Last month, OPPO Reno5 Marvel Edition had appeared on the website of Thailand’s NBTC. The certification is an indication that the device will soon be launched and indeed, the Reno5 Marvel Edition has been launched in Indonesia.

The Reno5 Marvel Edition is similar to the  OPPO F11 Pro Avengers Edition which was released a couple of years back. The new limited edition is based on the Reno5 4G which was launched in December 2020.

The Oppo Reno5 Marvel Edition has a bespoke design on the back with the Avengers logo, the included protective case has the Marvel logo instead. Unlike the F11 Pro, this time around everything is branded – including the bundled headset and even the SIM ejector.

Apart from these, the smartphone is the same as the vanilla Reno5 4G. As a reminder, it features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for added security.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset given that is limited to 4G LTE connectivity. It packs 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for expanding the storage capacity.

The phone will become available on March 15 (Monday) and it will cost IDR 5,700,000 (~$395). This is slightly more than the regular phone (IDR 5,000,000). The phones will be sold exclusively through Tokopedia but intending buyers will need a unique code to buy an Oppo Reno5 Marvel Edition.
