These display specs are in line with a previous leak from the same tipster. This screen could offer a 7:5 screen ratio and a peak brightness of 900 nits. Under the hood, it is expected to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

This processor is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. A massive 9,510mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 67W wired fast charging. It will likely run on the Android 14 OS based ColorOS custom skin out of the box. Digital Chat Station further added that the Oppo Pad 3 will come with an all-metal body with a sleek design.

For photography, the tablet features an 8-megapixel selfie shooter on the front and a 13-megapixel camera on the back. The tipster also adds that the tablet will offer a 3K LCD display which could be slightly larger than its predecessor. As for the internals, the tablet will feature a cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Previous reports have revealed that the tablet will feature an all-metal body.

In November 2023, Oppo unveiled the Reno 11 series of smartphones in China. Recent reports revealed that the brand is currently working on the Reno 12 series of smartphones for the Chinese market. In addition to the Reno 12 lineup, the brand is reportedly developing the Oppo Pad 3 tablet and the Enco X3 TWS earbuds. In the latest leak, tipster Digital Chat Station has mentioned the launch timeframes of these devices.

DCS revealed that new products such as the Oppp Reno 12 / 12 Pro, Pad 3, and Enco X3 are already in the pipeline, with material production trials underway. Recent reports have claimed that the Reno 12 duo will feature an OLED panel with micro curvature on all four sides. It will offer a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Reno 12 will feature the Dimensity 8200 chipset, whereas the Pro model may pack the Dimensity 9200 Plus. Both phones are likely to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

To recall, the predecessor came with an aluminum frame, and the next-gen model will also boast an all-metal unibody. This means that we can expect a premium design on the rear.

Digital Chat Station says that the OPPO Pad 3 will boast an all-metal unibody. The exact screen size remains unclear but the tipster mentions it as a conventional large-screen tablet. Additionally, it will bear a screen resolution of 3K pixels. The device will likely offer a Panoramic Virtual Screen that is found on the Find N3 (review). It will create an illusion of a larger display when viewed up close. 

As per DCS, the OPPO Pad 3 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It will be coupled with 16GB RAM for powerful performance and seamless multitasking. Oppo was previously rumored to be testing the upcoming Pad 3 tablet with the latest flagship chips from both Qualcomm and MediaTek – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the Dimensity 9300. The launch of the product was reportedly delayed. For context, this tablet is going to be the successor of the Oppo Pad 2, which was launched in March last year.

Oppo has chosen the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the Pad 3

The same tipster who revealed the information above, Digital Chat Station (translated), has now reported on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website) that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is “basically finalized” for the Pad 3. Not to mention, it means the best available performance capabilities for the upcoming tablet.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 boasts 1 x Cortex-X4 prime core which reaches up to 3.3GHz. Additionally, it equips 5 x Cortex-A720 performance-focused cores and 2 x Cortex-A520 energy-efficient cores, which reach up to 3.2 GHz and 2.3 GHz respectively. As per Qualcomm, this chip is 30% faster and 20% energy efficient as compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which was also powerful and power efficient as compared to the Oppo Pad 2’s Dimensity 9000 chipset. So, the Pad 3 is likely going to be significantly more capable than its predecessor.

Unfortunately, this is all the information the tipster revealed. However, we can refer to the predecessor to get an idea of what to expect. The Oppo Pad 2 is equipped with an 11.61″ 144Hz high resolution (2000 x 2800, 296PPI) that reaches a peak brightness of 500 nits. The device was launched with Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1. It also supports a stylus with 2ms latency.

Speaking of the build and design, the Pad 2 boasts a glass front and aluminum frame, weighs 552 grams, and is only 6.5mm thick. For those unaware, the Oppo Pad 2 is very similar in terms of both looks and specification to the OnePlus Pad, which was launched just a month before it.
