Oppo recently launched the F21 Pro and F21 Pro 5G in the Indian market. Both phones come with a slightly similar design and are priced above Rs. 20,000 in India. It appears that the company has more lower-range phones in the pipeline as three new Oppo models have now been spotted on the FCC certification website.

The upcoming Oppo smartphones have the model number Oppo CPH2385, CPH2339, and CPH2387 (via MySmartPrice). All three models are expected to come in the mid or lower-range segment in different markets.

Oppo CPH2385

The FCC certification confirms that the CPH2385 sports a dual-camera system. The setup will consist of a 50MP main lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The device will pack a 5,000mAh battery and boot on ColorOS 12.1 out of the box. Furthermore, it has the following measurements – 163.74 x 75.03 x 7.99mm. The phone will weigh 190 grams.

Oppo CPH2339

Coming to the CPH2339, the smartphone packs the same 5,000mAh battery and boots on ColosOS 12.1 out of the box. The phone’s 5G bands have been revealed and it has the n5, n7, n38, and n41 5G bands.

Unfortunately, the fast charging speeds and other details of two of these phones haven’t been listed yet. However, the third phone’s fast charging speed has been revealed.

Oppo CPH2387 

The third phone with model number CPH2387 is said to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. That being said, we can expect the above two models to bag a similar charging speed.

Moreover, the phone’s images have also been listed. The smartphone sports two large cutouts at the back. It has a dual-camera system with a 13MP main lens and a 2MP secondary sensor. We get to see that the device has a water-drop notch panel and features a Black color. It also has dual-SIM and microSD card support.

With the FCC certification done, these phones are expected to launch sooner this year.

According to a report from China, OPPO is looking to capitalize on the void that’ll be left by Huawei in some key markets by significantly increasing smartphone production in the second half of the year. This report comes right after OPPO confirmed that Pete Lau will become the Senior VP of its holding company, OPlus.

The recent chip ban on Huawei will adversely affect its smartphone shipments in the coming months which will create a void in the market. So this is a crucial time for other smartphone makers like OPPO to take advantage of the situation.

China Starmarket exclusively reports that OPPO has been ramping up the production of its smartphones on a large scale. The company expects to ship around 100 million units in total by the end of the year. However, the publication’s supply chain sources give a more conservative estimate of around 85 million units.

OPPO’s push is expected to be focused on the European market. The company has still not managed to make its mark in the region (with a market share of only around 3%), but this would be a good opportunity to turn things around. On the other hand, Huawei is a major player in the Europe, with the company ranked among the top three smartphone vendors in key EU markets.

After the chip ban, Huawei is expected to quickly lose its market share in all these key European markets. So Europe will be the real battleground for Chinese companies like OPPO and Xiaomi. According to counterpoint, these brands managed to grow at an impressive 41 percent and 55 percent respectively in the European market in Q2 2020. However, Huawei posted a decline of 46 percent YoY sales in the same quarter.

OPPO recently became the top smartphone maker in South East Asia in terms of market share. The company managed to edge out Samsung after grabbing a market share of 20.3 percent (vs 19.5 percent). OPPO is also increasing its presence in the Latin American market through its partnership with America Movil – the largest carrier in the region.

Overall, it looks like the smartphone market will see some major changes in the coming months.

We had heard about an FC Barcelona special edition version of this popular model, and now, the phone has been leaked in pictures.

The new leaked images reveal that the OPPO R9 FC Barcelona Edition will come in Red and Grey variants. The phones will have FC Barcelona’s logo at the back with the words “FCBarcelona” Official Partner. Design wise, rest of the looks remain the same as the regular version.

However, OPPO had revealed earlier that the FC Barcelona edition will come with specialized ringtones and UI tweaks to match the theme. Further, these limited edition models will be reportedly signed by FC Barcelona players, adding further value. Finally, OPPO had also revealed that the phone will be quite affordable. But at this moment, we don’t have information on the pricing of the device.

Expect the specs to be the same as the regular version. So, the OPPO R9 FC Barcelona Edition will come with a 5.2-inch FHD 1080p display with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage on board. Inside, the phone will be powered by the Helio P10 MT6755 octa-core chip. At the back, the phone sports a 13MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, while up front, you get an even better 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. As for the battery, you get a 2850mAh capacity one with fast charging that charges from 0 to 75 percent in just 30 minutes.

OPPO is yet to reveal an exact date for the release of this special edition, but we can expect more details pretty soon.
