-300x263.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Screenshot-2023-07-19-213234-479x420.png 479w" sizes="(max-width: 551px) 100vw, 551px" /><figcaption>Oppo K11</figcaption></figure>

<h3><strong>Oppo K12 may not be a huge upgrade over Oppo K11</strong></h3>

<p>According to Chinese tipster <a href="https://weibo.com/5888095979/O06jOnMgj"><em>Smart Pikachu</em></a> on Weibo, the Oppo K12 will flaunt a flat display and a right-angle (flat) frame. In other words, it will be similar to its predecessor <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-k11/">Oppo K11</a>.</p>

<p>Further, the leaker says that the device will support 100W fast wired charging. Also, it will sport a decentralized flagship camera sensor. These specs again match its forerunner.</p>

<p>Lastly, the source reveals that the phone will be powered by a new Qualcomm Snadraagon 7 series chip. Thanks to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/01/22/oppo-k12-tipped-to-feature-snapdragon-7-gen-3-chipset/">previous leak</a> by Digital Chat Station, we know that the handset will house a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.</p>

<p>This means the only major upgrade on the Oppo K12 will be its chipset. Perhaps, it may also arrive with an updated main camera.</p>

<p>Lastly, Smart Pikachu claims that the device will be priced around ¥2,000 (~$280), just like its predecessor. He also mentions that there will be a OnePlus smartphone with the same feature set.</p>

<p>Since Oppo K11 was released outside mainland China as <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-nord-ce-3/">OnePlus Nord CE 3</a> (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/01/oneplus-nord-ce-3-review/">review</a>), the forthcoming Oppo K12 will likely be called OnePlus Nord CE 4 in global markets.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, we don’t have info on the launch timeline for either of these products.</p>

<p>The Oppo K series is a lower mid-range smartphone lineup. The company sells phones under this name in both China as well as select global markets.</p>

<p>However, the models sold in China are different from the ones available in international markets. The Chinese variants offer better features at a competitive price.</p>

<p>The Oppo K11 is the current-gen K series phone in China. It <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/07/25/oppo-k11-launched-with-120hz-amoled-display-snapdragon-782g-100w-charging/">was launched</a> in late July 2023 and is due for a successor whose chipset name has now leaked.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="690" height="388" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Oppo-K11-press-render.webp?x44794" alt="Oppo-K11-press-render" class="wp-image-553370" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Oppo-K11-press-render.webp 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Oppo-K11-press-render-300x169.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /><figcaption>Oppo K11</figcaption></figure>

<h3><strong>Oppo K12 to house a Qualcomm silicon like its forerunner</strong></h3>

<p>According to <a href="https://weibo.com/6048569942/ND1mmcFJo"><em>Digital Chat Station</em></a>, the upcoming Oppo K12 will be powered by a Qualcomm SM7500 chip. This model number belongs to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/11/17/qualcomm-announces-snapdragon-7-gen-3-mobile-platform/">Snapdragon 7 Gen 3</a> SoC.</p>

<p>Currently, there’s not a single handset on the market featuring this chipset. But since the chip is official, we know that it is a downgrade from its predecessor Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, the tipster did not spill the beans on other aspects of the Oppo K12. However, he hints in a reply to a comment that the price-to-performance ratio will be fine but the display will not be impressive.</p>

<p>For comparison, its predecessor <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-k11/">Oppo K11</a> arrives with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G chip. It sports a 6.7-inch flat AMOLED display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) and a 120Hz refresh rate.</p>

<p>It houses a triple camera system on the rear consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera.</p>

<p>Other features include dual stereo speakers, a MicroSD card slot, a 5,00mAh battery, and 100W wired charging support.</p>

<p>The Oppo K11 goes by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-nord-ce-3/">OnePlus Nord CE 3</a> in global markets. Therefore, the forthcoming Oppo K12 could be rebranded as OnePlus Nord CE 4.</p>
