The company is recruiting  5,000 testers for the handsets in each region. The registrations began on February 23 and will remain open until March 2.</span></p>

However, in the latest announcement in the Chinese Oppo forum as of recent, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Oppo</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> announced that it will be conducting recruitment for its Oppo ColorOS 12 Open Beta from Jan 14 to Jan 17 3PM CST for Oppo Reno4 5G and Oppo Reno4 Pro 5G users in China. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Here’s are the key details provided by </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Oppo</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> that you need to know if you want to join the open beta:</span></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The recruitment is for Oppo Reno4 5G and Oppo Reno4 Pro 5G users in China only.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The recruitment is running from Jan 14 to Jan 17 3PM CST.</span></li>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">It is interesting to know that only the 4G variant of OPPO Reno4 Pro supports Netflix HDR although the 4G variant has the exact same display. Also, all the OPPO handsets listed above are on sale for months but they have received Netlfix certification only now.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">On the other hand, the TCL 20 5G launched only last month and the Galaxy S21 series just hit the shelves today.</span></p>

This phone features a plastic composite rear panel instead of glass and therefore it weighs only 165g. It comes in two color variants namely Galactic Blue and Space Black.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Further, it is powered by </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Qualcomm"><span style="font-weight: 400">Qualcomm </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">Snapdragon 720G with 4G connectivity, compared to Snapdragon 765G (5G) on the original. Also, it sports a 48MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) quad-camera setup opposed to triple camera setup on the Chinese model. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">However, the 32MP (wide) + 2MP (depth) dual selfie camera, which nests in an oval-shaped punch hole at the top left corner of the handset’s 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display is same as the Reno4 Chinese variant.</span></p>

<p>The Chinese firm did not reveal any exact timeline for the arrival of the Reno4 series in India. However, the company revealed that the Reno4 models will come with features that are relevant to the Indian market. It is not clear whether it will be releasing Reno4 as well as its Pro version in India.</p>
