The launch of the Oppo Watch 3 series of smartwatches is just around the corner. The company is gearing up to announce the new smart wearable products on August 10, and now, we have more details prior to its release.

Oppo has just listed the new Watch 3 series of smartwatches for reservations on its Chinese online store. Looking at these listings, we are also offered a glimpse at some of the specifications regarding the upcoming wearable devices. As per this listing, the Chinese phone maker’s higher end Watch 3 Pro model will sport a 1.91 inch AMOLED LTPO screen that will support Always on Display functionality as well.

Unfortunately, the details regarding the display of the base Watch 3 model is still at large. Although, it has already been confirmed by the brand that both versions will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset as well as Oppo’s proprietary Apollo 4 Plus co processor. Apart from this, the listing has also revealed some additional features like ECG, eSIM, NFC, and 5ATM water resistance. For the software side, the new Watch 3 series will run on the ColorOS Watch interface.

Lastly, the online Chinese listing also revealed that the Oppo Watch 3 series will be available in black and silver color options, along with certain images that confirm this as well. Qualcomm recently announced the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 premium wearable platforms. Chinese tech giant OPPO earlier today released a teaser on China’s microblogging platform Weibo that confirmed that its upcoming Watch 3 Series smartwatch will be powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 platform. Now, well-known Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station has hinted that the OPPO Watch 3 Series will be officially unveiled on August 10th.

The appearance of this upcoming watch series has also been revealed ahead of time. The watch will have an ECG support feature and an LTPO adaptive refresh rate panel, according to the leaker.

With rounded corners and a glossy, textured frame that gives it a luxurious appearance, the Watch 3 Series appears to have a similar design to Apple watches. The watch also features a working button and a crown that can turn. Additionally, there is a speaker grill on one side, indicating that eSIM standby calling will be available.

The Watch 3 Series’ Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor is based on the 4nm architecture and has low power Wi-Fi, GNSS, and audio islands as well as low power states like Deep Sleep and Hibernate.

Along with a host of other features, it supports 3D watch faces, 3D maps and navigation, real-time 2-way smart calling, smart device controls, and much more. We might anticipate that the Watch 3 Series will have a longer battery life than the Watch 2 Series because this chip is more energy-efficient.
