Earlier this year, Oppo unveiled the K15 Pro, K15 Pro+, K15 Turbo, and K15 Turbo Pro in China. Now, the company is preparing to unveil the standard Oppo K15, which has appeared on the official Oppo Shop with its design and major specifications. The smartphone is scheduled to launch in China on July 24.

Oppo K15 Design and key specifications confirmed

The official listing reveals that the Oppo K15 adopts a design similar to the K15 Pro series. It features a flat frame, a rectangular camera module, and the K15 Pro-series’ signature breathing light integrated into the rear panel.

The listing confirms a 6.59-inch display, although the panel’s resolution and refresh rate remain under wraps. It will feature the Dimensity 7360 Super chipset alongside Oppo’s Tide Engine for enhanced performance.

The device packs an 8,000mAh Glacier battery with support for 80W fast charging and includes a next-generation cooling system with a 4,950mm² VC heat dissipation plate. Oppo also claims the internal cooling fan has been tested for a five-year lifespan.

The Oppo K15 features a 50-megapixel OIS-enabled main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel front-facing camera. It will run on ColorOS 16-based Android 16.

The K15 has passed eight military-grade durability tests and carries IP69 certification for dust and water resistance, supports dual-band GPS and tri-frequency BeiDou positioning, and includes Oppo’s Shanhai Communication technology for improved connectivity.

The Oppo K15 is set to launch in China on July 24, with sales beginning the same day at 10:00 AM local time. It appears the device will be available in a sole 12GB+256GB configuration. Buyers will be available in two shades, such as Royal White and Gale Grey.

A new Oppo smartphone appears to be inching closer to launch in China. A device carrying the model number PYD110 has now surfaced on the TENAA certification platform, revealing several key specifications ahead of its official debut. While Oppo has not confirmed the marketing name yet, Chinese tech bloggers believe the handset could launch as the Oppo K15, joining the Oppo K15 Pro and Oppo K15 Pro+, which went official in April in China.

The TENAA listing suggests that the alleged Oppo K15 could arrive with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1256 x 2760 pixels. The panel is also expected to support an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock functionality. The device measures 158.3 x 75.13 x 8.27mm and weighs 205 grams.

The certification reveals a rated battery capacity of 7,755mAh, indicating that the typical capacity could be around 8,000mAh when officially announced. There’s no information about the fast-charging capabilities of this device.

Under the hood, the smartphone is listed with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz. While the chipset name remains unknown, the device is expected to be offered in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, paired with 256GB and 512GB storage options.

For photography, the listing points to a dual rear camera setup consisting of two 50-megapixel sensors. On the front, the phone is expected to feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera. Other features mentioned in the listing include an infrared blaster, Bluetooth, and a USB-C. The K15’s images, which are available in TENAA’s database, suggest that it may not have a built-in fan like the K15 Pro models.

Last month, Oppo unveiled the Oppo K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ gaming-focused phones in China. A new leak now suggests that the brand could be preparing to expand the lineup with the vanilla Oppo K15. The first details of the upcoming device have also surfaced.

According to tipster Bald Panda, the upcoming Oppo K15 series phone, which may arrive with an additional suffix in its final branding, will feature a 6.78-inch LTPS screen that supports a 1.5K resolution. It is said to house a massive 8,000mAh battery within a body measuring 8.8mm in thickness and weighing 213 grams. The tipster further revealed that the device is powered by a 2.6GHz processor, but did not disclose the exact chipset name.

The K15 appears to be the Oppo PYR110, which recently appeared in TENAA’s database. The listing revealed that its 6.78-inch AMOLED panel supports a 1.5K resolution of 2772 x 1272 pixels. Its rated battery capacity is listed as 7,820mAh, while the typical value could be around 8,000mAh.

The K15 is expected to arrive with 6GB / 8GB / 12GB / 16GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB / 512GB / 1TB storage options. It may feature a 16-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual-camera setup on the back. Other expected features include an in-screen fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster.

Coming back to the chipset, Qualcomm recently unveiled the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip, which clocks at 2.6GHz. During the launch, the company stated that Oppo would be among the first brands to adopt the new chip. Since the K15 has also been spotted with a 2.6GHz octa-core processor, it remains to be seen whether it will indeed feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. MediaTek also has a 2.6GHz octa-core chip in its Dimensity lineup. Hence, it is advisable to wait for further reports to know about the device’s chip.
