Oura has officially introduced the Oura Ring 4 in India. First launched globally in October 2024, the smart ring is now available at over 100 Croma stores and on Amazon.in.

The Silver and Black variants are priced at ₹28,900, while the premium Stealth, Brushed Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold finishes come with a price tag of ₹39,900. To access all app features, users must pay a monthly subscription fee of ₹599.

Oura Ring 4 Specifications

The Oura Ring 4 tracks over 50 health metrics, including sleep patterns, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), stress levels, blood oxygen levels (SpO₂), and daytime activity. The ring uses AI-powered insights to help users understand their health data and make improvements. The device does not have a screen or notifications, and it focuses on providing long-term wellness insights rather than real-time updates.

The Oura Ring 4 features several hardware upgrades over its predecessor. The ring now includes 18 sensing pathways, which improve accuracy for metrics like HRV and blood oxygen levels. The titanium construction makes it lightweight, durable, and comfortable for all-day wear. The device is water-resistant up to 100 meters and has a battery life of 5 to 8 days, with a full charge taking just 20 to 80 minutes.

The company has also drawn attention to sleep-related challenges in India through its report, India: The State of Sleep 2026. According to the findings, Indians get an average of just 6 hours and 28 minutes of sleep per night, around 40 minutes less than those in the highest-sleeping countries.

Bedtimes tend to stretch late, averaging 12:14 AM, while users typically wake up at 7:43 AM, leaving limited time for proper recovery. Many try to make up for this deficit with daytime naps, which reach an average of 53 minutes on Mondays, the highest globally. Through its platform, Oura aims to help users better understand and improve their sleep and overall recovery.

The Oura Ring 4 is available in six finishes and multiple sizes (4-15) to ensure a proper fit. The device integrates with over 40 apps and works with both Android and iOS.

This isn’t a proper successor to the Oura Ring 4, rather, it is a simple remake that replaces the stainless steel with a ceramic casing (a first for the company). So let’s have a look.

To recall, the original Oura Ring 4 arrived with a stainless steel body with a glossy finish. This has now been changed with a matte finish on the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic. You get bright new pastel colors, including blue, white, green, and pink. But using this material increased the weight since it now weighs around 5.1 to 8.1 grams. The interior of the ring still uses titanium, with the ring also being water resistant up to a depth of 100 meters.

Much of the advanced health trackers make a return, so you still get sensors for the skin temperature, heart rate, and SpO2 blood oxygen levels. An accelerometer can also track your movements which helps in fitness tracking activities like cycling and running. It can also track stress levels, heart health, and female menstrual cycle. On a single full charge, the smart rating can last between 5 to 8 days. You can also buy the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic with an optional charging case, which offers around five full charges. You can buy this smart ring for 499 US Dollars with the charging case set to debut later for 99 US Dollars.

The battle for the finger-worn health tracker crown appears to be heating up. Just as Samsung’s Galaxy Ring hits shelves, whispers of its main competitor’s next move have emerged. Android Authority spotted the “OA11” during a certification process, all but confirming it’s the Oura Ring 4.

The certification documents leave little room for speculation. It explicitly mentions the wearable name as “Oura Ring 4” and there’s another variant with model number “OA12,” which may be a design variant of the ring. 

The certification also includes images of the ring which reveal a shift in design from the Oura Gen 3 and its Horizon counterpart.

The Oura Ring 4 has a slightly raised middle section with a distinct gradation towards the edges. This replaces the seamless transition into the frame as seen on the previous model. While the outer shell appears metallic, you still have the familiar transparent sensor cover, likely made of synthetic resin.

The sensor layout shows some changes, but details are limited. It’s unclear if the Oura Ring 4 includes new sensors beyond the Oura Gen 3’s skin temperature, SpO2, and heart rate sensors.

Fortunately, there seem to be plenty of size options, as the ring is said to be tested in sizes 7, 9, 13, and 15. As a result, it’s fair to guess that the Oura Ring 4 will be available in sizes ranging from at least 7 to 15. The images included in the listing reportedly show a size 10 ring.

Oura has not officially confirmed the launch details for the Ring 4. However, with the certification process underway, the launch shouldn’t be far off.

Hopefully, the next round of information will clarify whether the Oura Ring 4 can maintain its lead in the smart ring market or if the new design is just a cosmetic update.
