A few years ago, Vivo switched from Funtouch OS UI to OriginOS for its smartphones in the Chinese market, while global models continued using Funtouch OS. Earlier this week, Vivo held a global launch event to unveil OriginOS 6, marking its debut beyond China.  Following the official announcement, iQOO has confirmed the rollout schedule for OriginOS 6 in India, revealing when users can expect to receive the update on their devices.

As per the rollout timeline, the iQOO 13 will be the first model to receive the OriginOS 6 update in early November 2025.

The iQOO 12 will follow in mid-November 2025, while iQOO Neo 10, iQOO Neo 10R, and iQOO Neo 9 Pro are slated for updates in mid-December 2025.

The rollout will continue into the first half of 2026, expanding to older and mid-range models, including the iQOO 11, iQOO Z10 5G, iQOO Z10R 5G, iQOO Z10x 5G, iQOO Z9 5G, iQOO Z9s 5G, and iQOO Z9s Pro 5G.

The timeline applies to the Beta version initially, with the stable release being distributed to all users in stages. Carrier-exclusive models will follow a separate update cycle depending on regional policies.

OriginOS 6 key features

OriginOS 6’s interface features smoother animations, faster transitions, and improved app launch speeds thanks to the Origin Smooth Engine. It also brings a Dynamic Glow and Translucent Color design, inspired by liquid glass effects, and adds personalized widgets, revamped lock screen grids, and Flip Cards.

On the AI front, Vivo AI integrates Google’s Gemini model to enhance smart functions such as AI Retouch, AI Image Expander, and AI Creation tools. The new Vivo Security system ensures better privacy, data protection, and charging safety through BlueVolt technology.

The upcoming iQOO 15, launching in November in India, will come preloaded with OriginOS 6, while the Vivo X300 series, expected to launch within this year, will also ship with the new interface out of the box.

Tap and hold to identify products, scan addresses, or summarize screen content with “Little V Memory.”

Then there’s Origin Island, a new persistent, dynamic UI element that sits at the top of your screen in the style of Apple’s Dynamic Island. It contextualizes actions in real-time. You can drag a file, switch to another app, and keep working on it from a suggestion bubble. Copy a phone number and instantly call, message, or save it. It’s the kind of ambient, intelligent interface Android has been missing.

OriginOS 6 turns your Vivo phone into a better hub. Shake to Share lets you transfer photos or files to nearby phones without Wi-Fi. Small Window 2.0 lets you continue app sessions in your car. Vivo has officially unveiled OriginOS 6, its new Android 16 platform based custom UI, launching in India and the broader global market. The major software upgrade replaces the existing FuntouchOS platform and brings various new features and a refreshed look. So here’s everything you need to know.

Improved UI

With OriginOS 6, Vivo aimed to improve the overall experience when interacting with the user interface. From smoother animations and more seamless transitions, the update should make your device feel faster. But it’s not just an aesthetic change, as it also brings 18.5 percent faster app launch speeds and 10.5 percent upgrade in frame rate stability. Animations are also seeing a 35 percent upgrade, along with frame rates during intense tasks. All of this is thanks to its new Origin Smooth Engine, Origin Animation, Spring Animation, Blue Transition, and other new systems.

Brand-New Look

Vivo has revamped the look on its latest Android custom skin, bringing new fonts, layout, material, and depth effects. The Dynamic Glow and Translucent Color is another new feature, which seems inspired by Apple’s Liquid Glass UI. Even the widgets are getting more personalization options, with the Lock Screen Grid allowing more resizing options while also overhauling the Lock Screen Grid, Home Screen Grid, and adding Flip Cards. Vivo has officially unveiled its latest iteration of its Android OS based OriginOS custom skin. The new version is dubbed the OriginOS 4, which was announced during the 2023 Vivo Developer conference. So here’s everything you need to know.

Vivo OriginOS 4 Features

The Chinese tech giant released its custom Android 14 based skin with a new customized font. For those unaware, OriginOS is the China exclusive custom skin, unlike the FunTouchOS platform in the global market. OriginOS arrives with the new screen off and lock screen customizations (basically lets you personalize ock screen clock style, offering various layouts and font styles). Another new feature is the Vivo Smart Car 4.0 technology, which improves car connectivity and offers features like voice controlled navigation, music, and calling control among other things. Through this feature, users also get access to the Parking assistant features that help easy navigation to nearby parking lots. It also simplifies payments and offers instant location recognition.

Since it’s based on Android 14, you also get access to the latest software upgrades of the platform. Furthermore, the company is introducing new features that will make life easier for the users in both their professional and personal lives. This includes the Vivo Office suite, full link conference assistant, a trip planning assistant, and the Family Health manager. OriginOS 4 brings brand-new wallpapers along with new additions like a virtual graphics card, Unfair Scheduling 2.0 technology, Memory Fisoon 4.0 technology, and Quick Start.

The software has improved Smooth Envision which optimizes system performance by lowering persistent processes and improved RAM utilization. It also adds up to 600MB of extra RAM space for devices with 8GB or more. With the App Retainer, users can whitelist certain apps to make sure they seamlessly enter their crucial apps exactly where they left off. The brand is offering enhancements in multitasking with an upgraded small window feature, supporting up to 12 active windows and side-swipe suspension. Other notable features include improved animation smoothness along with new functionalities.

Vivo phones sold outside of China run Funtouch OS, which many users find to be lacking. In contrast, devices sold in China use OriginOS, a more polished software skin with smoother animations and enhanced privacy features. Vivo users outside of China have been clamoring for OriginOS to be made available on their phones, but the company seems to believe that Funtouch OS is a better fit for global users.

Daniel Goetz, a product manager at Vivo, echoed the sentiment in an interview with GSMArena. They said that Vivo is happy with the split between Funtouch OS and OriginOS, as Funtouch OS is more stable and “less flashy” making it a better fit for European users. OriginOS, on the other hand, is more feature-rich but also more bloated, and Vivo believes that it resonates better with Chinese users.

OriginOS is now in its third iteration. The latest version is more about performance and under-the-hood improvements. It brings intelligent and adaptive computing and bottom-layer scheduling among other interesting features. However, a majority of them almost never make it to Funtouch OS.

Goetz also confirmed that the newly launched Vivo V29 will get three years of software support. This includes two major Android updates and three years of security patches. While this is not a bad level of support, it is below what some other manufacturers offer. For example, OnePlus offers three years of major updates for its mid-range Nord 3 smartphone, and Samsung takes things a step further with four major updates for its Galaxy A34.

Vivo is now rolling out the latest version update of OriginOS 3 on the Vivo X90 smartphone. The update, with the version number “PD2241C_A_13.0.16.31.W10.V000L1”, primarily focuses on optimizing camera stability and accuracy, improving network stability, and enhancing application performance. The Vivo X90, which was launched in China last November, has recently been introduced in India.

The camera enhancements include improved performance and stability, as well as better accuracy and consistency in light source detection for rear flash portrait shooting. This will undoubtedly provide users with a smoother and more enjoyable shooting experience.

In terms of network optimization, the update improves 5G network stability, ensuring faster and more reliable connectivity. The compatibility of some third-party applications has also been optimized, while the issue of hands-free mode automatically switching to earpiece mode during voice calls has been resolved.

Moreover, users will no longer have to worry about missing call records as this issue has been fixed. The update has also optimized stability and fluency when using some functions in the third-party app’s small window status, as well as the screen brightness adjustment algorithm. Furthermore, the update has improved system performance, stability, and fluency, while fixing the issue of small windows displaying abnormally in some scenarios when opening an application.

The same OriginOS or FunTouchOS software that the Vivo uses is preinstalled on iQOO devices. The user interfaces of both smartphone companies have remained essentially the same. A new set of exclusive themes, wallpaper, and a new font have now been made available for iQOO’s devices. By using this theme, you can get a somewhat different appearance from the stock UI. The iQOO logo serves as the basis for the entire theme. Users who want an exclusive appearance and feel from iQOO can download the theme and install it on their smartphones.

The brand’s future speed aesthetic design is in sync with the new official theme of iQOO, which is built on light and lines with high-saturation visual elements. The entire theme is created in a way that either directly or indirectly symbolises the iQOO and its own flavour. Additionally, each and every component of the new theme is based on the iQOO official colour scheme. The theme is further customizable to a limited extent.

The brand has created a new font to go along with the new look. The typeface will change throughout the UI if you apply the new font. When combined with the new theme, the new “iQOO Type” font creates a completely distinctive look from Vivo’s stock user interface. The upcoming iQOO smartphones may come with this theme already installed as the default theme. That was everything that there was to know about the recently released themes by iQOO.

To apply the theme and typeface, respectively, interested users can search “iQOO theme” and “iQOO font” inside the I theme apps. The theme is presently only available to users in China, however, this may soon change with the official release of the theme worldwide. Vivo has today officially confirmed that the company will be announcing OriginOS 3, the next generation of its custom mobile operating system for smartphones on 8th November.

The company has shared a teaser poster confirming the release date of 8th November for OriginOS 3 at the Vivo Developer Conference. It also adds that the new OS will be “more handy” without revealing anything about it.

The Vivo Developer Conference 2022, where the new OriginOS will be announced, has a theme of “MORE, close to what you think” and along with the new mobile operating system, the company will have different sessions for IoT ecosystem, artificial intelligence, privacy and security, game ecology, and more.

While the features of the upcoming OriginOS 3 have not been revealed yet, it is said that the company’s primary focus is on offering a light and smooth system experience to the users. It will also come with several new features that aim to make the user’s daily use more convenient.

If the release timeline of the OriginOS Ocean is anything to go by, then we expect the company to start rolling out the update soon after the official announcement, at least for a select few premium flagship smartphones, and then roll it out to several other devices in a phased manner.

Earlier this month, vivo unveiled OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12 in China. The latest version of the company’s mobile software will be available for a vast number of vivo and iQOO-branded handsets. Just as promised, the firm has now started recruiting open beta testers for the first batch of eligible devices.

Chinese smartphone brand vivo has scheduled to release OriginOS Ocean open beta update for the first batch of eligible phones on December 30. Ahead of that, the company has opened registrations for testers.

The recruitment process began on December 24 and will continue until January 3. Applicants who apply on or before December 29 will receive the update via OTA on December 30. On the other hand, those who apply by December 3 will get the update within 24 hours from registration.

In order to enroll, interested users will have to go Settings > System Update > Gear Icon >  Update Early Access >  Public Beta and follow on-screen instructions. Users who were part of the closed beta program do not need to register for open beta as they will receive the new update automatically on December 30.

The Funtouch OS 12 page is now live on the Vivo India website and it reveals some of the new features it is bringing to Vivo phones.

One of the new features coming to Funtouch OS is a redesigned widget system. The design of the new widgets appears to have been carried over from OriginOS. They are more functional and Vivo claims they should help users be more productive.

Another feature is the Nano Music Player that is sort of a mini-player for controlling playback from Spotify, Joox, or files from your local storage.

Last but not least is Extended RAM, a feature that has become increasingly popular on a lot of phones these days. With Extended RAM, the phone allocates part of the ROM storage (up to 4GB) to the RAM space so apps can run a bit more smoothly.

We expect more details will be revealed on September 22 when Vivo plans to announce the X70 series globally. We should also get details about current phones that will receive the update and when to expect them.

The Vivo X70 and Vivo X70 Pro were also launched in China today. The new phones bring significant upgrades over their predecessors including better cameras, bigger batteries, and faster charging speeds.

Vivo X70 and X70 Pro Design

Vivo is known to design beautiful and slim devices and the new X70 series are no exceptions. The X70 and X70 Pro are said to measure 7.5mm and 7.9mm in thickness respectively. They are available in three colors – Nebula, White, and Black.

The Vivo X70 and Vivo X70 Pro both have a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display (curved for the pro model) with a 120Hz refresh rate. There is a centered punch hole for the 32MP front-facing camera screen and both screens have HDR10.

Powering the X70 is a custom Dimensity 1200 processor specially made for Vivo while the X70 Pro has Samsung’s Exynos 1080, which has appeared only in Vivo phones since it was launched last year. Both phones come with up to 12GB of RAM but the X70 maxes out at 256GB of storage while the X70 Pro takes it up to 512GB.

The camera department is one area that has seen upgrades in both phones. The X70 has a custom Sony IMX766V 40MP gimbal main camera, a 12MP ultrawide angle camera, and a 12MP portrait camera with 2x optical zoom and digital zoom. All three cameras have autofocus.

The X70 Pro also uses the custom Sony IMX766V sensor but it is a 50MP camera. It also has a 12MP super ultrawide angle camera with a 104.9° FOV when distortion correction is activated. The third sensor is a 12MP portrait camera that brings 2x optical zoom. The pro model also gains a fourth 8MP camera with a periscope lens that brings 5x optical zoom.

The X70 Pro also features the Vivo V1 custom ISP chip discussed below. Both phones have a color temperature sensor, a laser focus sensor, ad ZEISS T* coating. They also come with the same four classic ZEISS portrait lenses found on the X70 Pro+.

For their batteries, the X70 now comes with a 4400mAh battery, an upgrade from the 4200mAh battery inside the Vivo X60. Charging speed has also been upgraded from 33W to 44W. The X70 Pro gets a 4450mAh battery and also supports 44W fast charging.

The two devices have NFC, an in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual nano-SIM support, and a USB-C port. They both run Origin OS based on Android 11 out of the box.

Vivo V1 Chip

The Vivo V1 Chip is Vivo’s first self-developed processor and it is present inside the X70 Pro and the X70 Pro+. The chipset has three functions – Smart Noise Reduction, MEMC smart frame insertion, and handles some tasks for power optimization. Vivo says that the chip is 100x more power-efficient than the CPU in both devices (X70 Pro and X70 Pro+).

OPPO and Vivo are two Chinese manufacturers that will be making their entry into the tablet market this year. A new leak has revealed that both brands will be announcing a total of three tablets among each other.

The tablet market picked up last year following the effects of the pandemic that forced students to stay at home and attend school online. Thus many households had to purchase at least one tablet for their kids. The market is still growing and more players will be launching their first models so as to grab a share too.

According to Digital Chat Station, Vivo has two tablets in development while OPPO, its fellow BBK-owned company, has one. Both manufacturers are expected to launch a custom version of their operating systems (read Android skins) designed for tablets. So we should see Vivo’s tablets run OriginOS for Tablets while OPPO’s tablet will run ColorOS for Tablets.

Realme is also expected to launch its own tablet this year which will arrive as the Realme Pad and OnePlus has filed a trademark application for “OnePlus Pad”. Both companies are closer in relation to OPPO, so it is understandable why OPPO is launching only one tablet this year. OnePus’s own tablet will also run ColorOS in China, so it is safe to call it OPPO’s second tablet.

Vivo launched the OriginOS in China back in November 2020. Currently, it is running a Public Beta program for various devices in the region. However, Vivo’s devices in other regions ship with a version of Funtouch OS. Now, the company has said it has no plans to bring the OriginOS outside China.

In a response to a user Query, the Funtouch OS team for India has responded with this comment. It says that OriginOS is indeed for Vivo devices but it has been launched in China. Further, it says that the company doesn’t have any plans to bring it to other regions including India for now.

This was already evident when Vivo announced its Funtouch OS 11 (based on  Android 11) schedule for India. According to the schedule, it has been releasing updates to the devices. And the latest to receive it is the Vivo V20 SE.

Anyway, it’s clear Vivo intends to maintain two versions of its UI. One for China(OriginOS) and one for the other regions(Funtouch OS). This isn’t the first company to do it. In fact, companies like OnePlus have their own version for China(Hydrogen OS) and Global markets(Oxygen OS).

If you ask me what is the USP of the OriginOS, it’s a UI overlay on the Funtouch OS for flagships and also has a few nifty little features. To know about them exactly, you can look at our coverage on the same.

Finally, Vivo says that it will update us officially if it changes the stance on the OriginOS for Global markets so let’s play the waiting game for now.

Earlier this month, Vivo released an open beta version of OriginOS for 11 devices. It has now released the list of the second batch of devices that are eligible for the public beta.

The recruitment for the public beta will begin on January 25 according to the official OriginOS Weibo account and will run until January 27. The build will then be pushed to selected users on the 28th of January. Below is the list of devices:

• Vivo X30
• Vivo X30 Pro

The update should bring not only a new user interface but also bring Android 11 to these devices.

OriginOS is a complete design change from Vivo’s other operating system, Funtouch OS. The homescreen is arranged in a Klotski Grid format and features tiny pop-up widgets called Nano Alerts that display details such as upcoming flights and package delivery status. Nano Alerts not only show up on the homescreen but also on Always-On Display.

The new operating system also has system enhancements that include memory and app optimizations, intelligent app freezing, and application preloading for a smooth and fast experience.

Vivo is yet to announce OrginOS for the international market. Its new phones for the international markets running Android 11 have Funtouch OS 11 pre-installed. If and when OriginOS gets a global realease, it will take a while before it is available as a stable update for eligible devices.

OriginOS is the latest version of vivo’s smartphone operating system. The new software from the brand is based on Android 11. It is basically a pumped-up variant of Funtouch OS 11, which is found in the company’s budget devices. In early December, the brand began to recruit closed beta testers for five handsets from the first batch. Now, a little over a month later, the firm has opened open beta registrations for all the models in the initial batch.

According to the official Weibo account of OriginOS, open beta recruitment is live for the following smartphones.

Having said that, vivo is yet to announce OriginOS for global markets. Only then, we would know when the international versions of vivo and iQOO devices will be getting the latest software update.

Vivo has announced two new smartphones today in China. The Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro, as they are called, are the first smartphones in the world powered by the Samsung Exynos 1080 5nm chipset. The new chipset is not the only special feature. The X60 phones also have a slim design, a new operating system, and impressive cameras.

Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro Design

For the design of the new phones, Vivo had one goal and that was to make them the slimmest 5G phones it has ever produced. The standard model is 7.36 millimeters thick while the pro model is a bit thicker at 7.59 millimeters.

Both phones have a curved back with an AG Glass Satin Finish for a silky touch. However, Vivo distinguishes both models not only with more cameras on the pro model but also by giving it a curved display while the standard model has a flat display. The design is finished with a dual-tone paint job that results in a color shift depending on the angle light rays hit the phones.

Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro Specs and Features

The Vivo X60 and X60 Pro both have a 6.56-inch display with a 2376 x 1080 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The AMOLED displays have a centered punch hole, a 19.8:9 aspect ratio, and are HDR10+ certified. Vivo says that the LTM Sunscreen display has been co-developed with Samsung and has been designed to be clear and bright even under strong light.

The Exynos 1080 chipset is paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Vivo includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, face unlock, Dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and dual-band Wi-Fi in both phones. They also come with the new OriginOS 1.0 operating system which is based on Android 11.

The Vivo X60 has a 4300mAh battery while the Vivo X60 Pro has a 4200mAh battery. Both phones come with support for 33W fast wired charging.

Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro Cameras

Cameras are a big deal for Vivo and it reinforces that with the new X60 series smartphones. This time around, it has partnered with ZEISS for their lens technology which is used in the new phones.

The standard Vivo X60 has a second-gen Sony IMX598 48MP f/1.79 gimbal camera with a 4-axis OIS anti-shake and a closed-loop motor for impressive stabilization. It comes along with a 13MP f/2.2 120° ultrawide angle camera and a 13MP f/2.46 50mm telephoto camera.

The Pro Model has the same Sony IMX598 48MP gimbal camera but with an f/1.48 aperture size and 7P lens. It also has 4-axis OIS and a closed-loop motor. The 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide angle camera has a distortion correction feature so the field of view after correction drops from 120° to 108°. Along with the 13MP telephoto camera, it also has an 8MP f/3.4 periscope camera that provides 5x optical zoom and up to 60x superzoom. Both phones have a 32MP f/2.45 selfie camera.

Vivo has packed the two phones full of camera features. You can shoot not only standard, portrait, and wide-angle photos in night mode but also panorama photos. Vivo also says you can take photos of old Black and White photos and have the phone instantly restore the colors using AI. The cameras are also fast enough to capture fast-moving objects such as kids and pets.

The Vivo X60 is available in three configurations and below are the prices:

• 8+128GB = ¥3498 (~$535)
• 8+256GB = ¥3798 (~$581)
• 12+256GB = ¥3998 (~$612)

The Vivo X60 Pro comes in a single configuration and that is with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is priced at ¥4498 (~$689) and it is already available for pre-order along with the 8GB variants of the standard model. The first sale is scheduled for January 8, 2021.

Last month, Chinese handset maker vivo unveiled OriginOS as the latest version of its mobile operating system. A day after the announcement, the company also revealed the list of eligible devices and their update timeline. Now, the company has begun to recruit beta testers for 5 smartphones.

According to the update schedule shared by vivo, a total of 33 vivo and iQOO-branded smartphones will be updated to OriginOS in China. This roadmap only tells about when these devices will be getting beta builds and therefore, the actual stable rollout for all the eligible phones may complete later than the suggested Q2 2021 time period.

That said, out of 33, 11 devices are scheduled to enter the beta program before January 31, 2020. Hence, as promised, vivo has now opened registrations for the first five handsets and they are as follows.

The beta recruitment for the above-mentioned phones will take place from December 1 to 10. However, though the company is providing 10 days time to register, only 200 seats are allocated for each smartphone. Lastly, the beta rollout will commence from December 15 (tentative date).

So that means the stable release for regular users may only happen in January 2021 at the earliest. And above all, this program is only limited to China and vivo is yet to officially announce OriginOS for global markets along with eligible devices and update plans.

Yesterday, vivo announced its new Android skin called OriginOS. The latest mobile software by the company is totally different than its predecessor Funtouch OS. In other words, vivo overhauled its existing software with new design elements and features in such a way that one cannot believe that both were developed by the same company. That said, a day after the conference, the Chinese smartphone maker has revealed all the eligible devices along with update timeline.

According to the official Weibo account of OriginOS, a total of 33 vivo and iQOO-branded smartphones will be updated to the new operating system. The announcement post also reveals that the new software will come pre-installed on the upcoming X series flagship smartphones.

Having said that, the company has divided the rollout into the following three batches.

• Before January 31, 2021
• Before the Chinese New Year (February 12, 2021)
• Q2 2021

Also, just like OPPO ColorOS 11 update schedule, this one also only denotes the starting of the Open Beta rollout. That means the final stable build will take a little bit more time to reach the end-users.

Vivo has officially unveiled its new UI dubbed OriginOS. The new skin has been completely remodeled from the ground up, making it quite distinct from FuntouchOS. Vivo aims to create a new digital world with OriginOS. We’ll take a look at some of the features of the new custom ROM.

OriginOS promises several enhancements in terms of performance. Vivo says it has enhanced the overall mobile phone experience – from the home screen to the wallpapers and from pictures to the game board; almost all functions have been upgraded. The overall experience is said to be smooth, convenient, and secure.

On the home screen, OriginOS introduced a brand new desktop grid system, bringing the Huarong Grid. It can flexibly and freely show the charm of every element of the desktop, and you can create a variety of imaginative layout combinations through each basic unit.

On the wallpaper, OriginOS brings behavioral wallpaper which is officially called performance wallpaper. Vivo engineers condensed the blooming process of flowers into just a few seconds, making the scenery that is usually scattered in the rush of time extraordinary and full of vitality.

The message notification also saw some improvement as OriginOS brings atomic notifications which can extract key information and can always tell you what you care about at the right time. It covers typical life scenes, and sends reminders in an elegant way, so as not to disturb the user and yet to avoid missing a message.

In terms of operation, OriginOS comes with brand new navigation gestures. There is no need to read complicated guides as the gestures are easy to understand. OriginOS arrives with 26 navigation combinations that can be completed by just clicking and operating, which almost covers mainstream operation methods.

In addition, OriginOS brings an atomic component library which carefully summarizes all atomic components and provides a variety of simple and convenient ways to retrieve them. In addition, dragging icons from the component library and placing them in the application interface can quickly generate small windows to meet multi-task operation scenarios.

The weather widget is also updated to optimize the weather information display form. It also intuitively display the temperature information. With a temperature color card with 90 color values, you can clearly perceive changes in cold and warm at a glance.

Further, OriginOS brings a brand new super card pack. Whether the phone is in the off-screen state or the interface has been navigated away from the home screen, the card pack can be called up with a single swipe. At the same time, the card package can customize the payment types that can be displayed.

For the core system optimization, OriginOS supports the latest Multi-Turbo 5.0 which brings three new technologies – memory fusion, process optimization, and application preloading. In terms of memory integration, Vivo innovatively integrates RAM and ROM through algorithm optimization. Part of the idle ROM space can be called to assume the function of RAM operation, which greatly improves the experience in background multi-application scenarios. Specifically, on a mobile phone with 8GB of RAM + 128GB of storage, the experience is equivalent to when the memory capacity is equivalent to 11GB, while on a mobile phone with 12GB+256GB, it is equivalent to 15GB of RAM, which greatly increases the availability of equivalent memory.

The second technical process optimization is in-depth control and optimization of system resident processes which reduces the memory usage of 100-200MB system operations. It also reduces system concurrency conflicts, increases concurrency capacity by 20%, and creates more room for mobile application operation.

The third point is application preloading. Through the application of preloading technology, users can intelligently preload applications that are ready to be opened, greatly reducing application startup time. This in turn increases application opening speed and reduces cold starts by 40%.
