OPPO is known for releasing a wide variety of limited edition smartphones. The year has just begun and the company already has one such device in the form of OPPO Reno5 Pro+ 5G Artist Limited Edition. Now, according to a certification bureau, the brand may soon launch another such handset called ‘OPPO Reno5 Marvel Edition’.

Chinese smartphone maker OPPO partners with different parties for its limited edition products. But for the first time, the brand is cooperating with an old partner and world-renowned comic book publisher Marvel for the second time.

Back in 2019, OPPO released OPPO F11 Pro Marvel’s Avengers Limited Edition to celebrate the world’s highest-grossing movie Avengers: Endgame. Now, almost two years later, the company will be launching OPPO Reno5 Marvel Edition in the coming days, as per Thailand’s NBTC certification bureau.

But unfortunately, the certification does not reveal anything noteworthy. It only says that the phone will come with model number CPH2159 and will be limited to LTE connectivity. Both of these parameters confirm the special edition to be based on OPPO Reno5 4G and not the 5G version.

With that being said, the design of this phone is a mystery. Above all, it is not known on which Marvel character it will be based on. Going by Disney’s release schedule, the next MCU movie will be Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson. Hence, this device could be for commemorating the release of the first-ever Black Widow standalone movie.
