<p>Back in April, Pine64 announced the PineBuds Pro TWS earbuds which the company claims is &#8216;the&nbsp;most advance active noise-canceling wireless earphones&#8217; yet. The earbuds have now been officially launched. So, let&#8217;s explore all of its features.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="897" height="526" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/pinebuds-pro_01.jpg?x10805" alt="Pine64" class="wp-image-500110" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/pinebuds-pro_01.jpg 897w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/pinebuds-pro_01-300x176.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/pinebuds-pro_01-768x450.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/pinebuds-pro_01-696x408.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/pinebuds-pro_01-716x420.jpg 716w" sizes="(max-width: 897px) 100vw, 897px" /></figure></div>

<p>Starting off, the PineBuds Pro utilizes 6mm, dynamic drivers, in each earphone, which the company claims can outperform the typical 10mm driver, in audio quality and bass reproduction while delivering a 20Hz-20KHz frequency response. The earbuds use Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity and offer support for AAC and SBC Bluetooth codecs.</p>

<p>Each earbud, according to PINE64, has three microphones that can give up to 45 dB of Hybrid Adaptive ANC between 50 and 200 Hz or -55 dB of maximum attenuation at 150 Hz. The company describes the PineBuds Pro as &#8220;the most advanced active noise-canceling wireless earphones&#8221; and has even included a graph to show how they outperform the AirPods Pro 2.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="599" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/PineBuds_Pro_6a.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-500109" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/PineBuds_Pro_6a.jpg 599w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/PineBuds_Pro_6a-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/PineBuds_Pro_6a-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/PineBuds_Pro_6a-419x420.jpg 419w" sizes="(max-width: 599px) 100vw, 599px" /></figure></div>

<p>The 40 mAh batteries in the PineBuds Pro should last up to 5 hours between charges. These batteries may be replenished using the 800 mAh battery built within the charging case that comes with the device. According to claims, the charging case can hold up to 4 full charges for a total of 25 hours of usage, and the earbuds themselves are IPX4-rated for resistance to dust and water ingress. Support for custom <a href="https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PineBuds_Pro" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">open-source firmware</a> is arguably one of the PineBuds Pro&#8217;s most exciting features.</p>

<p>Ordering the PineBuds Pro from PINE64 currently costs <a href="https://pine64.com/product/pinebuds-pro-open-firmware-capable-anc-wireless-earbuds/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">US$69.99</a> plus shipping and taxes.</p>
