On paper, its 6.8-inch LTPO OLED panel doesn’t look like a huge leap over last year’s Pixel 9 Pro XL, with the same 2,992 x 1,334 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. But DxOMark highlights a number of refinements that together make it the best display they’ve tested.

Among them is a new 480Hz PWM mode designed to reduce flicker, a dim 4-nit minimum brightness for comfortable use in the dark, and improved HDR performance that peaks at 2,200 nits outdoors. The lab also praised Google’s color tuning, calling it both vivid and accurate, with smooth adaptation to changing light conditions. With Google’s next big hardware showcase just weeks away, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is already in the news. A new leak has given us our clearest look yet at the company’s upcoming flagship, showing off its design in full.

The images, shared by WinFuture, reveal the Pixel 10 Pro XL in two finishes — Moonstone and Obsidian. At first glance, the phone doesn’t stray far from last year’s Pixel 9 Pro XL or the smaller Pixel 10 Pro, keeping the pill-shaped triple camera bar with its flash and temperature sensor. The frame is polished aluminum, and the back and front are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. On the right-hand side sit the power and volume buttons, this time with a glossy touch to match the premium feel.

The front features a large 6.8-inch OLED display, expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate and hit up to 3,000 nits at peak brightness — a notable bump for outdoor visibility. While these pictures don’t confirm internal changes, they do show Google sticking to a sleek, polished design language.

The Pixel 10 Pro XL is set to run on Google’s new Tensor G5 processor, designed to deliver better performance and efficiency while boosting Gemini capabilities. Camera hardware is expected to remain almost the same as its predecessor — a 50MP (1/1.31″) main sensor, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto (1/2.55″) — but with software tweaks for better low-light shots.

Battery capacity has been bumped slightly to 5,200mAh (up from 5060mAh), paired with 30W wired charging. With the leaks now out, the only surprises left might be in the software and AI features Google has kept under wraps.

Leaked information from Android Headlines has revealed full pricing and feature details for Google’s upcoming Pixel 10 lineup. According to the leak, the Pixel 10 will start at $799 in the US and $1,099 in Canada for 128GB. The 256GB version will be $899 in the US and $1,229 in Canada. Buyers are expected to get six months of Google AI Pro, six months of Fitbit Premium, and three months of YouTube Premium.

The Pixel 10 Pro is likely to keep the $999 starting price for 128GB ($1,349 CAD). The 256GB model is listed at $1,099 ($1,479 CAD), 512GB at $1,219 ($1,649 CAD), and 1TB at $1,449 ($1,949 CAD). These models are also expected to include a year of Google AI Pro, six months of Fitbit Premium, and three months of YouTube Premium.

For the Pixel 10 Pro XL, the leaked pricing starts at $1,199 for 256GB ($1,629 CAD), with 512GB at $1,319 ($1,799 CAD), and 1TB at $1,549 ($2,099 CAD). While this looks like a price jump, it matches the 256GB Pixel 9 Pro XL pricing from last year.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is reportedly keeping the same pricing: $1,799 for 256GB ($2,399 CAD), $1,919 for 512GB ($2,569 CAD), and $2,149 for 1TB ($2,869 CAD).

Previous leaks also suggest hardware upgrades. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold may feature a 6.4-inch outer screen, an 8-inch main display, a more durable hinge made from multi-alloy steel, and an aluminum body. It may be the first foldable to carry an IP68 rating, and is expected to offer up to 72 hours of battery life with Extreme Battery Saver.

The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL are expected to retain their 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch screens, include a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide with autofocus, and a 48MP 5x telephoto with 100x Pro Res Zoom and 8K video. Battery life may reach 100 hours.

The base Pixel 10 may offer a 48MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide, and a new 11MP telephoto lens with 20x Pro Res Zoom, all packed into a 6.3-inch body.

Google Pixel 10 Pro & Pixel 10 Pro XL Renders

First up, we have the compact flagship, the Google Pixel 10 Pro. Like its predecessor, the iconic visor camera design makes its return that showcases the triple camera setup on the rear. This model can be seen in multiple color options, namely Obsidian, Jade, Moonstone, and Porcelain. We have already seen the Obsidian and Porcelain colors, but the Moonstone and Jade are brand new.

The Moonstone is a more sober color option that blends gray and blue, while Jade has a light green hue that adds some vibrance to the mix. Google adds a touch of elegance with a light golden frame as well. Looking at the Pixel 10 Pro XL renders, you get the same four color options. So apart from the taller display, the design is basically identical between the two Pixel 10 Pro series models.

Earlier this week, the base Pixel 10 also had its entire design and color variants leaked as well. The Obsidian (Black) color was the most basic option, but every other version was brighter and bolder. Google Pixel 10 Series: Design & Display

Google isn’t planning a major redesign with its upcoming Pixel 10 lineup. Many liked the flat iPhone-like design, which returning along with the visor camera module. While the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL are expected to receive an vapor chamber for cooling, rumors have hinted that Google could skip the vapor chamber for thermal management on the base model once again.

The standard Pixel 10 might arrive in multiple color options, namely Obsidian, Frost, Lemongrass, Indigo, Lemongrass, and Indigo. Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro series is rumored to come in Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone, and Jade. So now let’s have a look at the display:

Performance

Google is set to equip the entire Pixel 10 lineup with its latest Tensor G5 chipset. It is expected to bring various upgrades in performance, power efficiency, and even AI workloads. This chip also marks a big shift for Google as it changes its chip making partner from Samsung to TSMC, using TSMC’s N3E advanced 3nm process node. The custom TPU in this processor might allow allow for on-device machine learning as well.

Battery & Charging

Reports have hinted that the battery size is getting an upgrade across the new series. The base Pixel 10 may house a 4,970mAh battery pack, which could support 29W wired fast charging and 15W wireless Qi2 wireless charging. Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro has identical charging specs but a slightly smaller 4,870mAh cell. Lastly, the Pixel 10 Pro XL packs the largest 5,200mAh battery with 39W wired fast charging and the same wireless charging speeds.

Camera

In a surprising turn of events, the base Pixel is getting both an upgrade and a downgrade at the same time this year. Its main camera is losing the same main sensor as the more expensive Pro series, exchanging it with the Pixel 9a’s 1/2.0-inch 48MP shooter. Even the ultra wide angle lens is expected to get downgraded to a 13MP shooter (down from 48MP). But the base model finally gains a 10.8MP telephoto shooter (5x optical zoom).

On the other hand, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL are set to retain the same rear cameras setup as their predecessors, which consists of a 50MP (main), a 48MP (ultra wide), and a 48MP (periscope telephoto) with 5x optical zoom. While this may appear identical to the Pixel 9 Pros, it includes a new Samsung GN8 main camera. For selfies and video calls, the front has a 42MP shooter with autofocus on the Pro models and a 10.5MP camera on the base Pixel 10.

Pricing & Launch Date

The premium new Pixel phones are likely being announced next month on August 20th, with first sales kicking off around the 28th. A recent pricing leak even hinted that the price will remain the same over the Pixel 9 models, at least in Europe:

Google will officially launch its Pixel 10 series on August 20, with sales beginning August 28. The European pricing for all variants has leaked, revealing no change from the Pixel 9 series despite earlier reports suggesting a price hike.

The Pixel 10 base model will be available at €899 for 128GB and €999 for 256GB. The Pixel 10 Pro starts at €1,099 for 128GB and goes up to €1,589 for the new 1TB option. The Pixel 10 Pro XL eliminates the 128GB option, starting at €1,299 for 256GB, with 512GB and 1TB variants priced at €1,429 and €1,689, respectively. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will cost €1,899 for 256GB, €2,029 for 512GB, and €2,289 for 1TB.

All models run on the new Tensor G5 chip, manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process, and come with 12GB of RAM. Camera upgrades include a 50MP Samsung GN8 main sensor, a 13MP Sony IMX712 ultra-wide lens, and, for the first time, an 11MP zoom lens in the standard Pixel 10.

These pricing decisions and hardware upgrades are aimed at attracting both returning users and professionals seeking more power and storage without a cost increase.

Earlier leaks had already revealed full specifications of the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL. The Pro XL increases display size to 6.8 inches at 2992 x 1344 resolution, starts at 256GB, and offers a 5,200mAh battery with 39W charging.

Both models support 1Hz–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, peak brightness up to 3000 nits, and come with a 42MP selfie camera. Rear setups include a 50MP main, 48MP ultra-wide, and 48MP periscope lens with 5x zoom. Wireless charging at 15W using Qi2 is also supported.

Google’s Pixel 10 series isn’t expected until later this year, but a new leak from reliable tipster Arsène Lupin has already revealed what buyers can expect in terms of color and storage variants across the lineup. The leak covers all four rumored models: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Pixel 10 keeps 128GB as base, 10 Pro starts at 256GB

The standard Pixel 10 will reportedly ship in two storage options, 128GB and 256GB, keeping it in line with previous entry-level Pixel phones. As for the color options, it will be available in Obsidian, Frost, Lemongrass, and Indigo. Lemongrass and Indigo shades. 

The Pixel 10 Pro will offer considerably more variety. Its storage options include 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Whereas, users will get a choice of Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone, and Jade for colors. 

Moving up the ladder, we have the Pixel 10 Pro XL. According to Lupin, it will skip the base 128GB option and start at 256GB, with additional 512GB and 1TB options. The color options are the same as the Pixel 10 Pro. 

Finally, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to be available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants. However, color options for the foldable are limited to just Moonstone and Jade. That means, unlike last year, there’s no black or white version this time around. 

Google typically reveals its new Pixel phones in October, so these early details might still change. However, Arsène Lupin’s track record with accurate leaks adds weight to this report. With launch season approaching, more concrete details are likely to surface soon.

As we are inching closer to the official unveiling of Google’s Pixel 10 series, leaks are also revealing certain aspects of the devices under development. According to a recent report, the base Pixel 10 would finally snag a telephoto lens, aligning it with the Pro models. Now, thanks to insider documents viewed by Android Authority, we’ve got the full camera specifications of all models—and it’s a mixed bag of upgrades and compromises.

The addition of a telephoto in the Pixel 10 is accompanied by downgraded main and ultrawide

Since the Pixel 6, the base models have included only wide and ultrawide lenses on the back, while Pro models pack an additional telephoto lens. The Pixel 10 series rewrites that script. The base Pixel 10 gains an 11MP Samsung 3J1 telephoto—borrowed from the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

But here’s a catch: its primary sensor swaps the hefty GNV (1/1.31″) for the smaller Samsung GN8 (1/1.95″), and the ultrawide drops from an IMX858 (1/2.55″) to a Sony IMX712 (1/3.1″). Notably, these are the exact same sensors the Pixel 9a uses, which is a bit disappointing.

Smaller sensors have weaker low-light performance, a trade-off Google’s AI and algorithms can only soften, not erase. The selfie cam holds steady from last year, but the rest feels like a Pixel 9a remix with an added telephoto.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL keep their camera hardware unchanged, leaning on the Tensor G5’s custom ISP and fresh algorithms to squeeze out improvements. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold gets a minor tweak, ditching the Sony IMX787 (Pixel 8a) for the GN8 (Pixel 9a), but it hardly deserves a headline.

Google is widening the gap between its base and Pro tiers, a trend that kicked off last year. The Pixel 10’s camera downgrade—swapping bigger sensors for smaller ones—likely offsets the cost and space of that new telephoto lens. Later this year, we’ll see if Google’s gamble pays off. Despite the smaller main and ultrawide sensors on the base model, the final output may not differ much compared to the Pixel 9—since image processing plays a major role and can improve independently of the sensors.

The Google Pixel 10 series will likely launch in the second half of this year, and it’s already making headlines. The latest ones are about the leaked renders shared by OnLeaks in collaboration with Android Headlines. While the base Pixel 10 has grabbed attention with a third lens on the back, the Pixel 10 Pro XL doesn’t appear to have anything interesting—or at least, anything new. Take a look at the leaked render of the XL model below.

For those who don’t recall, the flat middle frame with slightly rounded edges was also a part of the 9 Pro XL. In fact, according to the render, the middle frame will also have a glossy finish like its predecessor. Moving on to the back, the camera island also has the same design (which looks sweet, by the way). The only significant difference is in the positioning of the bottom-firing speakers. Unlike its predecessor, the 10 Pro XL apparently has two separate cutouts instead of one at the left side.

Instead, the Pixel 10 Pro XL appears to be a larger version of the Pixel 10 Pro, continuing the trend seen with last year’s Pixel 9 Pro XL. The upcoming XL model is said to have a 6.8-inch display, which is also the same as the 9 Pro XL.

Pixel 10 Pro XL could stand out from its predecessor in terms of performance

Under the hood, the Pixel 10 Pro XL will reportedly feature Google’s Tensor G5 SoC, which, unlike the external design, is a big step up from last year. Tensor chips launched so far were very similar to Exynos, both in terms of performance and power efficiency. To put it simply, the Pixel phones released with Tensor so far have failed to compete with other flagships running on Snapdragon chips in terms of raw performance.

The Tensor G5, however, is Google’s first fully in-house processor, and it will be manufactured by TSMC using its 3nm process. It means the Pixel 10 series (including the 10 Pro XL) will likely stand out from its predecessor in at least two aspects – raw performance and battery life. It will also likely be paired with Google’s latest and best AI capabilities.
