<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oppo-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Oppo</a> is getting ready to launch a compact tablet called the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo-pad-mini/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Oppo Pad Mini</a>, aimed at users who want a better gaming and media experience than what a smartphone offers. The company has confirmed a global launch on April 21, where it will debut alongside the Find X9 Ultra. Pricing has not been announced yet.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="744" height="481" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-13-124856.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-734486" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-13-124856.png 744w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-13-124856-300x194.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-13-124856-696x450.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-13-124856-650x420.png 650w" sizes="(max-width: 744px) 100vw, 744px" /></figure></div>

<p>From what has been shared through teasers and leaks, the Pad Mini will feature an 8.8-inch OLED display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet is expected to be very thin at 5.39mm and weigh around 279 grams, making it noticeably slimmer and lighter than devices like Lenovo’s Legion Tab Gen 5.</p>

</figure>

<p>It is also expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. While this processor is said to be about 30 percent slower than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 used in Lenovo’s tablet, it should still deliver strong performance for gaming and everyday tasks.</p>

<p>Other details point to an 8000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. The front is expected to have a punch-hole camera and thin bezels around the display.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/04/oppo-pad-mini-leaks-again-8-8-144hz-ltpo-oled-8000mah-battery-within-279g-build/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Earlier leaks</a> had already filled in more of the picture. The display is said to have a 2880×1920 resolution, with LTPO tech that can scale the refresh rate from 1Hz to 144Hz. Peak brightness is tipped at 1800 nits, along with full DCI-P3 color support.</p>

<p>The tablet is also expected to use a unibody metal design and come in dark gray, purple, and cyan. On the back, it may include a 13MP camera in a capsule-style module. There is also mention of eSIM support, which could allow it to work without relying only on Wi-Fi.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oppo-2/">Oppo</a>’s upcoming Pad Mini has now appeared on Geekbench, offering an early look at its performance. The listing, tied to the model number OPD2515, gives us a clearer idea of what to expect ahead of its April 21 launch in China.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-733951" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-696x391.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-1068x600.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser.png 1334w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>According to the benchmark, the tablet scores 2,762 in single-core and 9,037 in multi-core. More importantly, it confirms the use of Qualcomm’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/26/snapdragon-8-gen-5-launched/">Snapdragon 8 Gen 5</a> chip. That places it just below the very top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.</p>

<p>Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite (as seen in devices like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/06/oneplus-pas-3-global-launch/">OnePlus Pad 3</a>), the gap doesn’t look too wide. Single-core performance is said to be around 14% lower, while multi-core numbers are much closer, with only a small difference. In practical terms, that should still be more than enough for most popular titles on the Google Play Store. The listing also confirms Android 16 and 12GB of RAM.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="677" height="906" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-geekbench.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-733950" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-geekbench.png 677w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-geekbench-224x300.png 224w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-geekbench-314x420.png 314w" sizes="(max-width: 677px) 100vw, 677px" /></figure></div>

<p>The company <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/08/oppo-pad-mini-teaser-flaunts-unusually-slim-symmetrical-bezels/">shared a video teaser</a> yesterday, showing slim, even bezels all around. The centered hole-punch camera sits on the shorter side. Beyond that, earlier leaks point to an 8.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and support for up to 144Hz refresh rate.</p>

<p>Battery capacity is expected to be around 8,000mAh, with 67W fast charging. The tablet is also said to be quite slim at 5.39mm and weigh about 279g, so portability seems to be a big focus here.</p>

<p>Oppo is also rumored to be working on <a href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwjpgIDfmuCTAxVNh68BHW4oIE8QFnoECBwQAQ&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gizmochina.com%2F2026%2F03%2F15%2Foppo-pad-5-pro-spec-leak-reveals-snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5-chipset-13000mah-battery-and-more%2F&amp;usg=AOvVaw2bMwBygQH19g45HxIfTqFu&amp;opi=89978449">a more powerful Pad 5 Pro</a> alongside it, likely aimed at users who want higher raw performance.</p>

<p>For now, this Geekbench listing does give a decent idea of where the Pad Mini sits, somewhere between performance and portability, rather than pushing purely for top-end specs. More details should be confirmed once the tablet is officially announced later this month.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oppo-2/">Oppo</a> has shared another early look at its upcoming Pad Mini. The teaser comes from Qiao Jiadong, Director of Smart Ecosystem Products at Oppo, and it mostly highlights the front design.</p>

<p>From what’s shown, the tablet uses a center punch-hole display placed along the shorter edge, with fairly even bezels on all sides. It gives the device a clean, symmetrical look, and it seems like Oppo is encouraging vertical use for things like reading or browsing. The bezels are quite slim as well.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-733867" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-1068x600.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/oppo-pad-mini-front-teaser.jpg 1334w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>A <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/03/30/oppo-pad-mini-specs-and-design-leak-ahead-of-april-launch/">previous report</a> points to an 8.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2880 × 1920 and a 3:2 aspect ratio. It’s also said to support a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate using LTPO tech, along with peak brightness of around 1800 nits and full DCI-P3 coverage. On paper, that should translate to smooth scrolling and decent visibility outdoors.</p>

<p>As for performance, the Pad Mini is expected to run on Qualcomm’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/04/snapdragon-8-gen-5-vs-dimensity-9300-benchmark-score-spec-sheet-and-more/">Snapdragon 8 Gen 5</a>, which should be more than enough for most games. The body itself looks slim, reportedly around 5.39mm thick and weighing about 279g, with a metal finish. Color options are said to include dark gray, purple, and cyan.</p>

<p>There’s also a single 13MP rear camera on the back, housed in a capsule-style module. Battery capacity is tipped at 8000mAh, with 67W fast charging, and there’s mention of eSIM support as well, which could make it more usable on the go.</p>

<p>The Pad Mini is expected to be part of Oppo&#8217;s upcoming launch event later this month, alongside products like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/08/oppo-watch-x3-mini-health-features-detailed-ahead-of-april-21-launch/">Watch X3 Mini</a>, Enco Clip 2, and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/06/oppo-find-x9-ultra-telephoto-camera-system-details/">Find X9 Ultra</a>.</p>

<p>The overall direction is fairly clear: a compact tablet with a focus on display quality and performance. More details should be confirmed at launch.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oppo-2/">Oppo</a> is seemingly getting ready to step into the compact tablet space with a new device called the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/03/30/oppo-pad-mini-specs-and-design-leak-ahead-of-april-launch/">Oppo Pad Mini</a>. The leaks revealed so far point to a smaller tablet that still aims fairly high in terms of specs.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="528" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Oppo-Pad-5-Mini-Specs-and-Design-leak.jpg?x44794" alt="Oppo Pad 5 Mini Specs and Design leak" class="wp-image-732580" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Oppo-Pad-5-Mini-Specs-and-Design-leak.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Oppo-Pad-5-Mini-Specs-and-Design-leak-300x176.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Oppo-Pad-5-Mini-Specs-and-Design-leak-768x451.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Oppo-Pad-5-Mini-Specs-and-Design-leak-696x408.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Oppo-Pad-5-Mini-Specs-and-Design-leak-716x420.jpg 716w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The latest info comes from @DigitalChatStation on Weibo, who shared a set of key details earlier today. According to the leak, the tablet will feature an 8.8-inch OLED display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, which is a bit different from the usual media-focused layouts. It should make more sense for reading and general use.</p>

<p>The panel itself sounds quite strong. It’s said to have a 2880×1920 resolution, along with a 144Hz refresh rate that can scale down to 1Hz thanks to LTPO tech. Peak brightness is reportedly 1800 nits, and it covers the full DCI-P3 color gamut, so on paper at least, it’s aiming for a premium display experience.</p>

<p>Performance is expected to come from Qualcomm’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/09/why-snapdragon-8-gen-5-makes-2026-phones-a-no-brainer-upgrade-over-gen-3-but-an-easy-skip-for-elite-owners/">Snapdragon 8 Gen 5</a>, which would put it in flagship territory. The design seems to be another highlight. The tablet is tipped to use a unibody metal build, measuring around 5.39mm thick and weighing about 279 grams. That’s quite thin and light, even for a compact tablet. Color options are said to include dark gray, purple, and cyan. Lenovo&#8217;s 8.8-inch <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/03/02/lenovo-legion-tab-gen-5-debuts-specs-price/">Legion Tab Gen 5</a>, for instance, weighs 360 grams.</p>

<p>On the back of the Oppo Pad Mini, there’s a 13MP camera in a capsule-style module. Not a major focus, but standard for tablets.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="736" height="245" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-04-110330.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-733211" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-04-110330.png 736w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-04-110330-300x100.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-04-110330-696x232.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px" /></figure></div>

<p>Battery capacity is listed at 8000mAh, with support for 67W fast charging. There’s also mention of eSIM support, which could make it more useful as a standalone device without relying on Wi-Fi. Based on what’s out so far, Oppo seems to be aiming for something more than just a “mini” in name.</p>

<p>If the leaks hold up, this could end up being one of the more interesting compact Android tablets to watch this year.</p>

<p>Now, ahead of what’s expected to be an April launch, more details have surfaced thanks to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="314" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Oppo-Pad-Mini-Specs-leak.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-732577" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Oppo-Pad-Mini-Specs-leak.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Oppo-Pad-Mini-Specs-leak-300x105.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Oppo-Pad-Mini-Specs-leak-768x268.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Oppo-Pad-Mini-Specs-leak-696x243.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<h2><strong>Oppo Pad Mini Specifications</strong></h2>

<p>According to the leak, the Oppo Pad Mini will feature an 8.8-inch OLED display with ultra-narrow bezels on all four sides.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The design, at least based on early visuals, seems to follow Oppo’s recent aesthetic. There’s an ultra-thin unibody metal build paired with a minimalist, pill-shaped rear camera module that protrudes slightly. Color options reportedly include dark gray, purple, and cyan.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The video shared by DCS shows the device in the purple shade. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-video aligncenter"><video controls src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Oppo-Pad-Mini-Design.mov?x44794"></video></figure>

<p>Internally, the tablet is said to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. There’s also mention of 67W fast charging support, though battery capacity hasn’t been specified yet.</p>

<p>Oppo is expected to hold a launch event in April in China to unveil the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s Pro smartphones. Likely, the Oppo Pad Mini and Pad 5 Pro may go official at the same event.</p>

<p>According to previous reports, OnePlus is working on the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro and Pad Mini tablets. These devices are expected to be rebranded versions of Oppo’s Pad 5 Pro and Pad Mini, respectively.</p>

The tablet is also tipped to arrive in three colour options: Monet Purple, Dawn Gold, and Mocha Brown.</p>

<p>The same leak suggests that the device will support 67W fast charging. However, other specifications of the tablet have not surfaced yet. <p>Readers should note that the names Oppo Pad Mini and OnePlus Pad Mini are currently tentative and have not been officially confirmed.</p>

<h3><strong>Oppo Find X9s Pro variants, color options</strong></h3>

<p>Just recently, the tipster revealed <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/03/13/oppo-find-x9s-pro-full-specs-out-thanks-to-this-leak/">several key specifications of the Oppo Find X9s Pro</a>. The device is said to be available in configurations such as 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. In terms of colour options, the handset could arrive in Titanium, White, Cyan, and Orange finishes.</p>

<p>The Find X9s Pro is tipped to be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9500">Dimensity 9500</a> chipset. It is expected to feature a 6.32-inch OLED display offering a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device may also pack a battery of around 7,000mAh capacity, with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.</p>

<p>For photography, the handset is said to include a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. On the rear, it may feature a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 3.2-megapixel multispectral sensor.</p>

<p>Both the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oppo-find-x9s-pro">Oppo Find X9s Pro</a> and the alleged Pad Mini are expected to debut along with the Find X9 Ultra next month (April) in China. However, it remains unclear whether the Find X9s Pro will be released outside China. Meanwhile, the company is preparing to unveil the Oppo Find N6 foldable phone along with the Watch X3 on March 17 in China.</p>
