Optibike has launched the R22 Everest adventure e-bike with several features that promise to deliver user satisfaction. The manufacturer says that with a range of up to 300 miles (483 km), you could ride the bike to ascend Mount Everest. This estimate is based on the rider weighing 160 lbs (73 kg) and traveling at an average speed of 15 mph (24 kph). A 3,260 Wh detachable twin battery pack, weighing 36 lbs (16 kg), is what allows for the range.

You can get help from a 1,700 W motor with 2,500 W of peak power at up to 36 mph (58 kph) speed. According to the manufacturer, the Optibike PowerStorm MBB makes incline up to 40% feel effortless with up to 190 Nm of power. You can pedal while riding or use the throttle to move forward without doing so.

For improved stability and handling, the R22 Everest has a downhill dual crown fork and extended travel suspension. A Rohloff 14-speed internal gear hub requires little upkeep and extends the life of the chain. You may utilize the device to select between five power levels, and an integrated LCD displays data such as battery life and speed.

The carbon fiber swingarm and frame of the electric bicycle weigh 93 lbs (42 kg) in total. The Optibike R22 Everest e-bike costs US$18,900 and is only available in a limited number of stores, according to the manufacturer.
